Anti-War march in Imperopolis poorly attended.
Yesterdays' much trumpted 'practice-run' for Friday's peace march in Imperopolis was poorly attended. The organisers put the figure of attendees' at just over 1,000 - roughly a third of what they had planned for. The police estimate was lower, at 900.
The Anti-War movement continues to sputter along after the loss of the Communist Party chairman and its key media ally - the Wuli Provincial Herald - and many media commentaters have labelled it as defunct.
Imperopolis Tribune questions PFRNC war committment - ambassador William Caixa silent.
The Imperopolis Tribune has publically questioned the depth of commitment to the war on behalf of the Prix-Financier Republic of National Commenwealth after reports came from that country that some of its military commanders and politicians have called for a cessation to the violence, and the resumption of peaceful relations with the Coalition.
The question - raised in the editorial of the paper this morning - has yet to be answered by the National Commenwealth Ambassador William Caixa, or the Unspecifistanian Foreign Office.
CUB slashes interest rates, economy begins to surge again.
The Central Unspecifistanian Bank has cut interest rates back to 2.5% as the economy begins a steady upwards trend. The cut - unexpected in light of creeping inflation - is beleived to be in response to soaring unemployment. However, saving rates stayed higher this week, remaining at 3% in order to keep the investment cycle running.
