Siesatia

Although for the most part, Indran civilization had disappeared, artifacts had survived. Sensor ghosts could still be seen from the hidden Temporal Observatory from time to time, and the Phaeralon Command Flagship, the Aurora, that was captured by Siesatia almost 300 years ago. That acquisition had allowed the nation a tremendous boost in temporal technology, allowing them a guide of sorts to the construction of their own versions; in fact, several ships were directly descended from that very ship.
It was still considered an unfortunate accident that the Indran civilization had been eradicated in whatever fashion they had. The Unified Worlds had taken it upon itself to scan some of the nearby territories for activities… Every once in a while a smaller nation sent a few salvage ships to find some piece of technology or some rare mineral. Siesatia upheld their allies’ territory by chasing them out. It rarely ever made any trips inside the territory itself, there was no need, if anything of interest popped up, it would be detected by the Temporal Observation Facility on Terra’s Second Moon.
If anything interesting were detected, Temporal Salvage Teams, specialized teams created for the specific purpose of salvaging Indran technology, would be dispatched to ‘Protect it against potentially dangerous enemies of both ESUS and the Indran Empire.’ This was essentially a mandate of ‘If we see it, it’s ours.’ Under direct presidential order, all Indran technology found was to be locked away in Sector 29, an area of space only accessible through a specific corridor which was almost impossible to get to unless you knew exactly how to. Here sat the Aurora, and several other odds and ends, everything from debris to chunks of refined metal.
Meanwhile, new sensors were being put in place to track any trails or emissions matching Indran Power Sources or engines. It was supposed to the first step to either confirming or dissuading the theory that pockets of the civilization might still exist in or near their massive ancient territory.
It was however known that larger nations were interested in the acquisition of Indran technology; even ESUS nations might feel the need to salvage some of the rare commodity. In fact, the metal compound that powered their technology, known as Managranite to the Siesatians, was worth entire systems per gram due to its scarcity. This metal, when used in conjunction with temporal weapons and other systems, was rumored to be able to boost performance exponentially.
Something with that powerful allure would eventually draw forces like moths to a candle…
An alarm sounded in the Temporal Incursion Headquarters. The Temporal Observatory had detected temporal activity inside Indran Space. This meant one of two things… Either Indran ships were active inside their territory, which meant a fleet had to be sent to reestablish contact… or that non Indran ships were in the territory, and a fleet had to be sent to either escort them out, or eliminate them.
“What do you mean a small fleet?” Fleet Admiral Ulayla Syphera asked impatiently as the officer before her informed her of the news.
“A fleet of vessels were detected inside Indran space, we have yet to ascertain their origin, but we believe them to be temporal powered.”
“Which means that it could be the Indran’s themselves…” she mused… “Organize the 1st Temporal Incursion Fleet, and initiate a code Blue 3 in all local bases on that side. Code Blue 1 in all the core bases.” She said, before signing off several of the documents with a flourish of a claw over the DNA reader on the electronic pad.
The fleet orders were compiled, and received congressional support only 2 minutes after they were received. Indra Prime had become a cult following, the obsession with the fact that such a large nation had virtually disappeared was astounding, causing a mix of emotions. Not to mention a mass movement of salvage ships towards the new market, hoping to sell the government everything Indran, from subspace transmissions salvaged from some remote portion of the universe, to radiation soaked rocks. The government bought it all, there were currently several terabytes of subspace records, most in code, stored in the computers. It was in the best interests of the administration to allow the fleet to go unhindered…
The first fleet consisted of the best and brightest, including the Freestar VII, the massive Carrier/Dreadnaught which was the nation’s premiere fighting vessel. At almost 45 Kilometers, it was indeed, the largest vessel ever constructed by the Siesatian navy, and was so expensive to run; it usually sat unused, charging its Dimensional batteries.
The rest of the fleet was a smattering of Battleships, and even the formidable Alamo Avenger class Battle cruiser. Even now, it was headed towards the unknown fleet, whether it is to reestablish contact with the Indran Empire, or to ‘escort’ an enemy fleet from their borders.
OOC: Dum Dum DUUUUMMM!!!! Stay tuned kids, until next time!
