Krolor, An Introduction (Continued from "Brick to Marble, Silver to Gold").
Wortas grunted as the small ship's PD shrugged off his warning missile, something expected but not welcome. He then saw the other ship in his system, yet another invader. It enraged him beyond comprehension.
"WHAAAG! Order all ships to fire on the other ship, NOW!"

For a later post...
OOC: Wow, I'm really sorry for forgetting about this.
Commander Ainsley allowed his relief to show as the Kingston Advice appeared on his plot. Maybe his crew wouldn't die after all.
"Record message: 'Kingston Advice, your offer of assistance is both accepted and appreciated.' Send message."

The crew of the Kingston Advice prepares for action, although upon consideration of the odds things look more bleak than not.
Point defense systems are put on line and weapons operators report to their control rooms.
"Captain sah, there is a large force of unidentified, presumably hostile vessels approximately <distance & coordinates> away."
"I see...er...is everyone at battle stations?"
"Aye, sah."
"We're going to have to buy this Verniian freighter time."
The captain (forgot what I named him, will check) pulls up the vessel's missile inventory on a side display...
"We'll fire all our missiles plus jamming equipment into that fleet, and then beat it."
"Aye."
One of the bridge crew begins to press buttons and flick switches. Soon, a small flock of ship-to-ship missiles is launched from a modular missile bay, a piece of equipment then jettisoned as the engineers warm up the five Magneto-plasmadynamic thrusters and send the Kingston Advice hurtling in a direction opposite that of the pirate fleet.
Right about then the small fleet's volley of small missiles was released. The totaled in about 280 missiles, but not too advanced (Aka, not too many, if any, will get through)
Upon witnessing the amount of firepower aimed toward his fleet, Woras ordered evasive manuvers. The ships attempt to move but are too slow. Nearly half the fleet is knocked out of commission by the single wall of LRR missiles.

OCC: Just a quick note...er...the Kingston Advice isn't really shooting off that many missiles. Its a freighter and therefore only equipped with ho-hum weaponry. It really means to distract the pirate fleet in time to make a getaway.
(OOC: Oh... crap. Thanks, LRR.
Correction: )
