Yes, it's sci-fi time once again!

Anyone can join this RP; it is totally open. Forever. Until it dies. Yes. Anyway, it's sci-fi. My idea is that the whole human population of the galaxy will be hit by an uncurable plauge that will do damage similar to the Black Plauge of medival Europe. This is taking place in the far future(100-500 years from now) and humans are all lumped into a great empire called the Galactic Confederation(GC).

Space aliens are welcome, but should not overstay they're welcome; I'm going by a ten-race rule. This means that if ten spieces have already been come up with for this story, either join them or be a regular human. Otherwise I've found that a lot of people will just give their character scales and say,"Look, he's unuiqe!"

OOC: I'm also wondering much the same thing, since Argonians are 'aliens' i.e. non-human bipedal reptiles, and while I'm not opposed to playing a human, I like to stay in-character.

Space travel is very common; that is how the plauge is going to be spread in the first place. Also, here is a character template:

Background:
A former Corporal in the 23rd Space Marine Division, Moras has seen some action on the fringes of space before retiring due to a weapons-related shoulder injury after a ten-year tour against some of the pirate groups that plague the region & frequently attempt to make easy prey of the shipping vessels that frequent the area. Kettic still retains some of the knowledge from his service time, as well as his Kerrich Arms Corporation PSV, his service pistol. He nows works as a dockworker unloading cargo from the ships he once protected. While he misses his old occupation, he's glad the danger and constant stress are gone. Moras has a human wife, Kathleen Turner Moras. Mrs. Moras works as a secretary in the docking office building next to the spaceport.

The Modern Argonian:
The Argonians are a race of bipedal lizards, usually standing around six feet and three inches tall, on an average sampling of males ages 20-80. Argonians are covered in scales, from angular head to three-toed reptillian feet. Their appearance hints at aquatic origins, including a three-foot-long tail and a pair of fin-like ears angling back across their skulls. (Think standing an anole lizard up on its hind legs and adding the ears. Pics can also be found on any affiliated Morrowind website.) Living around 200 years on average, old age doesn't really take effect until around age 170. Blessed with acute olfactory senses, they are able to detect prey (and explosives in this modern age) fairly acutely. With their canine-like teeth and short claws, Argonians are somewhat predisposed to the more brutal aspects of warfare, but the more modern members of the race tend to rely more on specialized high-tech projectile weapons for combat.

Her body is scared from battles all throughout her life. She has one synthetic eye that has motion tracking capabilities. She has a deep scar running from the top of her face down to her neck, crossing through her synthetic eye. Depending on the situation depends on what she is wearing. For casual interactions she will wear her utility trousers coupled with combat boots, and various amounts of weaponry. For light combat she wears her full utility uniform and varying amounts of weaponry. For heavy battle she will don one of NoF's battlesuits.

Biography:

Born to a nation of Mercenaries she was a gentically modified child, and was put through the nations school system since before she could remember. Her parents agreed to let the Nofian scientists genetically modify her before she was born. After hundreds of years of honing the technique they rebuilt her body structure so she could heal open wounds at a much higher rate than a normal person. They also made her senses of scent and hearing at a higher level as well. She commenced to graduate in the top 50% of her class (those who aren't in the top 50% die) and went to the field at the age of 12. At the age of sixteen the soldiers under her command were bested, and she was left to take out seventeen men with only herself, her rifle, and a knife. She took out nine by herself, and fought evenly when three of them took her on at once in hand to hand. Finally they bested her when a sword hit her in the face, splitting down and into her skull. They left her for dead after she passed out. Several hours later she came to, missing her eye, and laying in the middle of a battlefield. She gathered her bearings and called for evac.

It will start out small. One or two cases of a mysterious disese. It will grow though, and different people will react differently. It never really occured to me to have a quarantine, but I suppose there could be one. I have come up with several possible reactions to the Scourge, including:

-Quarantine

-Someone claiming to be some sort of messiah able to cure the disese(false) who creates a cult revolving around himself.

-A dissedent planet taking opprotunity of the Galactic Confederation's weakened state to secede.

-A doctor becoming sleep-deprived from overwork.

-Androids trying to find a purpose after the death of their masters.

And yes, androids are possible characters. My advice on that though, is to keep it realistic: people do not build androids just for the sake of having androids-they have jobs. Though of course that job might be lost if the machine's master is killed by the Black Scourge. It would be interesting to see the effects of wide-spread depopulation on the galaxy's android community.

Shaw is going to first diagnose the Black Scourge and spend all day and all night for a while trying to find a cure. He becomes the most obsessive workaholic ever.

NAME: Michelangelo LK-9 Davince
AGE: 3/30 years. He/it is three years out of the factory and human part was thirty years of age at time of transfere.
RACE: Cyborg/Android. Is machine, with human brain/CNS.
GENDER: Androgenous/Male

HISTORY: A condemed prisoner sentenced to death, he was offered a chance to participate in a very risky and exploratory procedure inwhich a human brain and CNS would be inplanted into a robotic shell. As his strength, durabilitity, and speed very increased, as well as the ability to endure in far more hostile conditions than humans could, the shell had certain safegaurds hardwired in. These included the inability to harn humans, irregardless of reason and the obligation to follow orders given from rightfully appointed officials as well as tracking circutry installed. As it was, since he was technically goverment property, he was given work to do to test his abilities and effectiveness.

As it stands he's been working, in secret of course, on overriding and removing the hindering programs.

I like the picture of Theo's character. Why is he on that dock, though? Is he a Yacht-Bot?:p

Also, how is the Black Scourge passed? Air-borne/skin contact, right? Would a gas-mask protect against contracting the illness? What are some measures containment teams should use to protect themselves?

APPEARENCE: A tall, slender figure standing approxomately six feet three, but thin enough to give the impression of being fragile. Largely humanoid in appearance, with violet full-iris eyes (i.e. no whites or pupils visible), hair is a dark metallic violet, skin is a pale metallic colour tinted in violet (typical trait of the House of Violet, as red is for those of Rosean descent, pale blue for Snowdrop House etc.). Normally garbed in an H-Rig, but this is typically covered by layered ceremonial robes displaying the Violet symbol.
Glowing tattoos visible on cheeks, forehead, hands and wrists that appear to have mystical or religious significance.

The Onarrím:

Relatively little is known of the Onarrím, although they are known to exist primarily in a plane they refer to as the True Astra (or True Space), in which only they, or beings like them, may exist. The sole exception to this is Onarr Prime, their first colonised world from the Material that has been brought into the True Astra. Powerful shielding protects it from the effects of the True Astra, but the Onarrím appear unwilling to extend this protection to any other items.

The Onarrím figure is assumed to be based upon human or elfin appearance, as the Onarrím themselves do not, in the True Astra, possess anything relating to physical form. Their own natures - strongly linked to their House - seems to have a direct effect upon the shape they take, affecting skin, eye and hair colour in addition to other factors. For example, those of the House of Rose typically possess dark reddish-metallic hair, red-tinted skin and bright red eyes and although other colours are known to appear the Red branch of the House appears to be the most prominant. Similarly, the House of Orchid possesses numerous different colour shifts.

The Onarrím typically possess two ages - a True Age and a Material Age. Their True Age relates directly to the length of time that they have existed for, and their Material Age to the period in which they have been in our own universe. As the True Astra operates on an entirely different level to the Material Astra the Material Age can safely be assumed to be the equivilent age of a normal person, although an Onarrím may well carry across contacts and memory.

The Onarrím may use the True Astra to manipulate things in the Material to a limited extent, something often described as "magic". However, such activities are frowned upon by both of Onarr's main governing bodies - the Parliament of Flowers and the Conclave of Blooms. Excessive use can also permanently damage the Onarrím manipulating the True Astra.

Purpose:

With a relatively young Material Age, amongst the Onarrím, Navari naj'Violet is exploring the Material Astra at the time of the Black Scourge. Being a primarily "Magickal" being there is little chance of him catching the disease, but natural curiosity combined with compassion result in his entanglement. That, and missing his flight out of whichever system he finds himself in.

Since Krowemoh has been, and always will be, a separate and very individual entity within it's own star system from away from the nearest 'civilized' star system, most of my first posts will be kinda story based. That is, it will just be me, posting about the Krowemohian's reactions, until they enter into the Sol System, which is where I assume the RP will mostly take place?

An eight member team consisting of highly trained Combat Haz-Mat suited (Think "Area 51" for the Xbox) nekos, The sole reason C.A.T.S. (Containment And Termination Squad) was created was to contain and eradicate the Black Scourge on Krowemohian soil. There were five CATS teams, Alpha through Echo, but over time, only Alpha and Beta teams remain. Alpha is the more skilled of the two teams, and is lead by a very caring and charismatic leader.

She's the least likely to handle emotional stress well, and most likely to break first during an interrogation. The only real reason she has lasted this long in the C.A.T.S. is because of Captain Tabris' leadership skills.

Personality: Due to Sia's size, she is the unofficial 'kid sister' of the team, even though Nerine is a few months younger then she is. Personality: Although deadly serious on the job, when off-duty, Boku is fun loving and happy-go-lucky. He is the first to suggest after mission parties, and usually the first to start drinking at such parties. He rarely takes life seriously outside of work, and acts more like a kid then a hardened bomb expert when not on a mission. This behavior is what keeps him at a low rank.

Aside from Nerine, Kaji is the second most likely to break if interrogated.

The Black Scourge is passed like a cold.

As for the location, the bulk of it I plan to take place in the Ankheton System. One planet there, for various economic reasons, wants to break away from the Galactic Confederation. That planet will be called Ankheton III(to lazy to think of a better name; it's the third planet in the Ankheton System) Rebels will try to take advantage of the GC's weakened state to secede.

Some of it could take place in the Sol System, however, because we can assume that the Ankhetonese would ask nicley first. Someone will go there because Earth (of course) is the capital world of the GC.

Of course, since many of your characters are from other planets, feel free to post them there. Still, they should gather on Ankheton III, otherwise they won't be able to interact very well, now would they?

Would i be able to have a jedi/sith like character? I been wanting to have a Dooku-like Character for a while (He was my fav character from Star Wars) Maybe a much younger version of Dooku? lol if not, are light sabers and/or force allowed?

Background: Extremely wealthy and son of a planetary governor of a distant planet. He was well trained in many sword arts and is considered a master of swords to many. He's also very acrobatic, even at his current age. He is very strong as well.
He's also an amazing shot with guns. He tends to get greedy, egotistical and sometimes even called evil but he can follow orders if needed (almost rarely so far). Just remember that Star Wars takes place "a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away." This takes place in the 24th century Milky Way, so we must assume that Delos has been in a spaceship(in cryogenic stasis?) for several thousand years now. If you can find some way to have that make sense, you're in.

although since it is your RP you dont' really have to inform us of every new character you create, I maen you do control the city, and can take control of any of it's citizens at any given time.

Looks like I jsut made it alot worse.

Well, I put it at minor outbreak, with the sickness starting to spread to other planets via ships taking the Gate Generator(Think of a space station sized StarGate), including Earth and Krowemoh. About page two or three, I'll introduce my characters. Until then, I'll pitch in flavor with NPCs here or there.
