The Classic - Mexicona National:
This will be the first event for the 2006 Tour.
Players will compete for a first prize of US$987,350
Last Place after the cut is US$11,990

If players place themselves well in this event, it could be a good start for the season. Mexicona National has Tight Fairways, Tiger Tees(Nasty) and just plain ugly pin positions. If you can tame this course you can tame the other courses. The Hardest, most challenging course is Tabacco Lane Country Club. Players will contest there next month.

The Classic - Mexicona National: Begins on Thursday. Results will be submitted Daily

I look forward to Tabacoo Lane Country Club, not to mention the Classic held at Mexicona National.
Our best players will try their hardest.
Can we submitt a "small event" for tommorow? If we can its like a pro-am. Winner gets $500,000
It could be held at our No.1 Private Course - Silent Winds Golf links. Its a basic course, enough for most to tame. Just Trying to draw some attraction to our nation. We hope to host events at our courses in the 2007 Season.

Yes. You may host a small event. In which all players can play (optional) for a first prize of $500,000. This event will effect results within the leader charts and money prizes but is not an event within the tour. This event must stay within our standards. It must be 18 holes. There is no cut. Last place is $5,325. This is your event and you can provide the results.
It must begin at 7am. Results are to be in by 6pm.
I wish all players well in this event.
We thank you for your Cooperation

First Prize $500,000?
Isn't that a little to much for a small event that is not within the seson tour?
Somthing small like this should have maybe $75,000 for first prize.
What do you think???

Play began at 7 this morning with hot weather rising to keep players from too much power over the course.
John Coleman shares the lead along with Geoffery Rio and Retief Goosen at 4 under par. Ben Overgooi is currently on his 5th hole and at 1 under. Several Players have hit the course early but have not had much success. Players that have 10am Tee Times will have to face 41 degree heat and hot winds for a few hours. The crowd today is numbered at 9,353. Expectations for Spectators were expected to double but heats put an end to such thing.

Due to other Distractions in recent days, Shearwaters will not be able to host the IPGA Season and start it until Late November. He personally ensured me via email he would make it up to all, once the Classic begins on the 1st Decemeber.

Hi, welcome back to the 2005-2006 IPGA!
This tour will be slower than the last, so please enjoy.
Sorry about my absentness from this thread.

The Classic - Mexicona National:
This will be the first event for the 2006 Tour.
Players will compete for a first prize of US$987,350
Last Place after the cut is US$11,990

Round one ended in fine weather, nice breezes and of course nice scores for most players. The Green Keeping staff at Mexicona National, decided to make the greens slower than the usual speed for the entire event.

With the slower greens, nice weather, good turf conditions and a good round, Tony Sullivan from BlackHill Mafia lead the first round at 8 under par. His lead began on the fifth, after a large drive 294 metres deep down the centre of the fairway, he then brough a pitch chip, inches from the hole and then made birdie. He then lead the remander of his round.
In second place at 6 under par is Donnie Zeukerkamp who had trouble on his 13th hole but escaped and made par, then dominated at second place long in front of third place Geoff Rio from Shearwaters who was at 3 under par for the day. Geoff played below expectations but still managed to place in the top 5. Ben Overgooi, a top player from last season, some how landed in deep rough and could keep up with the players today and took last place at 5 over par. Overgooi said in a press conference, that nasty 9th hole took a great effect on me. I drove to far, and landed in a fairway bunker from there i took to the rough, then a perfect shot went to far and landed in more bunkers. For a Par four, i took a 9. I did however make an odd birdie, and one eagle but fell short due to that hole. I will embrace it tommorow, with a different attitude, thanks.

Round 2 Results, tommorow...

Well, round two officially has officially finished and so has the 'cut'.
Leading NS Golfer Ben Overgooi last season has for the first time ever missed the cut. He finished a little stronger today but failed. He finished at 3 over par. Overgooi missed the cut along with Frank Jackson & Elizabeth Day. Tony Sullivan again lead at 13 under par but Geoff Rio & Donnie Zeukerkamp caught up to each other and took after Sullivan and were at 11 under par for the day.
The best comeback today was player 1 from Fredericksdottir. Player 1 finished at 1 over yesterday and finished at 9 under par today. Player 1 birdied 7 holes on the front 13 holes, and made an eagle on the 17th par 4.

The 17th is known for long drivers to hit its green from the tee. Player 1, accurate and a long hitter took the chance and went for the pin from the tee. Luckily, with a still wind, the ball finished 5 feet from the pin. Player 1 then nailed the putt and took eagle. Tiger Woods finished badly at 4 under par after a rough day on the back nine.

Round 3 tommorow!

OCC: hmm. So you host golf too!
Interesting.
I would like to sponsor the Tour.
If possible???

The Beer&Footy PGA would like to donate $2.3 Million for Prize Money, sponsor Donnie Zeukerkamp (So for the entire season we will play him $4.1 Million if he promotes our top golf brand X-GOLF TR90), offer a team of Greens Keepers (2 x 8 People - TORO) & lastly the position to be a major sponsor for the entire Tour.
Is this possible???
Shearwaters

Ok.

You may sponsor Donnie Zeukerkamp (X-GOLF TR90 - For $4.1 Million a Season). You can become a major sponsor for the tour.
We will accept your donation for Prize Money.

We have accepted all you offered.
We thank you for you contributions.

Your 'TORO' Greenskeepers of which there are 16, but are divided into 2 groups of 8, are entitled to attent each event and will help the greenskeepers at that event. Please note they will help. They will help the greenskeepers that maintain that course. They must comply with the specifications such as 'slow greens' or 'tournament speed greens'.
Thanks
