International press statement from of secretary of the interior of the Republic of Ashlavar:
For the first time since our great nation's founding, we are opening our doors to negotiations with other nations. Our businesses are thriving, but would like to engage in free trade with nations around the globe. Our honorable President, Todd J. Fulda, will meet with any nation willing to engage in such an offer.

Appon arriving to Ashlavar you see that it is a complete capitalist society with few or no restrictions on business. There are large skyscrapers and factories everywhere you look. Those who work live well, and those who run businesses live like kings. In certain neighborhoods, one would see many malnourished people who bairly have shirts on their back, as government run social programs are unconstitutional in Ashlavar. The poor are viewed as lazy freeloaders in Ashlavar, since jobs are easy to get. One with sence would stay clear of those areas since crime is a major problem. The air in Ashlavar's capitol, Heliar City, is quite clean despite what one may think, due to the "pollution is a trespass" law that was signed in the early 1900's.
Chrisitan Churches of many different denomonations are in great supply in Ashlavar.
The President's mansion is in the richest area of Heliar City. Surrounding the mansion is large amounts of beautiful and large homes, many of which belong to corporation owners and the President's chiefs of staff.
