Allanea

Port-Allanea

"All ready, Sir? Do you have all that you wanted?" - asked the pilot. - "Or is there anything you need?"

Frederick August Rockwell the Third smiled, looking wistfully out over the airport/starport to somewhere on the horizon, where another colony vessel lifted off to New-Kansas, carrying another batch of settler seduced by the ‘frontier myth’ of Government recruitment poster. Of course, anybody who would trust a government advert was a fool not to be trusted on any kind of real frontier - at least according to Rockwell. On the other hand, the colonies worked- even better then their original 19th Century prototypes. And, cynicism or not, but somewhere in the depth of his soul Rockwell believed in the frontier myth. All Allaneans did. That was one of the reasons why the adverts worked.

He waved to his pilot. "No, Jonesy. Let’s go." The white seaplane, it’s tail marked by the flag of the United States of Allanea (http://www.nationstates.net/images/flags/uploads/allanea.jpg), sped out on the ‘diplomats-only’ runway. Previously, there was no such things - everybody, and especially the Allaneans, knows that Allanea knows no diplomacy to speak of . Its people are too stubborn, too arrogant, to rude for diplomacy. Still, recently, some nations accepted Allanean embassies. Then more and more. And suddenly, a diplomatic runway was reserved in PAX - to lift off the worst diplomats in the multiverse entire.

Still, take off it did.

Over Lake Nurnen

"So" - said Ambassador Rockwell, "Jonesy, how long to put down… ow!" - the plane shook as it descended through the dark, somber clouds over Lake Nurnen, and into what was de-facto the atmosphere of this nation. And again the plane shook insanely, throwing Rockwell - and very nearly, his supper and breakfast - all over the aircraft. Then, it all ceased. The plane touched the waters of Nurnen, slowing down to a halt as it performed a beautiful turn near the shore, where the local team of diplomats awaited.

Frederick August Rockwell the Third, Allanean Ambassador and former representative of Warsie Quarterin the Port-Allanea city council, opened the door. He was likely the first Allanean the locals had ever seen.
