...the government of Semirhage has within just a few weeks given into madness, with the election of Sophia Moss as the heir to the Pacifist Republic created by Preston Wallace this woman has created a nation of paranoia fueled by partiotism. The government hasn't legalized weapons or deadly force... yet. But small bands of mobs are attacking anyone they feel is going against the "Glory of the Most Serene Republic". Good God I have to get out of this insane asylum...

The Presidium of the Senate Brian Perry called the Senate to order and indroduced the Prime Designate Sophia Moss, the Head of State and Government of Semirhage.
Sophia smilled made what many would call her most important speech in her carrer.
It was an hour long so I won't bother you with the details, but the essence was a request to the Senate to legalize Deadly Weapons for the Police Force and the formation of a "People's Army" to defend the nation from invasion by remnants of the old Imperial Families of the Two Kingdoms that had ruled before the birth of the Republic.
Using her wondorus talents as an orator Sophia managed to convince the Senate to draft a bill to declare null and void the Policy of Pacifism that had kept all weapons out of Semirhage for over 25 years.
"Times are going to change," the Presidium thought to himself as the Senate rose to give the Prime Designate a standing ovation.
"So this is how democracy falls," one of the Presidium's aides thought to himself as he watched the Senate betray the very heart of Semirhage and all that it stood for, "to the sound of thunderous applause"
