Today, Field Marshal Sir arthur Wellesley, commander-in-chief of the Dersconi First Imperial Army Corps, announced that he has appointed Sabrina Schneeberger the first woman to ever obtain the rank of colonel in the history of Derscon.
"Today is a great day for equal gender rights," says the "Women's Rights Now" organization. "For once, the leaders of our nation have realized that a women can be just as affective a commander as men."
Some conservative think-tank groups, such as the "Culture and Heritage Foundation," disagree.
"The appointment of [Sabrina] as a colonel could possibly lead to a breaking of the three thousand year old traditions of the roles of society, which could lead to the entire collapse of the monarchy itself."
In a poll taken by RBN, fifty-three percent of Dersconis think the appointment, as long as she was a sound commander, was a good idea. Forty percent believe it was a bad idea, while the rest didn't particularly care.
