The Nature of this Thread
Most, if not all, of the posts after this one should be completely in character; this post is merely explanatory, and I will get an out of character thread up if this kicks off. So, with that said, everything, more or less, should be role played, including the selling of drivers, the introduction of teams, et cetera. As for an introduction, the grand prix series role play was jointly developed by Casari and myself. Casari should be credited with all scorination and I should be credited with little more than the organization of the idea. Nonetheless, into the explenation!
Teams and Drivers
In this particular case a team is represented by a car. Sometimes a car company, like Toyota in real life, designs the engine and the chassis, sometimes, like McLaren-Mercedes, two different companies team up to make the engine and chassis respectively. A player on NationStates who wants their team to be represented can do either; it would be interesting to see merging companies within the context of completing a car, but I know not everyone is going to be interested in doing that. Regardless, I should note that a car does not mean drivers, and this turns out to be one of the few very important points of this grand prix, and one of the things I think will give this series a very fun twist. You have to hire your drivers!
In other words, some players will introduce cars, some will introduce drivers. Hopefully, we have an equal proportion of drivers to cars introduced; nonetheless, if your a car without drivers you can consider yourself still out of the prix for the first season, if your a driver without a car the same goes. A single team can have two drivers if in the top five of the last season, or three drivers if below the top five in the last season; for the first season all teams can have three drivers because there is no listing for now.
For our purposes we've decided to allow an unlimited amount of teams participate, unless it gets out of hand, in which case we'll begin feeder series like F-2 and F-3. The number of drivers, of course, varies directly with the number of teams, so if there are ten teams there will be (5*3)+(5*2) = twenty-five drivers. Nonetheless, again, that doesn't mean there will always be twenty-five drivers on the market; this role play also requires some economics savvy! It is to say, there may be forty drivers on the market - competition! That should give yet another twist to this RP.
For those people who are more worried about getting first than role playing, well neither a team or a driver will give you more fame. So, for everyone, don't be inclined to go for one or the other - it would be best if you saw which one was more perdinent at the time of your introduction. For example, if we're down on the number of drivers please introduce a driver. There will be two rankings one for constructors [teams] and one for drivers.
Rules and Regulations
Qualifying: Qualifying will done on the same track as the actual race track in a single lap run, done individually by cars. The first car to leave will be the last car to make it to the finish in the last race, and so the the first place car in the last race would go last. Should your engine break in the qualifying lap and you're forced to replace it you're car will lose ten spots to its respective time - meaning, if you made time for 4th you will leave 14th. Qualifications are based on time, not fuel load like they're planning to do after this year in real life.
Tires: All tire companies are allowed. I don't plan to make it so complex as to add tires into the market unless we really want to in the future to make it more interesting. For now I think drivers and cars are scary enough.
Aerodynamics: The airfoils are following post-2005 guidelines. The airfoil on the cars are two individual airfoils over each rear tire; this reduces the ability of the car to stick to the pavement, but it also reduced turbulence which had previously disallowed other cars from getting close or passing, so this should increase the amount of passing done.

We're looking for more track hosters, neutral or with teams, doesn't matter. It would be done just like the sale and hiring of drivers and teams. You offer us to host the track [no picture needed], give us general information on it, try to appeal to our senses, and the 'Formula 1 Association', a.k.a. Casari and I for now will make the ultimate decision between ourselfs and get back to you, also in character. For now we're looking for a total of eight tracks. Thank you.
Oh yea, one more rule: have fun!

Whoo, Casari here.
When you start a team, you'll have 9 points to divide between three aspects of the car. Aerodynamics, Cornering, and Reliability. Simply put:
Aerodynamics makes you go fast on straights.
Cornering makes you go fast through corners.
Reliability stops the car from exploding.
You can give a max of Five to each. So if you can have 5 for Aero and Corner, but the car isn't that likely to make it through the race. Or you can have a nice balance of each.
A Driver, as they win, will accumulate bonuses and become better.
And worse comes to worse, don't be afraid to pick up drivers from your own country.

Auburn enters F-1 Grand Prix
Auburn has anounced plans to to enter the new F-1 series. Auburn International, a subsidary of REO Ranger, held a press confrence informing that they were producting a car to enter the new Formula One Series. This entry is part of the Auburn revitalization plan being taken by REO since its acquistion of the storied car manufacturer. Spun off upon the creation of Olympic Motors a few years ago, Auburn has gone from a faded line of clunky sedans to a full line of attractive, well built vehicles.
It has become intresting that REO, a long time champion of cross-country races, has started its subsidary down other racing avenues. Most recently, Auburn entered into a road race, the Coventry Classic of Ilek-Vaad. Some speculated this was more of a Klatchian attempt to win Vaadian good will. Yet it would seem that a first time third place finish, gained Auburn attention to its new line back home. Now it appears Auburn has decided that racing is a far more effective advertising tool.
The unveiled car, based on the 935 sports car, is typical of most products associated with REO Ranger in that its handling is excellent. Unlike most REO products, which appear to be built to shake off an accident with a tank, the new Auburn Formula One car has a body of light carbon epoxy. Although this has allowed for greater areodyanics and increased speed, it has decreased the survivablity of the car in an accident on the racetrack.

The Islander News Report
A group of interested sportsmen in the Furniture Restoration sector, working closely with the Government, has begun plans to develop a World Class Motorsports facility in the hopes of attracting the top series to Deer Wielding Chopstix. The track is planned for the rolling hills in the Southwest, near the hugely popular tourist destination of Yerba.
"I've seen the proposed layout, and I must say, this puts Tilke's designs to shame," reports former Grand Prix Champion Markku Tuuomala. "A lap at this circuit can only be described as a driver's dream. There are elevation changes, long sweeping corners, and wickedly fast straights. I hope that the new GP Geezer series visits here soon, perhaps as a support series for Formula One!"
Deer Wielding Chopstix plans to finish the circuit soon, with testing to begin in plenty of time to host any round of the Formula 1 Association's schedule. It is expected that the scenic track, with its signature "La Drama" corner, will become a highlight of the season, with easy access to the cosmopolitan city of Yerba, top-notch pit and paddock facilities, and multiple chances for spectators to interact with their pilot heroes.

19-11-2005, 23:59
Olav Nett, Spruitland’s Minister of Sports, has sent an urgent plea to all established and establishing Formula 1 teams, requesting them to consider his son Luigi as one of their drivers. The Minister is reportedly at wits’ end and is desperate to get his son as far away from Spruitland as possible, a decision fully supported by his personal physician.
Luigi (20) does not have any actual racing experience, not officially at least, but his ‘unofficial’ record is quite impressive. The young man acquired no less than 137 pinkslips in the last two years by competing in various street races across the nation. Despite this apparent success, Luigi Nett is not a wealthy man, since his racing adventures also won him a record-breaking 341 speeding tickets and a total damage bill in excess of 20 million US dollars.
Now penniless and – by court order – without a car, Luigi has moved in with his father and spends roughly 18 hours each day engaged in online Need 4 Speed tournaments, earning a few bucks left and right in an attempt to repay his debts.
“I want him out of the house! Please,” the Minister of Sports begs, “someone, hire him, sooner rather than later! The noise is driving me insane! At least on a race track he’ll crash into tires instead of designer front lawns or recently renovated historical buildings! And on tracks with very few turns he’ll do great, I promise!”

GEM, AE agree to parntership for F1GP
Announce new team, livery, and driver search
GEM and Applied Engineering, two of the top automotive and general mechanics corporations in the Candrian Empire, have announced their intent to field a Formula 1 team, with the blessing of the federal government as a tool to boost tourism to the Candrian Empire. GEM and AE, traditionally fierce competitors in programs such as the Dominion Prototype Series, have said that a partnership "increases the potential of the Dominion to achieve dominance and glory in this grand sport," Gladen Micheals said in a press confrence.
The livery, a mix of red, white, yellow, and black (and seen in the OCC thread), is used under contract with the CETB in an effort to promote international tourism to the Dominion.
No drivers have been named, however James KeFlinger has expressed interest in tranferring from the DPS to F1.
James KeFlinger to drive for TCS
3 Time DPS Champion to drive in F1
As expected, James KeFlinger will be a driver for Twin Crescent Racing, bolstering the infant team's credibility on the racing circuit. KeFlinger has a tendency to baby cars until they need to be pushed to win, a tactic that has worked well in the fast paced DPS and will translate well into Formula 1. No other driver has officially been announced, but the short list is said to include Casari's Scott LeCroix, Xavier Delson Krytenia's Michael Albinizi, as well as homegrowns meant for another F1 series, Steven Sloan, John Leeds, and Victor Jueres.
Scott LeCroix named 2nd TCS Driver
GEM and AE name Casarian to back up KeFlinger
Twin Crescent Racing announces that Scott LeCroix has been signed to be the second driver on the Formula 1 team. Steven Sloan has been signed as test driver. AE has not named a successor to James KeFlinger's seat in the DPS, and may bump up a test driver.
John Leeds has announced the nullification of his contract with the now-defunct GMD Formula 1 Racing, and is now an availible driver. Victor Jueres will return to his position at internal testing in GEM, also announcing the nullification of his contract in GMD F1R.

NEW CAR UNVEILED
ATR's newest F1 challenger, the A3, was unveiled at the team's official season launch today. The event, at the historic Guildhall in Avidia, drew a lot of press attention. ATR are the second F1GP team to release their new car, after Candrian team Twin Crescent released theirs a few days ago. ATR have also announced their first three sponsors as Ibis Computer Networking, the Aztap Tobacco Corporation (under the Clavi brand name), and fuel suppliers Ostoil.
NETT TO BE "MAN FRIDAY"?
Spruit driver Luigi Nett has been approached by ATR as their third driver. Nett, should he accept the offer, would be the team's main test driver, as well as driving in Friday practice on race weekends.

Nett enters Krytenia with a bang
The arrival in Avidia of Luigi Nett, soon to be Krytenia-based Aston-Tickford Racing’s new test driver, did not go by unnoticed. Nett (20, Spruitlander) jumped on a plane to Krytenia, responding to the first job offer that came his way, and was slightly too eager to get behind the wheel.
The young car enthusiast stopped a taxi at the airport and apparently decided he could do without the driver, taking off at high speed. His ride lasted approximately 1.7 km, clipping six parked vehicles and a phone booth along the way, before crashing into a barber shop. Miraculously, none of the customers got injured.
Nett was detained by the Avidia police and was overheard saying that he was “practicing for a job interview.” He was released later that day. William “Bill” Beardsley, owner of the thoroughly demolished taxi, claims he was taken completely by surprise while he was putting Nett’s luggage in the trunk.
“I’m a keep that [censored]’s suitcase,” Beardsley says. “And I’m a sue those racing company chaps as well. That was my livelihood!”
Whether the event will have any influence on the ATR’s decision to finalize Nett’s contract is as yet unknown.

Auburn announces signing bonus
Auburn International has become quite miffed with the lack of apparent drivers for F1 teams. With the recent signing of almost half the seasoned "free agent" drivers, the company has decided to up the stakes.
"Auburn International is offering a signing bonus of 500,000 Kr (750,000 USD) for all seasoned F1 drivers. This will be above the normal race salary that we have traditionally offered."
Auburn of course is looking for someone a bit more cautious with the current light frame of their car. Obviously this has them worried about hiring an unsutiable canidate from some of the non-proffessional drivers currently looking for postions.

Tango et Kartuma Looking to Hire Oscar Phillips
Tango et Kartuma, still a driverless team, has put in an offer for Oscar Phillips that many think is one that the Liverpool Englander/Starblaydi can't refuse. Although Tango et Kartuma does need a second driver, even with the aquisition of Oscar Phillips, at least they have a driver. It has not been specified whether Phillips would be the lead pilot or the secondary pilot; it's expected that the decision will be made by Tango et Kartuma over trial runs in their own company tracks. Nonetheless, it should offer itself an excellent opportunity for Phillips in terms of international reknown. There have been rumours that Tango et Kartuma will make his partner the Cesari free pilot, but those are still rumours.
T&K has foward an opening contract worth 36 million for two years, an excellent salary for a pilot who has no prior experience with Formula 1. T&K manager, Gerhard Liverien, has made clear that if Phillips proves himself he will be rehired and his wage would be increased. Liverien still awaits Phillips' reply.
In other news, Tango et Kartuma is finishing their long awaited car design, going through periodic checks to make sure all problems are ironed out before the first GP of the season.

Mac, just out of curiousity, do you happen to be interested in (after this racing event) to start a street racing competition, like NASCAR but then taking it to the city streets with customized cars, perhaps with some kind of theme?
Apologies for OOC post.

DPS Contracts to begin enforcement
Fewer crossovers expected
DPS owners have begun to enforce their contract agreements with drivers, restricting any other drivers from the series from attempting to leave to join the F1GP series. Drivers who already entered or are currently looking for seats cannot be called back, but no new drivers are expected to leave without a legal battle unless their contract allows it.
OCC - I'm burnt on thinking of new driver names...
Leeds yet to secure contract
Former GMD F1R driver John Leeds has yet to secure an F1GP seat contract, despite having been on the market for several days after nullifying his old contract with the team that no longer races. The 24 year old speed demon and son of the defense minister and war hero General Leeds was making 12 million under contract with GMD, but after the NSF1 series dissolved, he joined F1GP as a free driver.

Retired DPS Legend Maurice Grene Looks for F1GP Seat
Maurice Grene, local racing legend and 9 time DPS champion during his 13 year tenure, has announced the end of his retirement and the persuit of a seat in F1GP. Grene, 45, has aquired a multitude of racing championships. He has amassed a career total of 104 races, second highest all time in the Dominion Prototype Series behind the late Maichelle Fernandez.
"I want to drive again. Like any athlete, once you stop, you wish you didn't. I can still drive, I can still do it well. I've maintained my shape since retirement, and I'm sure I can still fit in a car."
He has not released a preffered contract amount, although word is that he won't ask for a lot.
Throughout 13 years of DPS racing, Grene missed a grand total of 14 races, starting in 142 races, and never placing lower than 5th all time when completing a race.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Rockbridge Automotive Race Applications Develops Vehicle For Aust Team
Today, Rockbridge Automotive Race Applications announced the completion of development and testing their new RF-12-001, a car that promises to be the penultimate of road racing Formula 1 vehicles. Their newest development pushes the bounds of racing technology in means of aerodynamics, powerplant, handling, and breaking. RARA has been known among the Imitoran circuits as producing the winningest cars in all Imitora Automotive competitions, and is proud to produce a car for the Aust racing team.
The RF-12’s massive leap starts at the surface. The body follows the highest developments of F1 racing, with a sleek body that produces minimal facing for air resistance, with a unique design of front and rear wings to maximize usable down force, while minimizing speed restricting excess force. The body is exactly (as set by FIA rules) 1800mm wide with the front wheels pointed in the straight forward position. In its usual rule pushing fashion, all measurements put forth by FIA are met to an exact dimension, allowing the car to maximize its usable wheel base and width. The body is made of a carbon Kevlar composite set on a TiAl (Titanium Aluminum) frame, reinforced with steel. The car tips the scales at a scant fully loaded (dependent on driver) 602kg.
The powerplant of the beast is the work of joint RARA and Ferrari engineering. The motor is the standard high compression 2.4L 90degree V8, maximizing the amount of TiAl that can be used according to FIA regulations. Low weight metals were used where possible, including in the crank, camshaft, gear box, pistons, and other areas to keep weight down. Performance numbers will be kept top secret to be released at the approval of the Aust team, but can be assumed to be impressive to say the least. Fuel is fed to the engine through regulation sized injectors, with a Magneti Marelli digital electronic injection fuel system.
The suspension and breaking follow standard FIA rules. The car is held on its BBS single piece forged wheels by pushrod activated front and rear torsion springs, utilizing an independent four corner suspension set of springs, coilovers, and shocks, all made of low weight materials. The breaks are carbon Kevlar ceramic pads, using a small diameter piston and large diameter caliper and pad produced specifically by Brembo breaks. Each break is kept cool by a new design of air ducting to keep fresh, cool air flowing over the breaks. The ultra light weight single piece BBS wheels offer maximum contact patch through Goodyear F1 tires.
The transmission is a clutch-less, dry sump 7 speed sequential manual gear box, allowing shifting with no use of a clutch pedal. Wheel mounted shifters allow the driver to shift through the seven forward gears without removing his hands from the steering wheel. The system includes a special in cockpit lever that allows the electronic clutch to be disengaged, effectively putting the car in neutral. The transmission is capable of shifts in the lower hundredths of a second range, maximizing the time the throttle is fully open.
This car is sure to drive the challenge to work for new designs, and in true RARA fashion, pushes racing to its limits. RARA, along with numerous other firms, have put their specialties on the market to design vehicles for all levels and styles of racing, and all positions from track saftey vehicles to race cars to pace vehicles.

Mercury Racing Arrives!
Mercury Racing based in New Historia, has announced it will provide a team for the upcoming Formula 1 series.
Concentrating it's expert technology and testing on speed the the following chart shows how it's researchers are investing their time and effort:
Straight Speed 3
Cornering Speed 4
Reliability 2
It's Number one car is the Mercury F1XD which is showing amazing lap times in practice and will be driven by:
Marcus Rellion
Age: 24, Born: Angelica (New Historia), Formula 1: Debut, Conract: $Undesclosed.
Marcus has shown no fear in his racing career so far, claiming the motto, "..No Second Chances." Finishing as World Champion 3 times in the NewCar Series in New Historia, he has relished the opportunity to prove himself on the world stage.
The Number two car is the Mercury F1SG which is the original Mercury Racing Car. This car is much more reliable then the Mercury F1XD and will be driven this series by:
Blake Tomay
Age: 21, Born: Kimmins (New Historia), Formula 1: Debut, Contract: $Undesclosed
Blake seems to have no floors in his driving. A cool attitude under pressure, he shows that a little concentration can be damaging against those who suffer from 'win at all cost'. Reliably performs consistantly every race, he is never flashy, but will always be in the mix.
Also on the team is Rookie Test Driver:
Simon King
Age: 18, Born: Parks (New Historia), Formula 1: Test Driver, Contract: $Test Driver
Simon is the fresh faced, engine revving, heart stopping extreme racing specialist. Tipped as a possible world champion, Simon needs to control his temporament if he is to become a Formula 1 full-time driver. However he has the skills to push any machine to it's maximum capacity and if correctly massaged may prove a future star.
Now that we are up to 15 teams, I believe we will not accept new entries of teams for the time being.

Aust enters team into the F1 grand Prix
His highness, Emproer William funds his cousains venture into the world of motorsport
His Majesty, Emporer William the 1st of Aust has ordered the creationb of a Austian F1 Racing team, provisionally named His Majestys Finest Austian Racing Team, though the full name is likley to be shortened to Aust Racing.
The car has not been offically revealed yet but insiders assure us that it is udner construction by the best mecvhanics and technitions money can buy inside the teams new base in the Imperial Palace.
Reportedly the emporer has said that no expecne will be spared in the creation of the team and that he expects the team to "Uphold Austian honour"." A complex has been built in the Imperial grounds along with a racecouse to house and test the cars. It is said to contain the most high tech labs and garages in the world.
The two drivers may be the Austian weakness though, Prince Wilhelm and Princess Jasmine are both young members of the Imperial Ffamilly who, though they fit perfectly with the Austian aristacratic system, are not the most experience with handling cars. They are both young, 17 and 18, and may be unable to handle the powerful cars in front of them.
To counter this problem the Emporer has signed on 3 Grand prix greats Micheal Shumacher, Damien Hill and Nigel Mancill as test drivers and instructors.
The Austian cars specs are expected to be:
Aerodynamics - 4
Cornering - 2
Reliability - 3
Races will start after Thanksgiving, i.e. Friday, with the first qualifying session on Saturday.

Day 1 will feature the Race preview, but will not have any cars on track.
Day 2 is when the Qualifying round will take place. Twenty-six (26) cars will be able to race, so the bottom 4 qualifying cars will be unable to race on Day 3.
Day 3 is race day. All qualified cars will race, fastest one wins. Points will be given out based on the standard FIA scale, that being 1st-10 2nd-8 3rd-6 4th-5 5th-4 6th-3 7th-2 8th-1. The winning driver will recieve a small bonus to his car's stats. Points will be recorded for both Drivers and Manufacturers championships to be awarded at the end of the Season.
Good luck to all.
Day 1- Grand Prix of Krytenia
The opening Grand Prix of the season, the Grand Prix of Krytenia, will take place at the hastily completed Secloring, prepared quickly for this year's race. This long, brand new circuit should be a challenge for drivers, especally the challenging-looking turn seven. However, the real test will come when the drivers hit the track.
Secloring (http://media.terra.es/formula12005/img/circuitos/turquia.gif)
Turns- 13
Length- 3.25mi/5.4km
Laps- 56
The circuit is expected to be fast, and the pre-race advantage is expected to be with teams with more aerodynamically perfect cars, judging by the fast, flowing turns and sets of long straights.

LivEng Racing to reuse R05-02 car despite protests
LivEng Racing have confirmed that they will be reusing their R05-02 car from the original NSF1 series for the first few races of the season. This comes despite heavy protests about the lack of performance from the car. In the original NSF1 series' first season, the team finished strongly, in the top five (three?) for constructors and having both drivers finish in the top ten of the championship, of which half was raced with the R05-02.
The R05-03 had been scheduled to debut at Schimpol in the second NSF1 season, but now has been put off to race 4 of the F1GP season - debuting at home in Orean.
Fans aren't happy with the decision, as the R05-02 had shown poorly in both practices and the first (and only) qualifying session of the NSF1 second season. Team principal Gareth Dussis however insists he will not be put off.

Drivers signed for VLT Automotive. start practicing
Today, both Candrian drivers John Leeds and Maurice Grene have signed at VLT Automotive. the team will give Leeds the first car, and Maurice Grene the second available. the cars will be the finished prototype RF-13, built in the factory of VLT, near Luxembourg lately. The Car will be ready to race at the Krytenian GP. Both vehicles have arrived and have driven the first practice laps on the new, and classified (for other teams) VLER2-24 engine.
The engine has done well during tests in Luxembourg, altough the team has to see how the engine will do on the Secloring. The Secloring is "a competitive circuit, with enough dangerous corners to make a 'race to bite your fingers off'", as the Grand Duke said in an Interview with this magazine.
(OOC: just a small course on VLT engines: first two lettres is the producer (VLT in this case) the next two lettres are exceptional, as it means "Engine Racing". the number thereafter indicates the version of the engine. the last two numbers will give the Dl's (Decilitres) of the engine, just like BMW does (Mercedes works with Cl's).)
I did not intend to provide the results of Day 1 practice, but if so requested, I can generate a qualifying session to provide said times.
Other News: If you do not have a driver listed for both of your cars, now would be a really good time to fill out your team. Tango and Memyself only have 1 driver entered, while Auburn does not have any.
What happened to the Grand Prix of Vilita?
*shrugs*
Thomas Ragji (29) - First Driver
Ragji is the most experienced driver in a very young Rolatian team. He has some experience in the semi-professional Formula 1 league inside Rolatia - he has droven since the age of 23 (six seasons) and won the last two seasons before being signed up by Team Rolatia. It is unclear how well he will stand up to the pressures of driving in the international league.
Thomas is a driver who has worked his way up from the middle classes to establish a healthy job on the F1 circuit. He was recorded as having above-average intelligence, and passed 6 of 10 GCSEs in English, Wysterian, Japanese, Maths, Physics and Chemistry and an A-level in Japanese, but his true passion was street racing.
His potential was recognized by Aquas Motors, who signed him up first as a test driver and then a second driver. He struggled at first but by his third season of five as a full driver gained his first podium finish and managed to reach seventh overall. Season four led to a shock championship much to the amazement of others - his team was just about in the top five, but he was a second driver - it was an amazing acheivement even if he was leading driver. In season five he became top driver and won another championship before leaving for the international circuit
William Sralt (26) – Second Driver
Sralt is a young driver who was the rising star of the Haere team, the team that had won nine driver's championships in eleven years before Ragji's back-to-back championships, and looked set to be a serious contender for a top-three overall finish before he was snapped up by the Rolatian team to drive on the international league.
William has had a rather privileged upbringing compared to some Rolatians. Born to a middle-class family, he went to a top Rolatian school, but he was not too strong in most subjects. He did manage to scrape through with GCSEs in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology before joining the Formula 1 team Redmofae as a test driver. He broke into the main team at the age of 22 and managed to claim fourth in the Redmofo Grand Prix. At the end of the season he joined Haere, where in two seasons he gained seventh and fourth overall, eventually quitting for Team Rolatia to the dismay of many.
Nick Fasre (42) – Test Driver
Fasre is the most experienced overall, but not so much in Formula 1. Fasre is a former world champion, winning five back-to-back championships from 1988 to 1993 including three constructor's championships for Haere, before retiring at the young age of 30 to spend more time with his family, having earned a decent amount to keep him in comfort while still requiring him to be employed. He quit his office job in 2005 to join Team Rolatia as the test driver.
He has an illustrious past. Brought up in the city of Redmofo while the Conservative-Fascist coalition were in power (before the 1974 civil rights abuse led to the assassination of the fascist PM and the fleeing of the Fascist party after losing the election by a landslide), he suffered a rough childhood, his father emigrating when he was three and being arrested twice as a teenager for petty theft. He dropped out of school at 14, and joined the underground racing circuit. When Formula 1 became a mainstream 'sport' in 1986, he was signed up by Haere and got third twice overall before five incredible championship wins which made him a national hero. He retired after those, but was lured out of retirement by a decent government wage for being a test driver for Team Rolatia

Candrian drivers signed to VLT
Rumors confirmed, Auburn only driverless team
VLT has announced in a recent press conference that it has indeed signed the two remaining Candrian F1 pilots, Maurice Grene and John Leeds. This leaves Auburn International as the only team without any drivers. There are a handful of other teams with only one driver, including most notably Tango & Kartuma, a Macabee-based team, where a good chunk of the F1A organization happens to be located.
Practice sessions conclude today, with the qualifying starting before the final race tomorrow. If Auburn does not find drivers, it is assured that they will miss out on the first race of the season. There are two free agent drivers registered with the F1A, Charles Hanbrook and Xavier Delson, both from Casari. Whether they will be signed by Auburn or by both Tango and Memyselfandi XVI has yet to be seen; if they are signed by the one driver teams Auburn will be forced to look for domestic talent.
It will go in if we can't find a race quite soon to fill that position.

Mixed results for the Austian Team
The Austian Racing team faced there first setback after months of preperation with there new car the RF-12-001. Qualifying on the first day of the Grand Prix of Krytenia, the first GP of this year calander was a mixed bag for the Austian team.
His highness Prince Wilhelm came in 8th 0.5 seconds behind the leader, Jessica Sandevaus while his sister Princess Jasmine came in 25th, 2rd to last. She was a full 1.5 seconds behind race pace. However she is said to be confident her fortunes will improve on race day.
"I'm still a good driver." She said, "Turn 7 really caught me out in qualifying and that explains my slow time, owever I know about it now."
Prince Wilhelm was even more optermistic, "I'm 7 places behind the leaders," He said, "Thats nothing, if I can get a good start then I am sure I will amke up the distance."

Sandevaus, SUGP qualify 1st, Candrians midpack
Jessica Sandevaus qualified 1st for Southern Universe GP, with a time of 1.30.013, in sharp contrast of Jason Welkoma's 1.31.106 time for 22nd.
Candrians Georhad Feltahntomp and Maurice Grene came in 10th and 11th for DWLP F1 and VLT Automotive, respectively, with times of 1.30.673 and 1.30.716. TCR drivers Scott LeCroix and James KeFlinger came in 13th and 16th, with times of 1.30.765 and 1.30.817. No Candrian driver failed to qualify. John Leeds, driving for VLT, qualified last with a time of 1.31.424.
"We were driving on race fuel. We couldn't keep up with the lighter cars up front," James KeFlinger, first driver for Twin Crescent Racing, said in a press conference today. "We will stick to our strategy and hope we can pass them in the pits."
The Candrian drivers were the two closest teamates in qualifying, under a tenth of a second apart.
GOOD SIGNS FOR ROLATIA
Team Rolatia were celebrating last night as they had early success on the Krytenian circuit, with William Sralt just missing a top-six finish in qualifying. Team Rolatia was expecting a low finish outside the top 10 on account of the lack of experience relatively on a high level, so 7th place with a time of 90.282- even if it was trailing by a fair bit - is a strong result. Top driver Thomas Ragji had a bad session, finishing 17th with 90.883, but is optimistic. Considering the low expectations the Rolatians are happy
When both drivers were asked for comments, Sralt stated "This is a nice result going into my first international result. There's little chance of a win, but I'm shooting for a top six finish - a tough ordeal, but I'll try.". Ragji said "I appear to have been outclassed by my companion here, and had a bad session. I'll still be going for a top-fifteen finish, because I've got to have a goal. Hopefully the Golden Throne Grand Prix will be luckier".
In other news, Nick Fasre has sustained a slight hand injury from an engine failure while testing Sralt's car pre-qualifying - the problem has been easily rectified and Fasre should be back within four days

ATR SHOW POORLY AT HOME
ARI Morgan had an absolute nightmare in his attempts to qualify; not only could he park it no higher than 20th, but he came a cropper at Turn Seven on the 'in' lap. Teammate Liam Ridgewell managed to get Car 8 onto the seventh row; however the ATR boys have it all to do if they are to have any thoughts of points this weekend.

R05-02 qualifies well in Krytenia
The R05-02 had a good showing in qualifying for the Secloring in Krytenia despite early worries and protests from fans that the car was not up to the standard. Troy Wilkins qualified in third and Mike Daniels sixth, but amazingly, Oscar Philips, who had done quite poorly in the original NSF1 series for the team, qualified in 5th for Tango et Kartuma, 27 thousandths of a second ahead of Daniels.
Daniels went out first, with 19 drivers already having set a time. Daniels had performed well in testing for the team over the past six weeks, and it showed as he went into the 197-km/h 5th turn first intermediate leading the pack.
Daniels however surprisingly could not cope with the chicane at the 7th turn, and spun off track onto the side road. Getting back on track, he completed the parabolica nicely, as would any driver who has raced on the Desert Circuit at Orean, but however was off by 2 tenths of a second at the second intermediate. Daniels finished his lap in 1 min 30.187s, enough to put him provisionally P3.
Philips then went out and set a blistering lap, outdoing his former teammate for once. When it came to Wilkins it was almost a perfect lap. Almost. Wilkins had to radio in to the pits on turn 9 of his warmup lap complaining of cold tires. As he tried to warm them up down the back straight, he flat-spotted one of them locking up.
The damaged tire affected his ability to turn, but Wilkins was lucky to be the last man out, setting a time of 1'30.072", P3.

VLT Automotive qualifies with two cars, Grand Duke "unsatisfied"
KRYTENIA- The qualifications of VLT Automotive have been poorly done. This is the opinion of the Grand Duke, Lead Engineer and Director of the VLT Automotive. With Maurice Grene qualifying for 11th place, and John Leeds last, The cars and their drivers probably had some bad luck. hopefully, next time will be better. Maurice Grene commented that "He should be able to make a great start and finish on the stage". John Leeds was not available for comments at this time. we hope to speak him after the race, with a full report of what happened. VLF1 will keep you updated in this magazine.

TEAM ROLATIA MISS OUT ON TOP TEN; DRIVERS ANNOYED
Team Rolatia have had a mixed race, with William Sralt - coming 7th in qualifying - ending up trailing in nineteenth, almost a minute behind winner Jessica Sandevaus. When asked about this, he said "I had a terrible day. I suffered damage to my car after I almost crashed into the barriers on Lap 7, and I have confirmation that I have suffered a severe fracture to my little left finger - I should be able to race next week though"
Thomas Ragji had a better race, climbing four places from his start to thirteenth overall - a decent start. He commented later "It was a tough race with tough opponents. I hope I can improve on this next race to get into the top eight - I can only hope.". There was disappointment over fans expecting points, but F1 is still set to be followed closely in Rolatia

Today, at the Krytenian GP, The VLT cars ended up as 15th and 17th. both the drivers were not available for comments, but the Grand Duke commented that the cars were probably heavier, as they were completely fueled up during start. this has affected the start of the drivers. we cannot say how the next race will do, but we hope for better results, and at least a few points.

The track at Fedala is an odd mixed bag when it comes to setup- While the track has several long straights for more aerodynamic cars to take advantage of, the technical cornering and braking sections holds an advantage for cars with better cornering ability. This leaves both teams on a nearly equal footing.

Twin Crescent touches down for GP in the Macabees
Race in the Golden Throne's Fedala part of back to back series
Twin Crescent has landed in the Macabees, in preparation for the second race of the season and the next race in a back to back series. Practice sessions will begin later today, with TCR poised to dominate in the long straights and tight curves of Fedala. In simulation, James KeFlinger and Scott LeCroix both posted times in the low 1.16.000s, with the best posted at 1.16.097 as James KeFlinger pushed the simulation ride to 318 km/h down the straight before the speed trap.
It will be interesting to see if simulation passes down to reality, as the simulation, despite being a major reason for TCR's gigantic pilot development costs, trivializes or removes certain elements, such as point tire wear. How the pilots react to these changes could determine if TCR comes away from this race still expecting to be serious contenders during the season. In the highly publicised simulation event at the paddock, KeFlinger seemed to have trouble with turn 7, running off the track at least twice during his simulation runs.
The Hailen Simulation engine, developed initially for testing the characteristics of certain tire compounds in near-realistic settings, was modified by TCR to use as a training tool for their drivers, as well as a great way to gather large crowds of people who wanna take a crack at it.
LeCroix on previous race
Excerpts from press confrence before cars were called out for today's practice
"We stuck with our strategy. We got a good jump out on the green light at the beginning and stuck with it. We stuck with the two stop strategy, the high-mod-light fuel loadout, and we controlled where we could.
...
When KeFlinger got into 1st for those (15)laps before his pit, he tried to keep it. He had to stick with it to place (3rd). He didn't let up, even when he was going in after I left pit lane. We didn't give it up. I know in my short (8) laps up front, I gave it my all, I didn't let up. We... never gave in. "

VLT Automotive 10th and 32nd
During practice on the GP circuit of Fedala, Maurice Grene came out very well on 10th place, with his time. John Leeds came out 32nd, and was not very happy with it.
"Well, I missed a few corners, and totally blew the ideal line. we'll hope it gets better next time, as I will be constantly training. VLT is ofcourse hoping for a 2-men stage position, but as of now, this chance will not be here. let's hope the GP of Van Luxemburg runs smoothly, as we need to defend our home for the season down there."
The princess upsets the order

ROLATIA ONLY GETS ONE QUALIFYING DRIVER
The second driver, William Sralt, for Team Rolatia has failed to qualify. There are reports suggesting that Sralt was high from a drink spiked by an unknown source - there is speculation that Samuel J Portaal, ruler of Flashes and a friend of Dr Joseph Edwards (Prime Minister of Rolatia) was behind the act, although these are totally denied by both countries.
Meanwhile Thomas Ragji did decent in qualifying, securing 7th placed. There is a lot of hope it won't be unlucky 7 like in the last race. There is shock at Sralt but still hope that Thomas Ragji will secure a point and keep the country's honour. Dr Edwards is closely watching the action and has spoken out to International F1 Live, the Rolatian TV show covering the incidents. He stated that "I fully supports Sralt's innocence over any accusations and hope that Ragji does Rolatia proud."

LeCroix places 8th, KeFlinger dead last in qualifying
Transition unsmooth again in TCR; Feltahntomp crashes
James KeFlinger placed dead last in qualifying, posting a 1.18.299. Scott LeCroix placed 8th, with 1.16.341. Transition from the simulator to the track has proved tough this year, but team officials are confidant that a podium could still be pulled out. "We'll go with our standard strategy again. Just keep pushin'." KeFlinger, of course, will be far more tense than his statement seems - he'll have to fight from the back of the pack to the top 3 to keep TCR's hope for a dominant start alive.
Georhad Feltahntomp, racing for DWLP F1, crashed during qualifying, splitting his car in half. He survived with some minor bruising, and was released from a hospital last night, but will sit out the race. His posted time before the crash was 1.18.550, which would have not been good enough to qualify.

Aust finishes poorly
The Emrpoer expressed his anger today at the performance of his team at the Grand Prix of The Golden Throne. Only one Austian driver managed to finish the race, Prince Wilhelm, and even then he only finished in 19th, 3 places higher than his qualifying spot.
His sister retired with engine trouble on lap 20, after a great start to the race. She was challangeing for 3rd before her engine blew-a great shame for the austian nation.

Bad Race for VLT
VLT Automotive has had a bad race again. not driving into points and obviously no stage place has upset the Grand Duke quite a bit. His only concern is that VLT is now losing money more than it brings in. He hoped that the next races, most notably the races in The Candrian Empire, the origin of VLT's drivers, aswell as in Van Luxemburg, origin of VLT itself. despite that the Grand Duke hopes on at least one point in the next race. This race has gone terribly wrong becuase of slow pitstops, aswell as bad tires. We hope to improve this for the race at the Mushroom Road.

ROLATIA STRAIGHT ON THE POINTS
There was much cheering across Rolatia as Thomas Ragji managed to comfortably gain fourth, at the back of a small crowd which far out-finished the opponents behind. Ragji was second in lap 50 but a pit stop stopped him, with an end result under two seconds behind Unnamed Driver 1 of Memyselfandmi XI. There was a good mood over Rolatia , with PM Joseph Edwards declaring he was happy with the results
STRONG PRACTICE ROUND FOR RAGJI
The practice round ended in a decent result for Thomas Ragji, coming in second in a close field. When interviewed later on in the day, Ragji stated "This is a decent warm-up result going into the next GP. I'm looking to get in the points again and this is a good morael boost." William Sralt came 23rd and test driver Nick Fasre 27th, with Sralt later stating "This has not been a good season overall so far. I'm hoping to improve in qualifying tomorrow"

TCR practice - "Going strong"
Team fields strong car for aero-heavy track
The third race of the F1GP season held practice sessions at the Mushroom Kingship today. James KeFlinger, going out in mid session, placed a fastest lap of 55.053 seconds, 4 hundereths off of leader Liam Ridgewell and Austin-Tickford. Race officials believe the race will be so tight that expanded time differentials will be needed - the official clock goes down to eight decimals. Scott LeCroix, despite being only 1/10th a second off of leader, was 20 places behind. Steven Sloan, driving the practice car, placed the 10th best practice time, 8 hundereths off of leader, however Twin Crescent officials maintain LeCroix will still drive.

ROLATIAN TEAM DO BRILLIANTLY
There was much cheering in the Team Rolatia camp last night at the end of qualifying, as Thomas Ragji managed to build on his practice time by securing a very narrow second place in qualifying with 55.543 seconds - just four thousandths of a second ahead of Mikeus Makis - a fine result. William Sralt finally managed to get his act together too, with a 6th place - there is a decent chance that both Rolatian drivers could land in the points tomorrow. When asked about his and his team's performance, Ragji stated "We've been improving our driving against some tough opponents and it's payed off. Team Rolatia are hoping to claim 10 points this season as a basic target - let's see if we can't shoot for more!"

VLT Still going bad
Today, and yesterday, the training and qualifications at the Mushroom Road turned out bad once again for the VLT drivers. Maurice Grene has reached the 14th place, and John Leeds has made it to the 25th place. this means that a victory for VLT is highly unlikely, but, as the Grand Duke says, "Still Possible".
It just gets worse
Aust performed woefully in qualifying today as Prince Wilhelm failed to qualify andhis sister, Princess Jasmine finished 23rd out of a feild of 25. With Aust claiming only 1 point this season, things look dire and the Emporeris said to be unhappy.

LivEng Racing fire team principal
LivEng Racing's team principal, Gareth Dussis, has been given the sack by the Liverpool England Federation for Vehicular Sport (FVSLE), which oversees all sports in the nation relating to vehicles, be it motorcross or rallying; autoracing or powerboating.
The FVSLE's statement in full:
The Federation for Vehicular Sport's board of directors have unanimously agreed to terminate the reign of Mr. Gareth Dussis as team principal of the LivEng Racing F1GP team.
The Board of Directors all agreed that Mr. Dussis' style of management was impeding the team, and as such was not in a position to help propel the team forward. The drivers had previously also made informal complaints about Mr. Dussis' behaviour to the FVS.
For the next three races, including the home Grand Prix in Orean, Mr. Syku Lyku of the Football Association has agreed to deputise as team principal, and we are certain his expertise in sports and management can only be beneficial to this team.

RAGJI SECURES SECOND WHILE SRALT SPENDS NIGHT IN HOSPITAL
Thomas Ragji is delighted with his result as he managed to secure his first Grand Prix win by an incredible 10 seconds in a VERY long Grand Prix which saw twelve drivers out including teamate William Sralt. He managed to surpass pole-position Liam Ridgewell for a comfortable lead and win. This propels him into a tie for the top in the Driver's Standings with Oscar Phillips of Tango et Kartuma - interesting, both drivers have scored the only points for their teams, both got into first and fourth for their points AND both were not in the point in the first race. Team Rolatia is now tied third with Tango et Kartuma. Ragji has declared "This is an absolute delight for me and Rolatia. The fact I have managed to win a Grand Prix on the international stage is a credit to the team behind the car and the team backing me all the way. I send my condolences to my team William and hope his situation improves"
Meanwhile, William Sralt is now in hospital after his car's front exploded after ploughing into a barrier, nearly killing three spectators but leaving him with only minor leg wounds from shrapnel - he still needs to stay in hospital for a couple of days for a minor operation. He said "I'm pretty annoyed that I crashed but I'm thankful I'm still alive"

LivEng Racing claim first points of season
Both drivers among 15 drivers classified
Mark Daniels (7th) and Troy Wilkins (9th) have every reason to be happy, as they clocked their first joint-finish of the season, with Daniels picking up two championship points. Their R05-02s, taking part in their last race, did well on its swan song, helping the team to their first points-scoring finish of the year.
The R05-03 will debut at the next race at home in Orean, where preparations have been underway to ensure a smooth Grand Prix.
The Federation for Vehicular Sport released a statement on the upcoming race:
The FVSLE is pleased that once again our brilliant circuit in Orean has been picked to host a race. Orean has been gearing up for this race for many many months, and it will be nice to finally have a home race after nearly a year.
The FVSLE would also like to extend its appreciation to Mr. Syku Lyku for taking over temporarily as team principal of the LivEng Racing team, and are extremely delighted at the performances of Mark and Troy. We fully expect our drivers to do well at home, and give the home support something to cheer about.
Aust fail to fire-again
Aust finished a humiliating last in todays Gp as none of there drivers mamaged to finish. Princess jasmine limped out ofter a spin on lap 46 while her brother failed to qualify. This leaves Aust in 12th place in the constructors championship.

Bad day for SUGP
Jessica Sandevaus has been released from hospital after a huge crash during the Grand Prix of the Mushroom Kingship, as her car touched tires with the LivEng car of Mike Daniels, resulting in a massive multi-roll accident. She however has been cleared to race in round 4.
Welkoma's day ended on lap 101 after a major tire puncture destroyed the car's left front suspension, tossing the car into the gravel and out of the race.
Both cases are unfortunate, but the team will rebound and hopefully Sandevaus and Welkoma will recover. The team also holds on the team championship lead.
Apologies for letting this slide until this late, but some things we cannot avoid, and sadly studying for a physics test took precidence.

Length: 5.14km

While it appears to be a fast track, many tight corners along the way and the long sweepers should negate the aero advantage and bring everyone back into the race.
I wouldn't judge by the rankings- Everyone is brutally fast on day one, with the chart topped by a pair of test drivers.

Lap record borken easily in Orean
The first day of the Liverpool England Grand Prix at the Desert Circuit in Orean saw all 35 drivers crack the old lap record of 80.924 seconds, with Garth Tandon and Luigi Nett, two test drivers, seeting the pace. Tandon's new lap record of 80.040 seconds saw him being awarded a special trophy by FVSLE Chairman Indela Manson.
Of the drivers who take part in qualifying, Troy Wilkins, racing at home in the new R05-03, took third overall in practice - leading the rest of the "first-team" drivers on 80.064. However, Mike Daniels had a rough day, including his car's drive shaft failing thrice and two of his tyres blowing out, and managed to only clock an 80.284, putting him in 30th.
Both drivers, racing at home on the R05-03's debut, will no doubt be looking to lead the pack after qualifying. The FVSLE has promised L£600,000 (US$ 1.075 million) to the winner of the race, L£250,000 (US$ 448,000) to the runner-up, L£100,000 (US$ 179,000) to the last podium finisher, and L£25,000 (US$ 45,000) to the pole position man.

Another race adn another dire practace for Aust with both dfrivers finishing outside the top 20 drivers. Princess Jasmine managed a mere 32nd place while her brother managed only 8 places higher on a brutally quick track.
They may take consilation from the fact it was only a practace and they where only 0.1 seonds behind the race leader, but if things don't improve soon heads will roll.
PRACTICE ROUND YIELDS DECENT RESULT FOR FASRE
In a brutally fast practice round at Liverpool England, where there was a mere three-tenths of a second gap between the first and last drivers, test driver Nick Fasre managed to get a good practice, ending in sixth and ahead of his fellow team drivers. When asked about his result, Fasre stated "I'm quite happy that I secured a decent result on this incredibly close round. I may not be in the team but I can still race well"

Maurice Grene had a very good training in Liuverpool England today. he placed tenth with his time of 80.102, just behind Jason Welkoma of Southern Universe GP. Ari morgan and Thomas Ragji were close by, with times of 80.103and 80.104 respectively. John Leeds placed 29th, In what was a good training, with alp times very close to even Maurice Grene. VLT hopes on a better race than others for this day, but VLT has been too optimistic in the last races, the Grand Duke officially said during the TV-programme "VL F-1", fridaynight on RTVL.

KeFlinger- "We can't keep doing this"
Outraged by floundering midpack performances
In an interview with CSC, James KeFlinger, pilot of Twin Crescent Racing's foray into Formula 1, expressed his anger in the team's failure to capitalized on their early success. "We had a good car, we are still good drivers... but we can't win if we keep doing this... We need to pull together or it's gonna be a long season."
In qualifying sessions for the GPLE, KeFlinger placed 10th, LeCroix, 14th, but things are looking up: in practice sessions, KeFlinger pulled up to 4th on light fuel.
SRALT LOSES AGAIN WHILE RAGJI GRABS POLE
William Sralt has today failed to qualify again, leading to fears that he is an alchoholic, while Thomas Ragji picks up a huge bonus by taking his first pole position by a 'comfortable' margin of just under one-tenth of a second. Thomas Ragji stated "I am really pleased with my current performances on the track, and hope to keep them up for the rest of the season.". William Sralt was unavailable for comment

Maurice Grene out of line, surprisingly
Maurioce Grene today got no qualifying position, as he had missed one corner, and placed 28th out of 30, 2 places away from last racing position. His car made a strange movement and was out of the control of the driver, and had hit the dirt. He thereafter returned with a good lap, but not good enough to make up for his failure earlier. VLT cars probably don't have enough power, as John Leeds drove an excellent lap while placing 19th.
Are things looking up for Aust?
Today qualifying seesions turned up a suprise, the belugered Austian team that ahs been roundly critised in recent weeks managed to egt into a decent poition. prince Wilhelm finisihed in 9th while Princess Jasmine finished in 15th-a long way ahead of there practace stations.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v729/Sonic84/SEGA/SonicTeamSmall.gif Press release in association with http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v729/Sonic84/Subaru/SubaruLogo.jpg of Tundra and http://www.auspcworld.com/images/news/logos/sega_logo.gif of Tundra
Rumors are about that Subaru would be pulling support for the Republic's effort in F1GP after lack luster results with its drivers that have resulted in few points and a very low position in the Manufacturers Cup. Subaru of Tundra has been one of the foremost supporters of the Republic's Motorsports efforts throughout the years. The SEGA Republic started a region based around motorsports, so the results for its F1GP effort are anything but pleasing to the Republic and the region, considering it’s the only nation in the region of Tundra with a F1GP.
However today it was announced that Subaru would start up a feeder team for its F1GP efforts, its first entry will be in the Republic's CART Series that runs on various tracks in the Republic and a handful around the region. It is unknown who the first driver will be for the team but the initial scheme was released to the press.

This announcement cant leave the current drivers for the team feeling to secure considering there results, however they have a good amount of the season left to prove there worth.
RAGJI SECURES COMFORTABLE FIRST PLACE
Formula 1 fever continues to grip Rolatia as Rolatian driver Thomas Ragji managed to secure first in the championship by a comfortable ten points, sparking some rumours that he might win the driver's championship and possibly even the constructor's championship.
Ragji, 29, has had a toiugh job appealing to the public - Formula One has always had a decent audience in Rolatia, but he had to try and make it big and this wasn't helped by a rocky start to the season, finishing 13th in the first race after a badt 17th in qualifying, but managed to pick up 7th in the Golden Throne and 4th in the race proper, before he really started to shine with 2nd in practice and a very narrow 2nd in qualifying in the Mushroom Kingship before zooming to his first win and tieing for first with Oscar Phillips of Tango et Kartuma in the championships.
He then managed to secure a 'perfect' win in Liverpool England (pole position AND first place) after finishing with a six-second lead to take first in the standing, seven points clear of Jason Welkoma, and single-handedly (we're not kidding - William Sralt has only finished one race this season in somewhere below 10th). When asked today about his accomplishments, he has said "Well, it's been a hard time, and I'm not going to get all elitist now - pride comes before a fall. It's been an extremely tough series against very strongdrivers. I'm thanking God that I'm leading it, but I expect one of the more experience drivers will take the cup. I also hope my good friend and teammate William Sralt will improve."
Speaking of Sralt, he's had a tough time on the circuit. After managing to secure 7th in the first qualifying, he's sunk pretty badly. He was relegated to the back after ending in 19th after a slight crash and has been having poor luck ever since. The Golden Throne gave him 11th in practice but he finished in 27th duiring qualifying - very, very slight over 0.1 seconds adrift of the final qualifying spot. The Mushroom Kingship yielded 23rd in practice and an incredible 6th in qualifying, but his car crashed and the front exploded, almost killing him.He then finished 27th again in qualifying by 0.04 seconds approximately. When asked to comment, Sralt stated "It's been a trying few months for me, and the pressure is quite frankly getting to me severely. I need to relax a bit more, and hopefully I'll be able to finish and finish well in the next race"

TCR Back in the points
KeFlinger at 5th in LE keeps hopes for manufacturer championship afloat. With 4 races left, the Candrian team, if the drivers remain consistently in points, can contend for the Manufacturerer's Championship, even without a first-place win all season. Consistency is key from now on.
So close: Aust narrowly miss out on the points
Aust where unlucky not pto pick up the points today as both Princess Jasmine and Prince Wilhelm finished within 5 places of the points. wilhelm finished 10th and his sister finished 13th. The young prince said after the race, "It was a pity we couldn't take advatage of the start we had a bit more, I was right on Mike Daniels tail at the end."

Race in DCE sells over 220,000 tickets; LeCroix ties with Aust-driver for practice pole
In front of 223,467 people at Midland Park Raceway Circuit, Scott LeCroix led the colors of Twin Crescent Racing to a strong Practice showing at the team's home field, outside Villa. His time of 1.27.219 tied with Aust driver Princess Jasmine, a member of the Austian royal family; and is the track record, beating James KeFlinger's time of 1.27.556 set in 2003 during a Dominion Prototype Series race.

John Leeds goes well in TCE
John Leeds today marked a miletone for VLT Automotive. It was the first time VLT Automotive made it into the first 10 during the practices. Maurice Grene however, ended only 0.1 seconds behind him, but was put at position 30, as times had been set very close together. The Race in the Candrian Empire is of some hope to the VLT team, as it is the home-town to both drivers of VLT.

In a incredable revesal of fortunes for the belugered Aust F1 team today, princess Jamine came out in 1st during practace! Though this is only a practace seesion there is no doubt her mechanics will be delighted with her progress.
BAD PRACTICE FOR ROLATIA
Rolatian drivers have had a bad practice round today, with the three drivers finishing 24th, 27th and 18th= respectively. When the best driver in today's practice and most experienced driver on the team Nick Fasre was questioned he stated "I wouldn't go off of practice results. They are always a very tight field and often test drivers beat their 'superiors'. I have confidence in Ragji and Sralt's ability for the qualifying and race"

A great qualifying seesion for Aust today as Prince Jasmine and Prince Wilhelm managed to finsihed 2rd and 3rd. Aust ahs had a torrid time in recent weeks and this result is sure to lighten some loads, and bring smiles to Austian faces.
ROLATIA HAS BAD DAY ON TRACK
Team Rolatia had an awful qualifying session yesterday, with the number 1 Rolatian driver and the leader of the championship (although undoutably not for much longer) finishing 18th on the track. William Sralt managed 13th - some are saying that things may start to look up for Sralt. When both drivers were asked about their performance, Ragji stated "This is not a strong track for me. I'm not having a good weekend in terms of driving. Hopefully I'll be back to form for Le Mans - otherwise, any chance at a championship will be done the hole most likely". Sralt stated "Well, it's not been a particularly good weekend - or a good season for me - so far. But the fact I managed to come in at a top-half qualifying position is at least encouraging"

RACE CITY MOTORSPORTS TO PULL OUT OF F1GP
Today it was announced that Race City Motorsports, one of the world's top racing organisations, will pull out of the F1GP following this week's events. The team have expressed that they are utterly unimpressed with the results shown by Partrick O'Neeal and Earl Murano.
"O'Neeal and Murano are two very good drivers," said team boss Fred Mannin,"They have done well in stock cars, and in open-wheelers, but they feel that the rules are just too restrictive. And that's what the entire team has been complaining. They are used to being able to find a decent setup, but are unable to do so without breaching the rules. We will, however, try out this new feeder series proposed by the nation of Sonic The Hedgehogs."

Justin Myers, leader of the Empire of Justin E Myers, today announced he has high hopes that his government backed F1 project team will be accepted to compete next season. Justin hopes to live out his life long dream of competing in F1 and boost his countries moral at the same time. Not much has been announced about the team except that Justin will be the team's number one driver and the Empire's Air Force(one of the world's best) is in charge of aerodynamics. Justin is reportedly also interested in hosting a grand prix at his soon to be completed track, but has not filed an official request because he says it will be work enough to get a new team accepted in so little time.

Tango et Kartuma Looking for Better Season Next Time
After a thrilling victory at the home course in Fedala at the hands of Liverpoolian Oscar Phillips the Tango et Kartuma team did not so well in the rest of the race, finishing fourth or less in subsequent races. In fact, Oscar Phillips finished tenth on day three of the Grand Prix of the Candrian Empire, leaving him fifth on the Driver's Standings and the team sixth, tied with Mercury Racing, in the constructors standing. A resurgent interest in seeing better preformance in the Formula 1 Grand Prix has led Tango et Kartuma to begin massive research developements for a new car for the second season.
Otherwise, Tango et Kartuma has also decided to replace two drivers [not Oscar Phillips] with foreign drivers and are looking for possible contracts [put 'em up]. The two new drivers will spend the rest of the season running for training, while the new car should be fully ready for next season. There are rumours it has already been designed for the sake of not dropping rank for an engine replacement Tango et Kartuma has put its official release date after the last GP of the first season.
In terms of expectations for this season, there aren't many. Tango et Kartuma has put in hopes of seeing a resurgent Oscar Phillips in the rankings but there's not too much pressure on him until next year. Regardless, a win is always good.
RAGJI SUFFERES ENGINE FAILURE - SRALT GAINS POINTS AND BRINGS TR WITHIN GRAPS OF CC
Thomas Ragji has had a third bad day in a row, suffering from engine failure in the 46th lap. Luckily, the driver managed to get off the main circuit before causing too much damage and was quickly lead away by Candrian staff. When asked later about the incident, Ragji issued the following statement: "Candrian Empire is obviously not my strongest circuit. I've had three bad days in a row and I'm putting this down to incredibly bad luck. As I said I will be back in form for the next GP."
Meanwhile, William Sralt finished in 6th, securing his first three points of the season and pushing Team Rolatia to within 2 points of Southern Universe, who were unlucky in getting 21st and DNQ - a sign that the circuit is jinxed for successful drivers? When interviewed, Sralt said "I'm far too late to get the championship now, but I can help get Team Rolatia to the Constructor's Championshoip with my help. The Southern Universe failure was a VERY positive thing and keeps both trophies within our grasp".
Sralt was also referring to the Driver's Champion, where Welkoma's failure to qualify has meant that Ragji stays 7 points clear. However, race champion Blake Tomay of Mercury Racing now ties with Welkoma, leaving Ragji under pressure to perform in the next race or suffer
Thanks to Mac for posting the results for me. I don't know why, but I couldn't post in this thread.

Austs dominance in todays GP was shown after the Austians gained a 2-3 finish with 2 drivers on the podium. Though the Austians didn't win this is a great result for Aust, moving Prince Wilhelm up to 9th in the drivers championship, and 8th in the constructors.

VLT Automotive for the first time between the first 10.
VLT Automotive scored it first hit today at The Candrian Empire. It's drivers, John Leeds and Maurice Grene have hit the 9th and 16th place. This is the first time ever that VLT has ended with the first 10. This was, surprisingly enough, done by John Leeds, who has been driving worse than Maurice Grene the last time. VLT Automotive still has hope that they will finsih 1st in some race, most notably the race in Van Luxemburg, Im Heimat as the Germans would say.

ATR test driver looks for promotion
“Use me or lose me,” Nett says.
Aston-Tickford Racing’s Formula 1 test driver Luigi Nett has voiced his desire to play a more important role within the team in the near future. With only Friday’s practices to showcase his skill, the young Spruitlander has nevertheless managed to deliver a few impressive performances, enough to be considered as one of the main drivers, or so he feels.
“I regularly clock the fastest practice times of the team,” Nett says. “Twice I even clocked the second fastest time of the entire pack. And I only totalled three test cars so far. I think that proves I can handle myself.”
After clocking the eighth time in the Grand Prix of Van Luxemburg’s practice runs, again in front of his two team mates, Luigi felt it was time to speak up, “before it’s too late.”
“We can still win the constructor’s championship,” Nett claims confidently. “It’s not too late yet. At least, if they let me race from now on.”
“Liam’s doing fine,” Nett added when asked who of his colleagues would have to make way, “but let’s face it, Ari drives like a woman. It’s time for a professional to step in and save the day.”
Back to normal for Aust
After last weeks double podium finish it appears that it is back to normal for the Austians. Austs two main drivers, Prince Wilhelm and Princess Jasmine finished 21st and 15th respectivly.
In other news Team Aust is understood to have made a contract offer for ATR's test driver Luigi Nett.

F1GP visits Van Luxemburg, Domestic available tickets sold out
Today the first training runs were made by the F1GP teams on Le Mans. What usually is a very silent training, was now disturbed by huge lines for tickets to the actual race. All domestic tickets have been sold, and ticket prices have skyrocketed by "blacksellers" over the internet. The New circuit, built on the Grand Duke's money has been completely tidied up, aswell as Local police has set up roadblocks for the expected crowds. Mirage 2000 fighter aircraft have been set on high alert, to perform fly-by's just before the race, to honour the F1GP. Military units from bases in the immediate region have been deployed to check papers, in case of possible terroristic actions. New safety cars have been arranged by VLT, and scooters have been readied for drivers to explore the circuit before any race. also, high-end simulators have been set up for the same purpose. The Van Luxemburgian Racing Board is very confident of the good ending of the race.
In other news, Maurice Grene ended up with the highest position yet in the F1GP, 2nd, just behind Twin Crescent Racing's Steven Sloan. John Leeds was less lucky with his bad start, as the engine started only milliseconds to late for the start of the practice. VLT technicians have spent the rest of the day and the whole night checking the problem. John Leeds has been given his back-up car for the moment.

WILLIAM SRALT OUTPERFORMS RAGJI IN DISMAL QUALIFYING
William Sralt, secondary driver for Team Rolatia in the international F1 circuit, has today managed to beat Thomas Ragji, leading driver and currently championship leader (although his position is looking quite dismal at the moment) in what was an overall dismal session.
Thomas Ragji, currently on the slide from back-to-back Grand Prix wins, the second one being a perfect (pole/1st) win - he now holds the records for the most perfect, most consecutive and most total GP wins, although that can't be kept up too long - only managed to crawl in at 21st in a field of 30 - leaving him on the third-to-last row on the tract - meaning his chances of securing points and keeping his championship hope alive is all but nulled. He was unavailable for comment after his showing.
William Sralt, after coming back from a rather poor position and season in general to secure three points in The Candrian Empire, has also performed badly but has secured sixteenth which puts him on the eight row. He was quoted as saying "I need to perform today to keep the constructor's dream alive for Team Rolatia"

TeK To Hire Xavier Delson and Carlech Santiag
Finally, Tango et Kartuma has received the initiative to replace two home drivers with two foreign drivers. The two fortunate clients are now Casarian Xaiver Delson and Krytenian Michale Albinizi. The former is being hired as the secondary driver, and helper to Oscar Phillips, for $5 million Reichmarks over a two year contract, while Albinizi is being hired as the third driver for a $3 million Reichmarks five year contract. Both drivers should see action in the coming race.
In other news, today's victory in Van Luxembourg for Oscar Phillips has risen hopes of a second season victory with all three drivers and the new cars expected to be put out by the company. Tango et Kartuma is also looking for a merger to design the engine of the car, while they are looking for a newer, cheaper, and more advance tire design.

KeFlinger, LeCroix qualify in top 10
James KeFlinger, racing the Dominion colors after a great performance last week outside Villa, placed 4th in qualifying yesterday, placing 1.1 seconds off of leader Oscar Philips of Tango & Karuma in Van Luxemburg. This is the consecutive race in which KeFlinger qualified or placed 4th, and, with all the changes going on in the top and 2 more races left, gives him just a chance at the driver's championship. Twin Crescent Racing is only 7 points behind manufacturer leader Southern Universe GP, which placed racers in the points in four of the last seven races, and established themselves as the team to beat early on.
Although now their chances at a driver championship are low, the odds of a manufacture championship isn't as low - if the drivers sweep the podium, victory is assured.
With good performances in recent weeks (bar LeCroix's early dismissal last week due to undisclosed mechanical issues), that seven point gap isn't insurmountable, and GEM + AE could leave this year with the manufacturers championship, even without a first place win (or even pole) all season.

KeFlinger takes first, LeCroix third, TCR jumps to top in constructors
Twin Crescent Racing, in one swoop, pushed towards a major win, with James KeFlinger winning in Van Luxemburg and Scott LeCroix coming in 3rd, sandwiching T&K driver Oscar Phillips. With the win, TCR took a lead in the constructor
s championship, jumping out with a 9 point lead against Southern Universe GP.
KeFlinger, in an interview after the race, expressed hope in coming away this season with a constructor's title, and even a driver's championship. James KeFlinger is 1 point behind leader Thomas Ragji of Team Rolatia. "If we can repeat a performance like this next week, we have a lock on the championship, and that bodes well for next season. It gives me hope, makes me think this team can be a dominant one in F1GP. I think we got a shot at it too."
With two races left, TCR still could miss out. But if the drivers make the podium the next race, their destiny is in control, and the Championship is guaranteed.
KeFlinger, in a neckbreaking race, took the lead from both Phillips and Ari Morgan of Austin Tickford Racing in a brutal 23 laps in Le Mans, yet managed to sweep both in consecutive laps on powerful runs in the straights; from then on the torque of the car tugged it through the turns for James' 10 second gap to form over Phillip's gold and white auto.
TEAM ROLATIA DOING OK- SRALT OUT, RAGJI STILL LEADING
With Thomas Ragji finishing 19th and William Sralt 11th in another bad race, both the drivers and the teams did not move up in points yet. However, at this crucial stage in the season when minor teams and drivers start to fall from contention, Ragji isi still hanging strong, still leading the Driver's Championship by a microscopic lead. It is easily possible for any of the top five drivers to win, and any driver under 5 points is now eliminated - William Sralt iincluded
On the constructor's championship, anyone with more than two points is in with a chance but Team Rolatia are now in third, two points behind Southern Universe GP and eleven behind Twin Crescent Racing. This is a slightly bad position, but they are still in with a chance. Tonight Thomas Ragji stated "I am having an awful season after a fantastic start - I need to concentrate on the track"
On hearing their rival in Twin Crescent Racing's interview, test driver and newly appointed co-manager of Team Rolatia Nick Fasre stated "Good luck to Twin Crescent Racing. The next race could decide the driver's championship and it should propel TCR to a constructor's championship - a noble endeavour. It all comes down to Thomas Ragji in the end whether we win or lose"

VLT takes 8th, makes first points of the season
Today, on VLT's home circuit, Maurice Grene ended up with 8th position, and took the first points for VLT Automotive this season. we citate Maurice Grene:
"The whole race was going well, and I advanced through the ranks. unfortunately, John broke his engine in lap 5, but I kept going, Pitstops have been done in almost record time, and I haven't missed out from the ideal line."
Sadly enough, Leeds couldn't end up at the finish. In the 5th lap, his engine blew, with devastating results. TRhe car, which already was his back-up vehicle, ended up against a wall and Leeds was taken to hospital, with a broken nose and a whiplash. As of now, Leeds is okay, but not expected to participate in the next race.

RAGJI AND SRALT LOOK FOR TOP 10 FINISH
Thomas Ragji and William Sralt have both announced today they intend to finish within the top 12 for qualifying and the top 10 for the race proper. The pair notched up 8th and 9th in a tough practice session, leading to hopes of one or both drivers gaining points - a much needed prospect for Thomas Ragji, who faces an incredible fight for the championship, and Team Rolatia, who need to rescue hopes of a constructor's championship

LeCroix Places 1st, TCR takes 11 point constructor's lead
Scott LeCroix, racing in Sonic the Hedgehogs and carrying the wieght of KeFlinger's late leave in the race, put his car to 1st, and moving Twin Crescent Racing a full race victory and one point ahead of the next competitor, Southern Universe and Team Rolatia, both tied at 38 points. ROLATIA QUALIFY WELL - CAN THEY WIN IT?
William Sralt and Thomas Ragji of Team Rolatia have both managed to get a high standing today in qualifying, ranking 1st and 4th respectively. This has lead to rumours that Team Rolatia could win the Constructor's and Ragji the Driver's making a supreme combo for the Rolatians in this, the first international F1 GP. Thomas Ragji stated "We have a good chance today of keeping us in with a good chance of a double"
SLIGHTLY DISAPPOINTING RESULTS IN RACE - RAGJI LEADS AGAIN
After a promising start to the race, Thomas Ragji and William Sralt slipped to tird and fifth respectively. However, they have still kept Team Rolatia mathmetically in the Constructor's Championship and secured the lead to four points for the Driver's Championship - vital for Ragji who needs to get on the podium next race for at least a guaranteed tied win. Thomas Ragji stated later "I'm still in it. I may cruelly lose at the last minute - who knows? - but at least I know I almost won the first season"

Leeds retruns, grabs 1st place
In the trainings at the GP of Casari, John Leeds, who had been in hospital for the last race, got the 1st place in the training, with a time of 103.050.
This time is about 0.084 seconds faster than the 2nd, Mike Daniels of LivEng Racing. John Leed: "I didn't thought that it would develop so well after my visit to hospital. I expected to be hanging on the back somewhat, but my car just kept on going, and when I saw the time, I was surprised. I hope I can reach first place in the actual race aswell.
Maurice Grene was also not unsatisfied with his 8th position, once again with a LivEng racer behind him. Tango et Kartuma, one of the leading teams, ended up before him, with Xavier Delson. Maurice Grene commented that he hopes they can keep the positions they have now, till in the actual race.

DOUBLE IN SIGHT FOR TEAM ROLATIA
With today's qualifying session, Thomas Ragji has secured a good fourth. Of his competitors, they came 17th, 10th, 15th, 2nd and 3rd. So Ragji appears to have little to feat from the top-end of his competitors. In the Constructor's Championship, 10th and 15th for Twin Crescent and 16th and 17th for Southern Universe could mean Rolatia take both championships, especially if Sralt climbs to nail a point or two.
However, it's not over yet.
Oscar Phillips and Blake Tomay are lagging 6 and 7 points behind Ragji respectively. If Ragji scores 5 or more points tomorrow, he's quite safe considering his other comptetior's disappointing runs - however, it could be a close-run thing with his loss at the last minute. In the Constructor's, they'll require 12 points - Sralt will have to get 6th or so and Ragji a podium finish at least.
However, right now the whole of the country are gripped. Tomorrow has been declared a national holiday and approximately over 300 million Rolatians will be tuning in to the huge race at Casari that could bring the country sporting pride so shortly after breaking onto the international sporting scene. Even the Prime Minister will be watching - he will be dismissing Parliament for the day. Thomas Ragji stated last night "I have an excellent chance of taking home the top prize in Formula 1 - and who knows, maybe even the second-best prize as well?"

Maurice Grene 24th, John Leeds on comeback
Maurice grene, the surprising eighth of the trainings, qualified 24th today, because of a missed corner, in which he shortly hit the dirt, and then returned back on track. This however costed hism several seconds, preventing him from being first.
John Leeds, the 1st of the trainings, now hit the 7th position, with techniccally good driving. His skills have seemed to be improving since his return from hospital, said one of the leading figures in the VLT Team.

Anxious Wait for TCR
Team in a collective anxiety for final race
Twin Crescent Racing, in yesterday's qualifying session in Casari for the final race in this year's F1GP series, watched drivers James KeFlinger and native Scott LeCroix anxiously during practice and qualifying. Despite podium-worthy times two days ago during practice, both drivers only made midpack times for final qualifying; apparently a trend with Twin Crescent's conservative race philosophy (born from DPS). Announcements made by both drivers also stated the usual high fuel load for their lagged times, however, in an odd twist, LeCroix made a case of nerves known, outing on the grass twice during practice and nearly losing it on the Canada corner in qualifying.
"It's tough to race in your home country, knowing that everyone's watching and wanting you to win. It's even worse with a team like mine, where, down the stretch, everything is on the line. I don't want to let [new technical director Natanial] Juarez down, I don't want to let [team president Gladen] Micheals down, not the fans, not my family. And it brings such a load to your shoulders."
Despite the pressure, LeCroix managed to spot 5 places higher than teammate KeFlinger, who was qouted after last week's podium as "dying for another win."

Van Luxemburg 12th, Maurice Grene hits 17th
After the Last race, in Casari, Maurice Grene ended up 21st, and John Leeds hit the 13th position, The Grand Duke's lucky number. VLT ended up in the Constructors Championship as 12th, And Maurice Grene made it to 17th position in the Drivers Championship. This makes a bad season good for VLT. VLT however has announced to stop with F1GP for some time, to prepare for a next season, "Somewhere in the future".
