Nobody has any problem with certain members of the ESUS having the "phoenix down" effect upon their own diplomats? I applied it because given that Xenonier is the farthest flung ESUS member, and that we are new to the ESUS, we are unlikely to be invaded.

Besides, since when did we care about a diplomat?

Mind copying is something the League doesn't have, mainly because we're a group of howling barbarians in spaceships, and partially because we're very moralistic. ^_^

This is one of the far more fun threads, of late, the whole "Evil villain of +3 to mystery", and the like! No UbEr fleets of TEH DOOMZORS, which just about every overcompensating 1bn-2bn nation puts out, (And every CF, but that's another story, :P), and you seem to be able to grasp some of the fundamentals of space combat, unlike most (You mean, Admiral, they're not going to sit there while we just blast at them, and they blast at us, so we can overwhelm them with superior numbers? OMG!!! We're screwedzors!), and it's a mystery! Personally, I think you're that group of funny guys that always deliver my pizza juuust within the time limit, so it's not piping hot, but I don't get it free. And you type your posts on laptops while delivering my pizza. Anyway, that's my theory.

Oh, and Xenonier. I don't have any problems with the Phoenix Down effect, but I can see a Level 60 Black Mage Firagaring your ass for being like Square...

Well, the Kanuckistani afterlife isn't a theory; we have Shrines of the Dead(temple+hallowed grounds which the dead can walk, often including touristy towns to service the visiting dead and their visitors) where you can go and interact with your deceased friends and relatives as if they were alive, provided the dead person has enough positive 'karma' to allow them the priviledge, and as long as any particular shrine isn't 'over-booked'(and, of course, that they actually want to visit you).

'course, there are a bunch of rules, including certain things the visiting dead can't talk about, such as other religons(although forginers are certainly welcome to join the faith).

OOC2: Xenonier, if this guy's a recurring character, he doesn't have to die. I'm willing to be lenient on that. We can work something out OOCly on the OOC thread if you don't want him dead.

I work on the Alpha Centuari principle of a massive neural net in which speific personalities can live on way past their bodies expiring as pure energy. Given the situation and given Xenonian intelligence/personality, he would see the plasma about to char-grill his anthromorphic carcass in a nanosecond, calculate that they plan to cause disruption in the ESUS by killing him, and feign death while his mind lives on, only to drop a few Ships on you (fleets :P) at some innoppurtune time for the consortium.

The devices also allow for instantaneous communication, but that's another story for another day. Since I only starting ftrping when I had around 500 million people, you can tell where All my budget went.

Mmm, TA. I just found another project to splurge money on, we could even tie it into this conflict if anyone's up for it. A commander type vehicle that uses Temporal technology, and nanolathe to rebuild entire ecosystems in the event of WMD/planetkilling devastation.

If I could not get the AI aboard the station I would have sent in one of the Childer to investigate and to take over the roll the AI would have carried out.

If this causes trouble I will have to accept it. I don't know about any precautions you have taken against psionic entities from merging with the station and snooping around. I am counting on very little precautions, but they have been trained for this type of ESPionage.

Varyia said the entire station would be flooded with superheated plasma. Which rules out a valiant death, or anything of the sort. Allthough being gunned down while drawing a handheld quantum pistol and taking a few bastards with him , or playing into your sugested scenario is just as attractive.

Quite correct. The super-heated plasma of twelve anti-capital ship warheads! Muahahahah! But that's not all of it, oh no. :)

Seeing as how I don't know what a "childer" is, I can't really respond to it. Plus, I hate overpowered psionics on a personal level. :p

You wouldn't find too much. The base computer systems have a copy of the fabricated history I related earlier in my last filler post, all the necessary protocols for maintaining the station's functionality, and that's about it. Nobody inside actually has any knowledge of what's going on. It's more like 'we've got a few guests showing up, so we better make them comfortable.'

OK, I didn't find anything inside that would neither lead me elsewhere or to colaborate what I had found out other than the copy in the files. The investigation inside the station will be considered a dead end.

I will continue following leads hoping to find something that might point to someone else but for now CF is where everything is pointing.

Since I am continuing the search please tell me when (if) I discover something.

Yeah, sorry about that. I haven't been feeling the best these past few days. Suffice to say that I'm working on my post, and it'll be one of those detailed ones that I started this RP off with.

Quality is worth waiting for.

As long as we know this has not been forgotten, it is fine.

The stance Balrogga is taking on the whole thing is thay have not done any of the things the ESUS has been accused of and since they are having trouble with a couple nations who does fit the description, they are keepng an eye on it but will not get involved at this stage other than investigating and then deciding after things resolve with those nations in question.

I know that sounds confusing but that is how things currently stand.

Even after our diplomats are... disposed of... the Imperial Government will still, for the most part, take a defensive position. Most higher ups won't go for a full scale war unless invaded. However, the minority will call for immediate action, which includes the NGDC. Political upheaval will ensue.

My nation is still continuing their investigation but we are not going to send a deligate to the meeting while we have other concerns involving other members.

Oh, and I'm prepared. My government, however, has just been hit with an invasion, annoying as it may sound. So, yeah, don't expect much from me in the way of a responce, apart from the atypical finding all your civilians and torturing them to death, for fun and profit.

OOC: Will the fershlugging Consortium hurry up and just kill us already. We know (OOCly) its rigged with enough C4 to explode the entire asteroid. So just do it, we're kinda bored right about now. Once things start blowing up, we can get some more action going. You don't need to wait for every single member of the ESUS to have a delegate in the room before the nuclear device hidden under the floor goes off. Now everybody is just kinda stalling with cleverly disguised bump-posts.
