Day 1: August 19, 2519
Across the nation all comm screens were tuned to news channels and were displaying in a ticker tape at the lower part of the screen the line "PARLIAMENT HAS RECENTLY OUSTED THE FEDERALIST PARTY!!! RIOTS ENGULF THE CAPITAL!!!" Watching from the comm screen opposite her desk, Sandra M. Devnostraea the first President of the Second Californian Republic smiled and tapped a button set into her oak desk turning off the comm screen. Sitting back in her chair she smiled again saying to herself "It is indeed time for a change..."
From a helicopter hovering over Parliament Square, CGP Plaza, Greater Los Angeles
"I am Alex Royce reporting to you from KRWN News Chopper One bringing you this extraordinary piece of news, as of this morning demonstrators have flocked to Parliament Square just outside of the Parliament at the Californian Government Plaza enraged about the decision dropped today by the government making the Federalist Party illegal and permanently illegitimate as a party within California's borders. This comes after the Californian State Security Service was called into investigate a series of assassinations of key government officials and traced the assassins back to the Federalist Party. Now for sometime the CSSS has been on the case and had been trying to find out who was funding the assassins until the agency was tipped off about suspicious activity on the rooftop of a high rise near a government building downtown, acting quickly the police surrounded the building and captured two men who were later revealed to be part of a larger assassination plot funded by the Federalists. Now some of the demonstrators down here who are protesting the ousting of the Federalist Party are asking why the government has held the entire party responsible for these assassinations and frankly I don't see why the party should not be held accountable for this, What do you think Susan?"
At the KRWN News Desk, Susan Matthews smiled "Hello, this is Susan Matthews of KRWN News, yes Alex I do agree with your statement. The two assassins who were captured by police have revealed a larger conspiracy that would have ended up in the deaths of more of our government officials, one of the assassins now identified as Corey G. Halverson has stated that the Federalist Party paid them to assassinate a list of officials... some of these being well recognized and influential members of our government. I will read some of the names from this list: President Sharon M. Vassaretti, Vice-President Jennifer Jourgensen, Secretary of State Andrew Waters II, Secretary of Defense Marion Williams, as well as several members of Parliament and Chief Justices of the Supreme Court."
"We have the understanding now that the crowd is numbering at about a million and a half protesters now, and have been challenging the security officers in Parliament Square, nine have been injured and two are in serious condition after protesters rushed a security guard post causing one of the security guards to use a fire hose to hold the crowd back. This demonstration is the result of a surprise move by Parliament to oust the Federalist Party denouncing it as "A power-hungry organization that has been tyring to gain the majority in Parliament willing to go as far as a coup d'etat on the government using brutal intimidation tactics to weaken our government and recently, going as far as assassinating members of Parliament to gain government seats." President Sharon M. Vassaretti expressed her tp the media today "Because of the actions taken by the Federalist Party, the government of this nation was left no choice but to oust them, they have now lost their recognition in this country as a legitimate party and have now been labelled as an illegal entity within our borders, their assets have been frozen and the Bureau of National Security has been put into motion cracking down on the Federalists across the country arresting party officials and supporters."
Day 2: August 20, 2519
Downtown Greater Los Angeles, California — C.S.D.S.F.
Perched atop a high rise building Sandra M. Devnostraeva sat watching the streets below with a high powered pair of binoculars smiling at the ensuing chaos engulfing Parliament Square, throwing her arm back to retrieve something from the inside of her coat she retrieved a slender leather case, untying two straps at the top of the case and pulling a flap of leather back she retrieved a steel crossbow arrow. Tying a small note to the shaft of the arrow and loading it into the crossbow she threw her cloak to get her aim sighting one of the windows of the Parliament Building where a meeting was in session she fired.
Meanwhile in Parliament...
Wyoming Senator Randolph G. Jenkins stands to excuse himself from the meeting on account he had been drinking coffee all day and had needed a restroom break for the last twenty-minutes "I am sorry to interrupt this meeting like this, but I will be back in five." No sooner than he finished his sentence the bolt from the crossbow crashed through the window showering those nearest the window with glass and entering the chest of Senator Jenkins. Just seconds after hearing the glass break Senator Jenkins brought his hands to his chest tightly holding the shaft of the arrow buried in his chest. Senators and House Delegates surrounded him until the Speaker Of Parliament Andrew Waters stepped over the now dead body and pulled the arrow from the chest of the deceased Senator holding the arrow and retrieved the note from the shaft. Reading it to himself he felt his heart drop he then looked up from the note and told those around him "Call the coroner, have them get this body out of here!, the rest of you are dismissed!" Running quickly from the Parliament to Executive Tower 1 the Andrew ran through the lobby past the security guards and into an open express elevator and punched in the security code for the top elevator, counting the minutes as the express elevator arrived at the Penthouse Suite on the 245th floor and walked in. Arriving at yet another pair of security guards he waved the note "President Vassaretti, please!" the guards looked at him and seen the look on his face and that this was serious "Right this way" they walked to the wall opposite the entrance and stood in place for two seconds, Andrew stood between them looking at a massive map painted on the wall looking at the inscription he noticed it was a map of First Republic California he looked at a part of the map where Las Vegas was supposed to be and noticed the name 'Vista De La Vega' Andrew said it aloud to himself... "Vista De La Vega??" just as he finished saying the name the painting parted vertically and the two pieces slide away from each other revealing a rather large chamber with a desk set in the center of it... behind the desk sat President Vassaretti drinking a Long Island Iced Tea with a Swisher Sweet Cigarette between the index and middle fingers of her left hand. Upon seeing the senator she put her glass down "Andrew! what a surprise seeing you here! I am guessing this is something important or you wouldn't be here" as she took a long drink from her Long Island Iced Tea finishing it. The Speaker Of Parliament sat for a minute catching his breath... "This arrived rather gruesomely during a session of Parliament, it was addressed to you, I took the liberty of reading the first few lines and decided you needed to see it immediately!" President Vassaretti put her cigarette out and took the note from him and walked over to her window facing the Pacific Ocean before reading the note aloud "Hello, President Vassaretti... or should I say Sharon? We have spent so much time together as lovers, compatriots, and fellow politicians... But I have to say I expected a lot from you when I chose you as my successor. And upon taking office what do you do?! You make a damned fool out of me and then go on to make peace with those who had blatantly threatened this nation! This crowd down here in Parliament Square sure loves you don't they? Anyways if you still don't know who this use your comm screen and call the number at the bottom of this note. 2-626-674-8105"
Sharon turned the comm screen on and dialed the number in and jumped back as she seen a familiar face starring at her "Hello, Sharon... nice to see that you recognize me, I thought you forgot me what with your needing to dial the number to see who it was. Didn't you see the clues I left you? That is unless you have had other "lovers, compatriots and fellow politicians" since we broke up.
Day 3: August 21, 2519
Long Beach Harbor, Off the coast of Greater Los Angeles, California - C.S.D.S.F.
Admiral of the Pacific Fleet Sandra M. Devnostraeva sat back in a large backed red leather chair smoking a small cigar, looking directly north from her quarters on the CFV California/BBGN-4 she spotted Californian Government Plaza, Executive Tower 1 standing above every building in the city's skyline. Getting out of her chair and walking toward the window she began thinking aloud "It is such a damned pity that I am going to have to fire on the very building I designed as the capital building for this great nation... but if it will flush that cast-iron bitch out of hiding and into my grasp then so be it." Walking down to the Combat Information Center she picking up the headset and turned the microphone on "Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, Children (some of you) of all ages... I, your esteemed Admiral have a nice gift for you, as of fourteen hundred hours today we are now officially at war with the Californian Sovereign Democratic-Socialist Federation. Us being Californians we have to chose... and as your Admiral I have taken this fleet under my command. You are either with me or against me... if you wish to stand against me you will be kept on board under surveillance in case you wish to try and derail what is going on here... the rest of you let's have fun." Taking the headset off she talked to the ship-to-shore comm screen and dialed in the office of the Californian President after connecting Sandra gave a wry smirk "So... have you figured out who I am and what this is all about, yet?" Sharon sat back in her chair and pressed her hands together steepling her fingers "Yes, Sandra... I know very much who you are... but I honestly for the love of God cannot figure out what this is all about... why did you order the death of one of my own Senators?!" Sandra spat her cigar from the corner of her mouth and burst out with laughter... "I cannot believe my f---ing ears... God!, you really are as inexperienced for this f---ing job as I thought you were! Listen up hun, one rule of thumb is when you want something done you find the quickest method of getting the job done. Your Senator probably had about ten to fifteen good years on him, I consider what I did a favor albeit as gruesome as it was... but it got your attention didn't it?!... the letter was delivered?. Anyways you know what this is all about... Do not play stupid and stand there acting as if you had no hand in my forced resignation, I had to walk out of my office trying to hold a half-hearted smile right after you and those imbeciles in Parliament voted me out with your vote of approval, I knew you were power hungry and I knew you wanted to lead this country more than anything... but I didn't know that you weren't as cut out for the job as everyone including me had thought. You're a goddamned disappointment... your people are down in the square two-hundred and forty-six floors beneath you crying for a change, and by God they will get it."
Sharon looked up "Are you finished yet?" Sandra growled "Hun, you better be damned glad I am not in the same room with you right now... I'd bring you at least seven types of humiliation, lover girl... or have you forgot those nights we've shared together? You know after this is all over with again you can step-down and take the role of Vice-President if you simply re-instate me and we could go about our merry little way again, as compatriots, lovers and friends... What do you say?!" Sharon started laughing mockingly at her. "Please don't insult me Sharon, I have heard you laugh like this before and used to think it humorous, but I am being serious. I know you still have feelings for me, although I don't necessarily know if anyone of those feelings may be love, but I still hold alot love for you. I know we have been apart for a long time, and I know you probably hate me for this, but I am only trying to help you... I don't want to see you killed." Sandra looked to see her wiping her eyes with the back of her hand. Sharon cleared her throat "Why don't you go straight to hell Sandra?!" Sharon looked at her "Do I really have that kind of effect on you?" Sandra frowned and stepped back "Sharon, I am only asking you to do what is in the best interest of both you and California, believe me what I tell you this... I don't want to see you get killed over this. Don't hate me for this, I am just the messenger." Sharon turned and looked our towards the Pacific Ocean with a look of contempt. "Come on Sharon, I know it has been a long time since we have been together... but I am only going to give you the chance to end this before it gets dangerous only once..." Sandra held her open hand to the comm screen "All you have to do... is announce to the people that you will be stepping down and reinstating me, it is not all that hard... at least you won't have a gun to your back like I did!" Sharon sat there completely unable to move or speak, she just sat there at her desk, her eyes darting from one side of the room to the other intentionally avoiding Sandra's face while she tried to think of a way to get out of this situation. Sandra chimed in again "Come on babe, you know you don't want this to go the way of Gorbachev... do you? he was killed or were you around for that? Anyways, lets just go back to being fellow lovers and politicians... I don't want to have to kill you." Sandra then looked at her watch and began humming the tune from Jeopardy "So what will your answer be? Are you going to throw your life away or are you going to stop this insane foolishness and save your life and the future of this country?"
Sharon looked up and met the eyes of Sandra staring at her through the comm screen "Sandra, as good as your offer sounds... I cannot accept, if you have to kill me then so be it." Sandra's expression dropped from half-taunting half-worried to an expression of heartfelt disappointment "[/i]Sharon, Sharon... Sharon... why, why why?! Why couldn't you just do the right thing and quit when you could have when the perfect opportunity to do so was given... The people wouldn't have cared about the reason for your resignation if you simply stepped down as President... they would have understood, you have been under a lot of stress and you simply cannot take the burden of making all of these heavy decisions. They would have understood... but now you leave me no choice. Good bye Sharon.[/i]" the comm screen transmission ended with Sandra turning slowly away from the camera with a tear running down her left cheek.
Minutes Later on board the BBGN-4 Super battleship California
Sandra then wiped the tears from her eyes, "Lieutenant Commander, can I get a firing solution on Californian Government Plaza, Executive Tower 1 please?" Lt. Cmdr. Jason Ricks gasped in disbelief "Admiral, Ma'am... you wish for me to fire on the capital?" Sandra looked dead into his eyes "You're damned straight I do, I want you to aim for the top of that building." She turned pointing at the tallest building on the skyline. "That's CGP, Executive Tower 1... I want you to aim for the two-hundred and forty-sixth floor of the building" Lt. Cmdr. Ricks sat down and began taking calculations and writing figures down, Sandra standing mere feet away tapping her foot on the steel mesh before the Lieutenant Commander got up and responded "Fire Control Computer says wind speed 19 miles per hour to the north-north-west, projected trajectory sixty-four and one-half degrees. Do you wish to fire all five guns from Turret Andrew?" Sandra nodded to herself "Yes... I also want our Valkyrie Cruise Missile batteries brought online and targeting the Californian Government Plaza as well... just in case shelling the hell out of her won't work."
The Master Chief Fire Controlman Derek R. Davis then began positioning Turret Andrew and raising all five of the guns on the turret to sixty-four and one half degrees... he then hit a switch that operated a mechanism inside the turret to load the shells into their respective barrels "Gun Barrel Alpha loaded!, Gun Barrel Bravo, Charlie, Delta, Echo all loaded... Ready For Firing!!" Sandra walked up behind the Master Chief Fire Controlman and put her hands on his shoulders. "On my signal fire all barrels in one volley... Now!" the California rocked back and to the right from the recoil produced by the powerful blast. Sandra gripped Davis's shoulders as she steadied herself from falling over, she then walked over to one of the windows on the bridge and started watching CGP Executive Tower 1. Davis cut in "Admiral Devnostraeva Ma'am, the shells should arrive at the target within the minute"
From inside the Presidential Penthouse Suite atop CGP Executive Tower 1
Sharon was busy wiping her eyes after Sandra's recent departure, she had wished that their friendship as politicians, friends and lovers wouldn't have ended like it just did. Walking over to grab another tissue to dry her eyes, she heard a loud concussive blast... she grabbed the tissue and walked casually to the window facing towards the Pacific... the direction the blast came from... Scanning the city below she murmured "Probably just another..." when she noticed a sound coming from the south that chilled her blood "car... bomb" Looking out she seen a large white cloud of smoke sitting in the harbor... as the smoke dissipated she realizes that the ship had just fired in her direction, stepping back slowly from the window she again noticed the five shells with a thin trail of smoke trailing them arcing in the air on their way to descend on the Executive Tower... dropping everything she turned around and bolts for the door flinging it open running past the guards "Getaway from the door and get behind something thick!!" One of the guards looked through the doorway just as the five shells impacted the south side of the building blowing pieces of glass, metal framing, ceiling tile and other debris into the building, sweeping the guard standing in the doorway off of his feet throwing him more than twenty feet into a concrete support column killing him on impact. Sharon and the remaining guard are thrown off of their feet and on to the floor, as the explosive force showered them with bits and pieces of what used to be her office and parts of the buildings interior and exterior and glass shards lacerating them with the small pieces as they are driven through the air at mere miles a second. After the explosion dissipated and the fire containment system kicked on the guard picked Sharon up "Come on we need to get out of here, this is halon gas... we need to get to an area that isn't affected and get off of this floor before the fire spreads and we die of halon poisoning." Sharon nodded and brought a corner of her jacket up to her face to keep the dust and billowing clouds of halon from getting into her lungs, walking through the wreckage of what used to be her penthouse mansion she gasped in fear as a second volley of shells was heard being fired from the BBGN-4 California. Grabbing her by the wrist the security guard urged her "We need to get the hell out of here right now, Miss President" and started running for the elevators, after dodging seven foot sheets of flame and portions of the ceiling caving in they made it to the elevators only to discover that the elevators were damaged from the first volley of shells. Now hearing the deathly whistling of the next volley of shells descending they ran and hid behind an undamaged concrete support column just as the second volley smashed through the southwestern side of the building blowing in more debris and pieces of demolished hardwood furniture, Sharon looked left only to see that direction cut off by a burning mound of debris and wreckage and to the right a narrow path through the fire "Here goes nothing!!" kicking off her high heels she sprinted across the room with the guard only mere feet behind her, making her way to the stairs she began running down the stairs just as the concussion of the third volley was heard, frantically running down the stairs reaching the stair well on the 245th floor as the third volley ripped its way through the concrete barrier her and the guard were standing just moments before and the elevator shaft causing the elevator to plunge like a lead weight all the way to the third sub-level parking garage causing a large raccuous noise to travel up the elevator shaft.
Onboard the BBGN-4 California Super battleship
Sandra stood on the bridge looking out at the burning building through her binoculars, looking through the smoldering wreckage of the building she spotted two figures dashing through the 245th floor and instantly recognized one of them to be Sharon M. Vassaretti, President of the C.S.D.S.F. "Ah... yes, there you are... looks like you have an escort... Fire Control... Turret Andrew three and one-half degrees portside... prepare Turret Bravo for firing. Fire on my signal" Sandra looked through the binoculars again "They are nearing Express Elevator Shaft A on the 245th floor.... right about.... now. FIRE!" Sharon and the guard were dashing across the 245th floor to the Express Elevator A when the fourth volley was sounded, they didn't have the time to turn and run as the fourth smashed through the 246th floor and down through on to the 245th causing that floor to collapse onto the 244th floor, the force of the blast threw Sharon back and over a large glass coffee table shattering it and into a large leather armchair forcing it to fall backwards dumping her on the back of her head knocking her unconscious. Admiral Sandra M. Devnostraeva sat watching as the fourth and fifth volleys completely devastated the south face of the building causing floors 237 to 233 to collapse as the concrete and steel framing that held those floors up near the glass surface was pulverized and incinerated by the shelling from the BBGN-4 California. Sandra yelped in victory "We got her!, we got her!!!... Whoooo! Commander Hoskins, lets get a launch and go ashore... I need to check up on a certain bitch..."
Hours later, inside CGP, Executive Tower 1
Sharon Vassaretti lay in the toppled armchair, her legs resting on the ends of the seat as if her and the chair were sitting down perfectly upright, her head turned to the right resting in a bed of pulverized glass shards and a small puddle of blood... her partner who'd only been a security guard not more than four hours earlier blown in half with the bottom half of him ending up near the gaping hole in the middle of the building in what used to be the entrance to the express elevator to the lobby the top half being nowhere within sight and probably at the bottom of the elevator shaft with the mangled remains of Express Elevator A. Sharon being the only person on the floor who hadn't evacuated the building immediately when the first volley of shells struck the tower lay completely unconscious oblivious to the heavy footsteps crushing the glass shards beneath their feet as they exited Express Elevator B and walked through the demolished floor with Sandra leading the party. "I want you to search over there, and you over there, if you find her let me know..." She began walking over in the area that she had seen her last through the binoculars and looked out towards the harbor just able to see her ship, turning around one-hundred and eighty degrees she scanned the area noticing a severed arm sticking out beneath a toppled contrete support column. Upon further examination it proved to be the missing upper half of the former guard, walking further past the guard she walked slowly between Express Elevators A and B to where the former Saffire Meeting Room sat completely annihilated and unrecognizable and turning to the left after surveying the damage she came upon a pair of legs draped over the end of a large black leather armchair that had been thrown backwards from the force of the blast... Amazed Sandra looked down at her unconscious form "Sweet Mother Of Jesus... her body survived that blast?! Christ! You know hun even though you're unconscious and cut up to hell you still look good!!" Looking at her victim's sprawled out form Sandra settled on Sharon's open legs and worked her way up from her kneecaps and got a devious smile "If I've told you once babe, I've told you a million times keep your panties on and your legs closed... you never know what kind of people are lurking about." Looking up a second she smiled "It's okay boys, I found her!! she's still alive, the bitch. I'm going to get her cleaned up, she's got quite a good cut on the back of her head and then we can get out of here." Sandra smiled as the grabbed Sharon's limp arm and pulled her up and out of the chair and dumped her upper body over her shoulder, grabbing Sharon's legs to hold on to her and walked off to one of the guest suites, opened the door partially using her leg to hold the door open and walked through, taking the 'Do Not Disturb' sign off the inside of the door and placing on the outside of the door handle. Walking into the room she went over to the bed and dumped Sharon's almost lifeless body on the bed, Sandra then lifted Sharon's head and kissed her lips passionately "You know I love you too much to kill you"
Day 6: August 24, 2519
Guest Suite, 245th Floor, CGP Executive Tower 1
Sandra awoke to the sun's light shining through the vertical blinds that were pulled in front of the window of the suite she occupied for the night, the Pacific looked so calm and serene with all of the vessels and boats out on its untroubled waters. Looking behind her she seen Sharon's still limp form spread out on the bed, smiling she walked over to the comm screen on the south wall and turned it on and dialed her limousine. After waiting for roughly five minutes of listening to the connecting tone her assistant Jennifer Jourgenson answered. "Yes, Miss Devnostraeva?" Sandra smiled "Have the driver of the limousine meet me and my company in the lobby of the Californian Government Plaza, Executive Tower 1 in two hours, I have a very important passenger that we will need to bring with us and we need this done in absolute secrecy. Got it?" Sandra waited for her answer on the other end of the line before Jennifer answered "Of course, we will be there." After disconnecting the comm screen she turned it off and looked at her victim again, smiling she said to herself out loud "You know hun, this would be alot more fun to me if you were awake... so lets see if we can't wake you up for a little fun." Grabbing her cell phone she dialed Gwen, one of her female assistants who had come with her to the CGP Exec. Tower "Gwen, can you come to Suite 19A please? I need some help in getting the unconscious Miss Vassaretti cleaned up." Gwen hesitated for a minute before answering "I'll be there in a minute." Minutes later she walked into the suite and stopped at the end of the bed and looked down at Sharon's lifeless form, she stood there for a minute admiring her body following the shapes of her curves before Sandra tapped her on the shoulder "You pick her up on this side, I'll get the other, we're going to bring her over by the sink so we can clean her up and hopefully get her to come out of her concussion. We need her alive, for the next stage in our plans." As they brought Sharon's almost lifeless body over to the sink, Sandra grabbed a dry towel and ran it under the faucet until it was soaked and brought it to the back of Sharon's head. Looking at the cut on the back of her head Sandra smiled "Shit... I thought this was going to be life threatening, this is only a scratch. Let's wake her up, get her cleaned up and get out of here, shall we?" Sandra and Gwen brought her into the walk-in shower stall in the bathroom, she looked around reminiscing on all of the old memories when she was the President of the Californian Federation coming here to relax when things got tense. Collecting her thoughts they propped Sharon's body so that it was sitting on one of the benches facing the shower head. Sandra smiled "Turn it on." As the cold water hit her and began soaking her clothes Sharon's body jerked and spasmed for a split second before tensing up, as the tempurature of the water began to heat up Sharon's eyes opened slowly with no idea where she was and why she was wet, she slowly opened her eyes wider to see a tall lithe woman with short blonde hair standing to the side of her. Looking over she tried to think of who this woman could be but noticed that she was elvish and gorgeous before she could part her lips to ask who she was the elf answered "Hello, Sharon. My name is Gwen..." she smiled for the first time in what must have been days since the incident started, but before she began to enjoy the companionship of her newfound friend another voice filled the shower room "Nice to see you're awake and alive... I thought I had seriously killed you." Sharon knew from the voice whom it belonged to, and that she wasn't anymore than six inches from her. Feeling her blood run ice cold she turned her head to the right to come face to face with Sandra's brown eyes "What's wrong babe? you look like you've just had a close encounter with serial killer or something." Sharon could barely think as Gwen stepped behind her and pulled her arms above her head and started washing her underarms while Sandra smiled mischeviously "You know babe, I love you too much to kill you."
Two hours later Sandra and Gawende exited the building with Sharon in tow and entered the limousine, as Gawende got in Sandra gave a gesture to Sharon and she hesitantly got into the limo and was followed by Sandra. Once seated and the doors were closed Sandra hit a button and brought down the window between the driver and the passenger's cabin "Driver, to the Long Beach Naval Yard." with that the driver hit a button bringing up the window and hit the gas pedal and the limousine shot forward leaving a cloud of dust and a shower of lose gravel to strike the windows of the lobby causing some to get spider-web cracks from the rocks and pebbles, others to break. Looking back at the damaged and burning Capital Building as it shrank into the distance as the limousine drove along Highway 110 to the Long Beach/Los Angeles Naval Yard where the limousine stopped next to a leviathan of a ship, as Sandra and Sharon got out with Gawende shortly behind Sandra grapped Sharon's arm and smiled "This way loverbabe" as they walked up the gangplank onto the deck of the CFV BBGN-4 California. As she was guided through the ship Sharon looked on in amazement that no one was jumping to her defense to save her, she was forced to walk along until they got into the bridge where she let go of her grip. Sharon then feeling some freedom to move around looked out of one of the windows of the ship and realized with shocking clarity that she could see the CGP Executive Tower in the distance burning a large pillar of thick black smoke drifting into the air fanning out as a wide sheet to the east over the San Gabriel mountains with the Pacific breeze. Turning towards Sandra with fear in her eyes "You... you fired on the Executive Tower!? you tried to kill me?!" Sandra looked over at her with a small smile "What you didn't think I was serious about what I said over the phone?" Sharon looked on in disbelief "You did all of THAT from this ship" pointing to the blazing hulk that was formerly known as the Executive Tower, Sandra still smiling at her with an air of confidence "Just wait until you see what I'm going to do to it next! Lt. Commander Ricks, do you still have those Valkyrie Cruise Missile battaries online" Lt. Cmdr. Ricks turned his head in surprise... "Y-yes, Ma'am!" Sandra picked up her binoculars and zoomed in on the base of the CGP Executive Tower and began studying it before breaking her silence "With the first cruise missile I want you to target the lobby of the building near the southwestern corner of the building, like wise with missile two except I want it at the southeastern corner... missiles three I want hitting from the north at about floor one-hundred and twenty at the northwestern corner, and for missile four target the northeastern corner... missiles five and six I want to strike the inside of the lobby itself... the rest of the missiles target on the Parliament, the Senate and House of Delegates... all of the surrounding buildings in the plaza... target radio stations, comm screen stations, target emergency broadcast centers... anything that would let the people in the neighboring countries know what is going on..." Lt. Cmdr. Ricks began programming the targets in as she watched the skyline of the city... "You know Sharon, I built this city from this state's largest city into the capital of one of the most powerful nations on the planet... and now I am going to cleanse the city of everything you have done to pervert my dream... Ricks, those missiles ready?!" "Yes, Ma'am! missiles are targetted and ready for launch!" Lt. Cmdr. Ricks yelled. Sandra smiled "On my signal fire tubes in volleys of six. Sharon... you're going to be part of history" she laughed to herself looking through her binoculars she screamed "FIRE!!!" Lt. Cmdr. Ricks twised the key and popped the cover on the clear green button labelled 'PUSH TO LAUNCH' and jammed his thumb down on it. Within seconds the ship becan to shake with the recoil of the first launch of missiles. Sharon watched in complete horror as the cruise missiles screamed out of their batteries a few hundred feet away and scream towards the Executive Tower, within minutes the first missile would be making its impact.
On the streets near CGP, Executive Tower 1
Rioters who had earlier been demonstrating in the plaza had now dissipated into raging groups of thugs who upon learning that the police had withdrawn from the downtown area had began looting every storefront, building and supermarket in their immediate vicinity. Some of the rioters who were closer to the Executive Tower heard large concussions and then what sounded like a small jet... no... more like a rocket... a missile. As the startled rioters began running to gain as much distance from the area they were in now some began screaming in horror "The government is going to kill us! RUN!!! We're all going to DIE!!!" the first missile struck the southwest corner of the building followed seconds later by the second missile impacting at the southeast corner embedding itself seventeen feet into the side of the builing before exploding throwing a lateral blast of plaster, rebar, concrete steel framing, and debris that used to be office equipment blowing the glass windows in on all of the surrounding buildings and causing the collapse of some of the older and outdated buildings. Rioters looked on in awe as the third and fourth impacted the northwest and north east corners of the building at or around the one-hundred and thirtieth floor, embedding themselves before exploding causing the floors above and below them to collapse as if the entire northside of the building near the blasts of missiles three and four were an accordion. the massive blasts from the two missiles exploded outward with such violence it caused the glass windows of the Parliament, Senate and the House of Delegates to be blown inwards causing the main support columns of the Parliament to snap and collapse under the force of the blast caving in the roof on the south side of the building. Clouds of dust and smoke filled the air making it virtually impossible for anyone to see three feet in front of them, when the fifth and sixth cruise missiles flew around the building before turning back, pulling away for a brief moment before plunging into the lobby of the massive tower like a pair of cobras striking each other embedding themselves into the reinforced steel concrete foundation of the building before throwing off a massive explosion.
The force of the explosion could be felt as far away as ten blocks in every direction of the CGP Executive Tower as the blast forced floors two-through fifty-seven up inside the building by thirty-two feet, before the main concussion blew out the main support columns showering the entire area around the tower with a lateral blast of pulverized plaster, concrete, steel rebar, twisted pieces of steel beams and debris causing the structures that were still standing after the first few initial explosions to collapse from the force of the blast as well as the structural damage caused by the items being propelled through the air at mere miles per second.

Sharon looked on in shock from the bridge of the battleship as the cruise missiles struck the building with amazing accuracy causing the building to become shrouded in the large balls of fire emanating from the massive blasts which could be heard from the Long Beach Naval Yard, she watched in a horror as the top half of the Executive Tower becan to lurch northwards before collapsing down onto the lower half of the tower.
On the streets near CGP, Executive Tower 1
The rioters who the day before had engulfed the plaza and the streets around the capital building were now watching from several blocks away as the top half of the tower collapsed down onto the lower half causing the lower half of the building to begin collapsing falling southwards. Residents and rioters alike looked on in shocked fascination as the building disappeared in a thick veil of black, acrid smoke and debris. Minutes later, after the Pacific breeze blew in from the coast and started to carry the smoke and dust towards the San Gabriel Mountains could they see that the building had completely collapsed leaving none of its structure standing.
Onboard the CFV BBGN-4 California
Sandra watching the demise of the building from her pair of binoculars jumped in ecstatic joy after the CGP, Executive Tower had completely collapsed. Sandra then turned and looked over at Sharon "Well babe, here's where your part comes in, I'd like you to meet my assitant..." Sharon looked over to see Gwen and then she felt a sharp pain in her lower neck, and then everything went black.
