'Sunrise over Axackal' RP OOC Thread
All OOC discussions from now on should belong to here. Thanks.
Anyhow. About the Titans. THey will be lost in the next post. I just thought it would be neat plotwise for Yasmarea to fall gradually. Look here, if Fluffy doesn't post, you have free reign over the skies there now. Just bomb more. It simply lends itself to better, quality-written, destruction.

If I am granted one chance to ask a favor, I'm asking for some popular resistance to Omzian forces once they land, which should include riots. I know I got a bit too "over-ticked", and for this RP I'm planning to have some failures on my side as well (aka strategic failures that will affect the "hearts and minds" campaign of mine in Yasmarea).
Sure, Omz.
I would think that the deaths of 60,000 civilians so far would do the trick...
You do know how Edolian cities are built? [I am the Expert on Edolia when he's gone. I was his IC arch-enemy for over a year IRL] They are masses of huge identical skyscrapers with super-narrow streets [there's virtually no cars, but excellent public transport]. The ubeskyscrapers house 40,000-60,000 people each. ANY bombs dropped there = massacre.
So what are your carrier losses?

I've scaled down my Whale Kings; they will assume their full (previous) size in a later conflict when we can fully justify the technology. I have made them 160 meters long (2x that of the An-225 "Mriya"), and significantly reduced their UCAV complements, among other things. The rest of my force composition is as indicated earlier.
So what are your carrier losses?
They are not hugely catastrophic losses, more like "putting them out of operations for one hour of two", considering that WPs are pretty weak as incendiary weapons when compared to some others... It will do a fair amount of damage in the presence of things like fuel (there are a lot of fuel on the decks of a carrier), but especially also considering that there are a fair bit of fire extinguishing/control equipment on a 500,000 ton carrier, no losses beyond personnel, some aircraft, and to the extent, some fighting capabilities of the carriers.

an observation on the austar satalites, would the satalite also disrupt and block all of you communications also?

I'll leave Allanea to answer that, since hes the one who studied and lectured on Electronic Warfare. But the answer is 'No.' I am jamming on a seperate frequency than my own.

then the prussian forces just change frequency

Perhaps... Like I said, I dont know much about Jamming etc, so Allanea's the best one to ask.

any idea where the constantly invaded fool is?

that didn't come out right: my only previous experiance of allanea is seeing him rescued by reichskamphen during wars
I haven't lectured or studied electronic warfare, but I have translated lectures for people who actually did.
Several ways to intercept this would be:
1. A directed-beam broadcast [one where the broadcast is a tight beam of radio, laser, or other rays] cannot be intercepted, and is very difficult to jam, save by pointing an offensive jamming device at the broadcast or reception device.
2. Military radios often use frequency-hopping - that is, broadcasting on a sequence of several frequencies one adter the other, to avoid jamming or interception. This could bypass Austar's jamming to a degree, unless he blocks a wide range of frequencies or can identify the frequencies that the Empire is using. If he can do this, it would be rather hard to change frequencies after the fact, given that there would be very few opportunities to inform the other troops on the change in frequency.

Is it plausible or possible to instead use other parts of the electromagnetic spectrum for communications, and would it also block our enemies communications if they used a wide range of frequencies?

Okay, I got the wrong names mixed around. Okay, onto the next matter. Omz, when are your forces landing in Yasmerea?

please read this thread and the ic one carefully, the sat belongs to your allies, they are using it against allanea, rethink previous post

Right, it looks like a peace-treaty has been arranged between Omz and Allanea over Yasmerea - http://s6.invisionfree.com/OHS/index.php?showtopic=351&st=0&#entry2403018

Well, until opposition has soften downed to the level when Omzian air superiority is feasible, and when the coastal defences collapses with exposed ground forces softened down. Add to that, I still have a minefield to clear. After that, I'll land a small contigent of light infantry and mechanized forces, which should be proceeded by the capture of strategic objectives to allow the ferry-in of heavier forces (though I guess that being 1000km away should make it easier).

Well, then I'll follow the same strategy as you. I've got four more Carriers and several more divisions ready to land - so I'll continue the attacks soon with my airforces. However, what about the Peace Treaty?
