ooc: Well, since Melkor has decided to burn all bridges and take private disagreements to all manner of public forums (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=9806843&postcount=83) rather than discuss rationally after having been told I didn’t feel like rp’ing with him -right now- (key words, those) given previous insulting, hurtful, and demeaning comments he had made, and rather needing more than a ‘hey I’m sorry – now, in spite of me leaving this for months and holding you and everyone else involved up on account – wanna write?’ before just jumping right back on the bandwagon … looks like I get to figure out where to go from here as well. Yes, that was one hell of a run-on, thanks.
His choice - not going to accept blame on this one after him cutting out with a rather firm and repeated ‘go fuck yourself’. Yes, I’d asked to try and get some numbers together after months and months of him just letting things sit while he spent his time playing other games and hanging out in the General forum. Before this could happen, there were a couple of rather unpleasant exchanges where I took about all the insults I cared to from him, with the eventual apologies from the first incident being framed in ‘sorry, but’ phrases, which I chose to accept in the interest of possibly salvaging. Then he took things up a notch when he didn’t immediately get what he wanted, in spite of being quite capable of writing a bit of war without me, which leads one to speculate whether or not the apology was inspired from a true desire to reconcile, or just so he could move his story on now that he’s ready again – especially after going so far out of his way to publicize all of this, and go to others rather than try and work it out behind the scenes, where it belongs.
I don’t feel the need to get into details, but suffice it to say, it isn’t about the timing, it isn’t over someone else or on account of them – it’s him and his words and attitudes towards me, no more, no less. Continued disrespect and sarcasm in posted statements only illustrates his lack of concern about anything in this but himself and his story, and to hell with the rest. The fact he hasn’t bothered to ask, and chose to end it the way he did speaks volumes. So be it.
I don’t want anyone else to act poorly on my behalf, and I certainly do not want anyone else changing their rp plans with him on account. That would really be poor form, and I would be quite put out. This does seem to limit my choices in moving forward, so I’m going to do the best I can, and figure some way to salvage a couple good years of building stories. Damn shame it has to go down this way when all that was required was a bit of patience, and possibly a touch of accountability on his part.
Will be posting once I come up with a more solid idea of where I’m going. And I’m going on record asking that NO ONE, Melk included, post any bitchiness or pity posts here. I wouldn’t have even posted this at all myself if he hadn’t posted his crap to begin with. Don’t feel I need to sit and be disrespected like that more without at least answering. Going to be ic from here on out. Any such posts, in support or not, no matter who you are, will be reported for deletion as unwanted spam. Want to complain? Take it to me on IRC, or your blogs/live journals/private sites where you can rant to your heart's content.
I'll also eventually move this somewhere else, leave a link, and replace it with an IC post. Thanks.
