Taru was dozing in his operating chair. He was a Talent scout, which meant that he was supposed to be watching a screen for developing Telepath's and Telekinetic's, but there hadn't been a new one in this area with any proper talent in years and after four long years of nothing he wasn't about to fight his weariness for a fruitless watch station that never produced anything more than an extremely weak empath every month or so. He was just thinking about going genuinely to sleep when the sensor started screeching like early warning earthquake alert.
Taru started awake and quickly typed in the code for locate and assess talent level. The talent level was finished and it was a grey at least! Where, where, where, if he didn't get the location of someone that level, he would be demoted for sure!
And then as suddenly as it had started the wild talent's power surge stopped when the locator was no where near finished...
"Oh-no...I'm in trouble now..." Taru said.
