FORMAT
The eight strongest teams (as listed; one from each nation) are in one "group", while the eight weaker teams are in a second. The eight remaining teams (that is, those chosen by the FAs) will form the last group, regardless of their strength.

The eight teams in each "group" will play a direct knockout round until we have the three group winners, who will then play in the Overall SemiFinals with the defending chmpions, who are given a bye past the group stage.

The semi-final leads to the final, where the team champion will be crowned.
A third-place playoff will also take place, but only for the benefit of the national section of the cup.

For each win, a team earns three points for the nation they are representing (even if they have foreigners on the team). For each loss, the nation they represent takes a 2 point deduction. The nation with the most points after the final/third-place playoff will be declared National Champions of the Paul Dussis Memorial Cup.

Sunnyslope FC and RFC Vrelt go through

With solid 2-0 victories, both Sunnyslope FC and RFC Vrelt move on to the second round of the second Paul Dussis Memorial Cup. Sadly for Takil Lines, the recently changes Alabaster Lions, were defeated by the Hockey Canada Under 21 squad 2-1, making sure the Fmjphoenix does not have a clean sweep in the first round of matches.

Speaking of U21 squads, the Junior Vikings have been preparing for their match that will be upcoming in the Cup. Even though it will still be a little bit before they find out who they will play, they are watching group three carefully. There is a chance that they will be able to take a little revenge for the loss suffered in the Under 21 World Cup 17 champtionships.

There should be more solid outings for Fmjphoenix, as they look to again finish up to in the second running of the Paul Dussis Memorial Cup.
