The call of The Force - Arise!

Eyes opened. However, it was all completely Dark. Merco wondered how long it had been, how many years he had slept for.....
It was completely silent as well, and the air was still. He slowly arose from his marble chair and with slow steps began to head forth. He found the doorknob, he opened it slowly and then after so many years he saw the light and felt the wind. It hurt his eyes....
His mind was clouded. He did not remember yet...he managed to step outside disoriented, trying to look about as his eyes tried to get used to his surroundings.
His lungs were not used to the fresh air, and it was very welcome within. Then he stretched softly and finally his sight stopped being blurry. He was in a beautiful, a beautiful garden...hidden in a valley of the mountains of the planet. He looked back, and saw his...house, or mausoleum, where he had been sleeping for several years. He was still confused. It was only when he turned his sight to look towards another of those houses of stone that it all flashed back towards his mind.
His life. All of it. The rise, the fall. His beloved ones. His dead wife. His missing Master, the one that had taught him all about The Force. (As the RP progresses he'll have more flashbacks to make things clearer. It'd be too much to post now.) Then he remembered.....why he was there...
(Read while listening to Stein Um Stein by Rammstein to add to the effect)
Almost by chance, he was drinking at a bar, very depressed as he ussually was, only a shadow of what he used to be, when he spotted her. Ravyn Dijou, his Jedi Master. She had been like a mother to him so long ago and she had taught her so much, yet she dissapeared unexpectedly at a point. He thought, she had died. He was never convinced, and he was right, all this time. She was right before his eyes and he could not believe it.
Merco did not speak a word. Sporadically, about three times, she had returned after she had been missing, many years ago. All the words were then spoken. Merco's heart never got over the fact that his beloved Master and adoptive Mother just left when he needed her the most, and never seemed to actually care. He had made plans, for this, for the time when he'd find her again.
He waited for her to depart, and followed her. A brutal punch was enough to knock her out from behind. He dragged her body towards the location he had set, in that barren valley...
And so, with his own hands, stone on stone, he began to construct what would become his former Master and Mother's place of rest.
(Translation of the song which inspired this to happen)
have plans big plans
I'm going to build you a house
Every stone will be a tear
And you'll never move out again
Yeah I'm going to build a little house for you
with no windows no door
It'll be dark inside
No light will get in at all
Yeah I'll make you a home
And you are to be a part of it all
Stone by stone I wall you in
Stone by stone
I'll always be with you
Without clothes without shoes
You watch me working
With your feet in cement
You brighten up the foundation
Outside there will be a garden
And no one will hear you scream
Stone by stone I wall you in
Stone by stone
I'll always be with you
What a pounding what a hammering
Outside it's starting to get dark
All of the nails stand at attention
when I ram them into your body-wood (Meaning chest)
Stone by stone I wall you in
Stone by stone
And nobody will hear you scream
-----------------------
And nobody heard her scream....
After Merco was done with that he carefully had a bath, cleaned his outfit, and made a house for himself to rest, however this one had a door. He stepped in, sat on the marble chair-throne, closed his eyes, and went into meditation...deep meditation... He hoped he had died, however it only had sent him into some sort of "suspended animation" state...
Merco sighed. If The Force had not allowed him to die, it must have been because he still had a purpose...he narrowed his eyes. He would not be defeated so easily by life. Not again. Not in this second life. His powers had decreased dramatically now, but he decided that he would move forth and find his way. He dusted off his black, customized TIE-fighter, constructed by him and a friend long ago, and left the place...
Eventually Merco landed on a planet. He did not know which one it was, but it was populated, it was nice, green, (Think of Corellia in Star wars rouge squadron) and he landed his TIE in a secluded area so it would not be found, in a cave.....
Now, he began to walk, to wander. He would let the Force guide him, until he would find a purpose, or something to do, or perhaps a Master or Lord that could help him find his destiny....

Feel free to post, although I don't have much faith it'll happen. You can post about pretty much anything, a Sith wanting him to join the Dark, a Jedi Master trying to enlighten him, or perhaps some happening in which he will feel the call to help, or anything random that will get a RP going. It's fully open...

First bump, four attempts to go.

TAG for interest.
Okay, here's the deal. I might just join this, but first you'll have to indicate just what kind of timeline you're talking about here. How many years after Return of the Jedi? If this is an alternate universe that has nothing to do with the original, I'm not interested, but if its a parallel universe that is set after the original trilogy, I'm most interested.
Okay, so this is my idea. I'm putting two characters into this, twins in the Jedi Academy, both of whom are waiting for a Master to take the both of them together as Jedi Padawans. Unknown to them, they are the subject of the Prophecy known as the Force-born, two siblings so attuned with the Force that they have the potential to become even more powerful than Yoda, Anakin Skywalker, or Luke himself. However, they would have found that they are very attuned to the Force already in the Academy, and are able to acieve feats their peers can't. And this would be just a precursor to just what they can do when they finally become full-fledged Jedi Knights.
So, whether you accept me or not is your perogative. But, if at any time I feel this is not worth my time, I would just drop out of this; that's the way I work. However, considering what you've written so far, I think you're quite capable, and that's why I'm expressing interest in this.

That seems rather interesting, thank you.
I did not specify the timeline because I was not sure of it, mainly because as it is an open RP I would not mind anyone from any universe or timeline interacting (Though, if they're from before the TIE Interceptors I'd have to change that detail.)
It all depends on when Merco wakes up, really. He could have woken up before the trilogy, or after it, that depends on what the other person wants to RP, and so if you're interested in this being "A parallel universe after the trilogy", so be it : )
The only thing which I am not sure of is how your characters may interact with Merco, please enlighten me, I've got a few ideas but I'd like to hear your own first. What I can see though, is now with those twins and with Merco who is also powerful (Never as much as he used to be, I won't abuse it because it would not be fun to RP, but still) is that the Force will become pretty unbalanced, most likely, unless there is a third Dark sider party or unless one of them three became a Darksider.
Take care.

Since your Merco is a Jedi, I'm thinking he could be the guiding Master for my twins. Alright, as your Merco is a Jedi yet has a TIE Interceptor, it would only stand to reason that this was some time after Return of the Jedi, and that his TIE is a relic he had salvaged from the past. So, best is if the timeline is, say half a century or so after Jedi.
Alright then, I'm interested. However, I'm not interested in a 1-on-1 RP, I would prefer having a couple more RPers join in this. Anyway, perhaps there could be a bio for my characters later, but for now, the older twin is male, named Kieran Strider, and he wields a midnight-blue lightstaff, similar to Darth Maul's, which he has adapted to the combat style of Form III: Aratu. His younger twin sister is Rainie Strider, and her lightsaber is magenta, which she has adapted to Form IV: Soresu.
That's it for now. I'll be waiting along with you to see who's coming into this as well.

That would be nice, I'd be willing to have Merco do that. He would surely feel the Force being so strong in them from afar, causing him to sooner or later find them. Well, I hope someone else chooses to join, otherwise I think this thread will simply die out.

OOC: Hey, KM, just me. I got your tg, and will be putting Samani into this rp, but it won't be the one from the clone wars thing, 'cos he'd be dead. It's just the same guy, without his padawan.
Here's the profile, cut directly from the signup. Oh, and we shouldn't limit our Jedi force-wise like they did. Four powers? Sod off.

Well Sir Gothic Underworld, if you want we're all good to go. Maybe others will join as we keep going, since this will remain to be open.
So I guess, you both should go ahead and post, I'll do alike soon, heheh.

Samani Ansu swore as he surveyed the damage to his ship. There were numerous blaster impacts down the left side, doubtless from when the raiders first opened fire...
The Corellian system had a reputation for piracy, but Ansu had believed himself safe as he entered Corellia's atmoshphere. A trio of fighters had come screaming out of the sun, blasters spitting. Normally a small freighter like this would be easy pickings, but when it turned to face them and charged. the raiders scattered, one of them trailing flames. Ansu guided his ship to face the other pair and opened up with the Wanderer's blaster cannons. One of the pirates was sent spinning groundward, his engines hit, and the other had fled. With the raiders routed, Ansu guided his wounded ship into Coronet spaceport.
The repairs would be expensive, and Samani guessed he would be stuck here for a while...

(OOC: Looks good, mind if I join?
Name: Rex Voro
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Affiliation: Smuggler/bounty hunter
Ship: Hutt Kimogila heavy fighter
Weapons: 2 Blaster Pistols
Appearance: 6’, long black hair, dark worn trench coat, black flight goggles )
Cursing under his breath, Rex Voro looked out at his smoking wing. It would be expensive to fix, and unless he brought in the target who had just escaped so handily, he would not have the credits he needed to buy the parts. He cursed again, loudly, as he turned the ship around. He would have to follow the contract onto Corellia and take him there.
Coming in out of the clouds, he brought his ship in towards Coronet spaceport. His target would think he had finished the battle in space, leaving Voro the perfect opportunity to catch him off guard. Landing the vessel, he jumped to the ground. He checked the photograph in his trench coat pocket one last time, and walked off into the bay, scanning the faces.

Merco by then had entered Coronet, thinking to himself, "If I'm going to make any long distance travels I'm certainly going to need a better ship." His TIE was good, but it was not suited anymore for long distances. It was not like his old, lost one, which was suited for pretty much anything...
He hummed lightly as he walked through the city and eventually he ended up in the Spaceport, perhaps that would be the right place to find transportation, or to get a better idea of the ships. Truth be told he was amazed, he had slept for too long and now his TIE looked like an antique piece of junk....he then realized, that even if he did not have anyplace to go, he might as well just have some ship ready for it. He scratched the back of his blonde head, even though he seemed mostly elegant, at times he seemed simply clumsy, but at least he was not depressed like he used to be...
"Mh..." He slipped his hand back in his trenchcoat pocket and continued to wander about. He knew it'd only be a matter of time until something happened. He thought what to do, perhaps he'd go back visit Base X's ruins, perhaps he'd go back to his planet, no, it'd bring him bad memories.... His glacierlike bright, yet slightly lost eyes continued to look about as he walked...

Rex’s head pivoted rapidly from side to side, scanning every face and the back of every head he could see. It was raining heavily, and the street was slick under his black leather boots. Then, as if it was the will of some otherworldly force parting the sea of beings, the crowd thinned, and he spotted the side of a face he recognized instantly. He had memorized every meticulous detail of the photograph of his target, and there he stood, his back to him, moving slowly, casually down the street, through the grey rain.
His hands shot to his sides, gripping one of the blasters that sat in a holster at his waist. Instantly it was up, and trained on the back of his enemy’s head. Checking the aim for the last time, he pulled the trigger, and with a short scream, the bolt flew across the street towards his foe.
However, while Rex had been given much information about his target, his employers had neglected to mention that he was one of the Jedi order. Sensing the bolt, Ansu whirled around, saber ignited and ready to intercept the bolt. Effortlessly, he deflected it, and it flew back at Rex, going wide by his head. Gritting his teeth, the bounty hunter squeezed the trigger again, sending three more shots at his enemy, all of which he deflected with ease. However, Rex was not quick enough to dodge the one heading directly for his shoulder, and it burned through his coat and scorched the skin.
Shouting in pain, and letting the blaster fall to the ground, he clutched at his shoulder. With a look of pain and anger, he drew his second weapon, and charged the jedi, firing wildly at him. Ansu deflected the hail of bolts, focusing on his charging opponent. Rex lunged at his enemy, as Ansu flicked his saber off, choosing to engage his opponent hand to hand.
The Jedi threw Rex off of him, and the bounty hunter retaliated with a punch directed at Samani’s jaw. He blocked the punch, and as quickly Rex threw another at Ansu’s abdomen. Again, the punch was deflected, and Ansu took the opportunity to slam the bottom of his palm into Rex’s jaw, sending him back a few steps. With Rex recuperating, Ansu swept his legs under those of his foe, sending him sprawling to the ground. The Jedi knelt over his enemy, and grabbed him by the collar. Deciding it unwise to interrogate him here, he slammed the bounty hunter’s head onto the hard surface of the street, knocking him unconscious.

OOC: Sorry for any confusion, I'm Verghastinsel, and this is just my FT nation. I actually only posted with it by accident, but it's easier to carry on with this one now, instead.
IC:
Samani pulled the assailant's arm over his head, and lifted the man onto his shoulders. He staggered off balance for a second, but regained his footing and strode into the rain...
-----
Rex opened his eyes, and regretted it. Stinging light filtered through, and the pain from his shoulder was intense. He gingerly felt for the wound.
Bandages? What the hell?
His hands leapt to his sides, but the pistols were gone. Rex was wide awake now, sudden fear masking the pain as he got up on his elbows. He was lying in a small sleeping compartment. The rest of the room was tidy, steel surfaces reflected light from the overhead. A chemical dispenser was attached to one wall, and various compartments dotted others. A med bay?
The door slid silently open,
"It's not much, but you haven't eaten for at least two days"
Rex tried to speak, but his throat was as dry as a Sarlacc pit. He retched, and tried again.
"Where am I?" he gasped. staring almost blindly into the brightness, "And what the fuck are you? Who the..."
That business
"Samani Ansu, but I imagine you know that already. Why were you hunting me?"
The Jedi held out a tray of something not entirely unlike food, and Rex closed his eyes a little, "Because there's a price on your head the size of Coruscant. Don't ask why, they didn't say, and I sure as fuck didn't want to know"
Ansu unfolded a steel chair from a wall cabinet, "Who's they?"
"Important people who apparently don't care much for you"
"It seems that they care just a little too much, but only a fool attacks a Jedi with nothing but a blaster"
Rex grimaced, "I didn't know i was attacking a Jedi until i saw that damn 'saber of yours. They must have forgotten to warn me about that little detail"
"But why? Surely they would have wanted you to have every chance of success?"
Uncertain, Rex looked around the room for inspiration. He looked at the tray in front of him, the opposite wall, the ceiling, floor, sideboard, and back to Ansu.
"Maybe they wanted me dead more than they want you dead"
"Tell me why" said the Jedi, sipping a steaming mug of caffine with a smile.
"How would i know?" replied the smuggler, "I don't even know the guys who were supposed to pay me"
I know i've probably pissed off a few people in my time, but I've made sure to stay clear from big wigs - them with cash and the will to put a hit on me"
"A set up like this wouldn't have taken much" said Samani, taking another sip, "Someone wants you dead and are too lazy to do it themselves. Where did you get the contract?"
"Listen" said Rex, a slightly pained expression on his face, "you got anything stronger?"
Ansu returned with a small steel flask, "Vasarian Brandy?"
It was recieved gratefully, "Forget it. About the contract, you never get 'em from the guy who actually issues the contract" He took a swig from the flask, "there are relays. I got a note at a bar in Mos eisley"
"I saw that. With the right equipment it can be analyzed. Relays can be traced to other relays. They have no loyalty except to credits and their own skins"
A smile escaped Rex's lips as he took another swig of the Vasarian Brandy...

After a while of wandering about the place, Merco had made up partially his mind on what he would do, since he figured that walking about Coronet forever would not be such a good idea for a living...
He had returned to his TIE only to then take it to a spot just outside of the Port, and sold it to a rather greedy man that was there. He was tempted to try and manipulate his mind, yet he just found out that he lacked the energy and the will to actually get around it, and walked then out of the place with his credits safely concealed within his leather trenchcoat...
He counted them, but they would not be enough to get a long distance travel, so he shrugged his shoulders and guessed that he might as well just find himself a job, or something to do to get him more credits so he could then leave the place.
He decided the chance would be suitable for him to dust off some of his basic techniques, and so for a couple of weeks he performed as "Troublestopper" as he came to think about it, of the city. He'd simply wander about mostly unnoticed, until he would spot with the help of The Force a thief, or any kind of troublemaker. Mostly he did avoid serious injury and he tried not to use the Lightsabre at all, not to make himself too popular and easy to recognize, however he ended up having to face quite a skilled Blastergun user, and after sustaining one hit he had to ignite his Lightsabre to bounce back the third and fourth, causing his demise. Thing is though, he kept half of what the thief was going to take, so he gathered quickly enough credits for a couple of travels...however, now people knew that a Force User was around.
Next step, he went towards the spaceport to try to find someone with a good ship to take him to the former Base X, if it still existed...thing is, Base X was an abandoned, uncharted planet, the ruins of a Sith base from long ago. The reason why Merco wanted to go there were not yet clear, however he did have a map on a data disk of his which contained the information for a safe route to the place, assumingly it still did exist.
He could sense through The Force that it still was there, though. He began asking ship per ship, however they were either too expensive, or not brave enough to go to an uncharted area, or both. He moved then to ask at Samani Ansu's ship, explaining the situation, the way of getting there he had, and the amount of credits he could use, in the usual polite, intrincated at times confusing but very sophisticated speech he uses when he is being serious or talking to a stranger. Merco could sense something unusual about this person, but not exactly what.

Samani Ansu strolled into the Wanderer's cockpit, "We've picked up a passenger"
Rex Voro ducked his head out of a ceiling panel, his hands full of cables, "Who?"
"Some spacer, wants a ride somewhere. He's paying, so don't worry"
"You sure about this? I've had bad experiences with hitchhikers"
Ansu gave a small smile, "If he starts, I'm sure the pair of us will be more than a match"
"True" said Rex, and returned to his work.
"By the way, I've explained our detour via Tatooine" added Samani, "He's got no problem with it"
"What're we going there for again?"
Ansu's was no longer smiling, "To find a few troublemakers, and stop them from making any further trouble for us"
"Sounds good. when we leaving?"
"Depends. How are you doing on that power coupling?"
"Nearly patched 'em up. Should be resealed in about half an hour"
Ansu nodded, "Good, all we need now are a few more supplies...and we can leave at first light tomorrow"
"Sooner the better..." mumbled Rex.

Merco nodded to the conditions given, and smiled, the trip was ready and there wasn't much more to do, but now wait. Which he did, however he did help with the last supplies to make everything just faster. Without pause but without hurry, Merco seemed eager but not desperate go go, after all he had waited so long to wake up and have his heart and mind *somewhat* less corrupted than before...
Then, he sat down outside of the ship and closed his eyes. When the first light came, he would walk in to depart with them...
