Assington Vampires Details & FAQ Thread

When I first started my vampiric rp’ing I didn’t really have a clear idea or background behind these mythical creatures. It started off as a little experiment to see whether I could write something reasonable and create sound characters. Since then (about 1.5yrs ago) the Assington Vampire concept has grown and developed quite a history. Skadi is by far my favourite character and the world I have made around her is one I’ve put a reasonable amount of thought into.

Since my ideas are not privy to everyone, I thought I’d create a thread that explains many aspects of the AV world. I'll be constantly adding stuff to this thread so have patience. Any questions and comments that you might have are welcome.

The Beginning:

The vampire starts within the medieval age of Assington. Assington is a complete monarchy ruled over by a young, arrogant king. The council of High Mages advised the king on the well being of the nation and are sworn protectors of the people and the land. Besides humans, there is a significant elven population scattered amongst the forests of the nation.

There was an uneasy history between the humans and elves as it was tainted by the blood of a long war. Whilst they lived in peace afterwards, it was an uneasy peace and humans just tended to stay away from elves, save for the wise mages.

It was one of this mages that kick started things. Daveon, a High Mage and one of the most respected in the arcane community was lurking about in the dark arts in a search for more power. Daveon summoned a powerful demon known as the Barklor. This breed of demon had been at constant battle with the elves of Assington for centuries yet the humans assistance had prevented them from entering Assington ever since they were banished by the combined might of the elves and humans. And yet Daveon summoned this demon.

The mage proposed that the demon share his body in exchange for dark powers. Unfortunately Daveon underestimated the power of such a demon and was eventually overwhelmed and swalloed up by the might of the demonic creature. And so Daveon and the demon became one, a hybrid of human arcane power and higher demon. This being was known as Marduk.

During a rampage throughout a human village, Marduk suffered several wounds from the village defenders, spilling his hybrid blood everywhere. Through mere chance, this blood managed to enter the bodies of five human villagers. Over the next few days these humans experience odd changes as a sickness struck them down, essentially killing their bodies yet keeping the brain alive.

Skadi, Idun, Uller, Svartel and Lysar (Zardon) emerged as changed people. These were the first vampires of Assington.

The Concept:

These vampires obviously have a demonic background. This background has lent them many attributes of demon kind, yet they are their own creatures. They are not under the dominion of demon lords, nor do they fully exist within the world of humans.

To understand the Assingtonian vampire, one must examine its weaknesses, strengths and abilities.

Abilities, Strengths and Weaknesses

Immortal (but not invincible)
Fire kills
Sun kills
Silver hurts
All normal attacks may hurt but not kill.
Severing of limbs does not kill (can be put back on and healed, save for beheading)
Supernatural speed, strength and endurance/resistance
Telekinetic and Telepathic powers
Flight (only the older vamps, 500yrs +)
Can climb walls/ceilings
Silver bullets to the head killl

Immortality: As is the case with many Barklor, these vampires will not die of old age. Unless killed, they live forever.

Fire: Fire is more lethal to vampires than ordinary creatures. This is because their blood is highly flammable. If a vampire is set on fire, he/she will go up very quickly unless the flames are extinguished immediately.

The Sun: The mixture of demon and human has produced an unnatural weakness to the rays of the sun. The rays have an odd reaction with vampiric flesh, causing it to heat up and eventually catch alight. Obviously the issue of flammable blood finishes the vampire off. It should be noted that UV ray related weapons don't have the same effect.

Silver: Silver is not a natural weakness of the vampires but is a result of sorcery. Sithaer (Assingtonian high mage) cursed Marduk with a spell that would spread to all of his offspring, making the touch of silver highly painful and potentially lethal to Assingtonian vampires. Silver also prevents healing of vampires until the object is removed and even afterwards the vampire will heal much slower. Silver bullets to the brain are lethal.

Physical Attacks: A vampire is not immune to broken bones, torn muscles, bruises and other such physical injuries. The fact that they have a rapid rate of healing means such injuries are not as significant to a vampire, but they can be injured in many ways as humans can. Note that they can be knocked unconscious, yet don't tend to stay out for long periods of time.

Vampiric Blood: The blood of a vampire is a very interesting substance. Whilst it poses the danger of being highly flammable, it also provides great benefits. It is the vampiric blood that gives the vampire their rapid healing and supernatural powers. The more blood they possess within them, the faster they can heal and stronger they are. It can also be used to heal the injuries of others. Note that vampires can die from loss of blood or starvation.

Severing of limbs: Due to the healing properties of their blood, vampires can lose their limbs yet if the limb is retrievable, they are able to put it back in place and over time their blood will heal the wound. This does not work with the head. Vampire will heal after losing a limb, even if it cannot be salvaged.

Beheading: Beheading is an instant death for a vampire. Without the brain, the body quickly loses all life and the brain fails without a source of blood to keep it living. A beheading can be performed with any material, silver is not necessary.

Supernatural Strength/Speed/Endurance/Reflexes: The main advantage over humans that vampires possess is their supernatural abilities. Even the strength of a fledgling outweighs that of most humans, as does their speed, physical endurance and their senses. They can see further and clearer, hear further, smell better and generally out do humans. They are not perfect of course, but they are superior. These abilities can be given momentarily to humans by giving blood.

Jumping: Due to their superior strength/speed and reflexes, vampires are able to jump great heights/distances or drop from great heights. They are able to use their mental powers to land safely and direct their movements. The older the vampire is, the higher they can jump.

Psychic Abilities: Another ability passed on from the demons was powers of the mind. Vampires possess the ability to speak to others with thoughts and even listen to the thoughts of those that do not shield their minds. Those particularly weak minded may even find that a vampire can influence their actions. Besides this telepathy, vampires also have very strong telekinetic abilities. They are able to move objects quite easily with their minds and as they grow in strength, heavier objects become easier to move. Note that they do not possess an unlimited ability as excess use causes mental weariness.

Flight: Flight is basically an extension of telekinetic powers. Once the vampire reaches around the age of 500, they are able to focus their mental powers enough to lift and direct themselves through the air for prolonged periods and at speed. Those of younger age are not privy to such powers.

Siring: Every vampire possesses the ability to sire another vampire. This is done via the transfer of blood. The vampire drains the soon-to-be fledgling of the majority of their blood, then allows their own blood to pass into the victim. After ingesting enough blood, the victim will begin to change over the next few hours as their body dies and they fully become a vampire. The older the vampire that sires, the stronger the fledgling will be. It should be noted that vampires can give their blood to humans without draining them, a sort of 'temporary vampire'. This gives the human some vampiric abilities for a short amount of time.

The Brain: The brain is a vampire's most important asset. Since the rest of their body is essentially dead, it is the brain and blood that sustains a vampire. The brain is kept alive thanks to the vampiric blood and so the need to feed is created in order to sustain the brain. Without fresh blood, the brain begins to slow down and the vampire loses strength. Due to the massive amount of blood in the brain, silver bullets are necessary to kill the brain, otherwise it can heal.

Age: Age is simple with vampires. The longer they live, the stronger they become. Ancient vampires are freakishly powerful due to their longer existence. Blood intake can also influence strength, but not as significantly as age does.

Religion: Religious words, symbols and other such associated things have no effect on vampires at all. Same goes for garlic, wooden stakes and many other myths.

Defying Gravity: Whilst younger vampires cannot fly, they can use their telekinetic powers to climb flat walls or cling to ceilings. This is done with relative ease and can be sustained for some time.

Breathing: Whilst the vampires do not need to breath, their still living brain seems continue operating the lungs. Most vampires don't realise they don't need to breath but they are still susceptible to gases and other such attacks.

Facts About the AV World:

The Nation:

The AV series is set within The Democratic Dicatorship of Assington (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/target=display_nation/nation=assington), more specifically Emerald City upon the north-eastern coast (MAP (http://groups.msn.com/WeatheredImagination/assingtonspics.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=214)). Whilst there are vampires all over Assington, Emerald City is home to the largest population and even provides residence to several ancients such as Skadi and Hondur. The largest coven in Assington is based in this city, under Hondur's rule.

There is an overall acceptance that vampires exist within the nation and many of them are legal citizens, unfortunately many more are not and this is where the Vampire Police (VP) come into play. They govern all issues regarding vampires and whilst are meant to operate within standard police regulations, often resort to more brutal and direct methods.

The Vampire Police (VP):

Even since the laws passed to allow vampires were passed, a government funded organisation was created to uphold these laws. The VP are permitted to govern all affairs regarding vampires and so have the power to arrest vmapires and humans alike. Vampire hunting without VP authorisation is illegal and anti-vampire organisations like those first founded back when vampires were introduced and vampiric covens are also highly illegal. The VP have full rights to break up such organisations however they see fit.

Originally the VP of Assington were bound by strict regulations but over recent times the government have come to realise that these men need more freedom to do their jobs effectively, and so some of their more questionable actions are usually ignored by the government. Without the hard work of VP officers, Assington would be overrun by vampiric gangs and thugs, preying upon the innocent population.

The VP are fully equipped with a range of items to make their jobs easier. These include assorted firearms, electronic computer devices, explosive devices, vehicles, blades, constant silver supply and also enjoy new gadgets being created by government employed scientists.

The Laws:

After much heated political debate it was finally accepted that vampires would become legal citizens of Assington. In order to prevent undesirable events, laws were created to govern these new citizens.

#1: All vampires must register their images, name, birth year, second birth year, sex, residence, fingerprints, DNA and any other necessary information to become a 'legal vampire'.

#2: It is illegal for a vampire to feed off a human that does not give their full consent to the conditions of the feeding. Illegal feeding resulting in death is punishable by death. Other illegal feeding can incur varied punishments.

#3: Vampires are permitted to feed through government operated 'Blood Banks' and programs such as 'Eat a Criminal'. These programs are highly regulated and fraudulent actions may result in detainment.

#4: Unauthorised vampire hunting by citizens is illegal. As are organisations for said purpose. Those guilty of such may face legal actions according to judgement of the VP.

#5: Vampiric covens are illegal and are to be broken up under VP jurisdiction. Coven members are exposed to legal and VP action. VP have full power to seize and destroy coven residence.

#6: The Vampire Police (VP) have full power to deal with vampiric issues of the cities and nation. All activities shall be subsidised by the government.

#7: All vampires must carry their Vampiric Indetification Cards with them at all times or face detainment.

#8: A human is within their rights to end the life of a vampire if they attempt to feed upon them without consent.

#9: Permission to sire another vampire must be applied for with the government before any such activity can occur. Both parties must approve the government shall deem whether it is acceptable.

#10: Vampires are not allowed to carry weapons of any sort.

The Anti Vampire Organisation (AVO):

The AVO formed not long after vampires were officially accepted within Assington. It was a moderately large rag-tag force of human vigilantes that were bent upon ridding Assington of vampires. Based in Emerald City, these humans roamed the streets looking for vampires to kill. During the war of AVI they lost the majority of their members and were officially shutdown by the VP. Whilst there are still a few remaining factions similar to the AVO, they all lack organisation and significant numbers.

The Anti Government Vampire Organisation (AGVO):

The AGVO was basically a coven of vampires determined to stand against the acceptance of vampires as citizens. They believed vampires should remain in the shadows and not conform to the government laws. They caused significant trouble for the government via several attacks. They too were destroyed in the AVI war, most of the members being killed whilst the others went on to become members of Hondur's coven.

Assington Security Hidden Vampire Organisation (ASHVO):

ASHVO was created after the war of AVII in an attempt to capitalise on the abilities of vampires and what they could do working for the government. For a few years they were quite effective in matters of espionage but eventually the organisation became stagnant and turned into a better equipped and less regulated version of the VP. ASHVO was a branck of the Assington Security Agency (ASA) and it's existence was only known by few. Eventually it was abandoned by Hondur and his vampires in favour of their coven once again. ASHVO was destroyed during the AVIII war.

Hondur's Coven

Before AVII, there were vampiric covens but they were much smaller and less organised that the current coven under the leadership of Hondur. After spending many years travelling the world, Hondur returned to Assington at the time of AVII and aquired himself a large mansion on the outskirts of Emerald City.

The mansion is one of the oldest and biggest in the city but was very run down and abandoned when Hondur obtained it. The land is sealed off by very high walls and views of the building are shrowded dense vegetation. After gathering a large amount of vampires to join his cause, Hondur had the mansion renovated to modern standards and outfitted with all necessary equipment.

Whilst the mansion is the main base of operations of this coven, it is unable to hold the entire coven population as there are thousands within the city. Due to his fact, there are several safe houses all over the city.

Hondur's coven is the oldest in Assington and has some of the older vampires as members. All are quite loyal to Hondur and many fearful of Skadi. Either way, it is the foremost vampiric force in Assington.

Character Profiles:

Name: Skadi (http://groups.msn.com/WeatheredImagination/assingtonspics.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=207)
Age: 2200
Species: Human (Vampiric)
Height/Weight: 177.8cm/55kg
Hair/Eyes: Black/Black
Situation: Living

Bio: Skadi can be best described as a cold hearted bitch. She cares for nothing and no one save for two people in this world. She trusts no one and would sooner run them through with her blade than give them a smile in greeting. Skadi has lived a tough life and it reflects in her merciless attitude towards everyone.

Skadi has sired two vampires in her lifetime. Hondur is the leader of Assington's biggest coven, based in Emerald City and is fiercely loyal to his sire. Sigrun, AKA Maximus is Skadi's lover. Sigrun was once a human by the name of Maximus and was turned by Skadi. Eventually he was slain and yet returned to the world of the living as an elf. Cross anyone of these and Skadi's wrath is sure to be lurking close by.

Many would say Skadi is devoid of morals. Skadi would kill those people, and agree. She has no qualms with killing those that anoy her, look at her funny or just plain be in the wrong place at the wrong time. She will feed upon anyone, including children and the elderly.

Skadi's name is infamous amongst the vampiric population of Assington and she is highly respected and feared.

Name: Svartel (http://groups.msn.com/WeatheredImagination/assingtonspics.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=230)
Age: 2200
Species: Human (Vampiric)
Height/Weight: 180.3cm/82kg
Hair/Eyes: Black/ Ice Blue
Situation: Living

Bio: Little is known about the man by the name of Svartel. He merely turned up in Assington one day, 2200 years ago and took up residence in the same village as Skadi. He embraced his vampirism and refered to is as the 'dark gift' whilst the others eventually learned to accept it.

He played lackey to Marduk, the father vampire for some time until Marduk was eventually banished by the mages of Assington. Since that time, Svartel fled Assington and was never heard of again for quite thousands of years. It is said that he may have gone into slumber to avoid the mages, yet nothing can be confirmed.

Svartel is a very shady character and not to be trusted. He has a manor about him that may appear sophisticated but is really quite sinister. He is intelligent, cold, calculating and enjoys causing the suffering and agony of others.

Svartel is what gives vampires a bad name.

Name: Idun (http://groups.msn.com/WeatheredImagination/assingtonspics.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=228)
Age: 2200
Species: Human (Vampiric)
Height/Weight: 180.3cm/76kg
Hair/Eyes: Blonde/ Dull Grey
Situation: Living

Bio: Idun never wanted to be a vampire and had the most trouble coming to terms with what he now was. At heart, Idun is a very peaceful man. He hates violence and detests harming others. Unfortunately, he lives in a world of violence where anyone would capitalise on his lack of willingness to fight back. And so he has trained with the elves for ages in the art of combat.

Idun has never killed anyone before, but he is a skilled combatant and competent with the blade Uller forged him. After the banishment of Marduk, Idun departed Assington with the elves, leaving behind memories of slaughter and pain. For those thousands of years, Idun has lived with the elves, enduring a peaceful life filled with joy and laughter.

Recently it was prophecised that there would be a reunion of old forces within Assington once again. Not happy about leaving his home of many years, Idun discovered the elves were to return to the forests of Emerald with him.

And so Idun revisits his original home, unsure of what to expect from Skadi, and afraid of what he may recieve from Svartel.

Name: Hondur (http://groups.msn.com/WeatheredImagination/assingtonspics.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=118)
Age: 1602
Species: Human (Vampiric)
Height/Weight:182.8cm/87kg
Hair/Eyes: Brown/Brown
Situation: Living

Bio: Hondur spent his adult human life as an anti-vampiric compaigner as a city senator. Skadi's twisted sense of humour meant Hondur ended up being a vampire himself. He struggled with being something he hated for a few years and was disturbed by Skadi's complete lack of regard for life of any kind.

During his early years as a vampire, Hondur got himself into a feud with Maximus that lasted several hundred years and involved many bloody battles. Hondur and Maximus never fully settled their differences before Maximus died and Sigrun was reborn. Since meeting Sigrun, they have decided to forget the past and start anew.

Hondur has had time to think many things over the years and has come to appreciate his sire with a unrelenting loyalty. He has made a name for himself as coven leader and has worked for the government as well before coming back to his coven.

Whilst not the warrior Skadi is, Hondur is competent with the blade entrusted to him by Skadi, Uller's old blade and is a reasonable shot with firearms. Hondur possesses more of a moral code and doesn't kill without good reason. He accepts that Skadi will not change her ways and does not attempt to change her as he once did.

Hondur enjoys his vampiric life and leading the vampire's of Emerald City, with his sire standing by his side.

Name: Ivan Kolstolv (http://groups.msn.com/WeatheredImagination/assingtonspics.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=229)
Age: 29
Species: Human? (Russian/Assingtonian)
Height/Weight: 203.2cm/95kg
Hair/Eyes: Black/Emerald Green
Situation: Living

Bio: Ivan is Russian born yet Assingtonian upon his mother's side. He's lived in Assington from a young age and at 17 watched helplessly as his family was slaughtered by a group of menacing thug vampires. Ivan managed to escape and vowed vengence upon those vampires. He spent the next 6 years in Russia with relatives. During this time, Ivan became a different man and returned to Assington quite different in some ways.

Back in Assington, Ivan visited his old home to come across his sister, yet she had also gone through some changes. Vampiric changes. Ivan was forced to kill her in a struggle for his life and decided it best to join the city VP force and put his skills to use against the vampires of Emerald City in the hope of finding those responsible for the death of his familiy.

Ivan holds no mercy whatsoever for vampires. He is an excellent combatant, his size and almost super-human strength giving him quite an edge in close combat situations. He bears a silver alloy short sword strapped across his back and almost always carries his twin USPs. Ivan has excelled in the VP, even though some of his methods are considered vile and barbaric, the government overlooks such since they are so effective.

Not a happy man, Ivan lives for vengence. He is brutal and cold, one of the finest captains to grace the VP of Emerald City.

Name: Stephen Malone (http://groups.msn.com/WeatheredImagination/nationstates.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=250)
Age: 1257
Height/ Weight: 187cm/79kg
Species: Human (Vampire)
Hair/Eye Color: Short brown hair and cobalt blue eyes
Situation: Living

Bio: Stephen was born in Clarence, capitol of the Golden Simatar. His parents were both lawyers in one of the country’s best law firms. Instead of going into law like his parents had wanted, when he graduated high school a year early at seventeen, he immediately joined ROTC in hopes of being in Special Forces.

Served as an officer in the 17th Airborne Division until he managed to be accepted into the Rangers at twenty-three, where he served until he retired at twenty-six as a sergeant. During his last mission, he was captured and brutally tortured. His body still carries the scars of his experience.

When he traveled to Tarlachia to escape his demons, Stephen encountered a vampire named Maximus; though both started out as enemies they became friends after a vampire coup there ended. During the coup, Stephen was bitten by a female vampire. Maximus stopped him turning into a vampire after he had been captured by Maximus.

The bite made him immortal, mixing with something in his blood that started him slowly becoming a vampire. It is a mystery to all what was in Stephen’s blood that reacted, starting him on his path to becoming a vampire. One thousand years later, he finally turned, more powerful than most fledglings should be. Despite being a vampire, Stephen is very much a human on the inside and still has much to learn about his kind.

Name: Maximus Destroi (http://web.telia.com/~u40228043/gifts/rannon_shirtless01_2.jpg)
Age: 1316 years old.
Species: Human (Vampiric, proven bloodlines to Elves of Tarlachia. Mortal bloodlines, before given the 'Kiss'.)
Height/Weight: 177cm/78kg
Hair/Eyes: Black/ Black but crimson red when enraged
Situation: Deceased

Bio: Maximus was once a mortal with then-unknown bloodline ties to the Elves of Lothlorien Forest. In Emerald City, Assington, he became sired by Skadi, and ever since the two have come to love and respect each other. He is a triple black belt in martial arts, and an expert swordsman. His swords Narsil(destroyed by Skadi in first thread) and Glamdring (his current sword) are deadly in his hands, and few dare to face him. He also carries twin Elven Daggers, and the occasional pistol. Despite his possession of the Elven weapons (including the swords) he was unware of fate's strange twist of the fabrics of life to bring him, a descendant of Elven ancestry, to these weapons. He has encountered several notable individuals throughout his life, including Ravelyn Shentavo, Kain Irenicus/Shentavo, and Whiptail. Although Maximus now possesses the magical abilities of his Elven ancestry, he still prefers getting up close and personal...

Even with Skadi as his sire, Maximus quickly built his reputation as a ruthless vampire of the underworld, his battle skills bringing fear to many long before they even dared to meet him.

He was murdered in an intense battle against Damien Black, of the royal family in Roania. Now his legendary life lays at rest...

Hair/Eyes: Blonde/ brown
Situation: Living

Bio: Sigrun's true history is known to only few. But from what is gathered, it is rumored that he has returned to enact justice on an old enemy. Some say he is a restless spirit. No matter the myth, he is here.

And he's not going back.

Now, Sigrun has become the absolute ruler of Tarlachia. He had demonstrated a natural affinity to leadership, and has led Tarlachia into its golden age. Yet, despite the many changes in his life to date, he has never forgotten those that had been with him from his early years, most notably Skadi, Hondur, Stephen, Whiptail, and more. He has gained much wisdom over the years, his once explosive firery personality seeming to be a ticking time bomb. Now, he is more in control of his anger, and uses his common sense first..unless someone, or something truly pisses him off. Only then does his old traits; so made infamous in his vampiric life; come to surface from the deepest shadows of his soul.

Name: Osiris Davon
Age:32
Species: Human
Height/Weight: 185cm/80kg
Hair/Eyes: Brown/Blue
Situation: Deceased

Bio: Osiris was one of the first officers of the VP in Emerald City. He was chosen for his competent combat and leadership skills in the ordinary police force and so was automatically asigned a squad to control in the VP. During the initial years of the VP strict regulations prevented the VP from doing their job properly. It was Osiris that pushed forward the revolution of these laws that allowed more freedom. Osiris was one of the few surviving veterans of the AVI war. He died not long after Garm I in a car accident.

Name: Garm Tauber I
Age: 28
Species: Human
Height/Weight: 182cm/78kg
Hair/Eyes: Dark brown/brown
Situation: Deceased

Bio: Garm I was one of the first officers to join the VP and quickly made a name for himself as an effective warrior. It wasn't long before he was promoted to squad leader alongside Osiris. The two worked together for many years and became close friends and effective colleagues. Garm was known for his skill with pistols and the occassional use of blades in combat against vampires. Unfortunately Garm I died in the AVI war, killed by Alexader Kelsing.

Name: Garm Tauber II
Age: 34
Species: Human
Height/Weight: 186cm/82kg
Hair/Eyes: Dark brown/green
Situation: Deceased

Bio: Garm II is the great grandson of the famous Garm I. Unlike his father, Garm II had a keen interesting in combat and after growing up with many of his friends dying due to vampire attacks, he became determined to join the VP. Over the years he rose through the ranks until finally become VP captain of Emerald City. During the AVII war Garm developed a professional friendship with the mercenary Kurt Malone as the pair hunted troublesome vampires. At the end of the war, Garm was chosen along with Hondur to be the foundation of the ASA branch, ASHVO. During this time he became good friends with Hondur. Garm died several years later in a street battle against rogue vampires.

Name: Garm Tauber III
Age: 24
Species: Human
Height/Weight: 177cm/72kg
Hair/Eyes: Blonde/Brown
Situation: Deceased

Bio: Garm III is the great (x8) grandson of Garm I and perhaps the most different of them all. Mainly due to the legend of his ancestors, Garm rose to power through ASHVO very quickly, despite his age. He wasn't as great a warrior as other Garms, yet his leadership and management skills in running ASHVO made up for what he lacked in other areas. He considered Hondur a good friend but began to have doubts when Hondur seemed to be keeping the company of an old female vampire by the name of Skadi. At this point Garm was informed by the President that Hondur was a traitor. And so Garm was given the mission of killing Skadi. During the end of the AVIII war, Garm shot Skadi multiple times with silver nitrate bullets, injuring her gravely. Hondur reacted by killing Garm. He fathered no children.

Name: Raphael "Zero" Celadrin
Age: 1973
Species: Human (Noble Blood Vampire)
Height/Weight: 185cm/75kg
Hair/Eyes: Silver, shoulder length/Green
Situation: Living

Bio: It has been a year since Zero, a Noble Blood vampire from the island nation of
Atros, first participated in the Third Assingtonian War between the Assingtonian
vampires, the Hyraphore, and the Lycans. And yet a year could change so much.

Ever since the War, Zero had left Emerald City with Aeris, who was then a
15-year-old mortal girl he had saved from certain starvation on the streets of
Emerald City. He had wandered the world with Aeris, who exhibited traits that
were not usual with a normal human girl by this time. Zero had taken it as a
sign that Aeris was not what she appeared to be, and suspected she had powers no
one knew about, not even herself. Therefore, he brought her along to a new
destination: Dreban, Tarlachia. Where he would meet the leader of the Celadrin
Clan, and join it as part of a new force of the world.

He suspected Aeris had powers. He just didn't know how expansive they would
prove to be. And how much it would affect him as well.

After the events that transpired when they joined the Celadrin Clan, Aeris had
grown into something not quite human. To be specific, she now had angelic
abilities. Liam Celadrin, the leader of the Clan, soon found her out to be the
Nephilim Aerial, a newborn Angel who had somehow spent the first 15 years of her
life on Earth, unaware of her own heritage or abilities.......until now.

Even then though, her life history was clouded in mystery, and Liam suspected
that another aspect of Aeris is still hidden, preventing even the Nephilim from
finding out anything about her. Nevertheless, as a reward for finding one of
their own, Zero was from then on christened Raphael Celadrin, and he was also
given a heavenly blessing, which allowed him to see the sun for the first time,
despite his still being a vampire. But with that gift, came a new
responsibility: Zero will still have Aeris under his care, but now his task was
to do what even the angels could not. Which is, to find out the full legacy of
Aeris, and find out just how far her powers extend.

With the events of the Celadrin Clan over, Zero and Aeris retired back to Atros,
taking a break from all that had happened to them over the past few months. But
within the year, they had received an invitation from Sigrun Greenwood, one of
their old friends from the Assingtonian War, to attend his Star Trials, which
would eventually crown him as the leader of a new Tarlachia. And it was there,
that the second great change came upon Aeris.

She started displaying Elvish traits this time, including a sudden precocity for
the Elvish language, and a propensity to be able to cast Elvish spells she
didn't know she was even capable of. This attracted the attention of the
newly-crowned Ruler of Tarlachia, Sigrun Greenwood, and his cousin, the Crown
Princess Arleni. By her own request, and at the behest of the Ruler, Aeris
underwent an Elvish trial to determine the source of her Elvish power. And the
result was nothing like anyone expected.

Finally, Zero's task was complete. Aeris's presence as a Nephilim was hidden
from Heaven.......because she was not a full Nephilim. In fact, she was a
human-Nephilim-Elve hybrid........and she was the illegitimate daughter of the
Crown Princess Arleni. In other words, her Elvish blood and her Nephilim blood
hid each other from the eyes of the Nephilim and the Elves, and she was related
to Sigrun.

Faced with that fact, Sigrun finally decided to make Aeris a part of the royal
family, and she was thus crowned the Princess Aeris Celadrin Greenwood of
Tarlachia, second-in-line to the Royal Throne after the Crown Princess Arleni.
By association, Zero was also given the post of Princess Consort, and an offer
from the King of Atros also made him the Ambassador to Tarlachia.

Today, Raphael "Zero" Celadrin lives with the Princess Aeris in Tarlachia, and
while his vampiric nature means that he could not stay in the Aria Woodlands for
long and not succumb to the ancient bloodlust, he has bypassed that by spending
much of his time in the Atrosian Embassy.

Situation: Living

Bio: It used to be that nothing was known about the origins of the poor, vagrant girl
who was known only as Aeris. For most of her mortal life, young Aeris had lived
a life of abject poverty, with an old, sickly woman who had picked her up on the
streets as an abandoned infant. For the next 15 years of her mortal life, both
Aeris and her adoptive mother barely got by. Despite Aeris' effort in ekeing out
a living selling matchsticks, there was never enough to eat, much less wear, and
as the old woman grew weaker with time, Aeris tried to care for her as best as
it could. But it was a hopeless endeavour, for it was apparent that the old
woman would die in time, and leave Aeris alone, in a great big world that cared
not for her suffering.

Eventually, the old woman died, and Aeris was orphaned once more. Yet, even
15-year-old Aeris too was beginning to grow weak, and she too was near to death.
It was around this time that the Third Assingtonian Civil War between the
vampires of Skadi and the Hyraphore's Lycans was building up, and if Aeris
didn't die of starvation, eventually she would have met her fate at the hands of
a roving vampire out for his next lunch.

And it was indeed the latter that was eventually her fate. Although that fate,
surprisingly enough, was not to die.

The one who had found her was Zero, a Noble Brood vampire, an odd foreign ally
from Atros who had joined Skadi's side in the War according to the ancient vow
of his kind. And indeed it was Zero's intention to take her life, if only to do
her a kindness by putting her out of her misery. Yet, something caused Zero to
desist, and even though he had drunk from her, she still somehow managed to keep
on fighting. This, along with an unknown quality Zero couldn't explain, made him
decide to save her life instead, and claim her as his own mortal lover. The
events of the War seperated her from Zero for a while, but eventually, they were
reunited.

And thus was Aeris' life changed forever. Taken from the gutters of Emerald City
to the lap of luxury only a vampire aristocrat could provide, Aeris began to
blossom into the beautiful young woman that she was. An appreciation of life's
true hardships ensured that Aeris never took her blessings for granted, and this
helped her to grow into a kind-hearted young lady, blessed with riches by the
love of an Ancient. Now, she had everything, riches to last her a lifetime, a
love that will last beyond her lifetime, and she was a beautiful young woman,
with an equally beautiful heart. What more could she want?

As it appears, fate had yet more unexpected gifts for her.

Today, the Princess Aeris resides in Lower Taria, Tarlachia, the Elven City
where the Ruler of Tarlachia Sigrun Greenwood also resides, along with her
mother, the Crown Princess Arleni. The Archduke Raphael has not been forgotten
though, although he had been secluding himself in the Atrosian Embassy at
Dreban, for he knew that he would eventually fail to resist the temptation of
Elven blood all around him if he stayed in Lower Taria for too long. Still, the
immortal lovers meet as often as they can to this day.
