OOC: All I ask here is that you TG me, and then I will consider your request. If you can spell, and give me a decent force composition, then you will be accepted.

IC:
The planet of Ballis. An uninhabited world, but well suited to live exercises for the Snake Military. Deserts, raised steppes and high mountains, thick equatorial jungles, large oceans. This planet was a perfect testing arena.

High above the planet, Admiral Shalikan Rommel, a descendent of the famous German Field Marshall from Terra's 20th century, surveyed the padd before him. Displayed on it where any number of statistics, but his eyes were drawn to the letters and digits halfway down. His force composition. It wasn't much, but it was enough to test everything he wanted to test. He leaned back in his leather backed chair, staring out the large 'window' of his quaters onboard the Leviathan class battleship Barbarossa's Rage.

She was nearly two kilometres long, and among the most up-to-date warships in the Snake Eater Navy. Her name stemmed from the latest President, one Lord Barbarossa, whose rages were said to be lengendary among the higher echelons of the Military High Command. All along her lenght, weapon emplacements bristled, interspersed with fighter - and dropship - launch bays. But these weapons would not be used.

Instead, Rommel was to test the latest in Snake Eater forces. The Cobra Interceptor Mk III, the SE-12 'Viper' tank, and the Phantom-class dropship, designed to replace the ageing LightningSwords.

He glanced at the list again, and smiled. It made for good reading:

Force Composition
Infantry: x 300 Colonial Marines (2nd Company), x 600 Royal Green Jackets (5th and 10th Companies), x 100 Ocean Strike - Marines

Armour: x 25 SE-12 'Viper' tanks, x 10 Warriors (x10 Men capacity),

Landing Craft: (For Ocean Strike) x1 Zubr Class Landing Craft

Aircraft: x 60 Cobra Interceptor Mk III (Devil Squadron), x 20 Phantom-class dropships (160th SOAR, x30 men capacity), x 10 EH101 'Merlin' Heilcopter (x 20 man capacity), x 10 AH-6 Little Birds

Starships: S.E.N Basalisk (Intrepid-class), S.E.N Chimera (Defiant-class), S.E.N Zeus (Akira-class), S.E.N Hades (Galaxy-class), S.E.N Leo (Intrepid-class)

He closed the padd off, and turned to the desktop computer. He had yet to officially open the exercise. The most ardous task was also the most unforgiving in his mind

Subspace Transmission
The Shadowy State of Snake Eaters is opening her latest live-fire exercises to all interested nations. Exercise:Lone Wolf is an exercise of the highest calibre, and we invite any and all nations to participate. Although a test of military prowess, this could help foster diplomatic relations as well.

If you are interested, send a telegram or otherwise to the Snake Eater Diplomatic Corps. and they will respond with all due haste. We hope to hear from you soon

OOC: Force Composition: x1000 Infantry, x50 Armour units, x 10 Landing craft (Ocean-going), x100 aircraft, x5 starships. If you are MT, ignore the starships. These figures aren't open to change, just to keep it fair. However, they are maximum values, so you could choose to bring less. One final point: No special forces. Other than that, happy RP'ing

A ship has been dispatched, Leviathan's Forgiveness, which will be arriving shortly to transport you to Ballis. We thank you for your interest

Rommel read the transmission again, then dispatched it.

**********************************************************

Vice-Admiral Williams brought his ship into orbit around the planet on which Kazakhstania was located. He looked down at his transmission, and opened hailing frequencies,"To the governement of Kazakhstania, this is the Snake Eater ship Leviathan's Forgiveness. I am here to provide transport to Exercise: Lone Star. Request permission to send transport craft to retrieve your forces"

The Ground Commander read the message, and announced via VHF Radio:

"This is Clark Air Force Base, your craft is cleared for descent to Clark AFB, you will find these forces in Hangers 17, 18 and 225. Out."

With that, the forces geared up, and General Michael Koor waited in full combat clothing for the arrival of the ship.

The high-capacity C-79 Transport Cruiser descended silently from the clouds, it's jet black hull a stark contrast to the sky. It came in slowly, as if gauging the area before settling down, a cloud of dust raising around the craft. The loading ramp slid down before a lone figure walked calmly down. He was wearing Solider '95 Combat Fatigues, a pistol in a thigh holster. This man was General Damon Garit, one of Snake Eaters' most celebrated generals, the man who would be commanding the Snake Forces in the upcoming wargames

British Designed Uniforms, noticed the General. Civilized at least.

Althought it was hard to salute wearing a Battle Helmet, he saluted anyway, before slinging his rifle round his back to shake hands. First impressions were good, it seems. The C-79 looked a good aircraft, and this General looked like no paper-pusher. No rifle thought, just your officers Pistol. This man would be his adversary for the coming weeks, but you couldn't tell at this point.

He held out his hand, in front of all his men, a sign of civlisation and no hostile action. A handshake.

Garit smiled warmly, and returned the handshake,"General Garit, Colonial Marines, Snake Eaters."

As he shook hands, he noted a number of things. Firstly, the battle-dress. In his DPM's, he wore his grey beret with red shadow and silver wings with pride. It was a symbol of his status in the Snake Eater Military, and the Colonial Marines in particular. He had risen to command the Black Angels, an elite company of the Marines, and those who were taking part in the exercise. His H&K USP felt good at his side, chambered in .45 ACP. Currently, he was as far from his field uniform as it was possible to be

"General Michael Koor, Kazakhstanian Paratroopers. Glad to meet you, lets get this show on the road." he replied heartily.

Odd Beret, he thought. Never seen that one before. Of course, he would be in dress, but he came to fight, not to stand around looking fancy. He was a front line General, and damn proud of it.

"Where do my guys go?" he asked, referring to the men under his command.

"The transport can fit all your men and equipment. Just get onboard, and we'll get underway"

The General waved on the fighters first, as they were by far the largest, followed by the tanks, then men.

This was a large Combat Unit, all looking forward to the coming wargames. As they got onbaord and gasped at the sophistication of the aircraft and troops on it, it looked like the fight might be quite close.

Within minutes, though, the troops had set up cots and made themselves comfy, and several had made the jump and began talking to the troops onboard.

Sgt. Keni Thomas was chatting to one of the troopers from this new unit. He was a Royal Green Jacket, and led a section of eight men. Slung at his back was a M-8 Lightweight Assualt Rifle,"So, what do you think to us on first impressions?"

"Smooth, real smooth. Not sure about the rifles, though." replied Corporal James Pike, swinging round his KAL-95 Kazakh Assault Rifle. He showed it to the Sargeant, proud of Kazkahstania's shiny new rifle.

OOC:

That's me for the night I'm afraid. See you!

OOC: See you soon

The Queendom of Kaymiril wishes to participate in these wargames,
and with the approval of SEP, presents the following list of forces.

Thalack Class:
100 Oloth
100 Vhid
100 Elghinn
100 Orbb
100 Asse
100 Vlos
100 Elge

The Thalack class is the basic military vehicle, and can be used for infantry and aerial warfare, as well as a sort of calvalry warfare.

Phoenix Class
150 Chath-Suru
100 Xar'zith-Suru
100 Arshes-Suru

The Phoenixes are basically standing room and a shield for one passenger, and are used for low aerial combat. Not as sturdy as the Thalack, nor with as much brute force, they are useful for wreaking havoc on enemy ground forces.

Drokk class ((these are basically the tanks...and can double as small battleships))
20 Inlul -- Smaller and more agile than the other two, used out on an open field.
10 Ky'ostal -- Heavily armored and unmanuverable, can be used for taking cities or breaking into strongholds.
10 Sithyrr -- Not as heavily armored as the Ky'ostal, but it has a harder punch. Useful on the field and in cities.

Admiral Rommel looked impassivley over the forces assembled before him. Off to his left, the Kaymirilian forces. Off to his right, the Kazakhstania men and equipment, led by a General Koor. And finally, pride of place, in the centre, Snake Eaters' own. Colonial Marines, Royal Green Jackets, and the Crusaders - a Viper tank unit. All under the command of General Garit, one of Snake Eaters' finest field commanders. You could guarantee that Garit would be at the thick of the action with his men, not being one to stay behind the lines whilst men got 'killed'

Rommel took a deep breath, and began his address to the assembled troops,"My friends, welcome to Exercise: Lone Wolf. You have all been breifed, you all have seen the area of operations. You are all aware of what it is you are here to do. There seems to be little for me to say, so I shall finish before I bore you to death. Go out there, and make your nation's military proud."

**********************************************************
Twelve Hours later
Sgt. Harri crept forward with his Royal Green Jackets section, well aware that his section was taking point for the platoon. Not even a day into the exercise, and already they were planning an assualt.

The lay-out of the exercise was simple. Although Snake Eaters' had stipulated a set limit on the forces, their own military was providing the enemy, although they weren't affliated with the others. The Coldstream 1st Battalion, nearly 5000 men, posing as enemy personnel, were holding strategic positions, as well as the 'main town' in the area, in which the final objective was held. The brief given to all forces was thus:

Your enemy has siezed a local town that is important to your efforts in the region. However, other forces are also said to be looking at capturing and occupying this town, in order to eliminate all enemies due to it's multiple strategic advantages. Your mission is to recapture the town by any means, and eliminate any and all resitance to your efforts.

High Command

OOC: Basically, this is an action AND character RP. Do as you see fit... alliances can be forged, promises broken, grudges played out. Let your imagination run. And recruit others

Kazakhstanian Command
Shortly After

After the briefing, the officers of the task force had decided what to do. The attack would come in three waves, they decided. Around 500 men would be commited to the attack, and half the forces armor. It would go in without Air Support, but with highly accurate artillery fire.

The attack was scheduled for two days alter, as the troops got into position. First, half the Infantary would go in, and see what the defence was like. This would be followed by the Armor, then more troops, the counter any counter-attack. Everyone hoped it would work. However, one attack would be launched today.

They had found a hill near the town, and neaded to capture it, as an Artillery Observation Point. Echo Platoon, led by Lieutenant Cooper, would take a twenty five man team and take the hill, and secure it against any counter-attacks.

Everyone else just dug in, and the artillery camflauged itself in any woodland possible.
