December the second is an important date in the history of Greater Prussia and indeed, the world. In 1804, Napoleon the First was crowned Emperor of the French. On that same day in 1805, Napoleon won his greatest victory at Austerlitz and lost his Navy at Trafalgar. Napoleon III was also corronated on December the second.

In 199-, Viktor Leipzig the First was corronated the first Emperor of Greater Prussia on December 2nd, a date he chose to display the continuity between the great Napoleonic tradition and the new Empire that arose.

In 20--, Napoleon the Fourth was corronated as Emperor of Greater Prussia. He titled himself Napoleon IV both in respect for the Previous two Emperor Napoleon's and the King of Rome, but to reiterate the continuity between between the Napoleonic Empire and the Greater Prussian Empire. All the better that on its 50th anniversary, the Emperor is named Napoleon and the heraldry of the Empire has been altered to express Napoleonic grandeur.

The Emperor Napoleon IV has hereby decreed that there shall be an Empire-wide week of celebration on the week of Decembre the second, the 50th anniversary of the declaration of Empire. A monument a day shall be unveiled across Reichsburg to showcase Imperial History and the glory of the current state of affairs.

International dignitaries are invited to Reichsburg, where they will reside in the Old Royal Palace in more than 5 star accomidations. The bill will be taken care of by the Emperor. The only request is that those who attend enjoy themselves immensely.

God Save Greater Prussia! God Save the Emperor!

*Reichsburg, Reichskamphen*

All across what had gradually become known as the Imperial City, decorations had put in place along with huge banners which were as tall as the buildings themselves and featured scenes of great battles and greate leaders both of Greater Prussia, and Napoleon Bonaparte's Empire.

Souvenir stands had begun cropping up everywhere as people began to flock to the ancient city. They sold replica's of the Golden Eagles that sat atop Imperial Guard standards, replica's of Napoleon's hat, and other such trinkets.

Several museums had even opened up in the city that was itself a museum. Most of the city had not changed architecturaly since the turn of the century, and most of the construction originated from the 1700s in the days of King William the First, the early 1800's in the days where Reichskamphen, then a part of the Austrian Empire, was given as a dependence to Napoleon Bonaparte's son and he was named the King of Reichsburg, and the mid 1800's when Reichskamphen was taken from Austria by Prussia.

On the outskirts of the city, skyscrapers had been constructed within the last decade. But beyond that, very little was new.

A huge monument was under construction in the very centre of the city. It was to be much taller than the Eiffel tower...and alot more elegant...something fitting the tastes of the Greater Prussian Nobility.

A new Opera by the Edolian Composer Hans von Gluck had even been comissioned by Emperor Napoleon and was set to be performed at the Imperial Opera house on the third day of the celebration. Composers from all over the Empire, and even some from abroad had written pieces to be performed during the celebration week and it was likely Napoleon would hear them all.

It was to be a week of unparalleled revelry, yet also unparalleled culture. It was to be a time when all could let themselves journey back a century or two and imagine themselves in another time...and it was also a time to look at the glory of the present and the glory that was sure to follow in days ahead.

The Imperial Guard and Gendarmes were everywhere ensuring that this would be as safe of an event as there ever would be. On the day of December 2nd, there was to be a military parade the size of which Reichsburg had certainly never witnessed.

It would be 7 days of remembering that would almost certainly be remembered.

OOC: Well, lets hope we are able to get the thread off the ground in order to progress the plot elsewhere. If this thread doesn't get started, everything else in the other thread can't.
