Bride sought for the Prince Verys

Antiia
01-05-2005, 03:21
Her Royal Majesty, Queen Latia the first, is seeking a bride for her nephew, the Prince Verys. Queen Latia feels that at the age of 27, it is far past due time for him to marry and continue the Royal family, the queen herself having no children.

Prince Verys:

(most recent image of the prince, following a recent skirmish in southern Antiia, rooting out Army of Freedom rebels)

Prince Verys is the son of Duke Kyle Anteen, brother of former King Anteen, bother King Harion Anteen, Duke Anteen, and much of the inner Royal Family died tragically in a horrific airplane incident. After which, Queen Latia, new wife of King Harion Anteen, was coronated and adopted both Prince Verys, and his younger 16 year old sister Princess Mia. Princess Mia had taken ill a day before the flight, and it was decided that she would remain at the Palace, while Prince Verys was leading his battalion in rooting out Army of Freedom rebels who had made a recon incursion beyond the uneasy line of truce that both sides had reached.

Prince Verys was educated at the Antiian Royal University, and holds a degree in political and economic science with a minor in war studies. He became a second lieutenant and was granted command of a platoon in the Royal Guards. He eventually became a company commander of a prestigious Palace Guard company, but abandoned the elite Royal Guards in favour of the largely conscripted Regular Army. He became a battalion commander under Colonel Isen, and together they have turned the 1st lancer Brigade into a crack, well disciplined unit. He has distinguished himself in several engagements, and is loved and respected by all, including the rebels in the south.

In addition to being a distinguished military officer, the Prince owns and partly runs the Antiian People's Industries corporation, with expansive mining rights in the north, a 50% stake in the offshore oil rig, and numerous factories in Antioch and other cities.

Her majesty would prefer that prospective brides have an age difference no greater than five or six years, that they be from a family of some stature, so no average janes are allowed, and there are other requirements. Anyone interested in encouraged to submit a description and image if available, and all are welcome to come to the Royal Palace to meet with Prince Verys and spend some time in Antiia.

We wish to know what is defined as a family of stature as well as the other requirements?

Family of stature simply means that the family must be have someone in a position of note, such as a politician, a military officer, a businessman, celebrity. Other than that, the only other requirement is that all potential brides be no older or younger than about five or six years.

Rastaban would like to submit HRH Lady Kishar Etain for Prince Verys' consideration.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v447/Oenone/NS/kishar.jpg

Her Royal Highness, Lady of Snawdon, Kishar Charlene Etain, Princess-of-the-Blood and Heir Apparent to the throne of Rastaban was born on March 2, 1980. She is the eldest daughter of Duke Bart and Duchess L'aura Etain of Leh'mu (L'aura is Queen Cora's Aunt). She has one older sibling and seven younger brothers and sisters, including twins. Her offical title is HRH Kishar Etain, Lady of Snawdon. The title of Lady of Snawdon is a courtesy title usable by the eldest daughter of the Duke of Leh'mu. Kishar opted not to take the title of princess upon her coming of age.

As a child she was quite a handful wanting to do things her father and older brother did. Eventually her mother lost that battle and Kishar learned to hunt, shoot, and love all sorts of sports. A type of tomboy her mother disapproved of. L'aura countered such things by enrolling Kishar in a finishing school where the women who attended learned to be proper women. This did, eventually, calm Kishar's wild streak.

After her basic school Kishar went on to study at the New Avalon University and just recently recived her degree in English and History, with various minors in business.

She loves football (both American and European versions), car racing, and history, among other things.

Kishar is currently Queen Cora's heir. Though truthfully this title should go to Empress Cally of Athan (Cora's younger half-sister), or the future wife of the Empress' son. The queen has chosen to over look this and name her first cousin her heir, until Cora produces one. When Kishar has children they shall be styled as His/Her Royal Highness Prince/ss of Rastaban until they decided otherwise upon coming of age.
--------------------------------------------------

Lady Kishar is board a plane to Antiia and is willing to spend time with the prince unless said other wise.
--------------------------------------------------

"You have everything?" Daniel, Kishar's cousin and Cora's older brother asked as they stood infront of the plane.

Kishar picked up a suitcase and smiled at him. "Yes, I am. Thank you for coming."

"You know Cora would be here if she could. Duty calls though."

She smiled and embraced her cousin in a hug. "I know. But if she came we'd both be crying."

"Your Royal Highness, we're ready," a flight attendant said. Kishar nodded thanking her.

Daniel wished her luck as she boarded. Kishar waved to him as the plane took off for Antiia.

A knock on the king's office pulled his attention away from the prospective alliances he was looking over. "Enter" King Dandre said.

A small man entered and presented Dandre with a file of papers. "Your Majesty. Some recent intelligences."

"Thank you." Dandre took the file and looked it over. Most of it was useless. Things that didn't pertain to him or his nation, but it was always nice to know what what happening in other nations.

A picture caught his eye. It was of a young prince from Antiia. Under it was the prince's request, through his aunt the Queen Latia the First, for a bride.

"Ah, wonderful. Go find Princess Myrium for me."

The small man left and returned a short while later with the king's eldest daughter. Luckily he caught her while she was in the palace.

"Myrium, how would you feel about going to Antiia to meet Prince Verys. He is currently seeking a wife. I know you love Terre DeAnge, but I know you also love to travel."

Myrium looked at her father. He was always quick to the point. And so was she. She understood his "hidden message". If she and Verys married it would be a great alliance between their two nations. "Yes. I'll go father."

He smiled. "Perfect."

*Armed Forces of the Antiian Queendom base camp, 9 klicks north of Three Creeks*

Prince Verys walked towards the headquarters tent to meet with colonel Isen and the other COs in the brigade, to discuss the recent orders to form a 'ring of steel' around the town of Three Creeks, along with two other small towns after a recent rebel attack. Several of his battalion's soldiers walked by him and snapped salutes and said "Good morning sir" as they walked past.

Verys returned the salutes and struck up a small conversation with his men before continuing on to the Headquarters when the thundering of an approaching helicopter caused him to look north as a Royal Guard Griffon came in and landed at the makeshift helipads.

From the helicopter a pair of armed Royal Guardsman and an officer stepped out, and spoke to one of the soldiers that went up to greet them. Verys was to far away to hear what was said and continued onto towards the headquarters tent when the Royal Guard officer jogged towards him.

"Your highness, Her Majesty requests your attendance at the Palace for an urgent matter. My orders to bring you directly there," the officer, a lieutenant, said.

"Lieutenant, this conflict is about to turn into a full fledged civil war, I am needed here with my men, not at the Palace" Verys replied.

"Sir, Her Majesty insisted most strongly that you come with us, and that this matter is of urgent concern for both yourself, the royal family, and Antiia," the lieutenant responded.

"Very well, if my aunt really needs me, then I don't have much choice. Give me a minute to grab some of my kit" Verys replied as he turned towards his barracks and started jogging.

When he arrived he grabbed some of his gear, some spare clothes, his weapon and other battle gear, and signalled for his two close friends, Kevin and Victor to come with him and quickly explained the situation as the three of them moved towards the helicopter. Before he got to the helipad, he swung by the headquarters HQ and informed Colonel Isen, the brigade commander, of the situation.

The three of them boarded the chopper, to the protest of the lieutenant who said he wasn't supposed to bring anyone else, and then the Griffon lifted off and headed towards Antioch.

*Several hours later*

The Griffon landed at the Palace helipads and the prince, along with Victor and Kevin, headed towards the Palace itself, with their weapons slung around them, and for the most part in full battle gear as they entered. Once inside, the Queen saw them and headed towards them.

"My dear Verys, it so good to see you again" Queen Latia smiled sweetly as she came down a grand spiral staircase and down into the main foyer to greet her nephew.

"Aunt Latia, it is good to see you to..." Verys forced a smile, doing his best to suppress his digust at her dual nature, all smiling and sweet right now, yet only a few weeks ago had ordered the slaughter of thousands of protestors in a rebel city.

Then the Queen started to look over the three and shook her head and let out a sigh, "I only left orders for yourself, but I suppose an escort would be approriate, although I must admit your attire is horrific, do you really want your prospective brides to see you walking around with vests and uniforms and a rifle slung around you? Hurry to your chambers, they've been left as you left them, and I'll send up a tailor to get you a new suit, they should be able to get one before Myrium and Kishar arrive," the Queen said.

"My what?!" Verys responded hearing the words 'prospective' and 'brides'.

"Why your prospective brides of course, and both of Royal blood, of course others might still come, I had one of the servants leave a short file on both of them for you in your room. Afterall, you are twenty seven, and it is time you found yourself a family. Now I must go attend some matters of state, the girls should be arriving in a couple of hours, and a motorcade will bring them here," the Queen smiled and walked away.

Verys turned to his companions, both of whom, despite their better judgement, let out a chuckle as Verys looked upon them.

"I got called away from a war to get married, and nobody bothered to tell me..." Verys shook his head as he headed up the stairs and towards his room, a chuckling Kevin and Victor in tow.

*Antioch International Airport*

A motorcade was waiting, consisting of sleek black limos and sedans, and a contingent of Royal Guards stood at attention near the runway, along with them was the Queen's personal attendant, James Prescott, and the whole group waited patiently for the planes to start arriving.

Message:
Unfortunately, we cannot accept your offer to hold the wedding in your lands, as we are keeping with tradition and will be married at the Prince's own palace, presently undergoing final touches on one of the hilltops overlooking Antioch. However, the prince and his bride may stop by your nation for a visit during their honeymoon, and if any of your...people...would care to attend the wedding, we would be honoured.

King Tim sat on his personnal jet rushing towards a national crisis. A regiment of Royal Infantry we're already heading towards the crisis zone. He only hoped that the local police could contain the outbreak till they got there. He sat pouring over what ever information he could find on the issue. Then his Private Seceratary came over. "Sir some news I feel may interst you."
"What is it about?" said the King takeing the papers from Humphrey
"A Prince Very's appears to be requireing a bride sir. Thought you'd best see it as you specifically requested these matters to come to you."
"I'm rushing to a crisis of epic proportions, and you camoe to tell me that a Prince somewhere is feeling a tad lonely. A touch flippant don't you think Humphrey?"
"Sir, the political wheels spin regardless, and this "Epic Crisis" as you put it, is probbly under control as we speak. Have faith in your men and think of the distant future also."
"Yes, yes i suppose your right. Thought it will have to wait till after this is dealt with." He sat and wrote for a while. "Send them this message." he smiled. "Certainly sir." said Humphrey.

Mesage to Antiia:

While I was pleased to hear that Prince Very's has elected to take a wife and maintain his dynasty. I must inform you that NDB (Ninja Death Buiscuits) as a nation is dealing with a quite serious natioanl calamity. One which requires all our attentions for the moment. While I have passed this information on to Princess Zinnia. She is with me in dealing with this crisis. However if circumstances we're differn't then perhaps she would have leaped at such an oppourtunity to make diplomatic relations with a fellow nation, as i would also. Maybe if the Prince is still seeking a bride after we have dealt with our problems the two should meet. I wish the prince and Antiia the best of luck in the future and send them our regards on behalf of my people.

Kishar's plane landed and her heart jumped into her throat as she did so. She was nervous to say the least, but also excited.

"You Royal Highness," came the calming voice of Kishar's personal attendant, Rachel Klaus. "We're ready to disembark."

Kishar nodded and smiled gather the small suitcase she kept close to her. She had also brought two other suitcases, for she wasn't sure how long she would be staying in Antiia.

Rachel gave the signal to the pilot to open the plane door and allow them to get off. Out of precaution Rachel walked down the stairs, then Kishar followed. The heir to the Rastaban throne was surprised to see a motorcade made of black limos waiting.

Rachel approached an important looking man. Probably he was in change of this little caravan. She present her hand to him to shake. "Rachel Klaus, personal attendant of Her Royal Highness Lady Kishar of Snawdon."

Kishar also held out hers. She wasn't for formalities, which was why she took the courtesy title instead of keeping princess upon her coming of age. "Your nations looks quite lovely from above, sir. I can't wait to see if from ground level."

Princess Myrium's plane landed perhaps only moment after Kishar's. Myrium adjust her clothes and hair. She was never one to make a bad first impression.

"Princess, I believe that is your 'competition' down there," said her mother's lady-in-waiting, Marie Lopez, whom her mother had brought with her from Spain.

"Really, Marie. That is no way to talk about a foreign princess, or any princess for that matter," Myrium scolded.

Marie laughed, "She's hardly a princess. Turned down the title when she reached her majority. She is currently the Lady of Snawdon, and that's a courtesy title at that. I think that would be a comtesse in Terre DeAnge."

Myrium rolled her eyes. "That is beside the point. I have been told that she's is heir to her kingdom's throne until the current queen can produce a heir."

The lady-in-waiting shook her head. "You really ought to read the newspaper more often. She's not from a kingdom, but a queendom. Only women rule in . . . Rastaban I believe it is. She's the queen's eldest female first cousin."

"We keep saying 'she'. Does 'she' have a name?"

"Why, yes, of course. Kishar Etain. Happy now, you highness?" Marie asked, her dark eyebrow raised.

"Yes, quite, thank you. Let us get off this plane. I need fresh air."

"Of course, princess." Marie called for one of the servants to open the plane door to allow them to get off. Myrium walked down the stairs that had been brought to the plane first, followed closely by Marie, and then various other servants and attendants.

As the Princess of Terre DeAnge approached the motorcade two guards flanked her sides. They were dressed in dull gray garb, their long hair was pulled back into a single braid, and they had their arms crossed, each going inside their dull gray sleeves. They were Cassieline Brothers, celibate warriors who traditionally guarded members of the House de la Courcel. King Dandre and sent them with his daughter to protect her. Though they wore dull garb, their faces were very beautiful and they almost looked fragile, though that was farther from the truth.

A man came forward and presented the princess to James Prescott. "Her Royal Highness, Princess Myrium de la Courcel of Terre DeAnge, Duchesse de L'Étoilesoir." The man bowed to Mr. Prescott and gestured to Myrium as she did so. Myrium, who was wear a simple, but very expensive, dress curtsied at Mr. Prescott.

"It is an honor to be in your land, sir." Myrium said and then stood to look at Mr. Prescott, though not directly in the eyes.

Meanwhile, Marie was eyeing Kishar, wondering was so special about a woman with average looks - at least by D'Angeline standards.

"It is rather beautiful your highness, though you should perhaps hold your comments until you have seen the gardens of the Royal Palace, they can be quite breathtaking" said Prescott as bowed his head slightly before heading over to the other arrival.

After being addressed by Princess Myrium, Prescott noticed she wouldn't look him in the eye as she address him and looked at him, but decided, that since he knew little of her nation, not to mention it, "It is an honour to have you within our nation your highness" he bowed his head slightly before turning to address both of the prospective brides.

"Now that we have been introduced, I trust you wish to visit the palace and meet the Prince" Prescott said as he gestured towards the two limos, one for each of the princesses. Royal guards, in ceremonial garb, placed their luggage within the trunks and assisted them in getting in before they returned to their sedans and the motorcade drove off.

The line of sedans and limos, took the scenic route towards the palace, passing by several minor landmarks, while Royal Guards in the passenger seat of each limo acted as tour guides, informing each princess about some of the things in Antioch, some of the history of Antiia, and other information.

The motorcade arrived at the outer wall of the palace, where its expansive and highly decorate, yet fully function walls, stood, passing through the gates, each princess was encourage to take in some of the beauties of the outer courtyard, although anti-tank guns, trenches, and air defences detracted from it.

The motorcade then reached the inner gates, and passing through them, were greeted by a sizeable crowd of Antiian citizens who cheered at the sight of the vehicles carrying the prospective brides of their beloved prince.

The vehicles drove around the large rose garden in the center, where a plethora of multicoloured roses, arranged in the shape of the Anteen family crest surrounded a massive fountain, with four lions facing each compass direction spouting water.

The vehicles stopped, and the princesses stepped out, as the crowd started throwing rose petals to greet them.

The Prince emerged from the palace, dressed in black suit pants, a rather tight silver dress shirt tucked in, and his sleeves rolled up. He felt slightly uncomfortable in the civilian clothes, but he had always liked that specific outfit, and the tailor had done a good job resizing and fixing it up for him.

Kevin and Victor emerged behind him, one wearing an outfit belonging to Verys, the other an outfit that had been borrowed off one of the Royal Guard officers, neither of them having any clothes with them at the base camp to have brought.

As the princesses emerged, Prescott introduced each one, and lead them and their attendants up the stairs towards the Palace door where the Prince stood.

"So I have to marry either of these two women...well, they aren't that bad looking, and at least I have some choice in the matter" Verys muttered to himself and to Victor and Kevin who patted him on the back to reassure him.

Verys started walking towards the approaching princesses and let a smile come across his face as he took Kishar's hand, spoke "Lady Kishar, it is an honour to meet you, I am Prince Verys" kissed her hand, and did the same for Princess Myrium.

Kishar thanked the guards who loaded her lugged into limo for doing so and the Royal Guard who gave her the little "tour" as well.

Verys started walking towards the approaching princesses and let a smile come across his face as he took Kishar's hand, spoke "Lady Kishar, it is an honour to meet you, I am Prince Verys" kissed her hand, and did the same for Princess Myrium.

Kishar looked over Prince Verys and gave an inner sigh that he was good looking and appeared to be kind, though he held himself like a military man. She sensed that about him. When he kissed her hand, despite herself, she felt her cheeks light up. It quickly went away went he did the same to Myrium.

"The pleasure is all mine, Your Royal Highness. And may I say that you have a lovely nation," Kishar began, "Your Royal Guard where most helpful in pointing out the sights and telling me a bit of Antiia's history on our way here. Myrium looked over the talk, dark and handsome prince. 'Like a prince from a fairytale,' she thought.

"I don't wish for this to become an overly formal setting either. I would do so myself, however, I have some urgent matters to attend to, although I will come by as soon as they have been dealt with," Verys said as he motioned for Kevin and Victor to join him.

"Guys, take their luggage and show them around the palace a bit, give them a chance to get to know each other, I need to find my aunt and find out what the hell I'm supposed to do," Verys whispered before turning back to the two ladies, smiling and nodding as he walked back into the palace to search for the queen.

Kevin and Victor took the luggage from the Royal Guards and introduced themselves, "My name's Kevin Korrel, an old friend of Verys', this here's Victor Olar, another old friend of Verys'. If you'll both care to follow us, we'll show you around the palace" Kevin said as he, Victor, and the princesses entered into the palace, heading up the flight of stairs, and towards the chambers that had been set aside.

Meanwhile, Verys had found his aunt, the Queen, in her office, "Aunt Latia, thank god I found you..." Verys started before the queen interupted him.

"Ah, Verys dear, good to see you, though I'm curious as to why you aren't with the Lady Kishar and Princess Myrium, I have been looking forward to meeting them and was about to go join you."

"They are the reason I'm here, I have Kevin and Victor showing them around the palace, but I don't know what I'm supposed to do... I don't exactly have experience in this sort of thing," Verys said.

"Well, why don't you take one out for a nice night, visit some of our tourist attractions, perhaps go up to the palace being finished for you in the mountains, and I and your sister can meet the other, and then once you and whichever one you take are done, you can take the other out," Queen Latia said as she rose from her seat.

"Mia is here?" Verys asked.

"Why yes, of course, do you think I would let you choose a bride without your sister putting in some input?" the queen chuckled.

Verys groaned, though he loved his sister and would enjoy seeing her again, the last thing he needed was to have her running around during this time, "Very well, I will go and find Kishar and take her out, then I'll take Myrium...just don't go about interrogating Myrium while I'm gone, and make sure Mia doesn't do the same"

"As you wish m'lady. Well, I first met Verys at basic training years back. Rastaban just recently went through a civil war and I was on the field with those injured and can say they are very brave for even signing up. You never know what state your nation will be in. In the morning all is well and when night falls you're plunged into a full out war." The Rastabite caught herself rambling on and stopped. She was going to say more when Kevin brought them to the gardens.

The layout was breath taking, one could not look at something with out seeing something equally beautiful next to it. She couldn't contain what she saw at first, her smile growing wide as she looked at various plants and flowers. "Oh my, if this is the outside, I can't wait to see the inside," Kishar said, not able to even imagine what the inside looked like. "How long has this garden been growing?" her question directed toward Kevin or Victor. "This is a most outstanding garden. I know my cousin would be interested in seeing this."

"I'm sorry to hear about your civil war, we ourselves are going through some tough times in the south with the Freedom Army seeking to overthrow the monarchy and install an elected parliament to power, and just between us, I can't say I blame them. As for the gardens, looking through a window kind of detracts from it a bit, as for the inside of the dome, I'm sure Verys would be happy to show you. The garden was created a few hundred years ago, just after the fall of the Empire when Duke Anteen lead the people in a war against Emperor Tiberius and freed Antiia, he fell in the battle, and was buried here, the people he had freed made a statue of him and planted the original gardens. The statue is still there, but contained within the dome, which was built about fifteen years ago. If you think your cousin would like to see them, then I'm sure she would be more than welcome to visit them. So what do you think of the gardens princess?" Victor replied as he looked over to Myrium to get her opinion.

Myrium was indeed in awe of the layout of the garden and the flora used to create it. "They are most breath taking," she said, still looking out at the garden. She could imagine herself walking through them, completely at ease as she did so. If that's all Antiia had to offer (which she sure it wasn't) she wouldn't find it quite nice to live here with the prince.

She came back to herself, going over what Victor had said. "What is this Freedom Army? Why do they wise to dispose of the monarchy?" This was rather important, for there my be gardens, but Myrium did not want to be killed because she was of royalty. Being exiled would be another matter. She could always go back to her home, where she would be a princess no matter what.

"The Freedom army are a group of rebels based mostly in the south, but with supporters throughout the nation, who wish for a democracy. Back before Queen Latia, there were municipal governments across the nation and democratic councils that advised the Noble and Royal families. The King was a supporter of such movements, but Latia, everyone knew of her opinion of them. When the King died, the councils and elected officials pushed for a new democratic government, and before Latia was coronated, she deployed the Royal Guard in a purge of the nation, the elected officials were arrested, some executed, some renounced democracy and left the public spotlight, while many others fled south and formed the Freedom Army. The south is democratic, and they field a small army that has been mobilizing and building strength, rumours of all out war are around. However, it is not so much the Royal Family they wish to dispose, after all, much of the Freedom Army holds respect and even love for Verys, who was a supporter of the Democratic movement before Latia came onto the throne. They have, for the most part, harassed only Royal Guard positions, their army used primarily for defence. That changed when Latia, on her coronation day, had thousands of protestors killed at their de facto capital, and bombed the hospital and had strafing runs on their emergency vehicles, destroying fire trucks and ambulances. Since then tensions have flared, but the Regular Army has remained largely neutral, though there have been a number of skirmishes. Also, Queen Latia has been conscripting tens of thousands and building up the military, and we think we might soon move against them. But you don't have to worry, the trouble is far from here, and Antioch is well protected and far from their posssible attack range," Kevin recited, hoping his mention of the freedom army hadn't scared either of the two prospective brides.

A second later, Verys emerged from down the hall and seeing the group came up to them, "My apologies for having to run off like that, Victor, Kevin, if you could take care of Princess Myrium, I would like take Kishar out into the city to show her around. Myrium, when we return, I'd like to show you around the city as well," Verys said as he took some of Kishar's bags from Kevin.

Kishar listened intently on what Kevin had to say about the Freedom Army. It did unsettle her a little, but from what she understood from what Kevin said and how he said that it was a long time coming. Yet his reassurance set her better at ease. She wasn't worried that there would be an attack while she was there, but she hoped by the time things came to a head that Prince Verys was on the throne and able to stop it.

"My words can't help, but I am sorry to see things turning to such," she replied when he was finished.

"No need to apologize, Prince Verys," she said, smiling at the prince. He really was quite handsome and just the short time she had been with him could hint at what his people liked about him.

She saw him take her things from Kevin. "Oh, you don't have to do that. I could carry them," she offered. "Or at least some. You don't have to wait on me hand and foot." Kishar gave him a kind smile, one that showed her humor but that he was serious too.

Myrium looked over at Kishar, her face said nothing of what she thought. 'Why her?' was the first thing that came to mind. Then she recovered. She smiled sweetly at Kishar. "Have fun, Lady Kishar, and don't dare tell me a thing when you come back. I want to experience everything first hand."

Still, she felt slightly jealous that Kishar had been chosen first for the tour over her. She turned back to Kevin and Victor and gave them a kind smile. "Shall we, gentlemen?"

"Right this way Princess, your room is just right there. It includes pretty much everything you'll need, ah, there's Princess Mia," Victor said as the trio headed towards an open doorway where the Princess Mia stood smiling to greet one of her brother's prospective brides.

"Hi Victor, Kevin. You must be Princess Myrium, I'm Verys' sister, Princess Mia" the 19 year old princess said sweetly as she extended her hand.

"As you wish, your room is just right over here" Verys said, handing one of the bags over to Kishar as he lead her to her room a corridor over from Myrium's. "You've already seen Antiia, and I'm sure Kevin and Victor or the Royal Guards must have told you about some of it and its history, so what of your nation? I'm afraid I don't know much of anything about Rastaban."

Kishar took the bag gladly. She hated being seen as incapable doing things for herself. True, she did believe in "old fashion" manners such as men opening doors and pulling out chairs, those sort of things. "Thank you, Prince Verys."

"Yes, Kevin, Victor and your Royal Guards have been very helpful in showing me around your lovely nation," Kishar began. "Lets see, about Rastaban. Well, the throne is only inherited by women. Its been that way for the past two thousand plus years. Currently my first cousin, Cora, holds it. We recently just came out of civil war. Cora's step-father tried to have her over throne to put his daughter, her half-sister, up on it. She went to the front lines and fought with her troops. I wasn't allowed, for she designated me as her heir, but I attended the wounded. Her brothers and mine were at her side."

She gave a nervous laugh. "Sorry, that might not what you wanted to hear. Its just that since Queen Julie, Cora's mother, died all the problems that were there came to ahead when she took the throne. The people love her, however. Cora walks and talks with them as her own. She's broken down a lot of old barriers and our country has prospered because of it. My mother's favorite saying is that we are relaxed royalty. We socialize with our servants, one of my younger brother J'son is even engaged to wed stable hand."

Kishar adjust her grip on the bag she held. "I don't know what else to say, for the most part our nation hasn't been in any major conflicts, outside our own, and I think for the most part most Rastabites are patriotic."

"Anything you have questions on?"

Myrium listened at Victor began to describe her room then looked toward the open doorway at the woman he saw. 'Princess Mia,' she thought, not recalling that Verys he had mentioned a sister.

"A pleasure to meet you, your Highness," she said taking Mia's hand, bowing her head and doing a formal dip at the same time.

"Sorry to hear about your war, and sorry if I happened to touch on a sore spot. Well, here we are, I'll just wait out here for a few minutes if you want to put all your stuff away, or if you want to wait until afterwards we can go now," Verys said as the couple arrived at Kishar's room.

"Oh, don't worry about being formal, my father was pretty informal, and Verys and I have followed in his footsteps. After you're done, my aunt and myself would love to have you join us for dinner," Mia replied.

"Oh, well, its nothing to important," she replied. "I can do it after we're done. I just want to set these down of course." Opening the door Kishar sat down the bag she was carring. "I'll take what you have and set them down too." She held out her hand waiting for the prince to hand the rest over. "And don't worry. You didn't strike a sore spot. We've grown and learned from the experience. Its helping our nation grow stronger."

Myrium smiled at Princess Mia. "Yes, of course. I did not wish to offend you, however. It wouldn't do make a bad impression." She gave a soft laugh. "I would be honored to join your Highness and Her Majesty for dinner." She smiled once more. "Forgive me. It seems to be drilled into my head. May I ask, though, what I should wear for dinner?"

Verys handed over Kishar's bag to her and once she had set it down he led her down the hallway, down a flight of stairs, and towards one of the Palace garages, making small talk along the way.

Verys opened the door to the garage, and flicked on the lights, quickly scanning the vehicles for his own personal ferrari, smiling as he spotted the black F50. He lead Kishar down a few steps and grabbed the ferrari's keys from a small cabinet, and unlocked it as they approached it, "so, what kind of food do you like?"

Back at Myrium's room, Mia responded "Well if you wish to change, just anything that looks nice really would be good. Whenever you're ready, just hit this, and it'll autodial one of the Royal Guards, Lieutenant Winter, and he'll bring you down to the banquet hall, or provide any other help you may need. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to get to the kitchen," Mia finished as she smiled, nodded and left the room.

"Oh, thank you. I'll be down quickly," Myrium smiling. "I do not wish you keep you nor your aunt waiting." She nodded her head in return and watched the princess go before closing her door to change into something else.

She picked a light blue dress that matched her eyes, it has small cap sleeves, and was proper to wear infront of a queen. On her feet she wore white shoes that snugged her them just right, they also made her legs look exceptionally sculpt. Myrium brushed out her blond hair and let it hang down naturally, she just lightly put on some make-up, nothing heavy, she didn't want to give the wrong impression.

When Myrium was all done she autodialed the Royal Guard.

Kishar's jaw dropped when she saw the Ferrari. "Is that . . . Is that a F-Fifty, with a V12, and six on the floor?" she asked. She felt like squealing like one of those little fan girls that followed boy bands around. Approaching it with caution, for she was two in awe to even touch it, she looked inside and wanted to squeal again.

He asked her about food and Kishar nearly keeled over again. After showing her this car food was the least in her mind, but she supposed he could give her a car tour later. "Um, I like it all. But for some reason I'm craving Italian right now.

OOC: Glad to see that I wasn't the only one.
