From Multiland National News

The Multiland Leader, PJ Croad, has declared a State of Emergency after power lines were blown down across the country by freak winds.

The situation is so desperate that the Leader has sent out vehicles to take people to his office to stay there temporarily, where the power supply is still working.

Citizens may have heard of the Emegerncy Underground System, but this can not be used due to a leak which has flooded the area.

The Leader urges all citizens to remain where they are if possible, or call the National Emergency Freedial Number on 0800 123 4567.

The Multiland Protection Service have been drafted in to assist with relief efforts.

I send you my deepest sympathy for the problems afflicting your nation. The International Development Bank Disaster Relief Agency is a non-governmental charity capable of providing financial and technical assistance. If you believe it would be appropriate, we would be willing to send in teams to aid with your recovery program, to work alongside the Multiland Protection Service, or to render assistance in developing long-term strategies to prevent future incidents on a similar scale. We wish you every success.

With hope,
N. Greisch

Thank you for your sympathies and offer of assistance, but the Multiland National News has just issued this:

Thanks to an incredibly efficient government, even in a time of apparent hopelessness power has been restored.

Electricians from the Multiland Protection Service worked alongside Civilian Electricians to create a large generator capable of powering the country for at least 48 hours, while the main supplies are being restored.

Whilst the main supplies are being restored by operatives from the Multiland National Power Supply (MNPS), government official will be working on an underground friction-power system to be used in case of any further similar emergencies.

Tha main power supply is expected to be fixed within a week. In the meantime, further generators are being created by the Multiland Protection Service. At least 2 more should be created before tomorrow.

--------

Thanks again for your sympathies and offer of assistance. I am a Leo - they shall not be forgotten.

This just in from Multiland National News:

Incredibly, all main power supplies have been restored already.

The Multiland Protection Service and Civilian Electricians worked around the clock to fix the supplies.

Back-up supplies are still being created.
