Stuart ran his eyes with interest over the email he had recieved from Nedalia.

FROM: Randa Holcomb, Ministry of Foriegn Investment, the Free Land of Nedalia
TO: Stuart Bell, H & D Construction Incorporated
SUBJECT: Re:

Greetings from Nedalia. I have just received the letter from H&D, and I was encouraged by what I read. Indeed, there is no doubt about it, the Tramonte Project is large...massive, if you will. Your proposition to meet up and discuss business face to face is a most excellent one, and I have already made arrangements for your delegation to fly into Kafra International Airport. Your accomodation will be in President Bren's guesthouses, more superior than any 5-star accomodation.

Although the President is currently at the Strategic Defence League HQ just south of Kafra and is unavailable, I will be accessible to your delegation during you stay in Kafra, and will have full power to act and take decisions. Perhaps, if all goes well, I can tempt you to fly into the Western Territories and see where Tramonte will be built first hand.

For now, I hope all is well, and that you get to Kafra safely.

Signed,

Randa Holcomb

"Hm," was the only response he could draw to that. Certainly, it was a positive response; one that he was quite certain that it was possible, if not definite that the sale would be closed. Still, constructing something such as the "Tramonte Project"--a city from ground up and to house something to the total of Nine Million, was insane enough. And for his interest to add "The Clause", he wondered exactly as to how things would turn. Nevertheless, however, there was still nothing stopping him from at least asking, and putting said proposition unto the table.

He sent something short in response, nothing fancy.

I'll be there.

Or something to that effect.

Short and to the point, thought Randa Holcomb to herself. Well, atleast their coming.

The reputation of the Austar Union preceded them, and Holcomb had heard alot of their companies. She carefully stroked her hair back and chewed on her pen, before finally picking up the phone.

"Yes, Ghandar? Hi...listen, I need you to relay this message to the President. Yes, its of vital importance. No, he wont fire you, tell him I demanded it. You ready? Tell him we've got some interest Tramonte, and a company from the Austar Union will be flying into Kafra to meet with me soon. For god's sakes, Ghandar, no he will not be angry and kabab your head over a fire."

She hung up the phone, slightly irritated with the new aide. He was good bloke, but he just tried too hard to impress, and was always worried that people weren't taking to him. He seemed obsessed with the idea of never butting heads with anyone, and couldnt work without instruction. He did his job well though, and Randa felt a tinsy bit of pity for him.

So the delegation is coming, she continued to think. I wonder what they expect?

The truth of the matter was, the Tramonte Project was huge, some saying it was even unfeasible. The Nedalian government were talking about contructing a city which could house 9 million people from the ground up. Holcomb wondered what part of the construction would the Austar Unionans deal with. Maybe they would help with the sewage systems? Maybe they were thinking about developing real estate property along the banks of the Wataniyah Lake? Perhaps it was to involve a subway system...Maybe it was all those things. Holcomb came back from her daydream and began her preparations.

Ding Dong. "This is your Captain speaking..."

Stuart's attention faded quickly, he had heard said lines over and over again. Having flown around the world and back, a Captain's voice now had the unfortunate (or fortunate) effect of almost putting him to sleep. Funnily enough, some actually envied him for it--he on the other hand would rather not. Airline pretzels; at least those from the Union; were not to be missed. And leaning to one side with head rested upon console left unattractive creases in one's face. Besides, this was a business venture. Not a picnic with the wife and kids.

In the meantime, the flight to Nedelia was relatively short. He had chosen somewhat of an older aircraft to fly in, still first class all the same. And although said technology mightn't have been quite the same as what he was used to, it was still relatively better than most of those who considered themselves decently modern.

Stepping off the plane was a simple affair also, and following the instructions given was even easier. Coupling those taken from the Nedelian Ministry of Foriegn Investment with the unfathomable wealth of information on the nation's recently installed BetaNet; it was a matter of watching one's location on what would be normally known as the 'GPS', and then following the relative paths and directions shown on his handheld display. A hardcopy map on the other hand; in his experience they were useless as hell. Still, with those who actually prefered to use them, he had no gripe with. Everyone unto his own, was a well known saying within the Union. And citizens--most citizens, appreciated exersizing his or her civil liberties, even how stupid they might seem to others. Rediculous even, given other option.

Stuart mused to himself.

Hailing down a taxi, he read the address out to him, of which the man seemed to understand with relative ease. There was no issue with the language barrier as he had feared, and now that he had moved from airline to said automotive vehicle, he could relax in the fact that he was well on his way, well on time. Stuart checked his watch; well on time indeed.

Holcomb looked at her watch; the Austar Union representative should be arriving any minute. The Presidential Mansion was excessively plush (the Nedalians had a thing for luxury), and it would be the site where the meeting would take place. The President himself had told Holcomb to use the Mansion, even though he wasnt going to be there himself.

She looked out of the window...sunshine, and not a cloud in the sky. Typical Nedalian weather. Kafra had undergone some excessive rebuilding these past few years, but nothing compared to what the Tramonte Project was proposing. She hoped the meeting would go well; after all, the Austar Union was known for its phenomenal technology and sound economy. In the distance, a yellow taxi turned the corner and approached the gate.
