A mystic job for you

The sun set on the jungle, coloring the sky in orange, yellow and even green. The man was looking out of his window in the highest story of the building. Since this building is also one of the highest in Sike, he has a wonderful view. He ponders what he was about to do and felt the urge to procrastinate it. He could find an excuse and no one except himself would know. In a sudden impulse, he switches on his computer, watches the start messages of his OS. During login, he typoed, because his fingers shook, in the second attempt however, he typed it: "darante" and the name of a formidable midfielder in reverse.
The forum, he surfed to, was bursting with activity and new HTML tags, his browser ignored, leaving the layout somewhat weird and making certain functions unusuable. The choice for this forum was easy: it was the only one, which codes the main functions in subset of HTML, which the SI understands. He logs in into his account there. Of course, he does not use his real name. Seeing what he is intending to do, it would be suicide. He has a nick, which is political, even though in a very discreet way: DakieNao. Only very close observers of Rejistanian politics know that Daki'he is former national goalie Nana Daki who runs for mayor of KaMaRi and Na~o is pronounced just as "now".
He feels as if he turns pale, even though his skin is black so it can not be seen. He starts a new thread: "A mystic job for you"
He starts typing, slowly, slowed down by his fear and the thought of the insanity, he is doing.

This request is the weirdest ever posted on this forum or at
least has a chance of 99 in 100 to be it. It is a serious
request despite this. I need the help of someone, who believes
in magic, but not fears it. An artifact was stolen and has to be
regained. A powerful artifact of Kansu. For the one, who can
re-gain it and bring it to the temple, it belongs to, a reward
of 1 bn lil'kansu'ny will be granted.

To apply for this job, you need
* spiritual knowledge (inikreasist would be best)
* the ability and determination to fight supernatural beings
* to accept the risk to lose health or life in this task

I am looking forward to your apply via email to
DakieNa~o@mailkonihektasema.jsk.rj.
In sign of relekhati and jaortir,
Dakie Na~o

He pauses a moment before clicking on 'submit', 'was there someone on the door?' he decides that it is his imagination playing tricks on him and then hits enter. The sun already set completely and only the monitor is lights the room.

Stepping lightly through her mansion-home, Keira Hamilton (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Keira_Hamilton) had nearly finished her morning routine. Her 10 kilometre run around the grounds of her home had been completed in a time close-enough to her average to be sufficient, that run being both pre- and succeeded by session of yoga and pilates.

She carried a steaming cup of tea in one hand as she walked barefoot along the polished wooden floors to her computer room. Of course with the wireless network installed around her home she could have simply opened the nearest laptop and checked her usual list of sites, but she preferred to do it in the comfort of a study.

Her study was a private little space, just a desk with monitors, a keyboard and a mouse, supplemented by a large comfy chair, which she sat in, tucking one of her tracksuited legs underneath her. She sat back and sipped at her tea, holding the mug in both hands to warm them up from the autumn rain that had lashed her during her run outside. A towel lay across her shoulders and she dried the back of her hair roughly as the internet connection was made.

The email, the forums. The keywords, the allusions and metaphors. It was a whole different world nestling just under the facade of normality. Her third stop was the most-open of the forums she frequented, where tasks could be offered openly, thanks to various encryption and verification barriers that she didn't quite understand.

Her eyes scanned one of the new threads that caught her attention. Rejistanian, she thought immediately. or perhaps Psytroxi, judging by the grammar and sentence-structure. There were words she lingered on, ones that brought back memories.

Artifact.

Kansu.

Temple.

Inikreasism.

Life.

Keira pressed 'back' and moved to the next forum, she had vowed not to be involved with that religion ever again. She knew that oath would be broken at some point, as most of her previous ones had been, but now was not the time for her to shatter this particular one, made shortly after she had realised a particularly stupid error on her part. But no matter. 'Dakie Na~o' - the person would be unlikely to use their real name - would have to find their sought adventurer somewhere else.

For Keira, this was not the time. She sipped her tea thoughtfully, trying to put it out of her mind. Her next email soon did that for her.

Svetlana Nemerova blinked in amazement at the thread in front of her. No, it was not the weirdest thread TheFiringLine.al has ever seen – after all, this forum has seen posts about carrying concealed submachineguns at a nudist beach, methods to make anti-tank weaponry from bamboo, or how to hold off Ermorian zombies with shotgun fire. As a moderator on TFL, she has seen it all and survived most of it.

Of course, Svetlana herself has been extremely weird – even by Allanean standards. He gun collection was numbered in three digits, and included such obscure things as Hashi infantry rifles and Ferengi phasers. And this was the sort of job she would definitely take – it was certainly better-paying then moderating a gun forum. But she needed a team mate. And she knew just who to call.

“Nog? You there? I have a job for the two of us.”

Telnet is a good idea for email, the person thought when he used the same application to check his personal email for the asene over the net to check the mail on that konihekta freemailer. He never realized the beauty before this task. But his attempts to search a freemailer in another country ended in the weird HTML interfaces, which slowed down his connection to a crawl. "xi mail'ny ines min'la'heki!" said the program meaning: "You have 2 new mails". The person starts typing replies to the very similar questions:

Hejida,

The task is to regain an artifact of Latarakansa. It was lost as
part of a treaty I signed, but now the nation is suffering from
the missing of it. At the time, I made the treaty with beings
from another world, I was young and I was unexperienced, I
thought a slight slant in the direction of the concept of Karela
would be no problem, but it made the nation become what it is
now and I doubt it can exist much longer in this "state that is
a process". You might know that Karela (the concept and its
implementation) is ravaging the nation, converting it. it
established the temple as supreme power in the nation. You asked
who I am, until I am sure that you do not report me to the
temple, I can say, that I am a high member of the so called
asene'het, one of the former powers in Rejistania, which was
independent from the 3 years election cycle. I can give you more
information in a personal meeting. The first step to find the
artifact is in Rejistania anyways.

He writes a different date and time for both of them and choses as location a bar in Sike kali, which is associated with so many crimes that starting a revolution by mystical means does not really count anymore.
He ends the mails with selected rejistanian politeness and sends them. Again he uses the name Dakie Na~o.

((OOC: Guess I'll hop in as well...))

As a Gnufasurian Muna Preistess, Aries (http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y245/Beta_Solution/NekoThing.jpg) was one very much in touch with the supernatural and spirital world.

Of course, she still kept in touch with the real world, including things on the Internet. While she herself was no computer whiz, she had many friends who were. One of them happened to visit forums which regularly dealt with the paranormal.

When he came across the thread title "A Mystic Job for you," he read through it and immediately called Aries, pitching the job to her.

"Hmmm... Sure, sounds like it'd be fun. Send an email to the guy, telling him I'm interested. and make sure to ask what's the easiest way to get in. Later." As Aries hung up the phone, her friend went to work typing out the email.

Hello good sir, ma'am, or cosmic entity. My name is Ash White, but everyone calls me Rangefinder, so you can too. I'm writing this in reply to your post, 'A Mystic Job for you.' It just so happens I know someone who not only fits your requirements, but she's also a *CENSORED*. She specializes in dealing with the spiritual world and the supernatural. I've already talked to her and she's interested in the job.

So, all we need from you is the location where she can go to get the job. Hope to hear from you soon.
