The Written Laws of the Holy Catholic Monarchy of Cherry Ridge

Therefore recognising our right to have a Catholic nation, just as other faiths have theirs, we hereby offer these written laws to guide our nation.

Overture
We the subjects of the monarchy, and laymen of the Catholic Church, do hereby present this law for all men of the world to see. This nation is first a Catholic nation, in union with the See of Rome.

Article One- Patrons of the Nation
This nation shall be one nation, under the Lord Jesus Christ, through the Church. Our Lady, Mary, the Mother of God, shall be called Queen of this nation. We also place this nation under the protection of Saint Michael.

Article Two-Royalty
This nation is a Monarchy. All nations should have a single person representing the nation. The Monarchy shall be hereditary. His relatives will be the nobility, and only the King can remove them from office.

Article Three- Authority of the People
The People of this nation shall have the authority to protect their families, their nation, their diocese, their parish, and their neighbors from all threats.

Article Four- Rights of the Church
The Church may have a representative at all government functions. A church representative shall open all government meetings, and end them, with a prayer. The Church may have a representative at all negotiations with foriegn countries. The Church will run all government schools. The archbishop shall advise the military on moral matters.

All will stand and kiss the hand of the bishop or priest when he enters any gathering to show that the priest is higher in dignity than anyone else, even the King, as he stands in the place of Christ. This will be the custom of the Nation.

Article Five- Rights of the King
The King will be crowned by the Holy Father and will hold his office for life. His children shall inherit his office. In the case where he has no children, the nearest male relative shall assume office. His wife shallb e called the "Queen", and his mother will rule in place of the King if he is too young to assume office. The King will be King by divine right and his authority will be treated with the respect due to a man appointed by God. He shall be aloud to make ROyal Decrees, becoming laws.
He shall represent the nation in all events, though may appoint a stand in to represent him when he is not in attendance. He is the supreme commander of the military, internal security forces, and shall have the power to declare war. He can create and dissolve any government body, except the monarchy, which only the Church can dissolve.

Article Six- The Nobility
The nobility shall perform such duties that the King sees fit.

Article Seven- The Courts
The courts shall be created by the knig, and shall act in his name at all criminal trials and civil hearings. They can be dissolved at the King's will.

Article Eight- Profession of Faith
This nation professes one God, in three persons. We beive in Holy Scripture and Tradition as interperted by the Holy Catholic Church.

Article Nine- Right to Life
All crimes of murder are against the law of this Nation, including the murder of unborn children from the moment of conception. Unnatural birth control shall be trated the same as illegal drugs. From the moment of conception, the child shall have the same rights as all other ciitzens of the nation.[/ Self defence goes as far as to stop the attacker from aggression. This nation shall keep Holy Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation, as that keeps us spiritually alive.

Article Ten- Homosexuality
Homosexual acts are illegal.

Article Eleven- Colonisation
Any colony of this nation, and its citizens, shall have the same rights as any other part of the nation, unless under marshal law.

Article Twelve- Citizens Rights
All citizens have the same rights. Any person born in this nation shall automaticly become a citizen. Immigrants, if they become citizens, are afforded the same rights as natural born citizens.
