Official Announcement of the Confederate States Congress

Today, at 12:56 PM Reischburg time, President William J. Demarque of the Confederate States of Allanea has been officially impeached by Congress for 50 million counts of ‘conspiring to commit crimes against humanity’. He has been ruled guilty of indirectly causing the Allanean attacks on planet Hallad. Because no proof exists that the former president has actually ordered the strike in tactical combat, he will only be sentenced to a life imprisonment.

In other news, the Supreme Court of the Confederate States has convicted the ten Allanean starship captains who participated in the assault on the Halladi homeworld for multiple hundred thousands counts of murder each, as well as thousands of counts of crimes against humanity, as well as conspiracy to violate civil rights. Currently, the Supreme Court is expected to issue them the penalty of death via the Blood Eagle procedure, or to rule in favor of extradition to Hallad, where the locals would probably rule for something even more harsh.

In other news, a new Army Corps was commissioned today by Vice President Alexander Graham, designed to protect Allanea’s North-American holdings…

OOC: Would it be possible to somehow contact the now ex-President? Because it would be an interesting scenario if certain officials of the Amerigan government had some sort of connection to the former president and would do all in their power to prevent the intended punishment.

The Imperial Shogunate must declare its objection to your persecution of the captains, as it appeares that they were following orders as all good soldiers should, and should therefore be worthy of keeping their honor. An honorable discharge would be a much better route, should the need for discipline truly be felt.
