Cyberutopia

Cyberutopia, like most of the static population of the universe commonly referred to as NationStates, is prone to a flickering of spirit, progress, and creative thought. Despite the tenacity of these cornerstones of Cyberutopia and their utter refusal to be eradicated, they do require a form of creative defibrillation from time to time. The commonest form of reviving the progressive spirit being, of course, the Ambitious Undertaking. A great warship, a sprawling computer archive that pushes the boundaries of comprehensiveness, economic, social, and political revolution, material manifestations of evolution. Cyberutopia, having accomplished all such excursions, milestones, and triumphs, must stretch the collective mind of its evolvers to find a new source of creative energy. The Acheron , conqueror of the stars, was built and operational, but it was time for something new, something Cyberutopia couldn’t build alone. In this situation, most nations would turn to diplomacy, offering the fruit of mutual scientific progress.
But Cyberutopia had something to prove. They’d steal everything they needed. The nation’s scientists would prove they could create a masterpiece from acquired technology, and the nation’s spies, saboteurs and thieves would prove they could extract a nation’s top secrets from every vault, facility, and handcuffed briefcase they could.
