Associated Press: New equipment to undergo trials

Today, the new equipment that is under development for the ASoGM military, will undergo testing to determine any potential issues. The Unimog U2450L 6x6 truck will begin serving the ASoGM military once it passes these trials, and the Glock 18 pistol will be issued to police once it satisfies their testing. Production of this equipment is estimated to be approximately 1,000 Unimog vehicles, and 10,000 Glock 18 pistols per NS year.

Re: Naval protection

We, at the Ministry of Defense, feel that it is imperative that we increase the defensability of our coastline. We have numerous plans to accomplish this, but we feel one of the better ideas we have is for a high speed, hit and run vehicle or vehicles. We have recently been investigating ground effect craft, or WIGEs, and we feel that we may be able to build a craft using composites that offers the reliability and performance that we need. Also, we will need to develop munitions, tactics, and a training program at the same time as we develop the craft. Enclosed is data about an old Russian WIGE, that we feel that we can improve upon.

[later on]

Robert Whey finished reading the memo, as well as the attached information, and faxed the documents to the other Ministers. Shortly after, he recieved replies from them, stating their approval for the project. Calling the Minister of Defense's office, he was transferred immediately.

"Hello, David Drefrees speaking"

"Dave, it's Bob. I just heard from the other Ministers, they've approved the project"

"That's great news, Bob. I'll get my teams started right away"

"Good to hear. I'll need regular progress reports, though"

"Not a problem"

"Sounds good. I'll talk to you later"

Robert hung up the phone, leaned back in his chair, and hoped this is what his nation would need to make sure the ASoGM would always be safe.

Re: Project Dove

Project Dove has been making steady progress since its inception. We are working right now to finish designing the frame and control systems. We hope to make the craft lighter, yet more durable, and we are planning to put in more powerful engines to increase speed. We do plan on keeping the armament internal, as opposed to the original storing of 6 SS-N-22 Sunburn missiles externally. We are shooting for a a weapons loadout of 6 Tomahawk cruise missiles and 4 Sea Sparrows, assuming we can get our hands on quantities of each type of missile. Our final concern centers around the percieved lack of manuverability. We hope to address that by using larger control surfaces, as well as differential thrust.

Re: Project Dove

Project Dove is almost at completion, with a shakedown cruise and other testing to be completed soon. We have increased control surfaces, modernized the radar, fire control system, and piloting controls, and increased the engine output. The power increase coupled with the reduced weight (from using composites), should allow Project Dove to attaign speeds of 310 knots. An update will be issued to your office, once the testing has been finished.
