8/20/2960:
The sovereign nations of Mirfak, Than, and Trasnia were brought together in negotiations today after the Thanic government proposed a merging of the former Xanthalian territories into a new Xanthalian nation. Taking place on Than IV, if the negotiations result in the signing of the treaty written by Thanic dictator Star of Shining Hope the three nations will be merged into a single entity. If this occurs, all three national governments will cooperate to form a new constitution and then dissolve after that constitution is implemented.

10/08/2960:
The governments of the former Xanthalian territories Mirfak, Than, and Trasnia have signed the Treaty of Xanthal. Their governments will be dissolved following the institution of their joint constitution.

11/02/2960:
With increasing pressure to institute a new government for the combined territories of Mirfak, Than, and Trasnia; the constitutional council of the Xanthalian entity has approved a provisional constitution in the form of the existing Mirfakan constitution. Though it is likely that the Mirfakan constitution will form the basis for the new government of Xanthal, the principal debate centers around the monocameral legislature it supports. Many officials are concerned that not representing the minor territories sufficiently in the new Xanthalian entity could pose a major problem once the government is up and running. Still the enthusiasm for the institution of any government at all is running high. Xanthal is expected to begin running as a combined unit sometime later next year as elections are run across national territory.
