Hi all!
No, I am not leaving. Experience teaches that people who post that they are leaving just never do. People who really quit NS don’t make fancy posts about it. They just leave. So no, I am not leaving. I am taking a vacation. Here’s why.
1. Allanea’s long-term political goals have been all reached. I reclaimed Axackal Province, I created a stable power bloc in Haven. I created a Khristian independent state on Earth. I worked long and hard for those. I failed many times. But I got there in the end. And now I am taking a break. I think I deserve it
2. Allanea has aroused a fair bit of anger, hatred [ I received a death threat at one point], and general bad blood through her lifetime. A lot of it is because I failed to RP my nation coherently, and people thought I was appealing to some stereotype or engaging in fanservice or somesuch. Partly I am taking a break to let all of this subside, and partly to detail my nation better, write up some descriptions and such so as to be able to RP it.
3. In coordination with 2, I made a bunch of mistakes, I think I will try to learn from them. Note that this is not the same as "my nation needs to change". It’s more like "I need to learn how to better express what my nation is". RPing is a lot of times about triyng to express what your character - or nation in this particular game - is all about. If you fail to do that, people may - and will, especially if they are OOC annoyed by you - think that you are a bad RPer.. In some cases that may even be true.
4. I am tired.
5. Once Siri discovers her new neighbor in Haven, the nukes will start flying. I don’t want to be here hen it happens. J
