The Hammerite Way:

In Hammerite Sanctur life was simple and everyone followed the ways of the ancients. Be courteous to others, eye for an eye, all are equal, etc. But in the modern days a government took control. They extorted the public in vicious and secretive ways. The crimes they commited were heinous. High tax rates, expensive products, required military service and anything horrible you could think of. But within this society resided a rebellious group known as the Ancients of Brutix.

Ancients of Brutix:

Before the name of Hammerite Sanctur, the nation was known as Brutix. It was changed after the location of the Isles of Karuia were found and the community was relocated. When they moved they kept the ancient ways. But the neighboring nations pestered Hammerite Sanctur to elect a government and become an aiding ally in their stuggle for power. They listened to them and thus was created the Protectorate of Hammerite Sanctur. Civillians lived with this new change and renewed selection of jobs, few resented it. These few were true to the ancient ways. They soon saw the extortion of the government and started recruiting followers for their cause and named themselves the Ancients of Brutix. They vowed to bring back the traditional peaceful ways and dismiss the Protectorate from the nation. Rebellions broke out year to year and were always stifled by the military power of the nation. All was not lost...

Fall of the Isles, birth of a nation:

Life proceeded on in the Isles. Sancturians lived under the oppresive government and the Ancients kept rebelling, but a new force was arising. Unknown to all, the Isles were undergoing a change, this change proved devastating to the great nations. Underneath all the isles a volatile mineral was spreading with underground watertables. This mineral was known as Isogen and would instantly solidfy and "grow" once mixed with fluoride, a mystery to the best scientists, and then would explode violently when exposed to carbon monoxide. Due to a new health edict, fluoride was being added to the water to help prevent cavities. After a few years, fluoride sank to the down into the water tables, causing the isogen to solidfy and start to grow. Soon veins of isogen began to grow throughout the Isles and began to surface in the cities. All measures had to be taken to prevent any explosions. Vacumn domes started appearing where the veins grew to. But soon they veins became too numerous to cover and soon had to evacuate everyone. The evacuation was to late, for CO had ironically found its way into one of the vacumn domes and caused a chain reaction in all the isogen veins which had soon connected to each other over the many years of growing. It was like that of a 5,000 megaton nuclear bomb had been dropped on the isles. The sky lit up as bright as the Sun and was seen from the distant continent of Manium. It was over in 20 minutes. The Isles of Karuia were no more. All that was left were small chainlets of land untouched (OOC: Mystery of how that happened). On them were various people from all the nations, majority from Hammerite Sanctur and of the Ancients of Brutix. The rebels banded together and made a boat to travel the water to see if there were other survivors. They found the other surivors, helped make large ships, then set sail to find a new home. Not long from then, only a week after they left the once known Isles, they found a single island large enough to house 100 times more there current population (OOC: later to discover it was VASTLY larger then first thought). The Brutix members, being the majority, started leading the populous and soon set up the clans of Brutix and named the new home Iteron, the name of the first Brutixian leader. Soon the populous grew to a size where a government would need to control them. As the Ancients found, a government with a single leader was not the right choice. So they set up a commonwealth, so all would be equal. Thus was born... the Brutix Commonwealth.
