How do you deal with trade and war?
could someone explain how to declare war and deal with trade etc.

War and trade are both things that are roleplayed. These things have, in no way, to do with any of the game mechanics, and you can't declare war by pressing some button (as stated in AMF's post). Trade is determined by everyone through roleplay as well. Each country usually comes up with a list of imports/exports (because most nations can't fully rely on themselves for everything. ((Real Life Example: The Middle East (mostly Saudi Arabia) provides the world with oil, but it doesn't exactly have the climate for most of the agriculture that it needs.)) That is all up to you.
Also, listen to Euroslavia. It always helps. ;)

Trade: you trade one nation for another.
War: with UN nations

If you're looking for further economic depth to NS, try this URL

If you're in a large region, you'll have to move to a smaller one first or the script won't be able to calculate it. You can always move to Meduseld for this, which is where the link is from. It only has two nations; easy calculation.
Otherwise, if you're looking for more "war", perhaps try Pacific Defenders (if you're minded to defense) or Lone Wolves Academy (if you want to be a raider). They seem to interact with each other quite a bit...
