Dominion – capital of the republic
Grey clouds hung over the city, reflecting the mood within the city.
Years had passed since the collapse of the democratically elected government, and the ascent of the ‘popular front’.
Commander-in-chief Anne Blake was the less than charismatic leader of the ruling council - ethnically Christian and aggressively opposed to the majority ‘native’ beliefs they had swept to power in the chaos that had been St Dominic as it had fallen into near civil war. With the aid of foreign troops and the predominantly Christian military , they had quickly installed themselves as the undisputed rulers of St Dominic. A highly organized and pressured plebiscite had sealed their right to rule even as Iesus Christi and Haruian tanks had cruised into the capital. These troops had never totally left the country, and replaced the old solid allies like Lavenrunz and Menelmacar.
The worse excesses of totalitarian rule had been avoided early on, but soon the regimes agenda became clear and gradual task of dismantling the old ways began in earnest, with the usual cost in blood.
Recently much of St Dominic had the feel of an occupied state.
As the ship Gwian glided through the entrance of Dominion harbour, a young woman of seventeen leaned against the bow rail, taking in her surroundings through green-hazel eyes. She looked the soul of repose as she lounged against the rail, but her eyes were busy. She swiftly took in the panorama of Dominion as the city came into view. Her eyes drifted over the former senatorial palace, now headquarters of the special military police, Its ancient walls gleamed white in the early sun--walls recently reinforced and patrolled by alert guardsmen day and night. In the air over the great harbour, aircraft flashed back and forth.
Allica shaded her eyes to look at them. Airpower was a problem for her, but it was a problem they were preparing to fight. Her mind drifted to her cargo, carefully procured weapons.
Someone sniffed behind her. "Bloody bastards." Sir Sarg Fieldo remarked scornfully as he looked at the dock, he pointed vaguely at the source of his anger. From gallows erected along the dock swung bodies "smugglers or prophets. Its getting much more serious”, Picking up his field glasses he scanned the bodies and the dock. He could make out clearly the words written on the gallows: Executed for treason against the Government, decreed by Commandant Mark Fieldson ,in the name of the gracious God and Commander Anne Blake.
Soon the ship would docked, and the gauntlet of government guards and foreign troops would have to be run. Allica offered a silent prayer that she wouldn’t end up hanging for the carrion on the dock, not this close to Zero hour.
Elsewhere like events fall into place
Niko Vlavo lived on a quiet, deserted street, in a small apartment within a black two-storied structure swollen with age. In front of the building was thickly grown little garden, and branches of lilac bushes, acacias, and silvery young poplars looked benignly and freshly into the windows of the three rooms occupied by Niko. It was quiet and tidy in his place. Shelves closely set with books stretched across the walls, and portraits of stern, serious persons hung over them.
“Everything under control?” asked Niko as he put his head into the Kitchen, the tiny room was crowded with figures who worked in silence. Hands worked feverishly assembling chemicals into tin cans. A simple assembly line for primitive grenades.
A golden haired youthful face looked up from his work “I’d rather be in the garden Sir” he said. “The kitchen is cold!”
Colonel Niko smiled as the boy grew rather frightened. The boys awkward and embarrassed face turned bright red. The others laughed, due to tension rather than the humor.
There was a peculiar atmosphere pervading all the three rooms, and the city. It was hard and cold to breathe in them; and one’s voice involuntarily dropped a note whenever words were spoken.
“Yes, yes, But its not long now, just a few more days” said Niko warmly, and he playfully tussled the boys hair. “Its almost time”

The capital
The night came, and with it the movements of conspirators. On streets where the rumble of government tanks still reverberated, came the rushed movement of last minutes preparations for 'Zero hour'.
Orders were flying from the clandestine command organization to units all over the city. Abort was no longer an option. The gears were moving towards whatever conclusion lay ahead.
The child rushed across the street, and Niko couldn't help but feel a stab of guilt as he watched him run the gauntlet to the neighbouring apartments. Niko cringed at the thought of the homemade grenades rattling around in the child's knapsack. He knew without a doubt using children was wrong, but if action was'nt taken the child may have no future at all.
Fighting his feelings, picked up his map. He knew that by now people would be making their way to assembly points all over the city, preparing for what lay ahead.
Allica opened her eyes when the moonlight began to stream in through the window, and for the first time in a long time, smiled. She felt content, at peace, even next to a man she barely knew. She smiled at the irony as she trailed a finger over his cheek while he slept. Fear and loneliness made for strange lovers.
She slid out of bed, and dressed quickly. She rushed off to join her people without another word to her lover of convenience.
Hamil looked down at his short straw, his body was chilled with the realization of what this meant.
"its me"
The eyes around him looked relieved, their bodies sagged with relieve in their army and police uniforms. These people in hours to come would be labelled mutineers or heroes.
Captain Hamil picked up his officers cap, and smiled.
"it will be my honour to lead the 1st and 3rd loyalist companies against the foreign barracks".

Thousands of Iesus troops still lived within the capital. Three barracks housed the forces, Mainly the forces were located at the ‘Ave Maria’ Barracks….a gloomy well dug-in garrison. Iesus paranoia was well entrenched too.
Commanding the forces was General Max Schan, a greying and less than brilliant officer, he had spent recent years enthusiastically tackling the task in front of him – Disciplining the natives and drinking. Under his command was a varied bunch of forces…..Mainly Iesus infantry with several detachments of Iesus armour. But he also had a few units of navy marine and air force infantry roaming about.
Newly arrived , Commander Patrick Batemann had anything but a menacing look about him. Apart from always wearing his legio Maria Uniform in a prime and proper fashion, he was completely average looking. It would take some imagination to be menaced by him….unless someone was aware of his personality. He was known as a devoted member of the nationalist party, and always eager to ‘do his duty’. He had recently served in the ‘redemption brigades’ in North Star where he had won praise from ministry observers for his ‘devotion to orthodoxy’.
He could be arrogant and overbearing, but he always tried to be personable, sadly his effects were often in vain……
He and the General had had a friendly ‘get to know you’ wine earlier that evening, and it had gone much as Patrick had expected. He considered the General old, fat and needlessly brutal….but had managed to keep this to himself ….St Dominic needed a ‘new broom’ and Patrick had hopes that he would be it.

The capital
The Sun crept into the sky
It was the hour. After years of planning, the strike finally fell upon the sleeping government. Columns of armed troops fell like hammer blows upon the preordained targets.
**********************************************************
Hashl military airfield was full of activity. The airfield was alive with movement and full of all types of craft. Alarms were sounding, red lights flashed blaringly and sirens wailed. and an anxious voice was screaming over the loud speaker.
"Alert! Alert. Pilots to their action stations. Alert! Alert!"
Everson Curtis jerked awake and rolled over, forgetting where he was and almost falling off the bed. He grabbed the bed frame and glanced around, the throbbing alarm was cutting through into his sleepy mind.
"Whoa" he mumbled and descended from his bed, pulling open the curtains to see what was happening outside.
Aircraft and helicopters were being fuelled, their engines were roaring and they looked like they were assembled for some kind of take-off formation.
Hastily dressing, Everson stumbled from his quarters.
"What’s going on?" he cried and grabbed a young mechanic.
Gulping, the young greasy mechanic gushed out his response "Captain! We’re under attack! Its rebellion!"
They heard a loud rumble sounding above the noise of aircraft taking off, in the distance a pillar of fire and smoke shot up into the air.
"Would you look at that!" Everson exclaimed. The atmosphere was chaotic but threatening at the same time. Something had happened and something worse was going to happen.
Within the city itself
Shots snapped out in the cool morning, and now were turning into an orchestra of noise, adding to the chaotic nature of the district police headquarters.
A hastily dressed Military police officer tried to give his report over the hololink even as the building shook with explosions.
"At 5:58am, an armed forced moved against this Headquarters. We were taken almost by total surprise. We’ve lost all the adjacent streets, and the headquarters building itself is now under direct assault. We have been unable to call in reinforcements from the other police units as subsidiary stations appear to be under some pressure too"
"appear?"
"Yes, appear. We have as yet been unable to establish contact with many of the units within the city borders. Sabotage is suspected"
"Go on"
"We have raised contact with the 15th Guardian regiment, they are attempting to link up with us even as we speak. They have their own problems Sir: if they are unable to break through to us within the next hour I would suggest our situation is hopeless. Requesting permission to evacuate the HQ"
"Negative. All units are ordered to hold their ground and await reinforcements. Command out"
The hologram flashed out
**********************************************************
Over the hololinks, the military council hastily planned its own movements. Senior officers of the council evacuated themselves to the reserve bunker networks well outside of the city, even as they ordered their troops to fight to the death,
Over Dominion, clouds of smoke and pillars of fire rose into the morning sky. Zero hour had come.

Before 'Zero-Hour' thousands of mobilized Home Army and Republican soldiers moved into their planned concentration points. Generally a orderly affair, little fighting occurred before the ‘Zero hour” itself.
Insurgents attack 100 government and foreign military installations and the town's key strategic positions. After bloody battles, their attacks upon the major barracks, the airports, train stations and the main police headquarters are repelled.
However, significant areas of the city's inner districts are captured including: the port, the main post office, and the state mint. Gas, electric, and water works are in Insurgents hands.
The heroic insurgents have captured a large amount of military warehouses. At this moment, a network of street barricades are being constructed, blocking the most of the city's arteries.
Next, we’ll hear from some of the brave soldiers in the field.
“radio republic broadcast”
With trembling hands, Niko Vlavo struggled to light his cigarette. Rubble littered the area around him, and so did the deformed corpses of fallen soldiers.
He tried to avoid looking at them, and instead tried to concentrate on matters at hand.
“Move up into the Bunker, it covers the bridge nicely. Someone strip the dead for ammunition and weapons.”
He turned to the blonde haired child “runner, take a message.” He scribbled a note down and stuffed it into the boys hand.
Valor bridge taken. Serious causalities. Expecting enemy counter attack shortly. Send reinforcements and heavy weapons. Signed: Niko Vlavo
Centre of the Insurgent zone
Hotel Rwan had been turned into the temporary headquarters of the insurgency.
The elderly General leaned against the table as reports flooded in. At 75 General Corban considered he was far too old for this kind of endeavour, yet the republican council had without hesitation appointed him commander of the resistance forces in Dominion. His years of experience outweighed the fact he’d been retired for over 10 years now, and the fact his health was erratic at best.
The young Allica circled around him, she was a heir to the ancient royal blood line, and had won her republican credentials by her importation of weapons from many sources. She watched the General making his command decisions , and not-so-secretly felt he wasn’t doing enough.
“General, in the name of her , shouldn’t we continue to assault the foreign barracks and the main institutions of government oppression. We must liberate the entire city.”

We welcome your support , but hope intently that the matter will soon be resolved. Already reinforcements are pouring into the capital. Failing a quick

Hope, friendship and victory,
CNC Anne Blake.
Passing the open balcony door on her way toward the large command room CNC Anne thought she heard faint gunfire in the distance. She ordered the radio turned on, news had arrived local radio stations were now in insurgent hands. She listened intently and finally, a breathless voice announced: "Freedom is returning –St Dominic is reclaiming its rightful place in history."The brief announcement was followed by the sweet
strains of the old national anthem, its wordscelebrating rushing rivers and orchards of blooming trees.
Suddenly a strange new emotion clutched the Commander.
She remembered her mother's anxiety, and the red stains on the bandages of some of the people brought into the shelter when she was a child. She remembered pulling her mother back by her skirt, she begged them not to venture out.
The city was quieting now as night fall except for some gunfire. Smoke filled the air and a red glow illuminated the horizon. Faintly in the distance the
sound of tanks rolling reverberated down the streets.
She realized with horror that in her a admiration for the insurgents was growing. She almost pitied what she would have to do next, she doubted now if she had the ability to do what had to be done. Could she really
attack her own people?
Near the army barracks
"Colonel Niko” she cried weakly. The taste of blood
and dirt over whelmed her senses.
He holstered his weapon and held out his good hand,
"Fall back!." His voice was harsh , but his movements
measured and reassuring. He leaned down to take her
hand.
She sprung, flattening him against the opposite wall.
She ran, but he caught up with her easily. She tried
to claw him with nails that had long ago been chewed
away. "let me go, you son of a bitch!" she railed.
Bullets flew down the street.
He grabbed her wrists, realizing only too late that he
was holding the wounded hand to tightly. "Stop it," he
hissed, " we must redraw!”
Hatred still raged in her eyes but she stilled. "You
coward" she accused.
The darkness was falling, but she could still make out
the look in his eyes. “Alright. Lets retreat” she
finally conceded.
Running low to the ground, they’d failed to take the
foreign barracks even with the assistance of his
command group, and the police HQ was also still in
government hands. Day one hadn’t been quite as
glorious as he’d expected.

The morning of the second day
A soldier firing from a shattered window turned abruptly, "Sir, they're retreating! Should we pursue?"
The Police lieutenant saw that soldier was correct. The enemy was turning away, and as they watched, ran and disappeared into the rubble of the street.

The room was colder than it should be for this time of year.
Her fellows officers hovered around Commander Blake like vultures. They waited to pounce on any perceived weakness. She know each one of them would gladly take her seat, and have her sentenced to death. Failure to
end this ‘event’ quickly would make her life a lot shorter.
She resolved to prove these men wrong, to prove she had the metal of her lineage. She had no intention to be ousted.
"A group of rebels, under the leadership of the former
General Corban, is what opposes us” the words rolled with solemn dignity.
"These rebels give themselves out to be regular Armyand they are endeavoring to create a civil war.
Gentlemen they are not, we will crush this revolt at its start” She looked around the council members. They flushed under her steely gaze.
" Last night the city was sealed off. She is separated from the country, and I have no intention to allow the city to simply wither on the vine. We will prune this tree ourselves before our reich allies do it for us.
Thiscity is old and decayed. The rebels have proved it is beyond hope.
The city of my birth will be destroyed. As Jerusalem was leveled by Rome , we shall make dust of Dominion.”
She couldn’t help but feel pride at the stunned looks from the councilmen, still somewhere deep inside her she felt a creeping sorrow.
“Yes gentlefolk. Brick by brick we will erase the past and the rebellion”

Hatusu read over the statement, Miss blake seemed to be honorable but very short on words. As things stood, Hatusu felt no worries about aiding the honorable forces against misguided anarchism, but somehow the approach to the situation seemed alittle odd. Images of Tovin, and the former sultan and the Lavenrunz approach to crushing that colorful city entered into the sultans mind.

Menelmacar
30-07-2005, 23:02
The destruction of the Dominican capital had a few more spectators - one of which was the Menelmacari Prefect of Imperial Defense and Homeland Security.
Lady Serendis nos Fithurin stood and watched the holo with an impassioned gaze. She stood next to a large table with a holoprojector built in... her hands were clasped professionally behind her back, the flames from the city shining reflected in her sapphire eyes. On the table, spread out almost like a model, was an impossibly detailed representation of the city, in real time. The Menelmacari Elenpalantír network of satellites enveloped the entire planet in a net of real-time surveillance so precise they were capable of reading an article in a newspaper left out on a park bench.
Serendis could do so right now if she liked, simply by zooming in. She could watch individual buildings collapsing, people fleeing, cars and trees and houses torn to shreds by the impact of heavy fire, as it happened, with barely a quarter-second of delay. But this, she thought, would likely move her to tears. So she had zoomed back to see the entire city, as neighborhoods were slowly consumed by fire, as muzzle-flashes of light in the hills around the city revealed the location of artillery pounding it. Occasionally she could see airplanes fly overhead and drop bombs, or the smoke trails of incoming cruise missiles. At least, at this distance, it was sufficiently impersonal that she could keep her composure.
Sirithil had been notified, of course... Serendis' assessment, and the Elentári had agreed, was that while what was transpiring was terrible, intervening militarily would cause the war to escalate dangerously and that many more people would die. The idea of covertly aiding the resistance, with say, financial contributions, or perhaps intelligence in the form of satellite downlinks very much like that Serendis was using right now, had come up. But the resistance had not contacted them, and Menelmacari intelligence had not revealed their existence prior to the outbreak of fighting. It was too late to arrange for such things. This was regrettable, of course... but unavoidable. So the matter had been tagged as something to watch, in hopes an opportunity would present itself.

The City
Colonel Nikos troops lay crammed around the building, all hopes of continued assualt had been crushed and now the soldiers tried desperatly to fight massed airpower and artillery with small arms.
Doctor Shala toiled in a world full of fire and bloodied water up to her gloved arms. Bodies taken away slumped withagony.
Brenda Shala's education and training never prepared her for this devastation. She had no political allegiance, but when the Colonel had brought in the wounded she had understood that she now was included.
She laboured with others like her, rolling dying bodies onto makeshift surgery tables. She struggled to stay awake. She was hot and sticky. Grey clouds hung in the sky for most of the day. The small of her back and her armpits poured in sweat. Everyone's did. The body odour and the smell of war permeated her nostrils.
Distant rumbling made the doctors crouch, A clap ofthunder that was actually high explosive demolishing the city.
Brenda took off her gloves and examined her callousedhands. Her feet ached.
The bruise on Brenda’s right knee still smarted fromyesterday. She had been momentarily distracted by a patients cries and been thrown from her feet by thedying mans wild thrashing.
‘BOOM!’ The windows rattled. Everyone instinctively ducked. There was a surprised silence.
"Fire!" someone shouted. "The Building is on fire!"
A bigger, deafening ‘BOOM!’
The explosion threw her through the back wall onto the cold, muddy ground outside. Dazed, she stared into the grey, wet sky above her. Putrid, heavy fumes filled the air.
Panic-stricken people ran around with their mouthsopen. She couldn’t hear their screams. The numbness of her senses gradually dissipated. Pain seared through her right cheek and hand. She moaned as she rolled
onto her left side.
Insurgent Command
The dazed insurgent command struggled on in their new basement location, not knowing that anyone outside the region even knew what was happening.
"General, medical station one has been hit. Runners say its a bloodbath"
"General, we're running low on all supplies, and seem totally unable to resist these attacks. i cannot say if we even have any anti air units still operational, actually I cannot honestly say if there are any combat units still functioning"
"and General, government armor has moved onto parliament hill. Direct shelling of our controlled zones is causing even more chaos."
"Lady Allica" With great pain the general turned from the runners "I am afraid it appears I am no help to you or our people. It seems I have nothing left to command. I suggest you take this news to your commmite"
He slumped forward as he finished talking, the energy leaving his body. The room entered a cold silence , it hadnt supposed to be like this.
"the nation was going to rise up, the people were going to fight and former allies would rally to the flag." Allica desperatly spoke to the room, but even to her the words sounded hollow.
The dream was over. The strongest dream cannot defeat steel.

Police Commander Jawkon sighed as he walked among the wounded. He was getting too old for sort of thing. his Garrison had repelled the inital rebel assualts, and eventually broken through to government forces. His gift for his valor and bravery was an promotion and this command. He was now a politico.

"Commander Jawkon, we believe rebel elements are in total confusion. 5th and 7th army groups are moving into the city itself now. I wish you to accompany them. Make sure they carry out just measures"
"as you wish" The holo flashed out, leaving Jawkon standing on Palriament hill with the wounded, and a wonderful view of the crumbling city. 7 days of ruthless attack had turned his old city into a dustheap. He hit his comm "Lt, we're moving."

The holo map of the city flickered as it was updated from live orbital observation. The 3D image showed the exact carnaged being caused, and for the last forty eight hours had shown zero resistance.
Frontline units had only reported the most slight resistance to their operations for days now.
General Jackson ventured a comment "It appears everything goes well?"
"Yes, dont sound so surprised. these people never had the stomach for this enterprise. now we can rebuild our nation on the ashes of their treason"

General Max Amon's shout through the intercom to the troops in the back of the armoured car had sent them scurrying to arms even before the vehicle had drawn to a halt.
When at last the vehicle had stop, the honour guard dismounted in hastily fashion. Balaclavas downs and standing at attention, they waited for the leader of the CLA to step from the front of the armoured…
Stepping into the sunlight, Max shielded his eyes….he always thought the sun seemed brighter in his native land than it did in his adopted home…
The honour guard snapped Max a smart salute as he trotted up the stairs to his new HQ - a former police barracks. He strutted around the building, shaking hands with the men and women he meet….so many new faces had joined the CLA militia over the last few years, most of them were fresh faced recruits from Iesus Christi but other regional accents showed the CLA was truly a multi national force…they lacked the hardness of those Max had commanded in the past..these soldiers hadn’t been forged in the head of radical violence, but yet they had determination and Max had to admit better equipped and trained than any CLA of the past. He sat at his desk and shoved a piece of gum into his mouth.
The latest in communications technology would keep him in close contact with his militias….Iesus and other Reich nations had been very generous to the CLA….Now had everything he needed to enact some revenge on his misguided former countrymen….
CIA HQ, NPA, Allanea
The dark, black, tinted H3 automobile - a most excellent variant on a Common-Era theme - rolled silently into the front yard of the New Port-Allanea CIA building. It was dark, and rain was pouring buckets down the windows of the car. Michael couldn’t help but feel certain compassion towards the two soldiers standing at the doors of the headquarters in the famous confederate grey cermonial uniform, which was aready soaking wet. Still, despite that, they were still standing at attention, with their weapons at port arms. They saluted him as he entered. As h walked in, he couldn’t help but also be mildly surprised as to why in the seven hells weren’t they even shuddering from the cold outside. A second later, his mind was occupied by other things entirely.
The Reich Observation Director’s office was barely lit, the man’s face invisible - as the back of his enormous leather-bound chair was turned towards Michael as he spoke - perhaps for secrecy, perhaps to inspire employees in the ‘proper spiriot:’ of their location and job, Michael did not know. It certainly worked, to an extent. He had to gulp before he began his speech:
"Director, the rebellion in St. Dominic is dying. It’s not clear what we can, or what we should do in this situation, but I think it does underline one thing."
"And what is that, Michael?"
"We need to keep watching St. Dominic closely, Sir. I have a hunch there may be more developments, Director."
"I concur."

The City CBD
The sun was slowly setting over the burning city.
With a quick jab, Jawkon flicked his cigerette into a blazing building watching as it caught fire before he moved away. The flames cast shadows across the makeshift camp, shadows that flickered over exhausted bodies and ruins.
The sooty rubble of the gutted city hall and of several private homes stood out against the sky. Jawkon knew he was only a hundred metres away from his old apartment, his home for years was now most certainly a burn mark.
Shouting and yelling carried over from the main gate of the Train Station. small arms fire still rung out, but Jawkon couldnt see anything but mutilated bodies covered in blood on the pavement - bodies was torn apart by war.
Dust covered government soldiers advanced behind rumbling tanks, there was no heroics that Jawkon could see. It was careful, and highly planned operation. Over head air attacks flew past, the attacks from the North Star bombers having joined the pounding the city was recieving.
Jawkon noted happily another reason for the lack of heroics, was the lack of resistance. He'd already seen columns of 'Civilians being marched out of the city. Eventually it would be decided who was rebel and who was just a civilian, but for now everyone was the enemy.

Beneath the ruins
with much regret Lady Allica spoke to her fellow leaders. The escalation in attacks from foriegn based aircraft, the advancing armour and now the arrival of CLA 'death squads' had broke Allica, she'd given into the old general and come to discuss the unthinkable.
"my fellow leaders, our grand gesture is falling around us. I have spoken the General and we toegther believe" she sucked in her breath, the next words seemed impossible to say "we must withdraw or surrender. continued fighting is pointless and only costing innocent blood to be shed"
A grey haired women , clearly of the era that could truely remember a free St dominic , started to cry. Other faces in the group turned away in shame and horror at what was happening around them.
Almost spitting, Lady Allica buried her rage." Then I believe we should all make our way out of the city. I'll send a runner to the government military discussing terms, I believe the General should represent us"
There was no disagreement, Allica noted they were all already weak as lambs.
transmitter one
In her shelled out cellar, the women who had operated the communications was told the news. She wasnt surprised, around her the evidence of the defeat was clear. She wasnt even sure if anyone was getting her messages.
Turning the transmitter on, she was aware this would be the last time to speak to whoever was listening.
Hi guys, I hope there are still some soldiers out there who can hear me. we've done our best, but it wasnt enough. so its time to save your own skins. They'll be another chance someday, so save yourself for that fight.

A pause. The operator wanted something better to say, something that would count.
Anne Blake is a bitch! HQ out
A small border station outside Freistadt
He woke up jerking himself to a sitting position, sweat making its way down his chest and back soaking his pyjamas. He found himself staring into the wall on the far side of the room, trying to focus on what was real and what had been a dream the sound of falling bombs still fresh in his mind. Captain Joergensen of the grenzeschutze truppe swung his legs over the edge of the bed and wearily walked over the room with the walk that a lot of beer produced to look at the pictures he had spread on his desk. The Reich ministerium of internal happiness had produced the pictures from the small spybots that littered the space everywhere. Everyone seemed to have them these days… He walked out in the cold nights enjoying a breeze as he relieved himself on the trunk of a dead tree just outside the house. He slowly looked up towards the stars and wondered how many eyes were watching him from outer space as he shook his dick free of the last drops. He turned around and started his staggering walk towards the house, hesitated for a second and then pulled down his pants and showed his ass to the stars.
-“How’s that for a moon! You spying bastards!”
Two hours later after the surrender of Lady Alicia was transmitted, a broadcast came. It was anonymous - or, rather, semi-anonymous. It was broadcasted from sattelites in low orbit in every available frequency commonly used in the Reich and the rebel frequencies:
My dear friends, the people of St. Dominic!
I know that you have received a signal - allegedly from Lady Alicia, but the Good Lord alone knows if it has not been faked by the authorities of the Reich - requesting you to surrender. I am not a person of authority - even in my own nation, I wield no power but titles of honour alone. No nation is sponsoring this message, and none will agree to bear responsibility for it but myself. My name is Alexander Kirillovich Kazansky. Remember my name. You will hear it again.
I know that your situation seems hopeless to you. I have fought for freedom for ages. Centuries, in fact. I fought in a single war of independence, two civil wars, six major conflicts. I have seen my nation overrun by enemies whom I could not stop. I saw millions of my fellow countrymen exterminated without mercy or compassion, by forces I was powerless even to slow down. And yet, I refused to surrender. And eventually, freedom won out.
I know that you are finding it hard to believe me. You’re losing hope. Remember - when the Soviet attacked Finland, they outnumbered their enemy ten to one, they had thousands of aircraft and tanks - and the Finns didn’t have enough uniforms. Their troops fought in winter sweatshirts. And the Finns won! Remember, when Santa Anna stormed the Alamo, he had ten troops to every man inside the mission - and yet hundreds of his troops had fallen, and the war was lost. Remember the brave Khristian warriors who fought in the Last Rebellion.
Do not surrender! If you are certain that the time to fight is not now, at least hide your guns, teach your children the skills of marksmanship and war, so that the fighting spirit will be preserved. But I suggest you keep up fighting - you may still win. Don’t surrender. Remember the Alamo! Remember Warsaw Ghetto! Remember New Orleans!
Leaders of the Reich! General Mathew Iesus! Sultan Hatusu! Anne Blake! Remember my name! I am Alexander Kirillovich Kazansky! Remember what I stand for! I want you too to think of the Alamo and Warsaw. Remember - there was a moment when Jurgen Stroop celebrated his victory. Remember that Santa Anna laughed as they hanged the last heroes of the Alamo. But remember also this: laughs who laughs last.
Remember my name. And remember, most of all, what I stand for - because what I stand for is something that you cannot destroy - but it is something that can destroy you. And it will. Sic semper tyrannis.
Oh and yeah, Anna Blake is a bitch.
And then, Alexender Kirillovich Kazansky began to write letters. He knew, that under the Treaty of the Wolf, his nation would do nothing. So he wrote them to other nations’ leaders. He believed that soon enough, someone would be found to listen.

Men sat about cleaning their weapons, writing letters home, testing their sidearms, and genrally keeping themselves busy during the quasi case-fire. From some of the groups, came snatches of boisterous song, while here and there, apart from the crowd, MPs were watching to ensure military discipline kept.
The glow of the stunned Genral Corbanes eyes when the hood was taken from his head. A panel of officers sat before him, grinning like cats who knew the cream was theirs.
"A drink?" Jawkon offered a glass of water with a half hearted spirit. He wasnt interested in formality, only in ending this crisis.
The General declined with a shake of his head. "I'd prefer if we get down to business. We seek to end this affair with speed, saftey and honour. our sectors are crammed with the sick and dying. few had anything to do with this uprising"
With a cough, Jawkon interupted "thats all very interesting. once a full and unconditional surrender has occured we will deal with all these injured" A smirk, and a pained laugh escaped Jawkon "come now General, dont look surprised. Did you really expect anything else? Formal resistance is all but dead, only Commander Blakes desire to save lives has allowed this meeting. Unconditional surrender of all forces still in the city -including leadership. Anything else will result in us returning to wiping you from the earth."
"It is a sad pity," The General said to Jawkon "that this had to happen. It is our divisions which have rendered their task so far easy for you, long gone is Dominican glory. The sad day of our uprising showed at least that we are able to fight the opression man for man, it is just a pity we have to fight at all"

The Ministry official walked through the rubble of the smashed neighborhood with Max Amon, around them masked CLA gunmen provided a bodyguard.
“it does appear the Saint Dominic government is taking this very seriously” Colonel Mary Hall stepped gingerly over the crashed masonry. “Very seriously indeed. Bridgette Iesus and the Iesus government are pleased.”
“The CLA has proved itself worthy. We have cleared out several nests of anti Christian forces, I believe we are proving further support to our cause is not wasted. Do you perhaps know the ministry stance on our proposal to restart foreign operations?”
“My Dear general, the Iesus governments stance has never changed. The global revolution must be supported…now…where is this camp?”
Max lead the way into a burnt-out warehouse….masked CLA gunmen saluted the entourage as they entered the ruins. A cowering group of wounded and bond prisoners looked up at the new arrivals, their faces blooded and bruised from the fighting.
“This isn’t all is it?” Mary raised her hanchechief....the smell of these things was disgusting.
“certainly not, this is but one group. The government has approved as many as you can manage”
“we don’t want any that are terminally damaged. Like that one…that’s no use to us…” Mary’s hand waved over at a bloody crushed figure being tended to by other prisoners.
“Fine..Fine….we’ll remove her from the lot..”
“excellent General. So we are agreed? 2000 for adult half-breeds? 4000 for full bloods, and an additional bounty of 500 if the specimen is a child…”

The Morning sun was rising over the city, outlining the aircraft of flight.
Everson Curtis, clad in his leather jacket with a pair of aviator goggles pushed up over his forehead, the flight gear wasn’t regulation but believed they were
lucky. Everson , chewing on the wad of gum in his mouth, took a good look at his flight. They have been flying almost nonstop for 3 days. They hadn’t taken any visible damage, but knew that exhaustion would be
setting in.
“praise the powers, this seems to be ending”
He clicked his comm-set on, in the distance he could see a wing of north star aircraft heading home. On his status board Everson could see that the North Star planes had demolished their targets.
“This is flight 66 to North Star fighters. Good games lads “
Even with the little resistance, the North Star aircraft had performed superbly, their accuracy and tenacity had been remarked on by all who had seen their results.
The City
Silence was finally starting to descend, the
unofficial ceasefire was dragging out into a regular
peace.
Runners ran from rebel house to house explaining the
latest news, few people were surprised as they heard
the news from their bombed out homes.
Unconditional surrender seemed like paradise compared
to the hell that was the city. Only the diehards
mourned the news, but even they knew the sense of it.
The news came to Colonel Niko not via an official
channel, but from the loudspeakers of a nearby tank.
Holed up in the ruins of a bakery, Niko and his
surviving soldiers hadn’t heard from command in over
34 hours.
“Dammit, its lies!. Lets shut that bastard up!” With a
crash, private soldier Endo made a lunge for the last
remaining rocket to shove into his launcher.
With a flash, Colonel Niko grabbed the young boys hand
“Not so fast. Lets keep listening. I know that voice”
brave soldiers, we have done our all but
the time has come to avoid the unnecessary carnage
being inflicted on innocent people. As of 7am, we are
no longer to resist. Lay down your arms. For the sake
of the innocents, lay down your arms and surrender”
“its Corban! Oh loving powers, its Corban. We’ve lost,
its all over“ The young soldier burst into tears,
everyone avoided looking at anything but the dirt.
After an extended silence, Niko spoke with a kink in
his voice “You heard the officer, weapons down and
hands up. Lets go meet our capturers”
Near the outskirts of the city
“That’s over. Not before time, this wasn’t what I’d call fun”
The jeep bumped along the terrain, the driver just nodded as the Colonel spoke.
“Now now now. What’s all this then. Stop driver”
Roped together, and being marched away was a line of civilians. All non human, and being escorted by militia gunmen. Up ahead a Iesus Christian officer walked.
“you there, what’s this? who are these people”

They had tried to do their best, it had been strange to attack targets when the greatest threat posed was tiredness rather than bullets. Hanneria and her fellow pilots had upheld the nations honor, they had carried out their missions.
North Star pilots arnt as colorful as their Dominic allies. They wore strict military issue flightsuits, and on hearing the message from the dominic pilots Hanneria had replied formly. " Flight 66. confirm your message."
With a sudden impulse, Hanneria turned her aircraft through a barrelroll. "likewise flight 66. likewise"

At last those who foolishly attacked the national law and order have been crushed, in record time we have destroyed those who would throw our nation into a stone age.

This is our Passover feast, when Christ, the true Lamb, is slain, whose blood consecrates the homes of all believers.
The deal had been struck at last, after years of constant harassment, debate, conflict and pressure at last Iesus Christi would have it way….
Bridgette rejoiced at Anne Blake’s final capitulation to her demands, it surprised and amused Bridgette to no small degree that the final reason for the agreement had come not due to any theological or ideological reason, but had come risen like a phoenix from he ashes of the rebellion…..the pitiful rebellion had given the government of St Dominic that final push towards righteous.
A deep pleasure surged in Bridgette as she saw the angry fury with which Blake’s government had replied to the rebellion….the purging of the dissidents in flame and pain had reminded her fondly of her late father….he’d have enjoyed every minute of Blake’s revenge, and now Bridgette hoped she too could do him proud…the colour flushed in her checks.
“My father was a saintly man, a King on Earth….Now my countrymen, at last we can do his vision of a pure Reich justice…at last we can finish the taste our ancestors started generations ago, finally we can wash the soil of the Reich with the blood of the impure…what we shall do in secret shall live in glory and honour for eternity...”
Years before Iesus ambitions in St Dominic had come to naught, now the hour had come to cleanse the land of the unbeliever and the unclean.
“The blood shall flow as a sacrifice of praise. Rejoice, heavenly powers…Sing, choirs of angels… The Passover has come!”
The audience room roared, the gathered officers of the ‘Ministry of social order’ threw themselves to their feet and shouted with joy. Operation Passover was to them a fulfillment of an ancient covenant.

Address to the nation. Senate building. 10/11/
Countryfolk, Officers, Members of the Senate, and ruling representatives of our nation:
Yesterday, the government of St Dominic took measures to assure our continued saftey. For awhile things may appear chaotic or strange but this is the price we pay for our survival.
As commander in chief of the Airforce, Army and Navy, I have directed that all measures be taken for our continued defense. They will help overcome this invasion from within, our armed forcesdin their righteous might will win through to absolute victory.
Many ask the need for this cleansing, many say there would be no conflict if we simply left things alone - Hostilities exist. There is no blinking at the fact that our people, our territory, and our way of life are in grave danger.
With confidence in our armed forces and those of our allies, with the unbounding determination of our people, we will gain the inevitable triumph.A triumph that will cleanse us of what makes us weak.
A state of war now exists between the St Dominic and the those who would rot us.
From tiny islands long forgotton by the international community came the sound of construction.
The airfields had long be left unrepaired, and now engineers went about making ready the strips for the incoming flights-the orkni islands were again buzzing with activity.
In the murky waters outside the Reich two carrier groups strived towards the shores of St. Dominic. Onboard the HHS GOD's Will Admiral James Strutten overlooked maps spread out on the table of his war room.
"We are not sure yet where the righteous government of St. Dominic wants our support so our orders are to get within striking distance of known insurgent areas. He looked up on the two captains. "[/i]There is several different allies involved in this operation, not only St. Dominic, and I'm pretty sure the coordination will not be without flaws, so make certain you hit the bad guys.[/i]"
The two Captains nodded, they were going back to their cruisers and would hit two known insurgent nests at dawn. It was a so called surgical operation. In the morning two villages would be left burning infernos.

IC: Ministry security personal in their tanned uniforms and Marines wearing white belts and tunics marched ahead. Every so often a number broke off and took up position at prearranged points. Young boys pushed in the forefront of the growing crowd and watched as the first of the Iesus troopers arrived. One of the Ministry troops took a packet of cigarettes from inside his jacket and offered it to some of the men in the growing crowd. Several men took cigarettes from the packet and lit them…a sign that all wasn’t tension between the Dominicans and the Iesusians.
In the distance the band could be heard. Tension mounted among the crowd who was now lining the street, many seemed close to tears while others looked as if they wanted to shout for joy. Soon a spectacular sight greeted the crowd…. Red uniforms, blue uniforms, green uniforms, khaki uniforms; peaked caps, riotmasks, balaklavas; rifles, heavy weapons and lances; Trucks, tanks and horses. All types of Iesus regiments moved down the road in near perfect military formation.
On top his white war-horse, General Maugham waved to the crowd….his tan uniform of the Ministry of Social order marked him as one of Bridgettes own.
He was here on Bridgettes personal authority, he was here to serve Miss Blake.

Ever since the severing of all diplomatic ties with the Reich, there hadn't been a single Prussian citizen who ever set foot on its soil. Even most of the spies and sleepers kept in the Reich, the ones that weren't caught and executed, had been cut from the payroll in the Emperor's enthusiasm to be done with the whole mess.
The few people that remained in the Emperor's service in the land were of very little effect at all. They held no great position or really did anything of any importance...with one exception. It was discovered after the whole affair that a single person in the Emperor's pay had repeatedly tried to contact the Imperial Government to send any assistance they could to the rebellion. Due to incompetance, and perhaps a bit of disdain for the Reich and its affairs in general, the matter had never been brought to the attention of anyone able to do anything about it.
What few men he had left, though, Napoleon used to spread the word among the cells of the revolutionaries that remained uncaptured or killed that the Empire was on their side. That, though the rest of the world may choose to ignore their struggle for freedom, Napoleon had heard their cries.
OOC: Don't worry, I won't mess anything up if you have a storyline all cobbled together. Didn't notice this until now. Further, I can make this my last post if my presence in this RP isn't welcome.
Onboard the "HHS GOD's Will" Admiral James Strutten walked up and down inspecting his people.
-"It is very important that you make sure people behave. This is not another bloody pagan country! This is part of The Reich!" He looked at the assembled officers. "We are acting with the permission of the president Anne Blake, we are here to make peace. That's why I trust you to make your men behave civilized."
He turned around and walked into his room while his adjutants were dismissing the officers. They were deploying a 4 Panzer companies and more than 8,000 men. This was the biggest Veganian deployment since Bendecitia. That had ended in a bloodbath but this time there was well disciplined troops. He would make sure they would keep the peace and get rid of any insurgents.

Crying in pain she her side, blood poured from the wound. She left her strength seeping from her wound.
She felt hand on her body, a hand firmly holding hers pulling her from the debris. She looked up, her eyes mirroring both her pain and gratitude, and placed her bloody hand in his. With a pull, Colonel Niko brought her to her feet. There were a few gunshots, and then silence.
“My Lady, you’ll live it’s only a flesh wound. You’d better tell me you still have a gun on you”
“I do, Colonel,” said Allica, trying to sound courageous, but not doing so very successfully. “I thought you’d have surrendered”
”I did” Niko went grey as he remembered what had happened “We can discuss that latter. Time to get you out of the city” He grabbed her and ran through the rubble. The dawn had come, and showed them the destruction that had befallen the city. Even no they could still hear the odd gunshot and explosion.

General Maugham had instructed the ministry Special Operations Group to act with discretion and calm in the delicate matter of the handing over of ‘prisoners of interest’ from the local government to the Iesus Government. While everything was legal and ‘above board’ both Iesus and Dominican governments had felt it advisable the deportation to Iesus of these ‘specials’ remain discrete…..
The S.O.G troopers calmly worked their way through the first of the detention camps. Picking out those who would be relocated. Bridgette herself was rumoured to be directly organising the S.O.G forces and their operations…..whatever the truth the operations were the crux of the deal between Bridgette and Anne Blake.

The guard waved his baton at the lethargic prisoners as they climbed into the back of the truck. They were a varied group, all ages, heights and of both genders. The only unifying feature being metahumanism…..the prisoners were made up exclusively from the St Dominic meta population.
The prisoners boarded the trucks, each of which had a Red cross Emblem as well as the usual Iesus fascist markings. Many grumbled, some even openly spat insults at the soldiers.
There had been some worse trouble from some of the metas….many hadn’t been keen on this impromptu deportation to Iesus by the Inquisition medical authority. Vicious baton blows, and the threat of lethal force had somewhat subdued the prisoners…for now at least.
“Careful Sarge. Bridgette wont be happy with sloppy work ” Doctor Cushing gently reminded a soldier as he swung his baton at a slow moving pointy eared meta.
“Yes Captain! Sorry Captain! Move freak” With a shove the soldier pushed the prisoner into the truck.
The Doctor rolled his eyes and handed the Sergeant his orders “To be taken to the loading docks….make sure they all get there and are unloaded carefully onto the navy cargo ship Maria Rose…understood?”
“Sir Yes Sir!” The sergeant gave the fascist salute and didn’t even think to question the orders. Whatever Inquisition medical doctors wanted done….was done…
General Maugham jumped from his jeep and looked at his watch. He hoped he wasn’t late for the meeting.
He looked over at his driver and laughed “The roads in this country are terrible..you’d think they’d had a war or something. I should have taken my horse…wait here. I’ll be back when I’m back” Patting down his uniform down as he went, he rushed to his meeting.

Soft and sleek, Miss Blake’s Gray skirt and uniform was extremely light and comfortable.
She rose to her feet and welcomed the general.
“It is my pleasure to have you here”
With little attention she handed over the briefing papers.
“You’ll find your assigned security areas in there. I understand you have already started removing the nonhumans. Good but remember you are here first and foremost to ensure the security of my reign.
In that report you’ll find the numbers your leader has been insisting on. ”

Colonel Niko sat with Allica. They had sat quietly for over an hour.
Throwing the remains of her rations aside, Allica turned to the colonel and spoke
“A young child was lost. Lost in the middle of the city. Lost in the middle a terrible war. When she approached my father’s group she had only enough strength to crawl and beg for their assistance. Every young child in the group already carried an even younger child on their back. All the adults carried with them just enough food for the group to survive. No one had the strength to carry the girl. All they could do was share the little food they had with her and move on. They were forced to leave the child behind, alone, to eventually meet the same fate as the rest of her family.
My father told me of how distraught this made him feel as a young boy seeing another young person no different than himself have to go through such great suffering. There was nothing he or the group could do but continue with the struggle for their own survival. I vowed I wouldn’t let anything like that happen again.”
She tucked her legs up against her body.
“I suppose you find me stupid, but I won’t have that happen again. I don’t regret a single thing that we have done.”

The green car drove slowly through the abandoned streets, looking like some kind of strange animal with its oversized megaphone attached to the roof.
People of St. Dominic! Have no fear. Security reins your streets at last. The unrest is over. There are still some insurgents among us however and first when we rid our society of those we can finally rebuild our society! If you have any information regarding insurgents or anti-Dominican activities please dont hesitate to contact the proper authorities. You can do it either through calling the phonenumber that has been distributed to all homes or by contacting our office at the freshwater- and vaccination station. All information will be handled with confidentiality.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
After the car the men with the dog followed, the great german shepherds sniffed on every door with their sensitive noses for the smell of Meta Human. These dogs had the proud heritage from the Syskeyian coonflict and rarely missed their mark.
Sergeant Kassler from the 3:rd Jaeger platoon walked silently behind the dog handler, carrying his assault rifle with the ease and seemingly carelessness that only a veteran can do. A cigarette hanging from the right corner of his mouth. He and his platoon had been stationed here for almost two weeks and so far nothing worth noticing had happened, they had apprehended two families of Meta-Humans that had been sent to the Iesus Forces for redirection. But they still had another 60 % of the city to search before it would be declared a safe zone. They had high hopes on the Anonymous Citizen Report system ACR, though. It had been a huge success in other parts of the country.

The first of the trucks pulled to a stop with a screech….
The dock was simple, and heavily guarded. A Iesus cargo ship flying Navy colours sat in the clear blue water...Its deck lined with what appeared to be the crew. All armed, but not many for a ship of its size.
Doctor Cushings staff car arrived as the prisoners were pulled from the trucks. He watched in silence, fiddling with his note book as the scene unfolded.
“Right kiddies…we’re here….everyone out. In an orderly fashion thank-you-very-much Mr Pointy ears”
The Sergeant walked down the line, paint brush and pot in hand. With some joy he splashed the metahumans with the dripping paint brush.
The florescent green paint gleamed in the sunlight, drying quickly in the midday heat. “Right. Those with the green paint proceed up onto your cruiseliner. Those without paint. Keep cool…sure they find luxury cabins for all of you…”
Without gusto, the first of the prisoners walked up the gangplank. Carrying with them what meagre possessions they had been allowed to take with them.
Raised voices caused ripples of confusion through the prisoners, families separated by the paint refusing to leave each other.
“Jesus Wept! Move!” the sergeant pulled at a ‘marked man’ who’s ‘unmarked’ wife and child refused to be separated. The Sergeants face glowed red with anger, and with a violent swing crashed his baton onto the mans back. “Move. Move Or I’ll kill you were you stand.” He unslung his Submachine gun to illustrate his point…
Suddenly, a figure dashed from further down the line…the hunched figure ran with a amazing pace… clearly hoping the commotion further down the line would cover his escape.
The Sergeant spun around, and without a word of warning fired at the dashing figure. The bullets sprayed from the submachine gun cut down the running figure, blasting out the creatures chest with amazing accuracy.
Without pause , he turned back to the covering prisoners “Now MOVE onto the boat…Move!”
The Ships Captain handed the manifest to Doctor Cushing “we’re full sir…”
“More. They don’t have to travel well, they just have to travel. Science requires bodies , not happiness.”
The Captain saluted “as you say sir. We can fit in another 20-30 tops.”
“Then do it Captain…” The Doctors looked over at the fallen would-be escapee. “as many as you can Captain.”
The ship eventually did leave the dock, below decks the metas were crammed in with no regard to their comfort. The Ships Manifest was all signed and sealed by the Doctor….By Order of the Ministry of Social order and Inquisitor Medical Section Z8.

The radio crackled the news continuously, silenced only when the military policewomen in her white helmet turned the radio off with a sigh.
“Humph Wwhat do they expect us to do about it. W-we all have our orders.”
She stuttered out her words to her collegeue Colleague as the prisoners were being loaded into Lorries. They'd already watched the first foreign ship leave port with its first living cargo.
“Serves them R-right. Insurgent B-bastards”

General Maugham flicked through the report, he’d never had a head for numbers but at a glance it seemed there would be some work ahead of him…..”Let me assure you …” He wasn’t sure what title to use, so went with her rank “Commander and chief , that our forces are more than happy to ensure your regimes security, and nothing will come between us and that duty. ”
He felt uncomfortable, he knew so terribly little of this woman “Could I enquire what support we will get in achieving our secondary goal….Miss Iesus would certainly want to know…”
Doctor Cushing watched the ship depart without fuss, he flipped open his note book and noted down a figure with a mixed look on his face…he didn’t look up from his notation as several trucks rattled down the road past his position, their ministry markings meaning they were none of his concern…their destination was in the hands of Bridgette Special squads.
He slapped the back of his drivers seat “Driver. Lets get moving. A doctors work is never done”

The bee flicked in and out between the colourful flowers in the garden as it spent its day in the sun gathering the nectar its hive needed. In the bee's world nothin had happened, everything was like it always was in the bee world. Flowers. Hive. Flowers.
A sign on the door of the house with the garden proclaimed that this had been the house of a traitor. A seal was in place over the door to secure it from anyone entering, the curtains were pulled shut in all the windows. It looked like the house had been left by people going on vacation except for spot of dried blood on the carpet in the living room of the house.

Smiling, Miss Blake focused on the Iesus officer.
"Miss Iesus will get the support I promised her, that is to say, all the support she should ever require, have my soldiers been anything less than forthcoming?"
Without waiting for a reply, the CNC pressed on.
"Former republican elements I believe intend to cause unrest, I assume they wont interupt the rebuilding of my country?"
She slid a plain brown folder across the table.
"metahumans come second to our security. I want the rebuilding of the capital to start within the month. I would not be happy if it was slowed due to a lack of concentration on security - after all the requests for contracts are about to be put out."

Sitting on top of his tank 1st Lieutenant Slibovic slowly exhaled the smoke from his cigarette, watching the smoke as it twitched and twirled in the air. He had been stationed in this area for almost a month and even if they had had the occasional skirmish in the beginning the action was now all gone. The Meta Sniffers had probably found most of the elves around here and after the last riot had been met with deadly force and the families of those involved all had been put to death it had been completely calm.
They're ranking officer had now gone out with an edict that after every riot the families of those involved would all the executed. If any military or security force was attacked in the countryside, every third man in the closest village would be executed. This had led to a few short operations and after that, Nothing.
Rumours were now that they would move out from this area to another less subdued part of St. Dominic. He flipped the butt of his cigarette into the ground and crept down into the tank again to listen to the radio.

Manning a .50-caliber machine gun atop an armored personnel carrier pock-marked from recent gun-battles, Pfc. Thomas Poormon kept an eye on passing traffic and the Veganians. He leant over to his driver and summed the situation up.
"Better them than me"
An average looking elderly man walking along the sidewalk appeared to have something tucked under his long, loose-fitting shirt. Several soldiers quickly search him, and even when he is given the 'all clear' they watched him until he was out of sight. Few cars and buses passed by but those that did were watched closely for anything suspicious -- an open window, an arm getting ready to throw something, a car slowing down.
"You never know when you're going to be attacked, but they do,"
Poormon continued his comments, having seen action recently against the rebellion he had a respect for those people he had faught.
"You really have to be on the edge of paranoia. Fear is okay, because it keeps you on edge. Hell these people faught like caged animals, they arnt beaten yet."
He rubbed his leg as he thought back. A bomb, tossed early on the first morning of the rebellion, exploded in the dirt alongside his jeep, shattering his leg. He wouldnt forget this anytime soon.

The convoy was slowly moving towards their new target. 1st Lieutenant Slibovic was looking at his screens as his vehicle bounced and cringed its way through the forest on the left of the softer vehicles. His gunner was looking at his IR screen intensly and more than once he jumped as a deer hasn't made it out of the way quick enough but appeard as a red dot quickly dissappearing in the far edge of his screen. In Slibovic headset he could hear the chattering of fighter pilots, constantly overflying the convoy in search of potential threats they could hellfire.
This had been going on for two days now. It had all begun so good. It looked like 120 km of nice motorway and then they would arrive to their new target; an industrial town called Norchester. But they had only travelled for an hour on the motorway when explosions had been reported further down the road, and a bridge they have to cross had been reported to be down. Their comander had decided to try a another way that would be longer but less risky for their convoy. So far he had been right. Absolutely nothing had happened for the last two days and Slibovic was getting more than a bit bored of it...

Dear friends! Citizens of Allanea!
Today, I am announcing an important decision of Congress and Senate – the Reich Exclusion Act. Under the Act. From now and as long as Reich invasion of St. Dominic continues, no Reich companies are allowed to operate in Allanea. Reich vessels entering Allanean waters will be shot on sight, and so will any Reich officials entering Allanean territory. Aircraft entering our airspace will be shot down.
People of Allanea! We have, too long, ignored the evils of the Reich. We sit in our homes. We watch our widescreen televisions. We hunt deer. We drink red wine – and we forget about the oppressive, evil, and stupid countries where all these are not rights – not even privileges – when these simple pleasures are denied, regulated, restricted by foul, devilish rulers who pretend to rule in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
People of the Reich! If anybody of you is watching – let me remind you the teaching of Christ – He whom you worship as the Savior. For He said - “by their acts shall ye know them” - do you think that those who spread death, oppression, and pain through the Reich, and in St. Dominic are following the
teaching of Him who taught the message of love? The Creator – whatever his or her name – has endowed all sentients on Earth with certain inalienable rights, and among those rights are Life, Liberty, and Property. Those governments that violate them in such a fashion as the Reich does cannot claim to have any authority granted to them by God – or any authority at all.
The Benevolent Jaar! General Mathew Iesus! Sultana Hatusu! Anna Bitch Blake! Listen up, you, c*cksucking, oppressive, communist sons of statist bitches! We are the Allaneans, and we are your worst f*cking nightmare! As of present, I cannot declare war on your sorry, miserable ass – the President does not declare war, because this is a free country, which is so infinitely superior to the crapholes where you reside as the sun is brighter then a candle. But I promise to you, you will fall.
I do not know which religion is right, or what God wants for men. But I know what God – whatever His or Her name – does not want for His Children. He does not want them to be oppressed. God did not not have Thomas Edison invent the lightbulb so the tyrants could light their palaces with it, and he did not have John Moses Browning invent the 1911 so that they could threaten their victims with it. He gave us light – to light the homes of the free men, and he gave us arms, so we could rise up against tyrants, and he gave us the whole wide world so we could enjoy it at our leisure – and he made the bread and the wine, so we could eat and drink and be marry, watching the palaces of Jaar, and Iesus, and Bitch Blake burn to the ground – as one day they will.
Good night, people of the Reich. May you wake up free.
Good night, my countrymen. May God Bless Allanea.

The Sultans interest in the situation in St Dominic had dipped since the rebellion itself had been put down. She’d followed the security reports and stayed in contact with their government, but her attention was taken up by the constant need to oversee reform within her own nation.
She had little interest in supporting President Anne Blake and her purge - until now.

Remember what the holy Quran says “God commands justice, the doing of the good, and liberality to kith and kin. He forbids all shameful deeds, injustice and rebellion” It is for this reason we fight anarchy within our borders.

We humbly agree with our Starian sister. Anarchy and violence must be rejected by all just-thinking people. Would it be better for our nations to blaze in the flames of civil war? or is it better to have justice and peace?
The Allanean Presidents views are confused and too be rejected by anyone who knows the situation on the ground. Why they believe themselves fit to comment on the situation I dont know.
I extend again my thanks to those who are supporting us in this difficult time, and out-right reject those who would wish to see our land engulfed by war.

-"Yeah, its either a really bad joke or the worst attempt of failed propaganda I ever heard. Can you run Allanea through the database and look what it comes up with?"
-"Already doing it. Lesse... Decadent libertian, no trade with the Reich, member of that part that broke loose from the Reich ages ago. No interaction with the Reich as far as my security level allows me to see."
-"Ok, file it under "Tourette" and do a standard trace to the source, then
close the file and we can have a coffee break. There seems to be enough fuzz in the ether around St. Dominic these days"

The situation had eased off over recent months; orders from above had created a peaceful but shakey situation around the country. Some people called it a 'ceasefire' but the government continued to call the peace 'successful subjection of rogue elements'.
Sporadic fire continued around the country, Concentrated mainly south of the capital, the violence was isolated but a constant threat.
During the nights, mortar fire can often be heard, almost always targeted at the fledgling foriegn relocation program.
Gradually the nation became aware that something was in the wind.
Tharwich, St. Dominic
Colonel Hamden slowly read the new orders in his office in the outskirts of Tharwich. Apparently Anne Blake had decided to try to start a democratic process in St. Dominic, analysts thought it was to quelch the uprising, something Hamden thought they had done pretty well the last weeks.
Maybe it is to heal old wounds he thought as he munched on an asparagus. Asparagus and nicotine chewing gums had saved his and some of his closest colleagues lives since he quit smoking. He chewed some more and read the rest of the orders. It didn't say anything about what to do with the hellspawn they had contained for further shipment to the Iesus forces. It just said fortify and await further orders.
He looked out the window and saw the big yard with barbed wires outside his compound, there were about 50 nephilim there. He knew he couldn't send them to the Iesus forces, but he also knew he just couldn't release them to pollute the society again.
He quickly signed an order to use them as labour to fortify. He added to the order: "dispatch the ones that are unable to work without pardon."

“What in the name of Christ does this mean for us?”
General Maugham not-so-quietly fumed over the situation. He’d heard nothing from the veggys at Tharwich yet….but no doubt this would cause at least a cessation of deportations of metas…
The last vanloads had slipped quickly over the border to Iesus in the dead of night, the General feeling it unwise to be unsubtle at this time…still he hoped for a return to more fascist friendly times.
He lifted his secure-line that connected him to the Veggys near Tharwich. He wanted to make sure they were on the same page as him….
“General Maugham here. How are you boys with your cat-piss sniffing dogs? Wiping out the smell before anything happens?”
Hamden laughed a short hard laugh. -"Nice hearing from you General, yeah, my boys are pretty much done over here in this area. We have received orders to fortify and await reinforcements. Seems like Mrs Blake is serious about this democracy thing and we prepare for the storm that will follow. I dont think we have much to fear from the locals. My men has acted shocktroops to flush out insurgents and left the St. Dominicans to do the policing so we haven't encountered much hard feelings from the natives and as usual the propaganda combined with those dirty elves keeping to themselves has resulted in the deportations being met only by mild opposition.
Any news on your front?"
Hamden looked at the latest orders. They were expected to prepare the arrival of another 3200 men with two Panzer companies. They had gone out and bought supplies to last them a long time, some of his officers had thought it was better just taking it but Hamden knew that they had to keep well with the locals or the rebels would receive better support from them. They also had people out there to register who came out as opposition in the elections, in case it went pear shaped the orders were to strike and strike hard.

"Indeed, it does seem Mrs Blake is serious about this democracy thing.....we're pilgrims in a unholy land...but things are ok." The General flicked through the lastest arrived 'order' from local government....he crushed it into a ball and threw it in the trash. "We're holding like you till we get orders from above...still...I dont care for this. We're making sure the proper thing is done for the people of St Dominic. I'd suggest you do the same. Any ...livestock or others....in your care should be put-down. Better that way I think...."
The message from the dominic government to local forces was naturally replied to quickly....
"To whom it may concern.
At this time, it isnt known if any dominic citizens are being held nor do I believe there are any......but should it be found that there is indeed citizens of yours being held, they will be released as your requested."
Major Temme.
Colonel Hamden was looking at the messages he had received, both had been as expected. In his world Citizens were only humans and according to his reports they had no humans in their custody, everyone of the insurgents had either been shot on the spot or turned over to the St. Dominic forces. The 40 or so elves they still had working on their defences would be sent to destruction the coming days. There was no taint in this region anymore. He looked through the papers again and then scribbled down his answers:
Dear General,
The region has been cleansed according to Blood and honour laws. No more shipments will arrive. I suggest we kkep in contact for further coordination if need be.
Best Regards.
Colonel Hamden
To whom it may concern.
All St. Dominic citizens have already been turned over to St. Dominic Forces.
We welcome the St. Dominic government approach and would ask permission to set up facilities to service our base here in Tharwich. This would naturally bring an infra investment of around 100 million € and an initial employment of 200 local St. dominicans.

With respect, I request you re-examine the situation inside your compounds. It is strongly believed that you do in fact hold some of our citizens.
Perhaps they have been misclassified or lost in the system?
As you can see, I am taking a personal interest in this matter and would like it cleared up as soon as possible.
Once this issue has been responded to adequately, I see no reason why Colonel Hamden’s command cannot establish a more long-term base – the money and infrastructure will surely be appreciated.
Commander Anne Blake
Anurïel cursed as he lifted another bucket of gravel to the top of the trench.
-"How come these bastards wants us to dig a trench in the middle of the camp? Isn't it enough that we spent the last two days building walls and houses all around here?" She had long given up asking for water. Apparently the Veganian guards didn't care about her thirst. She mumbled another curse under her breath as one of the others stumbled and almost dropped a large rock on her foot. Together with two others they lifted it to the surface 7 feet up. Her groaning was interupted by a sharp bang close to her ear. She felt something warm splatter on her cheek and has she turned her face four more shots followed by automatic fire from the six guards. She felt a shot hit her torso, and another one burning her face before the red mist swept her away to nothingness as the guards fired round after round into the cringing bodies at the bottom of the trench. The guards reloaded and fired some more shots into the bodies that still twitched until they all were still.
-"Why didn't we save some to fill up the hole again after we were done? Have you seen the amount of rocks and gravel we need to move now?" One of them whined. He was disciplined by a backhanded slap in the face from his sergeant.
-"This is the stain of the earth we're talking about. The colonel wanted them gone as quick and efficient as possible and that is the orders we will follow. You! Go get the lime so we can get this rubbage done with. We dont want the ground to be tainted by the devils black souls."
As the men started to fill the now smoking trench the colonel looked and nodded.

Dear Mrs Blake,
No worries, misinformation can happen the best. I still dont know where you got this strange information from but I am sure that we can refrain from further misunderstandings by opening a line of communication to eachother that is not based on loose rumours.
My HQ has asked me to link them in on any further communications to minimize the risk of loose and apparently false rumours being spread by the opposers of the Reich.

He threw a last glance at the message before he sent it. If St. Dominic tried to push it any further it would prove a new strange direction of Reich laws and a breach against the blood and Honour laws. Was chaos getting a grip on ST. Dominic? Were the devils taking over and tainting the lawful government?
Only time would tell. If suddenly some elves would show up in power, like what had happened in some other nations Hamden would knwo. Until then he bided his time. He had no trouble defending his space or his stance against Anne Blake. He had now citizens here, nor did he ever do.

‘St Dominic Sovereign within 1,000 Days!’ I have promised and it will happen.
But sovereignty brings with it two messages: The message of reconciliation & 2) the message of accountability.
I do not believe that there will be healing between various factions within the homelands, until we face our past as a nation. Reconciliation with each other is not a matter of tolerating each other and using each other economically. Reconciliation is about repenting over how we have so often crushed each other’s culture and treated each other like dirt. Reconciliation is about turning from our endless regional grumbling and learning to fall in love with the amazing people around – non-human, Christian, Danu-ist, socialist. Reconciliation is not about mere tolerance; it is about learning to love and embrace one another.
That is why there will be accountability for actions taken unlawfully during the protectorate governorship. It is not a matter of punishment, but a matter of reconciliation and accountability.
What was done legally and lawfully will be spoken of openly. What was done illegally will be accounted for.
No-one is above ths process. Not even me

-"What kind of intellectual sentimental hedonistic dribble is this?! Colonel Hamden threw away the latest report from St. Dominic with distaste. "Who the hell does she think she is?! learn to love and embrace eachother? She must be possesed, she is saying that they need to embrace the devil to get a unified country. The Reich will have a cancer in its midst. Send a decoded message to Iesus forces and ask if they also have received any pressures and then send a communique to the Inquisitors and tell them the St. Dominic issue is taking a turn for the worse.

Dear Mrs Blake,
Ofcourse we will cooperate to the fullest. We will invite some of your local police men and show them around.
I am a bit worried however about the situation. Our local intelligence reports confusion among the resistance but also plans to overthrow any government should it not fulfill the demands these people have. We will gladly hand over the information to your representants.
Kind Regards
Colonel James Hamden
He turned to his adjutant.
-"Send a request for even more reinforcements. When that **** starts this fire I want to make sure to quelch it, wether she wants it or not.
Row after row of tanks rolled from the train station in Iesus Christi, the rails full of hundreds of tanks still arriving in the border city to slowly move to 6 separate camps. The Reich rail system was widely spread and mostly used for military purposes as the mobile Katyush system, now it pumped soldiers and Panzer divisions to a little known city in Iesus Christi bordering to St. Dominic.
This is the largest joint Reich Exercise that has been performed in several decades. More than 800,000 proud Reich soldiers and 12 Panzer legions perform a great show of our strength and union between different Reich nations. God is truly great!
Pictures was cabled out in all the Reich channels.
Watch how our superior forces fires away the missiles against constructed targets! Never before have the glorious Reich been this Strong and close to perfection. Our mighty vessels rules the sky, the land and the sea.
Camera zooms in on three smiling soldiers dressed in various Reich uniforms sitting by an anti-tank gun.
The Unity has never been stronger within the Reich. Our proud soldiers are prepared to cut down any opposition to root out the weed
A tank runs over a tree making it fall over and crash with a mighty sound and a cloud of dust.
The proud war hero General Miroslav Jedic:
-"This preplanned exercise will be held during the coming months with the potential involvement of a joint exercise with a large navy contignent. This has ofcourse nothing to do with the unstable situation in St. Dominic, all Reich nations have been invited to join this exercise. In times like this it is even more important to train the soldiers of our great alliance in fighting together against the forces of Evil!"

In reply to certain pressure, military sections Beta and Gamma are being called to duty.
They will carry out defensive strategy combat exercises on the Iesus Christian/Homelands border.
This deployment of forces is not a reaction to our reichite allies actions, but is evidance that there is no unstable situation in the homelands.
We hope our our allies maneuvers are productive.

*Provisional Imperial Guard HQ, Derscon*
Hauptmann Gerhardt Schwannender poured his morning Coffee in the 3rd floor breakroom of the new Imperial Guard Headquarters. It was nothing like the grand palatial headquarters it once had...now buried in rubble and soaked in radiation like the rest of the ancient city of Reichsburg and the 75 million corpses that lay in and around the city.
Even the t.v. sucked. Schwannender hit the contraption with his fist. Thankfully it turned on, even though the picture flickered a bit. It was GPNN announcing that they had finally recovered the body of the Emperor Napoleon IV from the remains of the Imperial Palace where he had been laying in state after his death of assasination when the nuclear explosion went off in the Capitol.
"And this news coming in from the Reich." the commentator announced. Schwannender perked up a bit. Before relations were broken with the Reich, he had worked in the embassy in Vegana. "The Reich is showing a large display of military strength, and demonstrating that they are far from defeated. It also seems that the conflict in St. Dominic is far from over." Stock footage of Iesus Christian tanks flickered accross the screen. "During the reign of Napoleon IV, the Empire took a strong stance against the Reich's interferance in St. Dominic. As of yet, though, the Empire has taken no action on the matter and with the civil war in Reichskamphen and the cleanup and rebuilding effort...there wasn't anything likely to be done by the Empire for a long time about much of anything.
"If only Napoleon were alive..." the Hauptmann lamented.

The little known Border City was alive with military personal. The Military exercise had swamped the district much to the pleasure of local business. The soldiers were greeted by the various sounds of Iesus street hawkers……
“Souvenirs? I’ve got anything you’d want! Remember your time in Iesus Christi with a genuine Iesus relic!”
“Read all about it! Metahumans carry out human sacrifice in St Dominic! Dominican Pagans run wild and destroy local churches! Read all about it!”
“Can you spare some change for the CLA? They need your support now more than ever soldier!”
Hundreds of Iesus aircraft were on constant exercise combat missions. They buzzed the border between the two nations and engaged in practice bombing raids.
New Iesus Black Bird Bombers hovered near the border…a visual demonstrations of their new hover ability, and from bunkers on the heights over looking the border Iesus personal carried out missile drills.
While on the Channel islands, those long contested islands in the gulf between the two nations, thousands of Iesus troopers landed. A massive influx of troops to increase the already heavily supported garrison.
