Gregor Schelzi sat in his office gazing at the two received transmissions being displayed simultaneously. One read:

Schelzi was torn, he called in a trusted friend, "Gen. Walsh, do you have a moment?" A large, battle-hardened man walked in and smiled, replying he always had a moment for an old friend. "Would you take a look at these two messages and give me your opinion?" Walsh looked puzzled. "You'll understand when you read them." The large wan strided over and glaced and the display.
"Well, that tip comes from someone who have had a decent relationship with in the past, I wouldn't blow it off. However, its only a request for a meeting and some trade, there could be little harm there. Besides my men may need a little action somewhere down the road," he winked.
Gregor sighed and thought long and hard before making his desicion. He replied to both people. To one he asked for some more details on this Allanea and Allanea received a reply as well:

While your request sounds quite reasonable we do not just jump headlong into situations we are not totally comfortable with, aka trade agreements. May you also be informed that we will not enter into any form of a binging contract (unless very special conditions were to occur). However, I am more than willing to send a delegate to meet with an Allanean representative and he will be inbound for the destination of your choosing ASAP

Dear Sir! I recommend that your representative meet with me at Port-Allanea, at the Running Boar restaurant. If you like game meat, then Running Boar will be a fine example of Allanean cuisine. Out of our personal admiration for your nation, the Confederate States government has authorised that the Commerce Department transfer certain large sums of money to your nation if it concedes to a free trade agreement with us. We would like to believe that this kind of condition is special enough.

Gregor Shelzi had heard enough, all day he was bombarded with warnings and objections to his agreement to the meeting with Allanean representatives. He was told of secret motives and vandettas. He had decided it was time to put an end to it and send Allanea a message they would not like but one they would have to deal with:
