Prince Babit had stayed awake all night to view the outcome of resolution #122.
Dismayed as he watched the closing minutes of the coverage by the B.T.V he called for his advisors.
"This will seriously hurt our economy that i know" he said to his assembled advisors "but just how much?"
The advisor for Enviromental affairs stood "We ran the numbers Your Highness and we envisage a cost of approximatly 5 billion Babits just for the first ten years"
The economic advisor added "Your Highness even with the support we have been promised by the U.N this will need an immediate increase of 2% in income tax on average and further rises in the future"
"So we have no other option but to refuse to comply with this Resolution" "What are our options" he asked the foriegn affairs advisor.
"your Highness we cannot afford to go against the U.N." "They could very easily remove all funding they currently extend to us if not expel us totally from the U.N"
"But we do not have the money to implement this, the report i recieved from the Enviromental office has clearly stated that the money required to implement this will not even cover the limited amount of energy we will gain from this" The Prince paused, "Gentleman I have decided. Let it be known to the U.N and to our regional members that we hereby close our doors to all U.N compliance teams and we also stop all funding on all programs to bring us into line with all U.N resolutions"
"Your Highness we simply cannot do this" called out the Foriegn Affairs advisor " I strongly urge you to reconsider this action. We simply do not know what action the U.N may take against us."
"I have made my decision. All U.N compliance teams are to be immediatly removed from the borders of Babitdom until such time as the U.N comes to its senses"

The Principality of Babitdom is a new country. We joined the U.N thinking that this body was full of free thinking intelligent bodies. However it would appear that the U.N is full of petty minded individuals who do not care about the rest of the world and simply think of themselves exactly like the dictatorship we fought so hard to free ourselves from.
We will not tolerate any region or nation implementing there ill thought out and oppresive ideas on our nation.
To this end we hereby issue the order signed by our esteemed ruler Prince Babit ordering the expulsion of all members of U.N compliance team from the borders of Babitdom. We also do hereby order the halting of all ongoing programs and financial spending to bring us into compliance with this and other U.N resolutions.
The Principality also hereby declares its intention to refuse to vote on any upcoming resolutions except for the repeal of this resolution. Babitdom would like to make it clear to the rest of the world that this stance will remain in posistion until such time as the repeal is voted for or against and then our esteemed ruler will once more look at our posistion with the U.N
