As the Host of the International PGA (IPGA), we are wondering if anyone would like to enter for the qualifying rounds for the 2006 IPGA Tour?

Should we allow women to play in the IPGA, or should we run a ILPGA?
Please Answer
Thank You

Only men should be able to play in this tournament!

Official Statement, Incorporated Sarzonian Government

Sarzonian law expressly prohibits any sport that bars males and females from competing on the same playing fields. Thus, we would insist that females be allowed to play along with males or we would not support such a venture as the IPGA.

The Sarzonian Professional Golf Association allows both males and females to compete in the same events without favour or prejudice. We would hope that a IPGA would do the same.

OOC- Hear, hear!

IC- Though "golf" not played in RBA, idea of having a tournament for male players only seems both anti-femaleinist and anti-competitive. Even giving maleinist acitivsts benefit of doubt and agreeing that males should be allowed to compete equally with females, having tournament that excludes females is taking things too far in wrong direction.

Allow both females and males to compete!

OOC2- Keeping in mind that the Bipedal Apes are a matriarchal culture...

Also, see my comments in Hockey Canada's thread calling for a female-only world cup of football. I believe that excluding women from professional sports or relegating them to special woman-only leagues is an awful practice. As I've commented elsewhere, I'd like to see the WNBA dissolved and the players drafted into the "regular" NBA. I was advocating for NBA teams to draft women from the NCAA back before the WNBA was even founded. Let women compete in the PGA and let the chips fall where they may!

The Druidan PGA would like to enter, but are unsure about a couple of points.

1) The use of golfers from real life, not the NS world. The government of The United Lands of Druida do not recognise any sporting event that condones the use of RL competitors. We would like to know if this trend will continue.

2) The method by which we come to these scores. For all we know, they could all be simply made up by the government of Shearwaters with no methodology whatsoever. We would like to know how the scores are reached.

The question of the participation of women is a relatively lesser point in Druida, where golf is begining to take off as a major sport with both genders allowed to compete against each other, but with not very many women reaching the higher rankings in the country as yet.

However, if such questions are not answered, the Druidan PGA will host it's own tour until such disputes are solved.

We will for the 2006 IPGA Tour allow women and men to compete along side each other. The Scores are not random. Its a rather complicated system, which ill explain later today or tommorow.
We will allow RL Golfers to compete but only a small number. We are hoping to have over 50 golfers from other nations. We will have a max. of 10 real golfers. Thanks

I agree with Druida on this point. RL golfers should have no place here. ASMV would like to join the IPGA but will not condone an event with RL players. It would be a shame to split interested parties into two leagues due to this one point alone. Both leagues would be weaker than one unified effort. I see you have allowed women to compete. I do agree with that. Hopefully we can all reach an agreement here

Ok. I'm still thinking wether to allow RL Golfers to compete. If we did add some, it would be a small number. RL Golfers could allow allitle spice to the game. Ok. Ive decided not to allow RL Golfers in. All golfers will be from NationStates. I hope this agreement is happy amoungst others. I will post more details later.
Thanks

Ok, ok i know it sounds childish but here goes. Im excellent at designing things. so i design an 18 hole layout for each event. I then select about 15 different coloured pens/pencils which represents each player. Then i tee off with each one (flick) towards the hole. You then play each shot (by flicking it) towards the hole and then into the hole. We love this game around my local area. I challenge my mates and the results go towards the scores of each event. So, a good person at this game may represent woods, els or mickleson. And a bad player may represent someone like Phillips but as they become better at flicking in this game the scores become better on nationstates. Do you understand this?

Do you want to join???

I kind of understand, but I will not be participating on the basis that there is a fair bit I don't really. Like how the devil do the players become better at flicking? No, it really does sound just a bit... well, crazy

I could change the system of scoring! Can you suggest another?

That settles it. Ive only got 30 players for the 2006 Season. I need 40 +
If i can not get 40 by This Monday, i will have to add RL Golfers to make up the gaps. Do you wish to enter?
I can guarentee you will go far in results. What if i change the system to a random number result system?
Its up to you.
If you submitt 5 players i can get another 5 from another nation (try) and no RL Golfers will be playing.
Hows that?

Druida will not be entering at this stage. The DruPGA will be considering it's options for the time being.
