OOC: In this RP you get to play a God or Goddess character (take one from myths or make one up)... I'll give the bare bones of a story but it's up to everyone involved to develop it.

This is what your God Character Stats should have.

Name:
God Of: (what does your God have dominon over)
Symbol(s): (If any)
Bio:
Description:

Heres Mine

Name: Morgion

God of: Decay and Plague

Bio: Morgion is the god of decay in all its forms, including such things as plague and pestilence, rust, and madness. He wishes to see all things wither away into decadence, and for mortals to suffer as much as possible prior to going on to the next stage of their soul's journey.

He lives keeps to himself in the Bronze Tower at the edge of reality but rumors are spreading among the gods that Morgion is up to something...

Description: Morgion has the apperance of someone once beautiful but is now pockmarked, covered in scars, half-rotting, and wears tattered black robes and wears a black hood over his head so rarely one sees anything but his glowing red eyes.

Symbols: A crowned hood with two red eyes, and a constellation called the Diseased Hood

OOC: Here is the start of the RP

IC:

The Bronze Tower: Edge of Reality

Morgion stared out his home in the Bronze Tower at the Universe at large, this place of purity and so-called joy. It was enough to make him sick (pun intended). But soon things might get more interesting.

"I have spent too much time isolated from events." this god of darkness thought as he watched a galaxy be born from the bones of one he destroyed long ago. "It's time to change that, it's time I gain power, and converts. Converts who will be dying to see me"

Morgion then vanished from the Bronze Tower.

Earth

The Cult of the God of Disease was spreading, men and women were dying in droves of a new illness that seemed to have no cure. Even those who seemed to survive seemed almost as if the virus was only held off by an "other" force for it's own purpous.

Most learned too late that the people who were surviving had made a dark pact with an evil god called Morgion, and those who converted were now part of his Cult.

Plague walked the Earth in physical form and hope itself seemed to die.

But the Gods of Earth were making plans.

No, I don't think so.

Name:Nexlon

God Of:Flora

Symbol(s): An oak tree with five branches

Bio:A mysterious individual, Nexlon guides the growth of plants and trees. He is withdrawn and rarely talks, but always speaks wisely. Nexlon wanders from forest to forest and crop to crop, checking to see if every plant he passes is healthy.

Description:Usually seen as a blind, green-robed man carrying a bamboo walking stick, but sometimes emerges as a fearsome forest elemental.

OOC: Thanks

IC: Morgion stood before his followers in all his horrid glory, men and women who all would of died of the "Boro" Virus that he had unleashed but now owed their very existances (and souls) to the God of Disease and Decay.

"You, who turned to me first of your kind who now worship me shall become the first of my new Priesthood!" His Dark Majesty said from within His hood, his flamming red eyes glowwed like hot coals.

"We hear and obey," the new Priests intoned in extacy-filled voices, "We are your slaves, we shall spread decay and disease in Your Majesties Honor. Our lives and souls are yours for all eternity."

"Good," the dark God said in a voice to suck the very life out of reality, "Now go, spread misery to the world until it is in my service!"

Then Morgion vanished.

But the new Priests spread around the world like one of the God's plagues and the Dark Cult grew.

Morgion was rising.

This would be a bad year for the farms.

It took a while to notice; the passing of time was not always so Obvious to Nexlon. Like an old oak, he decided to weather the storm. These kinds of things happened all the time; waiting it out would be the best decision. Sadly, Morgion disagreed.

Black priests soon started spreading throught the land, spreading death and drought to Nexlon's beloved plants. Entire forests started to decay. Of course, the natural defences of these forests engulfed large amounts of Dark Agents, but there were always more who would come to finish the job. This was not something that the forests alone could handle.

Thus, for the first time in a thousand years, Nexlon called upon his forces of Flora; great oak giants, thorn elementals, swarms of living vine, walls of moss, even the very trees aswered the call. Each blade of grass was a weapon, each brach a deadly hammer. The army of forest creatures was small, but formidable.

Humans, too, answered the call. Fighting only with Bamboo poles and staffs, a small force of warrior-monks came forward at the call of Flora god. They would fight to the death to defend thier forest homes from any who threatened it. The time would soon come for a battle, and death would not prevail this time.

Morgion would not be denyed his place in the world. The God of Decay streched forth his left arm and from a piece of his rotting flesh made his constellation of The Diseased Hood visible in the night sky.

And with his voice that rocked the stars themselves the Lord of Plague roared, "Nexlor! Come forth and face me! Face the God of Decay and Disease or allow the world to fall under my sway!"

Morgion red eyes blazed like twin stars in the comming dark of night.

God Of: The Sun, fire, life, and their opposites

Symbol(s): A Sun-in-glory, a six pointed swirled sun on a blue field

Bio: Defender of Karse, he was the god that created the light to lead the Karsites to safety, now his high priests are corrupt and venal, and he suspects another gods influence has affected their actions.

Description: 4 incarnations, a medium height boy of about 9 years, with pale blonde hair and green eyes, known as the Child of the Morning, a young man of about 20, tall and well muscled, with bright red hair and brown eyes, known as the Youth of Noon, a man of middling age, but still not truly old, perhaps 30 years old, brown haired and blue eyed, the most common face of the Sunlord, known as the Man of Evening, an ancient man swathed in dark robes, with red eyes and no hair, seemingly skeletal beneath the robes that conceal the body, known simply as He who Calls.

IC:

"Morgion, Nexlor may not face you, but I will." The voice came from a black swathed figure in the darknewss behind the God of Decay, Vkandis Sulord in his Incarnation as He Who Calls, or to some other religions, Death, he weilded no scythe, but he had no need to, he was much more dangerous than any simple reaper, and he was angry...

OOC: Morgion isn't the God of Death, just the instruments of death (Decay, Plague, etc)

IC: The Lord of Decay turned to face this new threat, his constellation shinned with a putrid green light. Morgion's hood fell away to reveal a face, once the most beautiful all gods, now ravaged by fungus and flesh eating disease was revealed in all it's hideous glory. Morgion red eyes blazed like twin stars of doom.

"Then let us fight." Morgion said in a rage filled roar. The Lord of Disease had no weapons in his hands for his true weapon was every illness to exist in creation, of course that wouldn't work on a God...

"You have corrupted my priests, you will pay dark one..." The form in view shifted to that of the Youth, here was a fighter, gird in Loricated Plate and carrying a sword and shield, he was the face of vengeance and wrath, as well as the face of growth and renewal, the face of destruction and creation, contradictions in his every form, he manifested the extremes of his attributes as well as the more positive attributes.

This time he was the Sun of Wrath, the scorching fire that cleanses away impurity and smites the faithless, and, while his foe might have been a god, another god could still destroy him...

Morgion then decided it was time to retreat and regroup his efforts, he ordered the bulk of his priests and diseased servants to fight the warriors of these two gods to cover the escape of his High Priests. The Lord of Disease needed time to grow stronger, forge alliances, and gain weapons to fight his fellow gods all across the Universe.

Morgion would not be denyed Absolute Power.

Morgion then vanished back to the Bronze Tower, at the edge of reality, a realm under his direct control.

His priests then began the distraction to cover their gods escape.

Name: Jambloron

god of: Victimless Sin

Bio: Born to the Mighty Lord of Existance, Glifferschnatch, Jambloron has been disowned his all-powerful father. He now lives in his mother's basement where he rules over all the forms of victimless evil such as internet porn and marijuana. In the future, he plans to extend his dominion to those things which are not evil but nevertheless very tasteless.

Description: Jambloron is kind of short and a little chubby. He has red hair and thick glasses. He hasn't changed his clothes in about six weeks, so he has a very distinct stench.

Symbol: He didn't realize that he needed a symbol until last night so he drew a design on some toilet paper. It looks like the moon wearing a sombrero but he swears it's supposed to be a lion chasing a gazell in the African Savanna.

Jambloron decided to start an internet gambling site for betting on the outcome of the great battle between Morgion and the forces of goodness. He thought to himself, "Hey if this dude is gonna take over the Universe, I might as well make some money." And so the gamblers came in hordes to place wagers on the outcome of this tremendous event. Some bet in favor of Morgion in hopes of appeasing the mighty god. Others bet against him in support of Vkandis Sunlord and the other gods on the side of truth and light. Jambloron thoughtfully considered which way he would bet. The pulse of his fingers rythmically tapped against the mouse. His armpits sweat the sweat of a thousand swine. He made his choice. Vkandis Sunlord and the other gods would win. Or so he hoped...

Name: Makaal
God Of: Patron God of the Argonian People
Symbol(s): His mark on his chosen is that of a single claw, usually burned into the neck.
Bio: Makaal, the Marsh-Father, is believed to have created the vast Black Marsh with his flaming sword and his ice-headed mace.
Description: Makaal is described as a large Argonian with golden scales and silver horns that curve backwards across his head. His physique is muscular, powerful in the extreme. Clad usually in a flowing red cape and matching robes, Makaal tends to stay removed from the quarrels of other gods unless they directly affect his people. Capable of brilliant acts of kindness, or brutal acts of violence and cruelty, his blessings are often mixed.

All was not well in Makaal's realm. Tales of war brewing in the east had reached his ears, through the prayers of his followers. Alarmed, he had called forth two of his most trusted mortal servants, two of the warrior-shaman order known as the Hands of Makaal...

"Step forth, Zektal of the Foehunter clan. For many years you have served me unquestioningly, followed my orders to perfection. Again I call apon your services to serve your god. Travel east to the forests of Nexlon, I will watch over you, and warriors will be sent to your side should you need them..."

Below, in the temple scene displayed in the glowing circle at Makaal's feet, Zektal Foehunter rose from his kneeling positon, bowed, and left the temple to carry out his assigned task. He was a skilled warrior, more than able to hold his own in an altercation. Tall and trim, Zektal cut an imposing figure in his gunmetal-gray robe with baggy hood. He struck out at a quick pace for the eastern forests, Nexlon's domain...

"And you, Whiptail, my most confusing heretic... Will you serve me once more?"

Whiptail was a Dark Argonian, exiled from Makaal's favor & marked by such by the charcoal color of his scales, as opposed to the typical green. He'd been marked for past crimes, and coverted to the Christian faith later on to seek enlightenment elsewhere. Makaal hated to call on such an individual, but he was the greatest warrior & hero the Argonian people had at the moment, and Makaal wasn't keen on resurrection at the moment to call forth a hero like Silvertongue Steelforge, and send him from his position as his personal blacksmith to fight alongside a non-believer like Whiptail. It would be nothing short of an insult to such a devoted servant...

"Still you remain silent. Do this for your people, if not for me. Lead a party of warriors to the west, aide the softskins in their fights for their Gods. If you do not stop the plague-bearers, your kind will perish. The disease they bear is not one we are immune to, and poses a grave threat..."

Whiptail nodded, his powerful frame rising from the stonework to turn to leave in silence. The pair of katanas on his back rivaled the work of Steelforge himself, yet had been forged by Whiptail's own hand from the meteorite steel reserved for Makaal's blessed blades given only to heroes. Oddly, Makaal had given the material to Whiptail. That curse of his had small side benefits after all, Makaal's conscience being one of them.

The black-cloaked warrior made his way slowly down the western road, warriors from various Elder Families and local militiamen, going forth in service of Whiptail, a respected hero, and to fight and die for their God...

"It is odd that Makaal sought me out, requesting that I lead his army forward to do battle with another of his wicked kind. He curses me so, then seeks my help. He is a fickle god indeed..."

Whiptail mused as he marched, his fin-ears pricking up at the sound of war-drums thumping behind him...

The priests of Morgion were far from helpless, with the support of their dark god the Priests unleashed great billowing clouds of toxic gases, all kinds of fast-acting and fast-killing plagues, and flesh eating diseases that would scour a human body in mere minutes. All at the unholy blessings of a dark and ruthless god.

Meanwhile the High Priests, the first converts to the Seething One's cult had escaped to different areas of the world, planning to spread the religion in different forms and shappes, Morgion would be given a thousand faces and names but in the end they would all mean the same Lord of Disease.

The Bronze Tower: The Edge of Reality

Morgion replaced his hood over his ruined face, hiding the horror he had become, once the most beautiful, wisest, and good of all the Gods Morgion had fallen into envy at what other God's had been given dominon over and tried to steal power and control over all Creation, his punishment when he had failed was to lose everything he held dear, his beauty was replaced with hideousness, his wisdom remained but became twisted with evil, and his purity was replaced with Envy.

For now Morgion would be safe at the Bronze Tower, for it was the one place in all Creation that he held total dominion over. Here he would redouble his efforts in the shadows. The Universe would be his, one day.

Name: Tanalin
God of: Art, in all its forms and manipulation as decreed by his artistic desire
Symbol/s:
Countless, thousands of images that are linked with the various arts. Favoured symbols include the harp, theatrical mask or pen.
Bio:
Tanalin has long been held in respect by gods of most pantheons - both those of good and evil alignment - not least because of his neutral stance.
Master of art in its countless forms he appreciates the sorrowful sketchings on a prison wall as much as high romantic art. Great ideas are often attibuted to him, although he has never confessed to starting such renaissances, many (both among his followers and his peers) consider the God Who Paints the Dawn an enigma who operates for his own purposes.
Tanalin is a consumate actor and verbal fencing is not advised. He often responds well to flattery (all the while knowing what it is, but he loves appreciation of his works) and artful approaches to plans and plotting.
Description:
Androgenous, (masculin pronouns used for simplicity) his body and features are a work of art that look more sculpted than grown, normally with great wings in angelic style protruding from his back. He is known to favour flowing robes that move of their own accord and heighten dramatic moments. However, he can change himself to fit any artistic image, given a brief amount of time, changing race, gender, species as he wills.

The Priests of Morgion were inneffectual against the Paladins of the Sunsguard, protected as they were by the powers of the Sunpriests, unfortunately the populace was less lucky, hundreds died horrible deaths as the plague claimed them, and thousands more were suffering in agony as the dark poqwers of Morgion twisted their flesh with disease and rot.

The Priests of Morgion saw their doom, but they knew that they had claimed success in that the High Priests had escaped to spread the religion in other more harder to find forms. Also their god was pleased and the priests knew that once they were killed their god would claim their souls and would find the means to restore them to the world one day.

Morgion, Lord of Disease had claimed a victory, as twisted as it might be to ensure that his evil would continue to grow.

It looked as if Jambloron would loose his ten dollars at the mighty hands of Morgion and his unholy priests. Jambloron thought for a moment and said to himself, "Why must I loose ten dollars because of the evil god Morgion? I could help the side of goodness and truth and save myself some money." And so, the god of victimless evil embarked on a heroic quest to save the day (not to mention ten bucks.)

He marched directly up to Morgion's thrown in the underworld. The evil god knew that Jambloron was coming but he told his priests not to obstruct Jambloron's journey to his layer. He was extremely annoyed that the young god had made such a mockery of his quest to rule the universe as to gamble on the outcome of the outcome of the event. He wanted to destroy Jambloron himself. And so, when Jambloron reached Morgion's thrown, he proclaimed, "Morgion, you shall live to regret the day you placed my money in jeopardy!" But Morgion only laughed.

"AHAHAAHAAHAAHAA!!!!! You think you can defeat me. AHAHAAHAAHAAHAA!!!!"

Jambloron drew his mighty sword and Morgion prepared to cast a spell of disease. Just as Jambloron's sword approached the throat of the evil god, Morgion cast a spell of instant death upon him.

"You know, I almost feel bad for killing him," Morgion thought as he paced away from Jambloron's dead body, "but then again, I don't. The stupid kid deserved it."

The gray-robed figure of Zektal Foehunter arrived at the outskirts of the forests of Nexlon's domain sometime towards the end of the next day. The god of the forest and the god Zektal represented had mutual intrests, such as their reliance on the trees for food, and the trees relying on mortal protection, at least in the case of the trees standing silently in the Marshlands...

Whiptail's army marched onward, silent as the grave. Gunfire sounded in the distance, a very bad sign. There was only one firearm among the gathered forces, which was Whiptail's 1911A1 forty-five automatic, a Colt-produced relic from the second world war. While powerful and accurate, it only held eight rounds. Whiptail had twenty-two rounds total: Three magazines and one in the chamber.

His was a force of pikemen, spearmen, archers, swordsmen of all types, rogues, war-mages, slingers, and all sorts of blunt weapons. It not for the extreme discipline it exercised in its manuvers, one might have mistaken it for a band of marading lizard-men.

They met the gunmen from the right flank, the war-mages, archers, and slingers unleashing a volley of fireballs, lightning bolts, arrows, and stones ahead of the charging infantry, led by spears and pikes and followed by better-armored swordsmen and militia. Whiptail led the charge himself, forty-five in one hand and a katana held tightly in the other...

ooc: I understand that it is generally considered godmoding to control the actions of an RP character that belongs to someone else. Generally, however, this is done so that one's own character may win the battle/compitition envolved. My post did not even come close to this. Furthermore, the events within my post were entirely inconsequential, so it is completely unnecessary for you or any of the other participants to incorporate the events of my post within your own RPs. Therefor, my post was harmless. If you really want to extend the definition of godmoding to include my post, then you logically have to admitt that godmoding is not always unacceptable.
Also, I reallize that Jambloron should not have been able to make it all the way to Morgion's thrown in the underworld, as there doubtlessly would have been several thousand or million guards. In fact, this was probably your main problem with my post. Once again, however, my post is entirely harmless. I do understand that you might find it aestethically displeasing for Jambloron to march directly to Morgion's thrown while the other more powerful gods have had to fight off his priests in an attempt to reach him. It doesn't seem to make much sense. I'll edit my post to include an explanation of why Jambloron was able to get past Morgion's hosts of guards. Finally, if you would like me to delete my post, then I will certainly do so.

Morgion spewed with rage as he was attacked by yet another of these annoying nature god's and his forces. This Zektel... Not a god that Morgion was familar with was posing too much of a threat to his glorious plans to take over the Earth, and then use it as a base to launch a full scale holy war on the rest of the Universe.

The worship of the Lord of Illness would be made secure all across creation until Morgion was Lord of the Universe. But first things first.

"If nature will oppose me, then I shall destroy nature itself." the Dark God mused in his lair, the body of a dead (and foolish!) god lay before him, Morgion planned to have him stuffed and mounted in his Throne Room in the Bronze Tower. "Time to call on a favor."

[A few Moments Later]

A strange and dark cloud filled the skies of the nations of the world, the world seemed to quake in fear as thousands of black dragons filled the sky. In unison the black dragons used their acid breath on the forests and jungles of the world, at the request of Morgion these evil creatures would kill the natural world to cripple the power of the nature gods.

But would it work?

OOC: Ok An archy, I'll accept this but I just don't like it when people hijack my characters. That's all.

OOC: Zektal's more of an agent of his god, a warrior-shaman (monk) whom Makaal, the actual opponent your god is facing, uses to do his bidding in the mortal realm. You should be more concerned with Whiptail & his forces, they pose the greatest threat.

IC:
Makaal was appalled and enraged by the sight of such creatures destroying his domain. In his anger, the skies blazed red with fury, white-hot bolts of lightning striking the dragons from the sky as the few remaining archers added their arrows to the defense of their homeland...

The Lord of Decay and Disease was filled with pure unbridled rage, his gunman were to few to many to secure victory. The unholy gunman Morgion watched be desimated by the sneak attack and by the assault of the gods. He also watched the attack on the black dragons with only minimal concern, after all they were rogues and not truly his so Morgion could care less if they all died so as long as they dealt a death blow to nature.

To help in this process Morgion borrowed a Christian consept for the end of the world and created an asteroid that was hollow but made of a foul substance that would make the waters of the world unsafe to drink.

Wormwood, that cursed heavenly object began it's freefall into the atmosphere and began to breakup, releasing it's toxic particles which would contaminate all water that it came into contact with.

Makaal had never encountered something of this manner, but felt he had an idea of how to conquer it. He created a drop in pressure at the far edges of his lands, causing mighty winds to blow outwards, and hopefully taking the wormwood fragments away from the Argonian people.

While immune to numerus chemical and botanical poisons, as well as several diseases, the effects of wormwood had not been documented or even expeiramented with on the Argonian physique.

As an additional precaution, Makaal heated the atmosphere above his domain to several hundred degrees warmer than it should have been. The people below took refuge in the shade of their huts, or whatever shady shelter there was to be found. Makaal might kill a few in the process, but such was for their own good... They would live quite well in the afterlife. He would make sure of that...

"Quiet brilliant of Makaal," Morgion said to himself as he floated just above the Earth and watched what Makkal did to counter the effects of the Wormwood Asteroid.

"Not good enough."

As the asteroid broke up into tiny pieces and scattered into the atmosphere, the areas of superheated air destroyed the Wormwood materal. But the areas of normal and sub-zero temperatures however did nothing to stop the toxic matter from falling very quickly into the waters of the world.

It would take longer than expected but the waters of the world would become unsafe to drink without processing, the trees and plants would die of toxins from the very rain itself. In essence nature itself would die and the Gods who held sway over Nature would grow weak and vunerable to the powers of Morgion.

And only Morgion held the power to cure the world of the plague of Wormwood.
