Overheard on a radio broadcast of Latest Breaking News (World Edition)

....and the cookies will be delivered to the Knootian embassy tomorrow. Sandra Day, reporting live from Embassy Way in Goobergunch City.

Thank you Sandra. To prevent further misunderstanding, we'd like to ask our listeners how they pronounce the name of their nations. Since nation names are usually only seen in print, misapprehensions about proper pronunciations can persist for years before being rectified. The purpose of this topic is to avoid such problems.

To begin, Goobergunchia is pronounced /goob-ehr-GUHN-chee-uh/.

Vi2o

Vi2o: It's actually "Vito", with a hard "O". The "2" actually represents it is my second nation. (First one was DVito, and was wrongfully deleted. I voted for a delegate whom later greived and ejected everyone...including myself from the region)

I lost some respect for the mods after that.

O-mu-zi (silent i, and u should be spoken lightly) is the English equivalent. The Omzian version sounds more like Ou-mu-zii (silent i, extended).
