In the sprawling metropolis Atrox City, danger is a part of life. The streets are full of gangs, the local police is full of corruption, and over three quarters of the nearly one million people are poor. The wealthy in Atrox live live of luxury, so long as they stay on the good side of the CEOs of D. Corp.

In this city of desperation and cruelty, a madman seeks to unleash total chaos. The only thing that stands in his way is a lone group of heroes hired by The Slayer Project.

Intrigued? I hope so. This will be a serious Super Hero RP. You may have one hero or one villain or both.

Name: Jezebel Sarrow
Aka: Agent Jezebel

Affiliation: Good
Abilities: Enhanced reflexes, speed, and strength
Weakness: Normal human weaknesses
Bio: A Full-blood demon with seven generations of non-human breeding, Jezebel is about as close to Pure-blood as you can get without actual having the royal blood. Growing up parentless with her twin brother, Simon, made her strong willed and unforgiving. She enjoys her job a little more than she should and is known for using excessive force.

Affiliation: Good...ish
Abilities: Can pass through solid objects such as walls, pavement, and bullets
Weakness: Cannot pass through energies such as electricity, fire, and explosions
Bio: While coming home from a party with his girlfriend, Joshua was caught in a gang shootout. His car careened off the road and flipped. The near death experience left Joshua with the ability to phase between astral and physical forms. Now, armed with swords, guns, and whatever else he decides to use, he fights the crime that almost took his life.

Aka: Dr. Wolf
Age: 56
Affiliation: Evil
Abilities: Werewolf
Weakness: Normal human weaknesses
Bio: A renowned chemist, Dr. Snider was attacked by a wolf while on vacation. When he first began to transform, William worked franticly to try and concoct a cure. Finding non, he instead began to create serums to increase his own strength, including one that made him immune to silver. His only mission now is to make the world suffer as he does.

Aka: Gel
Age: 27
Affiliation: Evil
Abilities: Shape shifting
Weakness: Can only shift into things with the same mass as her.
Bio: Dr. Snider’s closest assistant and mistress, Rebecca was exposed to quite a few of the doctor’s failed experiments. Over time, she gained the ability to alter her appearance and transform into an amorphous blob.

This sign up will remain open for a few days. I’m looking for the best five or six heroes and five or six villains. I will post suggestions and/or questions from time to time in order to understand your characters better. Thank you.

Characters can have any powers, as long as they have an easily exploited weakness. Professor X would be on the line and Superman's definatly out. Depending on how unique the needed weapon is, Highlander might be okay.

powers: Phasing (To pass through things and for things to pass through him, yep that one) and minor telekinisis (Nuts, bolts, coins etc)

Age: Forgotten, but he remembers somthing about Sherlock Holmes....
Affliation: On average seen as good, but he is often mistrusted as his methods and theories are occasionally less than saintly. A detective cynical personality.
Build: Comparativley slender compared to say superman, more of a flash's build since he doesn't rely as heavily on physical combat, even though it is a significant part of his style.
Style: No recognised form, but does not seem to be too advanced as he relies on his phasing to allow blows to pass through him, then solidify to attack with a blur of punches of kicks.
Weakness: He has become familiar enough with his gifts for the brief moment of solidity when he attacks physically not to be too much of a weakness, he has found however electriciy can affect him equally when he is phased in or out.

Special abilities: Minor ability to alter reality, stronger/faster/tougher than appearence indicates.
Weaknesses: Very short attention span, can be harmed in normal fashion
Weapons: Retractable claws/fingernails, teeth, what-ever's handy.
Background: Niri, as tradition for her people, has begun wander, looking for an Adventure. Until such time as she has had a proper Adventure, she may not return home, and thus can be quite odd, and irrational at times.
Behavior: Ni-Fel have, at times been compared to humming-birds on a sugar rush, inveriably, the humming-birds are offended by this comparison.
Affiliation: Good
Has a semi-intelligent, companions, akin to a six-legged mountain lion.

ooc: * Ni-Fel, are what many would consider 'demons', thought they are simply a race that grows in power/strength ect, but not wisdom/maturity as they age and thus are generally unwelcome, as they do a tend to leave a path of destruction/chaos in thier wakes.

He is only out for his own profit and does not care about anyone who gets in the way.

Ability: Trained Assasin, Minor Magic abilities based mostly on electric and fire elements. (IE: Lightning Bolt, Fireballs)
Weakness: While he may seem cold and emotionless, A smart Woman would know how to completely destroy him.
Bio: After being disillusioned by his best friend, and faciltating the complete destruction of his homeland, Matakarma, Oddler now wanders the world, seeking out and destroying whomever he decides deserves it... But this cursory explanation of his motives only begins to scratch the surface
Physical Features: An fight with his best friend left a massive scar through his Right Eye (Hence the name), it also left a sizeable hole in his friend's stomach 6'2" 167 pounds, Purple Hair.
Other: Rides a Giro Scooter, which uses new breakthroughs in gyro scope balance to allow it to move at otherwise completely unsafe speeds, can also glide across water for short periods of time.

Bio: This Matakarman Orphan only realized his heritage a few years ago, from astrange lady who called herself "Mitula," He is the illegitamate son of the Assasinated Matkarman Lord Commander Benin Samoht, and his sercetary. He has taken it upon himself to embrace his Heritage, taking the title of Baron, he went back to the ruined land, and found Benin's Private Vault, in the ruins that Mitula had told him about.
Physical Features: Long, well groomed Goatee, and luxourious flowing blond hair. 5' 11' 140 Lbs, wheres a trench coat, and carries a cane carved out of Ivory, which is the sheath for a sword, a sword made out of Manufactured diamond.
Other: he loves the ladies, and the ladies love him.

Everyone still looks good. We need two heroes and four villians. I have a few questions:

Abilities: Enhanced speed, reactions, strength. Can control his chains. Can use voice to persuade people (think Saruman). Hover.

Bio:
Varyss Corporation has made Paul Varyss exceedingly wealthy through his exploitation of others. Suddenly able to have everything he desires, his search of self-gratification rapidly became out of hand, leading to use of experimental recreational drugs. One of these was what caused his mutations and allowed him manipulation of metals formed into chains and links.

After falling victim to the lures of recreational drugs, and after the effects of the mutating drug, the Chained Ace began buying up pushers and pimps, slowly working to gain control over large elements of the criminal underworld in order to fuel his addiction, and to gain control over others. Although Varyss Corporation has a host of security people, they stick to their everydays jobs. For his more discreet business, Varyss uses addicts and victims from the streets and backalleys.

Always careful to keep his reputation as an honest if ruthless businessman, Varyss has never allowed even the slightest link to appear between Paul Varyss and the Chained Ace. While the Chained Ace is the manipulative hand behind many of the city's dispossed and criminals, the CEO and owner of Varyss Corporation donates to charities, funds disease research projects and is a prominant social figure.

Okay! Four villains, four heroes, and one other possible member. I’m going to hold out a little longer. I’d really like to get six heroes before we start this.

I won't go overboard. lol It's not like I plan to have Darth Visas lead her allies into a good guys laid trap and then turn her back on them, saying, "Hey, it's not my problem you're all S.O.L. (S**t Outta Luck), shoulda paid more attention to what's happening around you."

Of course, she'd never do anything like that. :D And as her player, I'd never advocate such a gross betrayal of any ally of a Sith. :P Truuuusssst meeee....

Appearence: Walks around in a white cloak with black trim. Carries a sword. Long, messy, drak grey hair. pitch black eyes. wraps his black wings around himself under claok so they do not draw attention to him.
Abilities: Slight Precognition gives the apperence of fast reflexes, Super-human hearing, Has wings and can fly, Developing psychokinesis
Weakness: Blind, normal human weaknesses, psychokinesis not yet controlable, flight is limited (more of a 'double jump' than acctual flying)
Bio: After a long line of inter breeding, Cylaen is the product of demons and angels who have bread with humans. This unfortunate disposition has left him completly blind. He uses his ears and 'sixth sence' to know his surroundings. His parents were killed when he was five and he was forced by his envronment to develope early. Because of crime and the differences between the races, children have been abandoned on the street. Cylaen devoted himself to running an orphanage until it was burned down recently by an unknown arsen. All of the children died. Enraged, Cylaen roams the streets distroying anyone he thinks unholy, looking for his purpose in life

Bio: A half-breed demon. Abandoned as a child, Kev was left on the steet to fend for himself. he became extremely good at stealing. preferss to be alone, but is for hire as an expert thief. Moonlights as an assasin. He will do any job for a price.

Bio: Tommy is one man best described by one word. 'Pervert.' Although he is perverted in every sense of the word(He is infamous for causing girl's skirts to fly up with his Telekinesis), he is a kind hearted man, and believes in justice and protecting the weak at all costs. His family history is one full of Psychics, and the last thing anyone wants a pervert to have is Telekinesis.
Tommi is a follower of an anicent style of swordplay, passed down through each generation of his family. He perfers his sword over modern guns, and his innate Psychic abilities assist him in his battles against those who would opress the weak.

how did i know that that would come up? anyway, loki has existed across many religious boundaries. my favorite (which is marked as the original) is Loki, God of Fire from the norse religions. he ransacked the world, pillaging and burning cities for pleasure. also he was a trickster and a tempter. Loki was prophesized to be the instigator of Ragnarok, the fall of Asgard and the old Gods and the rise of the new age of peace and love (he appears as a bad guy, but brings about good change). the name has blended into ther religions as a destroyer or as a trickster. The angel labled as the catholic angel of death is usually Azreal (who was also in dogma). But i just like the name loki better. there's a long story behind it. but this is just soes you know i know what i'm talking about, and not just some movie fanboy :P

Yes, but my reference was specifically referring to the label of Loki as "Angel of Death", whereas that designation only applies to Dogma.

In other forms Loki has crossed numerous religious and mythological boundaries (and even different roles in the same culture), but not as Angel of Death.

Slightly. Most of the demons in Atrox have humanoid forms. Niri would seem odd, but not completely out of place.

That’s probably a good idea.

Atrox City is similar to New York in appearance. The skies are significantly smoggier and Atrox is much larger- almost the size of Rhode Island. Nearly every building claws to the sky. The city is built around and run by D Corp.; a massive corrupt corporation which makes the rich richer at the expense of the innumerable poor. The city is diverse, both in race and species, though humans are the most common.

There are numerous sections in Atrox, most of which will not be a part of this RP. The largest and most important ones include:

The Docks: The eastern city limits are the ocean, making The Docks a major business area. It is also a hotbed for organized crime, despite D Corp.’s massive crusade to eliminate it’s competition.

The Slums: There are numerous slums around Atrox, each named by the people who live there. Though the names change, the scene is pretty much the same in all of them: dirty, loud, and dangerous. Jezebel grew up in a particularly nasty slum named The Blood Sector.

Grand Central: This is where Atrox’s upper class live. It is also, incidentally, the location of D Corp. HQ. The streets are clean, the gardens are alive, and keeping up with the Johnsons is the main concern.

The Halo: The ring surrounding Grand Central where the middle class struggle to stay above poverty. Crime gets progressively worse as one moves further out from Grand Central. This is where Crusader lived and the location of Dr. Wolf’s lab. There are other middle class neighborhoods around the city, this is just the largest one.

There will be better descriptions of these places as the RP moves into them.

In that case, with your permission I'll have Varyss Corporation a tributary company to D Corp (still a private enterprise, but one that manufactures with and around D Corp), with the Chained Ace controlling most of the Slums thorugh manipulation of pimps, pushers and reliants - trying to extend into the Docks (to give him a motive for bumbling around).

Okay, just be aware that moving into the docks would be extreamly difficult and dangerous. D Corp. isn't the only one who hates competition...
