Greater Prussia Liberalizes Law Codes! Fundamentalism fades.

The Greater Prussian Empire was not a fundamentalist Christian organization from its founding, but became so shortly thereafter. It was doubly influenced by the successful reign of a Fundamentalist Emperor.

With a new Monarch on the throne, the laws are being revised. The thick layers of fundamentalism falling apart. We are fully in support of any fundamental Christian nation, and they will surely find a home in Greater Prussia...however I feel that what makes our region distinctive should not run along doctrinal lines. It is best that Greater Prussia should stand for moral justice, for the triumph of good over evil, for Capitalism over Communism.

Over the years, the Empire has carried with it the distinction of being the only Protestant region. It is now time that we take on a differant distinction, the distinction of being one of the most morally upright regions in the world.

We now welcome all nations and allies (OOC: who are decent role players), both Christian and non-Christian alike...Catholic and Protestant.

The Empire seeks to further its course in the world through negotiations and talks with those countries who generations ago opposed it, as well as those who supported it in times past.

Our blessings to the world.

His Imperial Highness,
Napoleon IV
Emperor of Greater Prussia

This is sad and disturbing news. I have taken pride in knowing that there was a region devouted to Protestantism. And now, it is bending to conformists and liberalist ideals. The flags of my nation will be at half-mast for a while.

Gov't Flunky 1: So, they aren't Protestant only anymore?
Gov't Flunky 2: Nope, they just changed. Guess they realised they were wrong about the whole thing.
Gov't Flunky 1: Damn, so does this mean we can't hate them anymore?
Gov't Flunky 2: No, we can still hate them. Now we get to hate them for being a bunch of pansies who bend to the will of others, and have no backbone.
Gov't Flunky 1: I guess that works. I mean, we should be happy that they kinda realised the right way to do things.
Gov't Flunky 2: Yeah, but as the great Dexter Holland once said, "Its cool to hate."
Gov't Flunky 1: Good point. Lets go burn some of their flags or something.
Gov't Flunky 2: Sounds good. I'll get the lighter fluid.

That response is unwarrented. And we were not wrong. Nor will we ever admit to being wrong. We still believe that Protestantism is the correct religion, as do Catholics, and Muslims, and Jews. However, our leader feels the need to attract more members.

Czar Alexei Alexandrovich Andropov XIV, the Monarch of Derscon and Archchancellor of the Greater Prussian Empire, was reading over this message.

"What in the name of God does Napoleon think he's doing?!?!" the Czar shouted to no one in particular. The secretarty couldn't hear him, obviously, as the room was designed so that all the sound in the room stayed in the room. Even the glass was outfitted so that laser mics, etc, couldn't work. The Czar crumpled up the paper and threw it across the room.

After his temper tantrum was over, he sat back down in the chair and started making up some diagrams and writing a letter to Napoleon.

Dear Emperor Napoleon,

I find your recent....liberalization of Greater Prussia EXTREMELY distrurbing. For too long the Greater Prussian Empire has stood unique as the only truely protestant region in the world, and you have thrown away the hard work done by all of your predecessors.

HOWEVER, I believe that common ground can be reached. I suggest that only protestant, capitalist nations be allowed into Greater Prussia Major, and seperate Kingdoms set up for those not Protestant and Capitalist, but who are members of the Greater Prussian Empire -- such as the Kingdom of Burgundy. This way we may hold our Protestant heritage as well as increase the scope of Greater Prussia. Otherwise, if you so choose to allow just anyone into Greater Prussia major, I may find it hard to serve under you.

I trust God will show you the correct path.

Deo Vindice,

Alexei Alexandrovich Andropov

Alexei folded up the letter and had it sent via diplomatic courier to hand deliver it to Emperor Napoleon, as to ensure only he reads it.
