Welcome to the new season of NationStates College Football. This weeks 'Game of the Week' is the University of Jarridia Eagles versus The University of ViZion Babus. First, we'll start off with some general game information, before we start selling tickets.
The Game
For many years the rivalry has grown between these two schools, and now has emerged onto the internation stage. Games are played at either school, but believe me, this does not provide either team with an advantage. Out of the past 49 games, Jarridia has won 24, while ViZion has won 25. This will be the 50th anniversary of the games beginning, where Jarridia won a shocker of 13-10 over ViZion.
This years game will be played at Jarridia's home stadium, Clifford J. Durham - Jarridian Memorial Stadium in Shelbin, Jarridia. Stats on the current players will be posted shortly, as preparations for this years game get under way.
Jarridia - Eagle, Burnt Orange and White
ViZion - Babu, Red and Blue
----------------------------------
Tickets will cost $50 a peice, and priority will go to students of both Universities. (OOC: All nations are welcome to join in as a student from either school, or as a viewer at the game from another nation.)
There are 115,000 seats available at the Jarridian Stadium, and tickets will be released to the general public next week.
Let it be known that both teams are entering this game undefeated in their general conferences, so we are in for a real match-up this year.
Stay tuned for stats and game expectations.

The University of ViZion, with a population of 47,462 students this quarter, are getting ready for the game. So far, over 18,000 tickets have been pre-ordered, and that expected to rise greatly over the next week.
The team is practicing extra hard to be prepared for this game, and are preparing them selves both physically and mentally - they know it's not going to be an easy game.

The University of Jarridia has an astounding total of 65,754 students enrolled this academic year. Jarridia has been a football powerhouse in the WWA Conference, winning a total of 8 straight Conference Titles, a total of 20 Jarridian National Titles, and over 10 International Titles.
A total of 65,000 tickets have been reserved for students and faculty. Students and fans alike are getting pumped for what is going to be one hell of a football game.
Luckily, the past weekend was BYE for UJ, so they have had extra time to practice and become more prepared. The players know it will not be an easy game, but are fully confident in a strong victory.

The following stats have been released about each team:
ViZion
Alex Rack, RB: 518 yds rushing, 6 TD
John Hacksly, QB: 901 yds passing, 9 TD, 4 INT
Josh Becker, WR: 359 yds, 3 TD
Mo Vick, DE: 7 sacks
Jack Pace, K: 44 pts
Bob Martin, CB: 5 Int, 1 TD
Babu's defense is top-ranked defense across ViZion and offense is 2nd best in ViZion.
ViZion has had a spectacular year passing the football, with over 900 yds. Their QB has indeed led the charge, and picked up many of their touchdowns to this day. Look for them to go to the air multiple times, sending the ball down field and into the inzone. They are ranked 4th internationally for Defense, while their total offense tends to lag behind at 16th.
Jarridia
Michael Smurberg, RB: 964 yds rushing, 12 TD.
Thomas Roach, RB: 458 yds rushing, 5 TD
Josh Young , QB: 239 yds rushing, 462 yds passing, 4 TD, 5 INT
Adam Harris WR: 232 yds, 2 TD
Marcus Antinangelli, DE: 4 sacks
Mason Rogers, K: 33 pts, 51 yd Field Goal Attempt
Larry Waller, CB: 6 INT, 2 TD
The Jarridian Defense has been a little suspect on the run this year, giving up excessive yards rushing, and several touchdowns. However, their offense has been outstanding. Very rarely giving up the football, they have made many outstanding plays, while keeping most rivals off the scoreboard.
Stat wise, Jarridia ranks 15th in total defense internationally, while total offense is ranked 3rd. More in depth rankings are: Offense ranked 2nd for 3rd Down Conversion capabilities, and an outstanding 1st for 4th Down Conversions. They have also been outstanding for scoring when in the red zone.

Jarridian International Sports Authority Television (JISA TV)
Three men sat behind a semi-circular desk. Two were rather old looking with brown/grey hair, while the other was young with blonde hair. As the camera cued to his direction, then man in the middle began to speak.
"Good evening ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to JISA. My name is Roger Harrison, too my right is our QB Terry Macinaw, and my left is our show coach George Walter."
The other men nodded as Roger continued on, "Tonights show is going to be dedicated to this weeks primary game, The Jarridia Eagles vs. the ViZion Babus, and is it ever going to be a great game."
"I'll have to agree with you on this one Roger," announced George, "we're in for one spectacular ball game."
"First, I'd like to sum the game up before we start picking apart the teams," said Terry, "Jarridia has been a little suspect against the run, and on some occassions the defense has led much to be desired. It's going to take a lot for them to shut the ViZion offense down, and I just don't think they have the personnel to do it."
"Now wait one second," replied George, "ViZion has looked extremely weak on several occassions, with a near loss of 10-7 against bottom ranked Matich. The team doesn't hold up well under pressure, and in an stadium of thousands of screaming Jarridians, they'll be taken alive."
"I believe I will have to agree with Terry," said Roger, "ViZion is going to have a big game out of this. A win of this caliber will put them in the running for National Champions, and believe you me, they are pumped. Jarridia won't be able to hold back this offense, and the ViZion defense will destroy the Jarridian front line. Jarridia just won't have a chance this year."
George shook his head, "Jarridia will have to score early in hopes of keeping a strong lead. They will need atleast 3 TD's in the first quarter to atleast offset any mistakes in the 2nd Half. I still firmly believe that the Eagles will pull it out, and send the Babus home crying."
"Excellent point," replied Terry, "No matter how you look at this, it will be a close game. It will surely come down to the last few minutes of play, if not over time. Currently Jarridia is ranked #1 after their International Title last year, while ViZion is ranked #5. We should expect nothing less than a superb performance on both teams."
"Well put," said Roger, "but we are out of time for tonight. Stay tuned for out next installment. We will also be hosting the game in Jarridia, let the Power Struggle begin!"
