(ooc: this is open for now because many of the people that signed up I haven't heard from recently.)

The Duke of Winchia was more for show than for any actual political need. Nonetheless he was important, influential, and famous. As he sat with his bodyguards and his buisness parter in the Piazza Dell'Imperatore, as it has recently been bubbed, he noticed the small man across the table from him was apprehensive.

"Relax councilman, it has all been taken care of."

"How could you possibly know what I'm concerned about?"

The Duke rolled his eyes at that comment. How much was there to be concerned with at a time like this. The Emperor was dead, his psychotic wife was filling his position, and the coronation was to take place in twenty-four hours and the city was hardly ready for the delegates, attendees, and psychos trying to kill everyone. "Just a hunch," he offered not feeling like getting into an argument. "Its time we go."

"How much time is left?"

"Well, traffic into the underground is backed up and we have to be there in less than an hour." Winchia had since been all but abondoned with its population going below ground. However, the old city was gorgeous when there wasn't a thread of orbital bombardment.

As the two entered their transport they went over trafic control and how this logistical nightmare was to be carried out. It was going to be messy but it would get the job done. Checkpoints were everywhere and massive spaces were being cleared out for the entertainment and events. After some time they reached the palace and they departed. The Duke left to attend a meeting with other political figures to discuss all kinds of things that the councilman was not to concern himslef with. Besides he had matters of his own to attend to.

Councilman Jenkins wasn't as noble and clean as he was made out to be and even during an event such as this he would watch his act. He was worried about the Lady who would assume totalatarianist power and he saw it up to him to use his connections to fix this. By the end of the week two people would be dead, there would be no loose ends and the nations would be safe.

ooc: well guys the stage is set and feel free to start RPing.

"The traffic report looks pretty grim," announces Senior Civil Servant Ming Deppner, his Arabic accented with a strange hybrid of Chinese and English intonations, as he adjusts his military-cut sky blue shortsleeves, making sure everything is suitably crisp and formal before he takes up his service coat, to which Diplomatic Officer Marie ibnat Hassan simply nods. Frowning slightly with a quick blink of his eyes under subtle epicanthic folds, he continues. "Not wholly unexpected, I suppose."

"Not at all," Marie agrees as she adjusts her segmented silver belt in the mirror. "We should start now to make sure we arrive on time."
