The Golden Cup - First International Futsal Soccer Tournament
Welcome to The Golden Cup informatinal site for the International Futsal Soccer Tournament, this year hosted by the Second Empire of the Golden Throne (thus the name of the cup). It is hoped that a new league of IFS tournaments will allow for the greater growth of Futsal in the international world.

You may be wondering what Futsal is, also known as five-a-side soccer, or in Spain known as Futbol Sala. Fortunately for us all, and especially for me - so that I don't have to write it out -, Wikipedia has an awsome description of it:

Futsal is the indoor version of association football (soccer) that is officially sanctioned by football's international governing body, the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), as well as the Asociacion Mundial de Futsal (AMF). Its name is derived from the Portuguese futebol de salão, which means roughly room soccer (salão means "large room").

Futsal is played between two teams of 5 players, one of which is the goalkeeper; in addition each team may have a number of substitutes. Unlike some other forms of indoor football, the field is delimited by lines, and not nets or boards which the ball may be played off.

Other forms of indoor football games, which are played by somewhat different rules, exist and may be referred to as indoor football, five-a-side football or indoor soccer. Those games predate the formulation of official rules of futsal.

Wikipedia, however, does not explain the rules of Futsal, which are the following:

There is no off sides, however, the goalkeeper cannot hold the ball for more than five seconds outside the area. He must either drive it to the other half of the field, or pass it.
There are three cards: Yellow, Blue and Red. Yellow signifies an intentional foul, while blue is two yellow cards. A blue card evicts the player from the game for one game only, and the player can be replaced immediately. The red card is given after a certain number of yellow cards, normally decided by the ref, and the player is evicted for the game, and he cannot be replaced for said game.
You cannot wear cleats. Futsal soccer shoes are completely cleatless, and have a leather bound at the front to reinforce the toes, which receive the most damage.
The golie cannot pass the ball to the other half of the field without the ball bouncing at least once on his own side.
Six fouls in one part (of two parts) is a double penalty kick, without a wall.

Each half lasts twenty-five minutes, and the field is the size of a basketball court, but with all the lines standard to an eleven-on-a-side game; just miniaturized. The games are quick paced, and there is very little in the way of defensive play - it's mostly agressive. There are other tricks to playing the game, but they are tricks not rules, that nations will have to learn with experience.

How to Sign-Up
Reply to this thread with your interest to join, and include your roster. You can have as many players as you want, but remember, the game itself is played with four standard players and a goalie.

Role-Playing
The scores will done through one of those handy-dandy Java programs, or through excel (look at the next section of this post), but after the score is finished I suggest that people role play their games for the added effect. If you guys want I'll role play my first game first to give you guys an example on how Futsal generally works. Regardless, I think most Europeans here know how to play Futsal.

OOC: Problems
I don't know how to run leagion, so if anybody knows how to run that I would appreciate if they ran the scoring. Or, someone can explain to me how to use excel. I'm not going to use a game or die, that's out of the question.

Thanks.

And yes, I play this for a small time town league in Spain, so I do have quite a bit of experience with soccer in general, and futsal in specific. If anybody is wondering, so that they don't choose the same shoes as I will, my team will choose the shoes of my personal choice (the ones I wear), Munich Secos. Cool.

First International Futsal Tournament - The Golden Cup - Beginning

FEDALA, Second Empire of the Golden Throne - It has been released that the first annual IFS tournament (International Futsal Soccer) is beginning to take applicants for national teams to participate within it. In so far, those interested are Guffingford, Sarzonia and, of course, the Empire with their alledgly best team in the world, although they have no evidence to support that.

Regardless, the prospect for a great, and wide, tournament is large, and with these three teams alone it seems that some of the greatest soccer teams in the world will participate. The tournament itself is to be held within the Second Empire, although unfortunately it's to be held right after the conclusion of the War of Golden Succession. However, the Imperial Stadiums of Fedala (Vicente Calderon), Macabea (Euskadi), Soborguntia (Jack Murphy) and Targul Frumos (Qualcomm) are in perfect conditions, and thus will be used to hose the games.

Sponsors include Axe, the bodyspray deoderant, and Portland Iron Works, a naval industry belonging to Sarzonia. It's expected that the Imperial economy is to skyrocket during and after the tournament from the sponsors and from increased tourism, which will do a great deal of improvement to the national economy right after the huge War of Golden Succession.

It's expected to be a blast of a game.

Milchama announces participation in Futsal tournament

The MFA announced today that Milchama will send a team to the 1st annual Futsal tournament in the Maccabees. When asked why Calvin Chintermantoman said, "We can why not?" That logic is always enough for the Warriors who will send the following Futsal team:
Starters:
Goal: Tomas Klinn
D: Kenny Kahn
F: Erik Flarges
F: Daveed Limar
F: Foropian Nairishmir
F: Avi Allen
Subs:
D: Koyash Famosi
D: Yoni Tiflor
Goal: Quinn Thomas
D: Mech Fooshmir
F: Schlomo Von Pedro
F: Tali Geldman
F: Matan Flamel
F: Kooney Milopoulous

A lot of the players are from the Initu tribe in the northern mountains. They play a game similar to Futsal because the rugged mountain is not large enough for them to play soccer.

“Futsal, Comrade?”

Anna Teals looked across the desk at Assistant Secretary for Sport Lenoir with a mildly puzzled expression on her face. The man nodded, and leaned back a little in his chair. Although this was a government office, Teals found it rather small and cramped. But then, the Ariddian government wasn’t one to allow itself luxuries.

“Yes, futsal. Shouldn’t you have heard of it? You’re the President of the AFA.”

“That’s Ariddian Football Association, Comrade,” she reminded him patiently. “‘Futsal’ just sounds as if somebody misspelled something.” She paused. “What is it?”

Secretary Lenoir chuckled.
“Well, it exists. It’s like football, but. . . different. I just heard about it a few days ago, to be honest. . . Anyway, there’s an international tournament about to be held. And I’d like us to take part in it.”

Teals frowned. Then thought for a moment. Then frowned again.
“Does anyone in Ariddia even play it?” she asked finally.

“That’s what I’d like you to find out,” Lenoir said amiably. “If they do, cobble us up a national team, would you? The AFA is the closest thing we’ve got to an organisation to oversee all this.”

“But, Comrade. . . Why do you even want us to take part? Won’t we be thrashed?” she asked sensibly, increasingly puzzled by the man’s bizarre idea.

Lenoir didn’t immediately answer. He took a sip of his grapefruit tea. (Ariddians turn grapefruits into every imaginable beverage).

“Let me put it this way,” he said at last. “We’re taking part in the football World Cup. For the first time in, what, over half a century?”

Teals nodded.

“We won’t win it?”

Teals shook her head.

“In fact, we won’t even qualify, will we?”

Teals hesitated, then shook her head again.

“The other teams will walk all over us. The founders of the prestigious World Cup make their great come-back, and get smashed to bits by every experienced team there is, and probably by a fair number of beginners, too.”

“Uh. . . yes. That is. . . possibly,” Teals conceded uncomfortably.

“Now. . .” Lenoir went on. “This futsal thing. There’s no such thing as an experienced team in the world, is there? There’s never been an international tournament. For all we know, we may have good players somewhere here in Ariddia. Maybe we’ll even win the damn thing. That might make everyone happy, mightn’t it?”

“Well. . . I suppose so.” She paused. “Though we could get thrashed in futsal, too.”

Lenoir waved his hand dismissively.
“In which case, no-one here would care. People will only be interested if we’re winning.” He paused, and his face took on a contemplative look. “Besides. . . If no-one had come to us when we created the World Cup last century, there’d never really have been a Cup. I want to give this futsal thing a chance.”

Teals smiled slightly, and stood.
“Well, it should be. . . interesting to see how it all turns out. I’ll see if we can find ourselves a team. . .”

Caprine States
17-09-2005, 20:56
Caprine States's new Minister of Culture, former star footballer Hiram Hansen, was sitting in his office arranging figurines on his desk when a disheveled-looking goat burst into the room, clenching a crinkle-worn copy of the Caprine Cultural Gazette, a newsletter circulated among a small portion of the population which was presumably read by nobody.

This fellow slammed the copy of the gazette on Hansen's desk and quickly opened it to the page of interest, ignoring the very stern glare coming from Hansen, who was considering pushing the little red button under his desk.

"Mr. Hansen, Mr. Hansen!" Started the unknown goat, "I came as soon as I saw the article!" He indicated the article with an overly excited tapping. Its title read "INTERNATIONAL FUTSAL TOURNAMENT."

"Oh," said Hansen, naturally unimpressed.

"I wanted to know if it was too late to put together a team, Mr. Hansen."

"How exactly did you manage to get by my secretaries?" It had just struck the new Minister of Culture that crazies were usually detained before they could get to him. If this weren't the case, there could be many more shootings.

"Air vents."

"Oh."

"So is it too late, Mr. Hansen?"

By now, Mr. Hansen had pushed the security button. Just in case. "Not entirely, Mr...?"

"Sarikurt. Doran Sarikurt."

"Ah, well, Mr. Sarikurt, it isn't too late, but you need sponsors. And you need to file paperwork by the close of business today, else there will be no team going to this indoor soccer tournament."

"Futsal," corrected Mr. Sarikurt.

"Yes," Hansen noticed the approaching security guards, "And now, Mr. Sarikurt, you're welcome to enter a team if you can find a sponsor, a provisional roster, and write very quickly."

...

Hansen looked over rushed paperwork handed to him at the end of business by one of his undersecretaries. He signed it with a smirk, prompting the newspaper Hello Goat! to run an article listing the sponsor as Keçisüt, whose most famous slogan is, "We taste just like mom;" and a roster consisting entirely of students who play intramural indoor soccer at Maviyol Technical University, including one World Cup player who got all of one cap in the course of qualifying:

"So who can we send to this new Futsal competition thing?"

"Oh, crap." The Minister for Sport, Lord Rikaard Van Honjiik, didn't need this right now. He slumped at his desk, head in hands, and thought of the most-obvious answers. "Under-21 Team?"

"They're burned out enough as it is."

"Um," Van Honjiik thought some more, "AOCAF 10-winning team?"

"They're all still getting drunk with the Lord-Protector."

"World Cup team?" Van Honjiik was getting desperate.

"Off at a special training camp to drum the values of patriotism and a work ethic into them."

"That's all I can think of," Rikaard said, throwing his hands up into the air and leaning back in his super-expensive swivel chair, "that constitutes every vaguely-good player we have at the moment. We'll have to pull our team out and let Sarzonia whip Krytenia in the Final of this little five-a-side thingy."

The up-to-now short conversation between the Minister and his Unnamed Helper (no, not that Unnamed Helper, just someone with the same job-description) was quickly interrupted by the buzzing of the Minister's Intercom, which he duly pressed to listen to his secretary.

<Nick Matranga is here, my Lord, to discuss the upcoming Celebrities-Versus-Legends charity match on TV.>

"Legends?" Van Honjiik was now suffering of effects of a brainwave, something which didn't happen very often. "Nick Ma-bloody-tranga? I've got it! We send a Legends' side to compete! What's that dumb cliche they use for old players who still have skill?"

"Form is temporary, class is permanent."

"That's precisely the PR crap we need!" Van Honjiik stood up, with this minor weight off his mind. "Get a team of Legends formed immediately!"

So, with this in mind, we present the:

With the age-old footballing maxim 'Form is temporary, Class is permanent', the Starblaydi Football Association (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Starblaydi_Football_Association) is proud to present the Maestros. Every and we mean every one of these players (all of whom are over thirty-five, and some are in their late forties) is a household name in Starblaydia, part of the legacy that has made Starblaydia one of the greatest sporting nations in the world - though we do say so ourself. Each one of these ex-players has strapped on a new pair of Futsal shoes to play a little five-a-side while they still can.

This team has two World Cup Hall of Famers (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/World_Cup_Hall_of_Fame#Starblaydia) and every single one of them has been nominated to the Starblaydia All-Time Eleven (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Starblaydia_All-Time_XI). Yes, they're just that good - and that old. You could, in fact, perhaps make up the Starblaydi All-time XI from these players. If each one of these were in their prime they'd be looking at a World Cup Title, never mind a Futsal one.

As each player is so important to the national conciousness, they all have a Wiki article about them. Better for you to click a link if you're interested rather than for me to type everything out twice.

The Standard Starblaydi colour scheme for international football kits applies, plus 'The Golden Cup: 1st International Fustal Soccer Tournament', the match and date is also embroidered on each shirt for each game, making each shirt a future collector's item:

Home: All-white with purple trim
Away: All-purple with white trim
Shoes: Each player has their own shoe contract left over from their playing days, so wear indiviudally-coloured and branded pairs.

[OOC: Of course, I think I'm going to keep applications open until September 25th. Then we'll begin the classification rounds from out of the groups. So, go ahed!

For those who play the World Cup. What system to they use to make groups? Right now I have three groups, but they're in no way random - I chose chose those on the list on the first post, and put the first five in Group A, the second five in Group B, etc. Is there a better way to do it? Maybe papers out of a hat :-P

As for Starblaydia and Druida, you guys have been added, sorry that I couldn't give you even a crappy IC response. :-P ]

You can win the match 6-5 and say you dominated and I can RP as if it's a hard-fought match or vice versa. The basics of NS sports is that whoever RPs first gets to decide how the match goes, and for the most part, the second to RP follows that outline.

Granted, there are other particulars; for instance, some people may not care what you do to their players, while others are picky about who scores however many goals. Since this is a demo round RP, you can RP it however you choose.

Michael Stickland today has told a national newspaper of Michael Sticklandttttt of his desire to bring the cup home and put the national team in a postion it deserves. But the chances of winning there first ever cup in there first ever tournament is slim. If they are to do this number one keeper Dave Soearmen will have to keep his record of never letting a goal in. Also strickers Nick Stickland and Tony Baxter will have to keep up there scoring records if this team are to get anywhere. Michael had one last thing to say "If the cup does not come back to Michael Sticklandttttt I will make sure te team are shot."

Up For a New Cup

Not long ago if you had mentioned the game of Futsal to a typical man on the street he would have given you a funny look. But times are changing. Futsal may still be small when compared with other sports but its popularity is growing, particularly in the islands where a lack of space for large stadia has seen sports fans search for alternatives for their sporting fix. This has led to Futsal becoming a sport that has captured the hearts of thousands of islanders. And unsurprisingly, when the squad was announced to compete in the Golden Cup, every squad member came from the islands.

Hypocria Squad

General Manager - Gregory Sarrazin

When someone is needed to lead one of the nations more obscure sports teams Gregory is the man. He somehow managed to save the national Ice Hockey team from too much humiliation in their first (and possibly last) Cherry Cup appearance and now he’s in way over his head again.

Coach - Zvonimir Roeder

One of the most successful football coaches in Hypocria having lead Hypocrium City to five domestic titles in nine years. He stepped down last season because he wanted a new challenge and while he hunts for a new football post this is his new challenge.

Welcome Michael Stickland and Hipocracia to the Golden Cup, hosted in Fedala, for the First International Futsal Soccer Tournament. Your team shall be added to the database as soon as possible [when I get on a PC with a right button so that I can get your rosters up]. You have come just in time for the following announcements:

1. There will be four prizes, the first being the Golden Cup for the number one team in the championship. The three other prizes will be the Diamond Ball for the best player, the Silver Ball for the highest scoring player and the Brick Net for the best goalie.

2. There will be an international national futsal soccer team scoring system which includes three points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a loss. The highest team will receive guaranteed entrance into the championships in the next IFS tournament. The points carry on from championship to championship.

3. After the end of the First Tournament there will be a voting process for the second IFS Tournament regarding the host of the games.

Thank you all for your continued patience.

One question I have though, will there be draws in the group stage? If yes, then I have a method in mind. If not, then I'll know to plug in overtime.

It'll be a fairly basic scorinator, but it should get the job done. What we can do is set up two regions and you can scorinate one region and I'll do the other. We can also make sure to put each other in separate regions and I can scorinate your region and you can scorinate mine. If we happen to meet in the final or something, we can always ask someone else to score our match.

[OOC: Alright sweet. In order to answer your question. Depending on the number of nations, hopefully twenty, there will be five nations per group. Games within those groups can end in draws since the factor to get out of the group and into the quarter finals [or w/e they might be] will depend on the score [3 pts for a win, 1 for a draw, and 0 for a loss].

I can take your group and another group, and you can take my group and another group. And sure, if a game ends up being played between you and me we can find a temporary third party to decide to score.

Other than that, Adarsuvare you have been added.]

OOC:

Sarz: here's a suggested starting point:

=IF(((rand()*1000)-(892+(YR-OR)))>0,1,0)

Try that for about 10-15 "attacks" per side, and see how it goes, though you may want to lower the defense constant (892).

P.S. Replace "YR" with the cell containing the rank of the attacking team, and OR with cell containing the rank of the defensive team when inputting.

Mac: I'll post a roster shortly, just need to get it worked out.

OOC: I just fiddled with the Excel program and was wondering why I was getting a score of 13-7 on one of my demo round scorinations when I realised I was using four quarters instead of two halves. I did a round and came up with a fairly realistic looking score so the basic formula I came up with could work.

Having said that, I also included a bit for a RP/home field bonus should you wish to employ one. Do you want to have a RP bonus, and if so, how much of one would you like?

Anyway, I'm about to add you to my MSN so we can discuss it in greater detail later on.

:( Sorry to hear that. Alright, I'll update the list in the front A.S.A.P.

I guess this is the extent of the membership for the first tournament, so I'll make groups [really, this time I will!] tomorrow morning before class, and when I come back I'll fiddle around with Excel and see how that formula works and how I make the scores and figure the scorinator out.

Caprine States

Group C

Michael Sticklandtttt
Hockey Canada

Group D
New Montreal States
Starblaydia
Milchama
Arridia
Guffingford

Within the groups each team will play each other team twice. A win will score three points, a draw one point, and a loss zero points. Groups A and B will be scored by Sarzonia, and Groups C and D will be scored by myself. The two two scoring [in terms of points, not goals] will make it to the quarter finals.

Group D had an extra player, Guffingford. It would have been Arridia, but I skipped over Guffingford the first time on accident, so he's placed in Group D. The rules for Group D go the same, only we'll have either speed up scoring for Group D, or a lot more time for them to finish their group matches. Regardless, it should work out fine.

There will be a roleplaying advantage for the scoring, if that's alright with the scorinator Sarzonia - if not, then no. I would rather have roleplaying anyways because I have a feeling that if people see some good roleplaying done they'll come and visit for the next one, wherever it might be.

If there's anything else I missed, please ask. This is my first time doing this, so feel free to correct me, or give me some pointers. Thanks.

It already has a pre-championship match which was to illustrate how a futsal game was played, although it really doesn't do a good job of that either. Regardless, it's there. Consider this thread the OOC thread. Once we get over thirty players, then we can have our own discussion thread like the World Cup :p .

E-mail sent. If you need me to get the explanation of the formula (which is a really basic formula), please let me know. What I do with it is copy and paste the formula into the affected cells.

I'm very much in favour of a RP bonus, so we can discuss how you want that bonus to run. Anyway, you *should* get some of that in the e-mail. If not, I'll resurrect the text I tried to send last night and we can discuss whatever we need to.

Just as an aside, what Pacitalia and I do in the Basketball World Cup is that he scores the matches that are in Sarzonia (where my team plays) and I score the matches in Pacitalia (where he plays) to avoid having to scorinate our own matches. Thus, you'd be scorinating the Group A and Group B matches while I'd be doing the Group C and Group D matches.

A little bit on the rating scheme:

The International Futsal Competitions will have a ranking scheme, just like the World Cup, although I don't really know how that of the World Cup works, so pardon if it's different.

The ranking will have directly to do with the following: games won/tied/lost and the amounts of points. In more specific terms here's how the point system will go:

Win: 5
Draw: 3
Loss: 1
Scoring over 5 goals [per game]: 2
Scoring over 10 goals [per game]: 4
International Tournament Champion: 5

It might be tweaked as the championship goes on, depending on how much of an advantage some teams get and such. But I think that will be how it goes, relatively. I'll keep all information a spreadsheet on my computer, and after every set of games the new ranking will be posted.
Bipedal Apes
28-09-2005, 19:15
...after every set of games the new ranking will be posted.

OOC- The problem with updating rankings after every game is that you can quickly create a cascade effect where the teams that win right off the bat have a great advantage over the teams that lose right off the bat. It's more common in tournaments that are just getting started and have no historical rankings to rank everyone equally.

There are a lot of different ways to establish differentiation between teams-- look at An archy's current World Cup of Baseball for one, or Kaze Progressa's rankings combined with an offensive/defensive rating in the current Cherry Cup for another. Trotsgrad/Popular Freedom also had an unusual system in the one-off football tournament he ran a couple of months ago.

All of these (except the Cherry Cup, which in KP's system carries some level of ranking from the previous tournament) allow(ed) for different teams to perform differently without any team having an absolute advantage over others. Thus, you can allow for difference between teams without giving those who happen to get lucky and win at the outset an undue advantage. Otherwise, based on your description of how you're planning to use rankings, you may find yourself having to manage the level of competition throughout the tournament to prevent whoever wins first from running away with it.
The Macabees
28-09-2005, 19:45
Well, the way I envisioned it was that rank wouldn't give you a scoring advantage, because frankly there might be a new team that has never preformed in an international tournament, but is damn good, and that can't be translated into the formula. Consequently, the ranking system would be more for show and for boasting than an actual role playing advantage. I prefer to have the role play advantage pure role playing - so it depends more on how well you write and how well you role play in general, instead of basing it off rank.
Sarzonia
28-09-2005, 21:00
Pacitalia and I do a minor rank bonus on a sliding scale for the Basketball World Cup where we give a rank bonus for the top five teams. For example, the top ranked team gets three bonus points for rank, the second gets 2.5 points, the third ranked team gets two points, etc. I also do a RP bonus based on *quality*. If someone posts a very short RP or a RP that has a lot of mistakes in it, they get one point for posting a RP. If they post a well-written one, they get up to five points. I've also done a home court bonus for the hosts in one World Cup.

In general, that sort of system gives some reward to the ranked teams, but not an inordinate one. There are still enough random factors involved that can see a world number one lose to an unranked team.
The Macabees
28-09-2005, 23:35
For the role playing scheme I think we should go with the one you proposed over email [up to three points], since that's fairly simple and effecient. As for the rank, I'm really not sure how to undergo with ranks - it's a bit tricky. I guess we can impliment the ranking after the end of the First Tournament, and I'll just keep points up and reveal the final ranking at the end.

just a question aren't you from now on going to put the scores on the RP thread or are you going to keep putting it on this thread?

Good question, and thanks for bringing it up. I guess Sarz and I will continue posting them on this thread, and I guess I'll post them as 'official' scores on the RP thread on a subsequent roleplay [which is coming up right now].

Sarz, let's do the next match by just alternating the list. In other, less inaccurate terminology, the number one team in the group [not in points, but how I listed the groups on page 5] would play the last team, while the two teams listed in the middle would play each other.

For the third match, let's do it so the first two teams play each other, and then the last two teams play each other. Then we repeat all three matches again, and I'll post the top of each group and those will be the finalist [I'm keeping points].

Let's do the next match on Tuesday, and then we'll just do it every two days [not counting the day the scores were released - so, it would be Wenesday and Thursday, and the scores would be released on Friday].

Does that sounds good?

Now, with the first cup over, after a rocky socrinating time, and a few problems, would there still be interest for a second, in a month or so? This would, however, mean that we would need new hosts and the such.

Regardless, although the final score is up, I need to post the celebrations and the handing of the golden cup to Ariddia.

Yah, I'd be interested.

Likewise. Ariddia will be in to defend their title.

It was a great idea, btw! :)

ASMV would love to join, providing that you do this again. Sounds like it was a great idea, as well as a lot of fun

Sounds good! Any willing hosts? I'll still help scorinating.

I'd host, but I may not be able to find time, nor do I have any idea how to scorinate. If no one esle offers, I will, but I can't prove that it'll be good.

If you want, you can host it, I'll scorinate it.

That'd work fine, if you do not mind. Telegram me, ok, so we can work out the details.

Do you guys want to co-host, or shall we spice things up a bit and give bids out, and allow people to vote [which might perhaps increase other people's activity regarding Futsal happenings]?

I would say vote...but I'd surely lose. ;) I don't really care, but I'd be very interested in hosting (excited and crazy may be better adjectives).

I'd be willing to co-host it with Yafor 2. Woodstock Pact allies and all. ;)

Alright Yafor, we'll teach you the scorinating process; it took me five emails and one Excel spreadsheet to learn, you can do it too! :p

Alright, so Sarzonia and Yafor are the new co-hosts. What I have planned for the greater organization is to make a new OOC thread which is going to be titled International Futsal Soccer Association [IFSA], in which I'll have links to rosters, and teams that are interested in becoming full time teams can just change the said roster with new players and such, and new teams can join up. We'll design some sort of time table to decide when to begin these tournaments, and that same thread will have a sign-up for the inter. tourny, and then when that's over, the host will simply put up the RP thread. How does that sound?
