Just a few hours ago, the Kremlin has announced that the Czar and Czarina have had their first son, Xavier Alexeitovich, who will be the Tsarevich. The baby was born at 6 pounds two ounces and there were no complications during the birth. The Central Committee of the Protestant Council has called for religious services to honor the firstborn son of the Royal Family and to praise God for this great gift He has given.

REKJYAVICH-ANDROPOV, Derscon - News has been released by the Dersconi administration that the Tsar and Tsarina have had their first child today. The name of the new Tsarevich has been released as Xavier Alexeitovich. The news is rather joyous and Fedor, from the front, has already wished the son and his parents a perpetual life of sainthood. Those living closer to Fedala have ended the day with celebration for the welcomed birth, as most of the citezenry near the capital of the Second Empire is undoubtfully loyal to the GPE as well. Fedor, on behalf of his people, has sent a gift of a steel forged Macabee sword, engraved with the name of the son, and sparkled with a heron on the hilt, a Macabee sign of a master swordsman. It has also been rumoured that the cross and hilt is gilded with the purest gold possible, giving the entire blade a multi-million Reichmark value. Nevertheless, a gift between royalty is never for the money.

Head of the Church of the Broken Dawn, Pope Transguff I, has expressed his wishes to travel to Derscon to bless the child. Of course, Transguff I has made it obvious that his first intent is to make sure the administration of Derscon, and especially the Tsar, is ok with a blessing on their protestant child from a religious leader of the Macabee Church.

Nevertheless, this is without a doubt one of the happiest moments of the current Tsar's history and it foreshadows a future of much optimism for the Tsar's family in Derscon.

Shogun Kenshin was busy at his desk working (read: watching JibJab.com) when he took a glance at the front page of his paper. There, right under the article about "Metro-City Man Stops Pigeon from Dying", was the article. His good friend, the Czar of Derscon had had another kid. After a short remark that included "rabbits", he pulled out parchment and a caligraphy pen and began to write a letter:

Dearest Friends,

I am overjoyed to see such happy news happen to such deserving people. Words can not express how happy I am for the both of you. As is custom here when a member is born to a royal or samurai family, we present him with a set of swords. This is one of the most priceless made. We cannot even speak of the metal it is forged from. It's blade is solid and sparkling white, as is the rest of it. I have had our master swordsmith engrave Xavier's name in the side of it. Stress to him when he is of age the importance of this one, as it is usually only presented to members of the White Guard.

May he have a joyous childhood, may you develop many fond memories of raising him, and may you not kill yourself as he goes through his teenage years.
