Natalie holds up her hand. "I'm Natalie... Er... Natalie..." She stopped talking, trying to recall what her last name was. Her expression went from blank smile to absolute terror when she realized she couldn't remember her last name...

Help me little voice inside my head! What's my name? She mentally pleaded to the voice that had helped her so many times in these past few hours.

There was no response...

"I'm Liam... Er... Liam..." Liam called from the bed where he sat.

Jimmy turned to the boy and immediately surrounded him in an aura of psychic energy, lifting him off the bed. Child or not, Jimmy did not appreciate such rudeness and with ease directed Liam through the air before placing him down once again, right before the door.

"You were not invited inside young one..."

Looking down at the hologram communicator, Jimmy was not impressed. This old man did not change anything in the slightest, he was merely another one to be wary of, even if he was only a hologram at this point.

"My identity is my own to disclose, as is my ability."

Growing up as a thief, Jimmy was not very trusting in the slightest and these instincts had never left him, as was evident now. Keeping an eye on all three of the figures before him, Jimmy spoke once again.

"We don't appreciate being followed either."

"Hmph, fine!" Liam said as he began walking down the hall. Behind him the door ripped off its hinges and flew across the room into the wall. Without even noticing, Liam entered the stairwell.

"Ah. Very well. Though I must point out that you've already disclosed your ability." Alex answered as he noted boys' powers. "Needless to say, keep on your toes from here on out, all of you. Trust no one."

"That's kinda redundant in light of today." Jacen commented.

Alex smiled. "I know. But it doesn't hurt to have an elder speak the obligatory warning, eh?"

"Yes, Master." Jacen chuckled. "Um, will there be anything else?"

"Your ship." Grandpa said.

"I know. I have it tracked." Jacen answered. "Right now, it isn't going anywhere."

"Good. Now, that will be all for this moment. Update me on events every twelve hours or so." Alex said.

"I will. May the Force be with you."

Liam made his way into the stairwell and began ascending the stairs, one by one. Eventually, after a long climb, he made his way three stories to the roof. As he opened the door, a cool breeze hit him and sent a shiver down his small spine. That man wasn't very nice...

He lept up onto the top of the small structure that the door led out from. The sun had fallen behind the hills, ushing in the darkness of the night. The lights of all the houses and the buildings had been turned on and Liam could see them for miles. I don't like him...

He laid down on his back, his body, being as small as it was, only barely fit on the small structure without dangling his feet. He stared up at the infinite stars that he knew only too well. Someday...

"Wonder what the kid's problem was?" Yuri thought as he kinetically picked up and replaced the door.

Jacen sighed as he closed down the pager. "Jeez. My cousin was never this troublesome...I think. I'm going to get him."

He headed up the stairs to see the door ajar and a cool breeze wafting in. "Liam. What's up?"

"I don't like those guys," he replied in a sulking tone from on top of the structure. "They aren't nice..."

"Well, you have to understand that a lot of people are looking for Natalie, and they won't be nice when they find her." Jacen said. "They're only trying to protect her."

"Why are a lot of people looking for her?" he asked though he was still mad at Jim.

"From what I know, I think she escaped from a military base or something, a base for testing her powers." Jacen said. "The people who run the base, and probably their superior officers, will want to recapture her so as to not get embarrassed and/or fired by their failure to keep her inside."

"I was thinking we'd try and skip the country by taking my ship, although it's captured now." Jacen said. "After that, I was thinking of asking you guys if you want to join our Jedi Academy. Could be useful to learn a few things if nothing else."

"Heh." Jacen grabbed Liam aside. "First, we'd have to keep Natalie safe from those goons that will come to try and catch her. Then, we'll have to get my ship out of the place it's been taken to and fly it out of this country. Only then can we get to the Academy."

As they descened the stairs side by side, back to the third level, Liam proposed a question. "You said that there were people trying to hurt her, right?" he asked and without waiting for an answer he continued on, "How do you know that they aren't trying hurt her." He meant Yuri and Jimmy as indictated by his tone.

"Because they thought we were going to try to hurt her." Jacen pointed out. "I sensed their intentions. They may be harsh, but they meant well."

"Okay," Liam said as they reached the third floor again and walked down the hall. "I believe you," he said staring up at Jacen with a toothy smile.

Jacen locked eyes with Natalie so she could see the truth in them. "On my honor as a Knight of the Jedi Order, I will not let you come to harm." He held out his hand with a comforting smile. "Do you trust me?"

Natalie smiled, taking his hands. "I trust you." She turns to Yuri and Jimmy, "And I trust both of you! So, let's all be friends, yeah?"

Jacen whistled. "He's a pint-sized power-packer, that's for sure. He'll be quite the Jedi when he gets older."

"Huh?!" Liam said as he looked at Yuri's chest. "I didn't do that... I never touched you..."

"And this was about a quarter of what he tried to get me with. Teach him some control before he kills someone, it was also fairly dark green, while you are fairly light green." Yuri commented, pointing out the colour difference as it was interesting.

"Interesting. He was mad about you guys when that happened." Jacen said. To Liam. "When you use the Force, you don't need to touch someone to shove him around. It's called telekinesis. I could teach you how to control it...if you're willing to learn." Jacen almost laughed. Straight out of Master Elendil's lessons.

"Um... okay," Liam said to Jacen. He had become slightly embarassed by his unconscious actions and what he had done to Yuri.

"And I can't even speed up healing on myself." Yuri gripped as he lowered his shirt over the bruise.

Natalie blinked. Like Liam, she was oblivious to anything happening. She turned and looked at Yuri's bruised chest. Having never seen a bruise before, she didn't know what it was. "Umh... Why is it... Like that?" She takes a step closer, reaching out with one finger to try and touch it...

"Because he did something to cause it." Yuri said as to guestured to Liam. He then winced as she poked it. "It's a bit tender." He added

"Well, I'll leave you three for a bit to train the kid." Jacen said. "Come along to our room, Liam."

"That's okay, it's not that bad." He replied to reassure her.

Jacen noticed the remote and couldn't help but laugh. He adopted a Coruscanti (or British) accent. "Young sir, I do believe you are holding a remote control in your hand."

"Um.. okay," Liam said as he walked over to the night table and set the remote down. Instinctively, his hand moved to the lightsaber at his side and he grasped it.

He walked back over to the center of the room with Jacen, "Ready!"

"Now." Jacen instructed. "Call out to the remote with the Force. Imagine it in your hand."

That was something Liam had learned at the Academy less than two years ago. With the instructions still present at the front of his mind, Liam raised his right hand and bid the force to bring the remote to him.

The remote rose slowly into the air, until it was a foot of the nightstand, and then proceeded across the room into Liam's outstretched hand.

"That's good. The lessons come back to you." Jacen smiled. "Now, push the remote away from you, have it go back to the table."

"Okay," Liam responded. Easy enough... just the opposite of pulling it.

As he willed it, the remote flew across the room towards the nightstand. Though barely stopping in front of the lamp, it did and came to a rest.

A-Level of the secret base bustled with activity. Captain Nikoli Genoff, director of the facility, had since regained his calm, authoratative composure. Now he organized the scientist techies and his soldiers, leading them in a sorting of the incoming information on the potential wherabouts of the escaped convict. False information had to be sifted through in order to find the clues that would lead to their quarry. Video surveilance at a gas station had led them to the car the convict and her accomplices were using. The raid of the owner's house in North Fenris led to the knowledge that the car had been mysteriously stolen; the owner still insisted it 'was in the shop.' Satellites and other calls led them to find the car outside hotel in Iso City. Genoff had forwarded the information to Scan's contact. Now he was waiting to hear the results from his team there.

Deadloop had her orders and her location. A part of her hoped Hades and Cat and Wolf were in place, a part of her forgot who Hades, Cat and Wolf were. The goggles read a large amount of recently discharged energy and heat signatures still in the room. She spotted an expensive luxury sports car.
Deadloop headed back down the highway, when she was five hundred yards away, she U-turned, ignoring traffic. The engine of her motorcycle screeched as she pushed it for every ounce of speed, weaving through the light traffic without difficulty. The distance was quickly closed, the motorcylce clipped up the curb, and then rode up the sports car, using it as a ramp, smashing the windshield in the process. Deadloop skillfully jettisoned the bike off the car, and it sped through the air twoards the motel. Wheeeeeeeeee! As the hotel approached, Deadloop used the handle-bars to guide herself into a crouching position. Gaging the trajectory she leaped from the seat giving her the added height to reach the third floor. Her body and the bike simaltaneously crashed through windows at high velocity, the bike a level lower.

While shattering the glass and acrobatically tumbling into the room with the psychs, she drew a nasty looking short sword and small machine pistol. With a cry of, "Heeeeeeeeeeere's Johnny!!!" the merc opened fire, the rapid,yet quiet, tat-tat-tat of the silenced gun making for an odd contradiction of sound suppression after the thunderous crashing of glass.

"Huh!?" Liam said as he heard the loud noises of a motorcycle and then the smashing of glass. The disturbance was enought to break his concentration and the remote was crushed as it fell to the ground.

Liam ran to the door and peered out, "What was that!"

"Wha--?" Jacen suddenly grabbed Liam back. "Damn! We got trouble! Stay in here!"

His blue-green lightsaber was activated with a thrum and he headed down the hall...

Liam was dismayed - he wanted to help, but he didn't want to disobey Jacen. As Jacen ran down the hall he crept behind slowly, keeping a safe distance, and watched the action.

Yuri was just turning when he saw someone come crashing throught the window with guns, looking for all the world like somesort of James Bond reject. Acting instinctively, he tackled Natalie, throwing a telekinetic shield around them, while launching a wave of telepyronic flames at the person.

Rolling Natalie over so she was closer to the door, he pushed her hard to get her out of the room. He meant what he said that he'd defend her with his life. Getting to his feet, shield being battered by bullets which fell silently to the carpet, his eyes seeming to blaze he poured telepyronic flames at the person he could now see, throught a reddish haze, was a woman.

Outside Cat and Wolf were setting up a number of 'bug zappers' around the various exits from the hotel. They were designed to knock a person out who travelled close enought to them.

Natalie was tackled by Yuri. Although, he did mean well, she was very frail, and the tackle did hurt her. She curled in pain, panting as she held her side, a big bruise forming. Her body ache, all she could focus on was the pain. Her Vectors did not deploy, she could not defend herself or counter-attack.

Jacen headed into the room and ducked to the side as a hail of bullets from the crazy mercenary blasted its way to the other wall, scaring the patrons as they screamed and ran. "Dammit!"

"Hahahahahahahahaha!" Deadloop laughed crazily, even as she ducked the psychic flames, rolled and fired another round of bullets to keep the psychic heads down. "The girl's mine, if you hand her over to me, I may let you live!"

Then she found her bullets reflected as globs of plasma as Jacen used his lightsaber to block them. "What?"

"Take her and go, now!" Jacen yelled as he focused his powers into deflecting the bullets with Force wall or his lightsaber.

Jimmy watched as Liam and Jacen disappeared down the hallway once again. He certainly didn't like the rude little brat and was not ready to trust the one that called himself a Jedi Knight. He didn't have any real knowledge on Jedi, save that they possessed some psychic ability. Either way he didn't like the situation. Once the pair disappeared, Jimmy closed the door and sat upon a comfortable arm chair.

"I don't like this..."

Hades watched from his perch across the street as Deadloop did her thing. He was never one for such wild and uncontrollable stunts and preferred to have things planned out so they would go his way. Despite his difference of opinion, he had to admit she knew how to get the job done, even if she was insane.


Sniper rifle at the ready, Hades simply waited for any of the targets to appear. A man wielding a glowing weapon ran into the room but his movements were too fast to get a good shot on, Deadloop would have to take care of him. Hades would take care of anyone attempting to escape the hotel room.

Jimmy rolled backwards off his chair as Deadloop came blazing through the window, guns roaring and quoting that famous line from The Shining. For that brief instant Jimmy was too shocked to do anything, fortunately Yuri took swift action and protected Nat whilst also going on the offensive. Now it was his turn.

Ducking to the side of his chair, Jimmy stood with a hand outstretched as he unleashed a heavy wave of telekinetic power, forcing bullets back as it surged towards Deadloop. At that point Jacen reappeared, wielding his energy blade and distracting the gun wielding woman.

Considering the oppurtunity at hand, Jimmy communicated with Yuri and Nat.

"Let's get the hell out of here..."

Liam watched Yuri and Natalie dive out into the hallway as Jacen reached the door and started deflecting bullets. Not knowing what to do, Liam merely stood about twenty feet down the hall, looking at them.

"What is happening?" Liam asked to the crumpeled forms of Natalie and Yuri. He inched closer and was now within a few feet of them and the door. "What was the loud explosion..."

((OOC: I think, actually against solid slugs, like from a modern gun, a Lightsaber wouldn't deflect. It'd only destroy the bullet. It's not like an energy bolt, which can be redirected.))

Natalie paniced, hearing Jimmy's voice in her head. Although once she recognized it, she found herself willing again, no logner focusing on the pain. Yuri and Jimmy both filed out of the room while Jacen went into it. More gun shots rang out from the room. Natalie gritted her teeth, pushing herself up to her feet.

She rushed Jacen, stopping just behind him and deploying her Vectors, reaching for the woman with the gun. But, her 'arms' couln't reach! The women seemed to notice her arms, taking a step backwards. Growling, Natalie pushed past Jacen, taking the extra steps needed to reach the woman, one 'hand' touching her arm, with the intention of ripping it off...

The silenced sniper rifle made a sound barely audible to even the shooter, let alone Natalie. The bullet soared through the broken window and slammed into Natalie's shoulder. Instantly, her vectors retracted as the force of the shot knocked her back into the hallway.

Natalie was dumb-founded, staring at the blood. Then the pain came flooding to her, adrenaline only dulling it for a second. She curled up on the floor again, beginning to cry. "It hurts... It hurts..." She sobbed, putting her hand to her wound.

ooc: I agree... it would most likely just burn through them like it would to a door.

Liam had no idea what was going on as it was happening so quickly. There loud noises, people screaming, and 'bullets' flying. He saw natalie can shot in the shoulder and then blood came spewing out, Huh! Though he still didn't know how to react - Jacen had told him to stay back, but he felt like he couldn't. Subconsciouslly, as he stood there in the hallway confused and torn, Liam activated a force barrier in front of him.

Yuri saw Natalie fall in slow motion, and with horror in his heart. Rushing back into the room, he picked her up, cradling her in his arms as he ran back into the hallway as Jimmy and Jacen dealt with the person in the room.

Gently setting her down in the hall, he moved a hand over her wound to stem the blood flow, and asked, "Can I heal you." His voice throbbing with fear for her and worry.

OOC: Well, he's not just using his lightsaber, he's using TK in conjunction with it to keep from getting hit. Notice the Force wall part. Even so, a bullet is moving so fast that it's not likely to be fully vaporized with the momentary impact of a lightsaber, hence turning bullets into globs of molten metal.

Jacen used Natalie's distraction to send a powerful wave of telekinetic energy at Deadloop and smashed the woman out of the window. Then he saw Natalie get hit by a sniper shot. Damn! And the angle of the shot means... Another telekinetic wave lashed out towards the general location of the sniper as he backed out of the hotel room, lightsaber at the ready.

Natalie shook her head quickly. "Yes, please make it stop!" She was still crying, tears streaming down her face.

She looked around for Jimmy and Jacen. "Where are the others?" She asked, sniffling.

As soon as he heard her say he could heal her, Yuri began both removing the bullet and knitting the flesh. It was somewhat easier and more difficult to heal the damage the sniper's round had done. Easier as he'd grown attached to Natalie, and knew her better, while harder as the bullet had become lodged in bone.

Once he'd finished healing her shoulder, by which time both her shirt and his hand were stained with blood, and he began working on the bruise, he replied, "Jacen and Jimmy are dealing with the woman who attacked you, thought I don't know where Liam is."

Liam had recoiled in fear and disgust as he saw the blood coming out of Natalie and spilling onto Natalie. He had cloaked himself and his presence using the force and was curled in a ball, facing the other way, about fifty feet down the hallway.

Natalie nodded, throwing her arms around Yuri, crying into his shoulder. "I'm a good girl. Why do people keep trying to hurt me? I don't do bad things. I'm a good girl. Why? I don't wanna hurt..." She sobbed, clenching at him.

He rubbed her back as she cried into his shoulder, "I'm not sure, people do strange things out of fear, greed, love, well practically any emotion really." He replied comfortingly.

"We'll have to move quickly." Jacen said to the others, scanning the area warily. "There will be more. Where's Liam? Liam!"

"Here," Liam responded nervously from his cloaked position down the hall.

"You all right, kid?" Jacen asked as he walked to the boy.

"Umm mmmh," Liam replied in the affirmitive. Jacen's presence always made Liam feel more secure, so as Jacen approached, he uncloaked himself and stood in the hallway next to Jacen.

"Stay in what?" Liam asked confusedly to Jacen. "And why would someone want to come shoot at us or me?"

"You're manifesting powers in the Force again. That last one was Force Cloak. Close your eyes, think of yourself invisible to everyone." Jacen instructed, ignoring his next question.

Liam nodded. He closed his eyes tight and squinted his face, trying to become invisible as Jacen had said - but to no avail. Liam remained visible to everyone. "Am I invisible?" he asked naively after a few moments of trying to imagine himself invisible.

"Not yet." Jacen said. "Try again. You can do it. Let the Force flow through you."

Damn. It probably only works with the subconscious... Jacen thought. "Don't worry about it. You just need Academy training to make it effective."

"Ohh," Liam replied slightly disgruntled about his lack of ability. "Are we going now?" he asked.

"Don't know." Jacen turned to the others. "How's Natalie?"

Jimmy cursed as he saw Natalie go down from the sniper fire. There was more than one, great. Turning back to the woman within their room, Jimmy watched as Jacen quickly dealt with her, launching the attacker out the window.

Concentrating on the current problems, Jimmy exited the room and immediately took cover behind one of the support pilons. He would have to do something about the sniper.

Hades sensed it before he knew it was coming. An overwhelming urge of danger forced him to dive to the side, taking cover behind the cement portion of the building he was situated upon.

A dull thud resounded through the building as some of the cement fractured. The building had taken the full psychic force and still it was impressive. Thankful for his own powers, Hades resumed his position and fired off another round in an attempt to take down the young man next to the girl.

Erecting a psychic shield of his own, Jimmy spread the power slightly just in time to catch a single round headed for Yuri. The bullet hung in midair for a few moments before crashing to the ground, not a threat to anyone.

Irritated with this sniper, Jimmy focused completely as he moved out into the open, starring straight toward Hades. The sniper was only across the street and so Jimmy didn't have too much trouble making him out. Focusing on what needed to be done, Jimmy closed his eyes as his shield stopped another sniper round.

Searching deep into the compilation of energy and matter within himself and around him, Jimmy's mind focused upon the electrons. Power ran through the building, that would be the best source. Reaching out with his telekinetic powers, Jimmy took hold of the electrons and brought them forth to his hands. From Hades' view, arcs of electricity jumped out of the walls and formed glowing balls in Jimmy's hands.

Focused on his target, Jimmy's arms shot forward as he released the energy in two great arcs of lightning. The air sizzled as the energy raced towards Hades, death almost certain.

Cursing loudly upon seeing the orbs of power, Hades dived as he saw the arcs charging towards him, throwing his gun forward as he attempted to get out of the way. The energy and gun collided, for a single moment nothing happened until the energy attempt to escape the gun, pulling apart the gun on an atomic scale. A mild explosion resulted, sending Hades flying across the building and nothing remaining of the gun.

Panting heavily, Jimmy collapsed to his knees. Electrokinesis was always difficult to perform and really sucked the mental strength out of any who used it. Climbing back to unsteady feet, Jimmy called out to the others.

"Let's go..."

"Nice job." Jacen congratulated Jimmy then he got down to business with Natalie and the others.

Yuri was just finishing tending to Natalie's bruised side when Jimmy preformed his one man thunderstorm routine, 'Where are we going?" He asked worriedly.

"You have home?" Liam asked innocently as he heard the thunderous explosion across the way. "Why not go there?"

((OOC: Pardon the uber short post. Got things I need to do. Anyways, I'll be moving the RP onto Day 2 pretty soon. If this thing lasts until Day 7, I've got a nice surprise in store. :D))


Natalie nodded. They had to get out of here. She looked at Liam. "This was his home?"

Yuri was just finishing tending to Natalie's bruised side when Jimmy preformed his one man thunderstorm routine, 'Where are we going?" He asked worriedly.
"I'm thinking we should hit the roofs, as they'll likely to be trapping us from down there about now." Jacen said.

((OOC: Sorry to interupt, but I guess it is time to move the RP on to day 2.))


Lead by Jacen, the assmbled group make their way to the roof. Once there, they are greated by a varity of buildings. Off in the distance, sirens could be heard wailing, and coming ever closing.

It's too far of a jump to make it to the next building over, so the group move to try and find another way across. Natalie stands at the very edge, looking over. An idea comes to her. "Everyone! Come over here!" She shouts.

They all come, and Natalie deploys all of her Vectors, wrapping two around the group as a whole. "Trust me." She says, some reeling from the dreadful cold sensation where the arms touch them.

The other two Vectors slam into the roof, leaving a pair of hand prints in the roof. The impact sends the whole group sailing into the air. The angle of the impact sends them flying towards the building over.

Upon reaching the building, the pair of hands slam into the roof, leaving a large dent as well as absorbing the impact of the fall. She repeats this several times, eventually coming to an old and abandoned steel mill on a hill over-looking the city. Panting as she forces her way into the creeky building, Natalie releases everyone, and falls down, exhasted from such an extended use of her arms... "I... did my best." She says between breaths...

Day 2

The sun rises over the horizon, rays of light shining into the steel mill. As the gathered group go about their morning rituals, someone suggests something about one or more of them getting a job, and using the money to buy a place where they could all live, at least until Jacen's ship is found.

Natalie is still snoozing quietly in one little corner...

Using the wall for support as he moved towards the others, Jimmy continued to pant heavily as he listened. His mind raced with a million different thoughts as he contemplated their current predicament. Whoever had just atttacked them weren't military, they were far too wreckless to be military and so Jimmy could only assume bounty hunters.

Unfortunately the chances of there being more than two people chasing them were high and so Jimmy was quite wary about where to go.

"I agree, hit the rooftops and get away as fast as we can. I'm sure I can find us some place to hide out but we need to lose these guys first."

Day 1

The fear had left Liam as they reached the open rooftop of the motel. As Natalie siezed them with her vector, Liam felt a tad uncomfortable and nervous. However, as soon as she propelled them from rooftop to rooftop, Liam was invigorated and quite thrilled.

When they reached the abandoned steel mill, Liam fell asleep rather quickly as he was worn out by the days events.

Day 2

Liam woke late the next morning, well after the sun had rose. The rest of the group, for the most part, had already awaken and been talking with each other about to do what. Liam wandered into the main room and rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. He spoke one word, "Food?"

Jacen could have teleported, but he found this ride an interesting, if cold, one. Eventually, he jtele-jumped roofs along with the others and then they arrived at the steel mill. "You did well, Natalie." He said before dozing off in a meditation trance.

Jacen awoke when the sun rose, stretching his arms. He headed to the commons room where Liam was already there. "Well, there's the stuff from yesterday." Jacen said, pulling out some food from his backpack. "Kinda cold, though." He used the Force to warm up the hamburgers, though he wasn't as good as his cousin Taylor in that department.

Liam frowned as Jacen presented him with hamburgers. "For breakfast?" Liam replied to the offer - it was clear he didn't like lunch or dinner food for breakfast.

As they escaped from the battered hotel room and headed to the roof, Yuri hopped that the contract or whatever had had a time limit and it was past the time so they'd leave Natalie alone. As they hopped from building to building, care of Natalie's 'arms' he grinned to himself at the odd double sensation of warmth and cold that he was getting.

Once they'd arrived at the mill and Natalie collapsed, Yuri was there to catch her and ease her down gently so she could sleep.


"Why not hamburgers for breakfast?" Yuri asked as he stretched. While having nothing against having odd foods at odd times, he wasn't a breakfast person and declined the offered sandwich.

"Because... hamburgers are not for breakfast," Liam said as he still resented Yuri and Jimmy.

"Well, I don't see a shopping center anywhere near the mill." Jacen said, chowing down on a lukewarm burger. "How did you eat on the streets if you're so picky? It's still food, after all."

Liam remembered back to how he ate on the streets - sometimes he stole for it, sometimes he fought for it, sometimes he was able to buy it... but often he didn't eat. Shaking off the thought, Liam took the hamburger partially grateful and partially annoyed. His appetite was still astounding for a boy of his age, though it was most likely caused by his active life style and low nutrition.

Day One

They had escaped. It seems Deadloop had vastly underestimated those surrounding the target and even he hadn't expected the bloody lightning. He was certainly dealing with an insanely powerful psychic, this wasn't good at all.

With the fire fight over and dust settling after the recent explosion, Hades figured it would be best to leave before local authorities arrived. Activating his comm, Hades communicated with the others.

"I say we call it a day. We'll find them again and next time we'll go about things differently."

Not waiting for a response, Hades promptly gathered all his gear before quickly descending a fire escape ladder, dropping him a few feet away from his hired vehicle. Within minutes he was gone, not a sign remaining of him.

Still exhausted from his use of electrokinetics, Jimmy was happy to have Natalie shift them all across the rooftops using her own form of psychic abilities.

Soon enough they found themselves at an abandoned steel mill towards the outskirts of the city. Whilst not what he had in mind, Jimmy wouldn't complain and soon found a corner to fall asleep in.

Day Two

It was early morning but Hades found himself awake, pondering his task at hand. A laptop sat in front of him displaying all relevant data he had. There was nothing on the companions of the young girl save for a few security camera images. At least one was a psychic and another a Jedi. That didn't help a lot.

Opening up a direct link to the other mercenaries on this job, Hade began typing.

Hades: We need to approach this differently. By all appearances they're near to impossible to deal with in close combat and almost as difficult from a distance. We need to be quiet about this, the way I see it we can only get them if they're not expecting it and don't have their defences up. What do you guys think?

Jimmy woke suddenly with the image of an angry soldier fresh in his mind. Shaking it away, he rose and stretched stiff limbs. Now fully recovered from his actions of the previous day, food was on the agenda now.

The others seemed to be heating up hamburgers from some unknown source and whilst it didn't seem too appealing it was food nonetheless. He had eaten worse of course and so this would do for now.

Sitting down next to the others, Jimmy grabbed a hamburger and began devouring it.

"They will be back at some point..."

"Who?" Liam asked innocently as the previous night's events had already been lossed to his wandering mind.

Natalie was soon up as well. Walking up to the gathered group, she plops down and looks at the other. she doesn't say anything at first, just looks at each. It was her first morning in a long time, and she wasn't even aware of the proper morning time manners.

Her stomache grumbled. She was, of course, hungry. She eyes Jacen's hamburgers (That... So... Doesn't... Sound... Right. @_@) hungerly, somehow recognizing them as food.

Liam had a short attention span and as he saw Natalie enter the room he already forgot about the people Jimmy mentioned. Due to his appetite, Liam was still hungry and so he got up to get a burger from the box Jacen was keeping them in. When he got there he noticed there was only one left and without hesitation he picked it up and began proceeding back to his seat on the ground. That is until he heard Natalie's stomach rumble and sensed her eyes following the burger. He got up from his seat just before he was about to eat the hamburger; walking over next to Natalie he handed her the burger, "Here..."

Natalie nodded, accepting the hamburger. "Thank you." She says. She's about to eat, when she remember Liam. For some reason, she felt like he was a kid brother to her.

smiling, she holds out the hamburger so that the bottom faced Liam. "Watch this." She tells him as one of her Vectors deploy. The hamburger twitched only slightly as her invisible 'hand' whooshed through it, only a dropping of ketchup to indicate anything had happened. She pulls the hamburger, showing Liam that it had been perfectly sliced in two down the center. She hugs him, then gives him one half, smiling. "There, now we can both eat!"

"Hehe," Liam giggled as she held the burger in front of them and then in two pieces, "Neat trick..."

He gratefully took half the burger that Natalie handed to him. "Watch this!" he said as he held the burger in front of him. He released his hands from it and it levitated in midair before slowly approaching his mouth. It stopped right at his mouth and everytime he took a bite it moved into position for the next bite. Unfortunately, Liam had forgotten about the ketchup on the burger which spilled out the back end and landed on his shirt.

Natalie giggles, and says, "Okay, lemme try!" One of her invisible 'arms' comes out from her back, and takes hold of the hamburger. She releases it from her real hands, so it floats in the air. Concentrating, she's able to guide the hamburger towards her mouth, eating it using only her powers.

Of course, she seems to suffer the same fate as Liam, ketchup spilling to her sweat pants and shirt.

"Hey, you can do it to!" Liam announces in surprisement as Natalie finishes off the burger. "Are you a jedi too?" he asks innocently as he stifles his laughter at the ketchup Natalie got on her shirt.

Natalie blinks quickly a thought coming to her. "I... I dunno. What's a Jedi?" She asked Liam. She seemed really concerned about it. Anything about her past right now would be helpful.

"Umm..." Liam stammered as he struggled to find the words that would explain it. "Well... Jacen is a Jedi Knight and he said that I could be Jedi Knight some day if I tried hard enough. I think it has something to do with the Force, a Lightsaber, and protecting innocents." He pondered for a moment before opening his mouth - out came the first words he could think of:

"There is no emotion; there is peace.
There is no ignorance; there is knowledge.
There is no passion; there is serenity.
There is no chaos; there is harmony.
There is no death; there is the Force."

Natalie is utterly speechless. "Wow..." Is all she can muster.

"Odd pledge, but unique and interesting." Yuri commented as he heard Liam speak.

"Yeah." Jacen nodded. He still gets a chill whenever that's spoken. "So guys. What do you propose we do next?"

"Home?" Liam suggested naively.

After devouring his burger, Jimmy watched the others for a moment. He wasn't concerned with the kid, save to watch out for his uncontrollable temper. Perhaps a hundred years ago he would have had the patience for Liam, back when he actually enjoyed the company of a child not much older than Liam, one of his training partners. Unfortunately that boy was dead now and Jimmy's tolerance for children had collapsed.

Jacen had proved that he was willing to defend them, that didn't mean his motives were to their benefit though. He would keep an eye on the Jedi.

"I don't have a safe house in this country..."

"And I came here to see about getting admission to a university and scholarship." Yuri added, "So I don't have a home at present."

"Then why do we stay here?" Liam asked. It seemed obvious to him though he didn't know it wouldn't be so easy, "Why can't we just leave?"

"Remember that crazy lady shooting up the hotel to get us? There'll be more like her." Jacen said. "In any case, it won't be easy to get out of this country. I first want to think about getting to my ship. If we can't get there, we'll have to skip the country by sea." Jacen smiled. And I know just how to do it.

"Well, lets go then..." Liam said anxiously. He didn't much care for there current location and would much rather be traveling in a spaceship thatn eating day-old hamburgers.

Despite the events of yesterday, Jimmy was still quite wary of this Jedi and the little brat he dragged along with him. It certainly wasn't in Jimmy's interests to be yanked off the planet and he doubted Nat would wish to be taken away just like that. He imagined she wanted some answers regarding her current predicament, she may even have family back home, once she worked out where exactly that was.

Opening a mental link to Yuri and Nat, Jimmy spoke.

"I don't trust this guy. Just going with him to some distant star system does not sound like a good idea to me. It probably would be best to get out of this nation but leaving the planet is too extreme."

Sitting silently, Jimmy awaited a response.
