Burgundian Summit (closed: GPE only)

Cherry Ridge

To: All Burgundian Heads of State
CC: Emperor Napoleon Charles de Sanglant, Emperor of Greater Prussia; Tsar Alexei Alexandrovich Andropov XIV, Archchancellor of Greater Prussia

From: His Majesty King John Antonette, King of Burgundy

My Fellow Burgundians,
I feel it is time to call a summit of all Burgundian national leaders. The kingdom, though it may not appear so, is in disarray. We have a million man Burgundian Guard, however, it is not organized. We hardly ever have contact with each other, and even less with the rest of Greater Prussia. We are extremly small in number, and I wish to discuss recruiting. Another great matter to be discussed will be the problem of the lack of regional governance. I will be appointing a Marechal of the Burgundian Guard, and Secratary of Internal Affairs (treasury and civilian governance) who shall hold the honorary rank of Marechal, and its priveledges, but who will not be involved in actual military operations, unless I say so.
Attendance at this conference is mandatory, and it must be attended by the national leaders.

God Bless,
King John I

The suborbital transport approached the the Holy Catholic Monarchy of Cherry Ridge. Emperor Paul VII had been called away from a conference on genocide to attend this conference and gazed out the window, a few hundred miles off shore, but approaching at high Mach. It was the need to slow the craft down that required that they be out so far. I wonder when I'll be able to be home again he thought to himself. Scanning the agenda for the conference, he noted that the disorganized nature of the regional military was at the top of the list. I should call in Norman Adler, he thought, making a mental note to bring in the Marine Commandant, who had recently overseen the restructuring of the Marine Corps.

"Attention Cherry Ridge, this is the Neu Bayern Express, request landing instructions."

"Another?" Alexei shook his head as he took a sip of some Birch Beer as he read the call for a Burgundian summit. As Arch-Chancellor of GPE, as well as the Protector of Burgundy, he had to attend, but that left no one back here to really run things. But Prince John was in Reichsburg, and sure, Papen was in Cherry Ridge already, but he's is on vacation. Damn.

I'll send Menshevsky. Maksim Molotovich Menshevsky, the Deputy Foreign Minister, has been doing a lot lately, with Papen getting ready to retire. It'll be a good learning experience for the young one. Tsar Alexei sent off a message to Menshevsky to tell him to get ready, and send another to King John, telling him that he couldn't be there, and he's sending Menshevsky in his place.

Queen Mariah's recognisable plane landed. Most world leaders stopped using Lear Jets a long time ago but the Queen's hot pink plane did the job.

She stepped off her plane with Inquisitor James and a personal servant who carried her bags. She was wearing a blue denim dress, black belt and blue shoes. Her sword was strapped to her Samurai style. They waited for the welcoming party.

ooc- Just assume this automaticly happens for all who arrive. You all have permission to land.

ic-
A convoy of five black cars pulled onto the runway. The leading two, and the last two were SUVs of some sort, and the middle car a limosine. A Burgundian guard Colonel stepped out, with two captains, and saluted the head of state.
"Welcome to Cherry Ridge, if you would follow me, I will bring you to the Royal Estate." He turned around, and led them to the car. The tiny guard service was the only part of the guard that knew how to function. A Liutenant drove them through the Ridgian streets. They arrived at an area in the noble area of town. They made a sharp turn down a cobblestone street, and arrived at enourmous gates, made of gold. In bright letters, the gate was marked: Royal Estate of Cherry Ridge. In smaller letters under that it said, The Reign of King John I. The Colnel roleld down his window and declared,
"Burgundian Summit" and showed him his ID, and a pass signed by the King. The guard nodded them through. The drove up another narrow, paved road. Wide fields streched out on either side, and in the distance was a forest. They came an oval area, and the four escorts turned around, but the limosine kept driving. On the Estate grounds was an armoury, a somewhat large garrison of Ridgian soldiers, another somewhat large garrison of Burgundian Guard, and a church (that contaiend the ruins of a monastary). There were also numerous small ponds, and one large lake, on which a detachment of Ridgian Naval Guard were stationed. (Naval Guards are the Ridgian coast guard, except there is no seperate coast guard, the navy handle that job as well). There were other buildings, and of course, an OSS office. There was also, obviously, the palace.
The car approached, and drived around a huge fountain, and to the palace front. The got out, and were escorted through the secure hallways, to a large area, with guards stationed at various points aroudn the room. There were many seats in a semi-circle design, with three main seats in the front. Their bags were taken to their rooms, and they were showed where their seats were, encouraged to put their bags down, and then encouraged to go to a small lounge off to the side.

In side the lounge sat King John Antonette, on a large, reclinable, armchair, sipping some Baileys Irish Cream, waiting for guests.

Queen Mariah changed her dress to more formal one although it looked less revealing version of the Ninja dress of Kasumi from the "Dead or Alive" video game, but still not exactly one for the consersative dresser. The only difference was it was red and her sword was not Oriental. She looked more like an assasin that the Queen of Holy Lands - a very good looking assasin that was. She did the "original" dress as well.

Inquisitor James dressed in all black as per normal. He walked into her room and said "You going to kill someone or dressed to kill?" and she smiled "Preferably the latter. Everyone in GPE knows I'm not some kind of home-mother kind wife. Let's go James!". He shook his head "Well, at least you don't pretend to be one."

She walked into the lounge with James "God bless you King John. How is King of Burgundy? I do apologise for not paying more attention to the military matters of Burgundy. Keeping an eye on the accounts of GPE isn't that simple. Say, still looking for Miss Right still?"

Maksim Molotovich Menshevsky walked into the room unceremoniously, wearing a white suit, but with a black vest under the jacket, and a "mob hat." However, for all his flashiness, this was his first major conference, so he was a tad nervous, but he quickly suppressed it and overcame. He pushed the brim of his hat up so it revealed his face, and identified King John. Maksim walked over, took of his hat, and extended his hand, as well as revealing his very thick Sicilian accent, contrary to his Russian name.

"Good afternoon, your Majesty. Alexei sends his apologies that he could not be present personally."

Queen Mariah replied "That's no problem. We are here to fix the military problems, hopefully no financial issues get in the way as they sometimes too."

She turns to Maksim "Nice to meet you Maksim Molotovich Menshevsky. I'm Queen Mariah of Jeruselem otherwise known as Princess Penny of Jeruselem. But I'm sure you knew that already. How is Alexei and family?".

The scene did look a little weird with a female Ninja assassin and three males in black in the room.

"Well, actually, that is why Alexei could not come. He didn't want me to tell anyone, but you are all close confidants and friends of his -- and John, I think he intended on writing you earlier. Xavier, his newborn son, is having some medical troubles, and is not in good shape at the moment -- the doctors do not know if he will make it. He is currently not partaking in any official business and letting the Council of Ministers take over, as he and Katherine stay with his son.

My son is always hurting himself when playing sport as he is rather aggressive when it comes to sport. My daughter is a bit small and you have to watch her a bit. I was rather small too, hence why I'm not exactly tall. Jeruselem is happy to send it's best doctors to help Alexei. I understand why you need a drink or more."

King Felipe VI landed off his plane and a Marine band escorted him off to the summit. Most Golencian leaders ignored the Mandatory Summits, but he hoped to change that and begin salvaging what was left of the Golencian Reputation. In all black Robes, including a black dress cape that trailed behind him, he made his way into the meeting. He removed the cape and revealed, what appeared to be a black Papal outfit. He began shaking hands with leaders he had previously met, and kept a lookout for any whom had daughters that could serve as his Queen. He didn't like to marry outside of the Kingdom or Religion.

First on his agenda however was to meet with the Ridgians. He began making his way through the crowd in hopes of seeing them.

"The First Burgundian Summit is now in session. The Imitorans have informed me they will be late, and I fear Sed Noime Tuo will not last much longer."
He lowered his voice and said,
"Our first order of business is the regional military. It is not organized. Does anybody have any ideas on how to organize it?"

Maksim mostly sat in the back and listened as King John opened the summit. Since Derscon technically was not a member of Burgundy, he was instructed not to take an overly active role. However, Tsar Alexei was both Arch-Chancellor of the Greater Prussian Empire and Protector of Burgundy, someone from Derscon needed to be there.

Hence, Maksim was sitting down, sipping a drink he got from the bar as the King brought up the first suggestion -- a Burgundian military.

That sparked his interest.

Queen Mariah decided to speak up
"Maybe we should a council of generals from each nation in Burgundy with forces donated to the Burgurdian Guard. Any nation with no forces can be there as an observer. Each general or representive will be appointed by the head of state and is responsible for the management of the Burgurdian Guard in their nation. This council will be accountable to King of Burgundy and provide feedback on their effectiveness. Naturally this council can be overridden if required by the King of Burgundy. They will be operational controllers, but we - heads of state still make the decision to commit to guards to any conflict that arises."

King Felipe looked blankly then stood up clearing his throat. "Well tis simple. Have them send the donations, those fearful of doing so or "misplace" the notice, should then be host to the Burgundian Guard whom will secure it and bring it back." "We need to secure monetary donations from all Burgundians. How should we go about this?"

"As the nation in charge of running the treasury. We say donations should be based on ability to contribute and future ability to contribute. For example Cherry Ridge and Jeruselem run trade surpluses constantly while sadly Imitora is running a massive trade deficit, but it does have a GDP of 213 trillion. Each nation should work out what it can afford first. We don't expect much of contribution from a nation in a civil war for example."
Imitora
13-01-2006, 18:46
"Then I think that we should elect a new Minister of Fiancace while we are at it," a soft, yet authoratative, voice called from the back of the room. "Because as it stands, Imitora shows no trade deficiet. Hell, we hardly import anything other than cars. Electronics, aircraft, weapons, munitions, pens, pencils, paint, hell, even diapers worn by Imitoran babies are made in Imitora. We are fairly self sustained and have been so for well, as long as I can rember."

The man was leaning against a back wall, and slowly began to move forward into the room. He frowned at the sight of the nation heads, dressed as if this were some sort of costume party or joke, and not what it was, a meeting of minds. He was dressed in the same way Imitoran leaders had dressed for again, as long as he could remeber. A simple suit, nothing fancy or flashy, black jacket and pants, over a white collered dress shirt and blue tie. His dark hair was left alone in its light curl, and the only weapon he carried were his two fists. Which, with his background, was more than enough to handle any problem.

President Thomas "Hoot" Gibbson strolled casually to an empty chair, pulled it out, and slid into it silently. He leaned back, and accepted a cup of black coffee, and took a long pull. "I appologize for my tardiness, but clean up after a Civil War is never really easy, even one as quick as ours. Hell, it was more of a Civil Three Week Battle."

Hoot was refering to the recent Civil War, or really, Coupe that had just taken in place in Imitora. What started out as a simple jail break quickly spurned into an all out run for the north, with a group of rebels, with the convinent backing of the Imitoran Marine Corp, over took Northampton and the seat of Imitoran government. In just under four weeks, the rebelion had, under the leadership of Gibbson and his close friend Robert Fortier, now the Director of Intelligence and Head of the ICIA, swept into Northampton, quickly crushing what little force had sided with the queen.

Fortier, with the help of a few close freinds, waged a private war against the INSA, while Hoot, who had been promoted to the rank of Captain, but still handed out orders to those far above him, led the assault on the city. Damage had been minimal, but the reorginization and clean up was still going on. Hoot had been appointed President, and would hold the position till actuall elections could be held, but the polls showed that he had the best chance of winning. However, now was not the time for him to lay a plea of help on the table. Instead, he was here to represent Imitora the way it always had been represented: a strong, powerful force that would not let any one body get in its way of growth.

He leaned forward onto the table, and then looked around quickly. "So," he started, putting his coffee down, "what did I miss?"

OOC: The only numbers I really accept off the NS Economy chart is the population and GDP and GDP per capita, becuase those are non reliant on RP. I don't RP trade, because Imitora doesn't buy foriegn goods (save cars, as stated above), and isn't in the buisness of selling its technology to just any one. They are alos only reliant on issues, and I haven't answered those in God only knows how long. The only real trade I've ever RPed was purchasing basically an entire Navy from Scandanavian States, and that was about 5 or six months ago, so lets say 5 years NS time, so I'm pretty sure its been paid off.

King John said,
"Well, I guess the data is from the civil war. Things get screwed up when people revolt against a legitimate monarch, and have her murdered. However, your regime is in power, and so, you are recognized as the ruler of Imitora. I trust you pose no threat to the Kingdom or the Empire as a whole."

13-01-2006, 23:47
"Well, legitimacy only goes as far as the people accept it," Gibbson countered.

He paused, took a sip of his coffee, and let his symbolic "fuck you" settle in for a moment. He then started up again, noting that no one was interjecting. He put his coffee down, and picked up a manilla file, and opened it. "Ladies and gentlemen," he started, "a breif over view shows that one of the major problems facing the kingdom at the moment is our area of defense. While Imitora has submited about fifty thousand regulars to this Burgundian Guard, which from my understanding is borderline useless. And expecting Imitorans, or for this matter, and Burgundian, to donate in any form to some designs, considering thats all we have, is again, not what I would consider a financially sound move. Further, the Imitoran Navy and Airforce are far more than capable of handling any threats with out having to be part of a larger force."

He paused, and then looked over some number on the sheets, again allowing his words to settle in. "Imitora has always held the line that she asks no one to stand up for her, and, while accepting any help, will gladly forge ahead on her own path to greatness. It was in this spirit that the Imitoran National Defense Network was created. The system has been used twice, with great success. It has held a protective shield over our homeland for longer than the reign of any First Speaker, false queen, or President has held the wheel of Imitora."

"The system is massive, to say the least, consisting of both recon and hunter killer satalites, several missle defense bases, numerous naval nets, and a number of anti-invasion weapon systems. KT422 Satalites can designate and track targets, relay information on targets, identify threats, and even intercept enemy communications and send them to our ground forces. KT996 and 998 Hunter Killer satalites use a combination of chemical and heat lasers as well as GPS guided missles with plasmatic war heads to deliver extremly accurate and devistating blows to enemy forces. Massive Area Denial Weapons consisting of large artillery cannons that fire anti-matter and plasmatic war head shells can lay down an effective shield of destruction to both air and sea based invaders. Pantheon Missle Bases have the ability to launch both interceptor missles that use both RADAR and LIRDAR to put an, explosive, barrier between any missles that get past the MADs. They can also launch, with very short notice, missles with both plasmatic and anti-matter war heads into both invading targets and targets in other nations."

He paused, and flipped the page, taking another sip of coffee. "Further, a massive sonar network, along with constant air and sea patrols, give us an early warning for any invading forces, and, in corelation with the KT422s, give us a theoretical unlimited range of warning and more than enough time to act. The entire system is brought together by a small number of super computers that also tie into the ICIA and IMI networks that allow warnings to come all but instantly. Its controled by the ATHENA MkIX combat control AI, a massive input version of our ATHENA MkV, the AI Combat Control Computer that handles the complex operations that back up our fighter pilots. The system is monitered twenty four seven, and can, with my order alone, be overided and operated by a medium sized staff of Imitoran Naval Intelligence officers and Imitoran Space Navy officers."

"Ladies and gentlemen, the system is, and I say this with one hundred percent certinty, flawless. It is already in place, and operates on a suprisingly minimal cost. A cost that will not need to be born by any of your citizens, as it is all figured into our current budget. All we would need to intigrate any of your national systems into the defense networks would be authorization and a few wires to be conected, and within minutes, the network would be operating at near five hundred percent higer effectiveness. Of course, due to the amount of Imitoran technology that is still highly classified that went into the system, it would be run by Imitorans trained specifically to use it, and would still, in theory, be under my control. However, its cheap for you, and far beyond that which we consider above effective. In its essence the defense network, which has nicknamed tinechor, an ancient Imitoran word for shield, is perfect."

Gibbson paused, and closed the folder, tucking it into a brief case he had brought with him, and closing it. "Of course, we would only begin the operation of intigrating the entire kingdome with the kings permission. Else wise, we'll just keep it to ourselves."

The King took a sip from his glass of Gin, making sure not to spill even the smallest fraction of a drop onto his black robes. He then watched as the overconfident Imitoran continued with an enlarged ego. "Asshole" he thought to himself. Then he heard John, he smiled at the quote, then spoke up. Emperor Paul VII yawned as the Imitoran president went on about his defense system. Honestly, does he think that we're all idiots? he thought to himself. Some of us do happen to know something about the militaries we control.

"A flawless system for minimal cost you say? We find that claim of yours to be rather laughable. Why don't we try a test of your system? A wargame between our forces and your defense system using simulated weapons, using the scenario of a surprise attack by our military upon yours. Our bet is that within the first two hours your nation will be nothing but a simulated radioactive cinder, despite your supposedly perfect system."

Taking a sip from the glass of water that he kept with him, he went on, "And as for the silliness of contributing designs: Who do you think will end up building those weapons? My subjects are quite happy for the jobs that this will provide."

"If we are to integrate the Imitoran National Defense Network as the primary global defense system, firstly we would have to ensure our current sovereign terrestial and extra-terrestial systems are compatible. This means information sharing, something inteligence agencies don't do with each other very well. While Jeruselem's SkyNet system isn't going to stop an alien invasion anytime, it is still an operational self-defense system which serves a purpose. In the end, our global defense networks should work in harmony with each other. If it is to work, we have to trust our secrets with others which is not something that just happens"

SkyNet is mainly an anti-ballistic system with additional capabilities to knock out orbitting satellites and extra-terrestrial object tracking systems for near Earth objects.

Hoot chuckled. He looked at the Civitian, and sighed. "Imitoran's dont play games, but if you wish, you can say the game as already begun. I consider this the start of the game. If you think your weapons are so great, then I say you can bring them on."

With that, he produced a black cell phone, and flipped it open. He punched a key and hit send, and within seconds, he was connected to the Tinechor command center. "Yes, this is President Gibbson. Game. Full level reaction. Civitas Americae. Yes, open decleration." He hung up, and slid the phone back into his pocket. "Thanks for the advanced warning," Hoot replied to the Emperor. "At this point, your military basses should be reporting in bound hostile missles. All simulated of course, but all carrying simulated anti-matter and plasmatic war heads. They make nukes look like fire crackers, you should really see them explode. Everything in the field of detonation evaporates. Its rather fun to watch."

He pulled his briefcase in, and stood up, pushing the chair out. "Its sad to see that the weak find themselves so strong," Hoot said, nodding towards the Civitan. "It'll be fun to see what you can throw at us that you believe can survive the same pressures and heat of flying through the center of what essentially is a star, or trying to exisit in a field that doesn't allow for existance. Best of luck to you, I assume we won't be simulating a landing though. Hate to scare your citizens into a panic."

He smiled, took one last long swig of his coffee, and nodded to some of the other delegates. "After you all see the actuall ability of this system to repell anything thats thrown at it, you'll know how to reach me to get my technicians out to your nations for intigration. I wish you all the best, and please, feel free to stop by in Imitora." He nodded one last time, and made his way out of the room.

For all better purposes, Imitora was now back at war, and he wanted to be in his nation to finish out what he had started. Missle basses across Imitora began broadcasting launch signals of high yeild weapons all heading towards Civitan basses. The defense system was on full alert, and any and all non Imitoran satalites over Imitoran space had been targeted by the KT Hunter Killer satalites. All the MAD systems began start up procedures, and within minutes, were fully operational and began sky sweeping measures. The sky was emptied of all civilian aircraft, and soon F/A-86 Ravens and F96 Archanglesks began combat air patrols. Imitora was on lock down, and the chances of anyone getting in were minimal, at the best.

OOC: Take the sky cleaners and the massive missle base from Ace Combat 4, the Scinfraxi and Hrimfraxi and Archbird from Ace Combat 5, SkyNet, and Winback, multiply it by about a hundred, and thats just a taste of what Tinechor is.

That was afterall the point of making the simulation a surprise attack, to test your system at the worst possible conditions, not the best," drawled the emperor, rather impressively seeing as he was still speaking in Latin, the official language of Civitas Americae. "Oh well, I guess you'll be able to have few extra minutes to try and live up to your promises

Civitas Americae

Air raid sirens wailed in every city and every base across the country as the missiles were detected. Missiles took a good long while to actually reach their targets, and these were no exceptions. Quite unfortunately for Imitora's attack, anti-missile defense was taken rather seriously by the Organized Militia. Deep underground, in the middle of nowhere, a captain walked over to an Organized Militia general.

"Sir, all batteries report that the sky is clear. Of the initial strike, twelve missiles leaked through. All but one were intercepted by point defense missiles. The one that got through is judged to have annihilated the naval base at Braumsburg. Casualties are estimated at 25,000 dead, it hit right over some shelters."

Nodding, the general replied, "Thank you captain. I do wish the Imitorans had actually understood the point of this exercise however." Smiling, "And our first wave of bombers should be hitting them soon."

The instant Imitora had begun their simulated engagement, a thousand special trains halted for a brief two minutes before continuing on again. A corps worth of suborbital bombers launched into the sky, to begin their brief journey. Armed with two one-megaton rockets, their job was simple:Blow a hole in the enemy air defense for the Valkyries to come through. At 50 miles high and Mach 17, airborne fighters were best described as irrelevant. While there were systems that could take them out, they couldn't take them out before they launched their payloads.

Of the 1296 bombers, 15 had exploded on launch, killing the pilots, 5 had refused to launch due to mechanical problems, and another 23 had aborted the run for various reasons. Fully 90% of the B-70s and RB-70s of the strategic bomber force were either already in the air or had managed to get in the air before the lackluster attack (that's 1160 bombers incoming).

300 miles from their targets, the Dynasoar suborbital bombers dived and fired, the rockets accelerating to Mach 30 before impacting their targets. Radars, airbases, SAM sites, [and any other AD thing other than AAA] all were targeted in a narrow stretch. But that narrow stretch would provide no resistance from the Valkyries when they came in, allowing them to drop their weapons as they pleased.

Specs? Not everyone has played those games.

The Athena AI system began processing the incomming "bogeys" as soon as they launched and within trillaseconds had already handed out commands to the automated defense systems. It used the airborn fighters to only extended its tracking range and numbers, and near all the incomming missles. There was no human interaction, the entire act being carried out by the advanced AI, statistically targeting the incomming "vipers", and giving each a target ID. Then, each weapons base was given a set of target IDs, and each interceptor a specific "target", or set of "targets", to take out.

This all took a mater of miliseconds, and soon, all the sky sweeper systems had leveled out interception courses, and vectored in on the "targets". Seconds later they "launched" the high velocity, mass explosive rounds, each containing a VHE plasma war head. The war heads were set to explode at a given altitude that would create a literal wall of plasma in front of the incoming targets, evaporating the weapons as they passed through what would equate to the center of a star. As the war heads raced out towards the missles, the on board computers gave the detonation order, and all the incoming "blips" that the Athena system saw disapeared, evaporated or crushed, their "explosions" contained in the plasma field.

As soon as the missle blips disapread, the Athena system, which had assigned a secondary command set to the "bombers", switched from its passive aircraft defense to an active set, and quickly calculated the appropriate launch point for the combined EMP/Anti-matter strike. The eight Mobius Missle Launch Stations opened their massive doors, and launched a barrage of EMP and Anti-Matter war head missles. The EMP missles moved first, streaking out across the sky, and, on interception ripped havoc on the "bombers" electrical systems. Those that survived soon disapeared as they neared the Imitoran coast line (its an Island), flying through the Anti-Matter explosion. There was no boom, no fireballs, nothing, just the simple representation of the base atoms that made up the metal and composites that made the aircraft splitting, the war heads rendering anything that existed non existant, speed, angle of attack, and velocity be damned. The very air around the bombers became on breathable as it turned into a vacume, the oxygen molucles splitting apart, and the atoms that made up those molocules splitting, the very matter that made up that designated airspace on some computer's grid ceasing to exist. For the breifist of times in the small area, truely nothing existed.

Three Imitoran fighters had gone down, being to close to the "explosions". While the Athena system began computing possible new angles of attack from the Civitans, it also dispersed attack commands for the sub orbital craft that hadn't been in the bomb run. KT996 satalites began targeting random aircraft, launching their HVAA missles, chassing down the aircraft. However, a scant number of missles were launched, enough to chase the Civitans away.

Three Imitoran Arrow class submarines came to their launch depth of 500 feet below surface water, and began taking launch commands from the AI system. Each had the ability to launch upwards on 55 MkXV Multi Plasma War Head Missles, which, while not as powerful as the Single War Head Mass Area Denial Weapons, they too could fill the sky with fire, bringing aircraft to a cindering death. They began to spread out, covering possible assualt zones, and waited for the next incomming attacks.

The Athena system was set to initial defense, meaning it would launch no counter attack on any military basses until ordered to. However it was given a set of "targets of opportunity", and within minutes, KT998 laser assault satalites had target city targets, mostly schools and hospitals, and a number of other non-combat targets such as TV and radio stations and "launched" laser attacks on a good number of the targets.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs shook his head at the penis-waving contest currently going on. We have three arrogants sons-of-bitches complaining about whose dick is bigger. And people wonder why the GPE doesn't do much -- it's too busy out-doing one another than worrying about what's on the outside.

"If I may say something, Your Majesty," DFM Maksim said, speaking to King Antonette but addressing the entire council. "While I do find President Gibbson's defence network intriguing, and may want to look into it further privately," he said, dropping the quite obvious I want to talk about it later hint to President Gibbson. "I do not believe having this system of Imitora's operating on a Burgundian scale a good decision.

"First off, this would imply that Burgundy's defence relies entirely on Imitora, and in his control, rather than the King of Burgundy, or the Arch-Chancellor or Emperor of Greater Prussia. This would imply that the Head of State -- currently President Gibbson -- of Imitora would weild more power in the region than the King, which is not how the Empire was designed.

"Second -- and I mean no disrespect, Mr. President -- but Imitora does not seem to be much of a team player, and has left the GPE hung out to dry before. I do not know if it is in Burgundy's or the GPE's best interests to allow a previous deserter to control the defence network of an entire Prussian Kingdom." And if anyone knows how to identify a Lone Wolf, it's Derscon Maksim thought. After all, we might as well be one.

"You are a rude son of a bitch, Gibbson!" yelled John out the door, "Walking out of here like that!" The guards shadowed him out, and would follow at a distance.

Hoot chuckled as he strolled out of the room. He ignored the gaurds following him, casually strolling out to the car park. He had no intention of starting anything, and, by judging the reaction of those in the room, he had accomplished his purpose. He had put the bid out, Imitora could easily handle the entirity of the regional defense, and do so with minimal costs. Tinechor had been up and running for near fifteen years, and had adapted and followed the technological developments of the nation.

He smiled sumgly at the gaurds, waving as the car pulled away to take him to the airport. He had succeded in letting the rest of the region know that the old Imitora was back. Full of itself? Yes. Assholeish? Most definately. But able to defeat any foe, and not care about who they pissed off in progressing as a nation? There was no question there. Within a few hours, Hoot was already back in Imitora, lounging on the rear deck of the Presidential Mansion, formally the Queen's Palace, sipping a beer, and watching the sun set.

OOC:...Im back...*evil laugh here* Oh, and Derscon. If Maskim...or hell, anyone else from anywhere else for that matter, wnats to have a more private meeting with Gibbson, just hit me up with a link.
