New teams can just signup, however if you played last cup you need to assign skill points into the 5 categories. A simple 1-1-1-1-1 for Shooting, Keeping, Defending, Attacking and Stamina is all you need. I will be listing how many points you have in the top of the thread. People with skill points will get preference over those without.

Pleasantview Ravens are sending their U21 team to represent the nation in spite of the official boycott by the nation. Instead of chancing sanction by the country by sending their team to the WC they thought they would try the U21 first before pushing too much despite the wish of the people in the city of Loyalty Bay (where the neighbourhood of Pleasantview is located).

RAVENS IGNORE WORLD CUP BAN. (http://www.geocities.com/PopularFreedomTicker/2006-02-08-001.html)
Will participate in Under 21 World Cup tourney.

Report by: Tony Williams
PFT News, Loyalty Bay

After the nation as a whole decided to boycott the World Cup after the recent debacle of favouritism and biased refereeing the city of Loyalty Bay, and specifically the Pleasantview Ravens organization has decided to ignore that ban and sign up, on their own, for the Under 21 World Cup, on behalf of the nation. ...

Loyalty Bay - After the earlier announcement today that the Pleasantview Ravens under 21 squad would be ignoring the national boycott of World Cup Football events, fans from other teams in the city had begun arriving in massive numbers in the neighbourhood of Pleasantview to voice their displeasure to what they deem as being a powerplay move by their rival in Pleasantview. ...

I remember quite a lot of things, just not that particular detail since for the record, I signed up for the U21 before, but never really participated as could never find the thread (not that I looked all that hard)...

Appreciate the info, not thrilled with the attitude...

The Solar Association would like to participate.

I signed up for the last one, but did not participate nor post, due to (firstly) my computer "dying" and (secondly) losing my job.

Now I am employed, and paid, again; as well, I have a new computer.

IIRC, on the former occasion one had to choose a style of play. I am not clear, not fully "up to speed with," this point-based method. Could someone explain and/or direct me to a post and/or thread with details?

OTOH, since I have, I suspect, zero points to "spend," the matter, the whole thing would be moot. Contrarily and otherwise: if I have a point, I assign it to Stamina (i.e., 0-0-0-0-1) in the hopes to outlast my opponents, to continue when they are weary.

My apologies. Having been blocked, prevented from NationStates for not quite, just under, 10 weeks, I was unaware the U21 I signed up for had, as the saying goes, fizzled out.

Upon reviewing and rereading the relevant threads & co., I am now up to speed, caught up with, events - - - well, sorta kinda. At least I no "get it" that this is a, if you will, reboot or restart of the one I did sign up for.

I can't be buggered trying to catch up, figure it out, work through it all. If whoever's running this can't be bothered keeping people informed, up-to-date, then hang it all. Not everyone who signed up has hours to kill every day; I at least have a living to make, a job to deal with.

My recommendation is to check the first post of the signup topic consistently: usually TnUI will put when the expected start date is. Then, run a Jolt Search for Under-21, or words that consistently appear in U21 topics - "group", "Starblaydia" etc. ;)

I'm with TnUI on this one. No one has hours to spare. You don't, I don't, and neither does TnUI. Surely you can't expect him to update all the 35 nations involved at every stage of the competition...he has a life too. The least you could do is spend 5 minutes and check/search the forums for related threads and if time permits maybe spend a minute posting a short RP if you don't have time to post a detailed one. Or, as he said, if you don't have time to take part in an active RP cup, then forsake it.
