Dolphin Imperium
30-04-2005, 14:35
Lightning crackled in the overhead sky, fire consumed the bamboo cities, and great thunders rocked the very core of the world. “Panda One” was the last bastion of the evil Panda race, they had fought to dominate the Galaxy contesting the Dolphin Imperium for centuries, until this climactic battle.
On the surface of the lush green world Dolphins Marched through the streets in Napolenonic fashion, slowly consuming what remained of the Bamboo planet. Their chest rays created swathes of fire wherever the maritime creatures found Panda resistance, the order, like countless ones before them was to slaughter all, even the cubs, who fled high into the canopy, but that would not save them, nothing could save them now!
It is important to note that in the case of Dolphins, their language is in fact to me and you a series of high pitched squeaks, out of range frequencies and movements, but that’s from the lower Dolphins found in a pre-evolutionary state on the planet Earth. Chance would have it that on the Dolphin Homeworld “Pacifica,” the Dolphin master race has developed a language remarkably similar to English, with the only difference being the name, of which they call their language which is, “Isapetolianmagrelaian.”
Tuna One, In orbit.
Scholar one was comfortable in the great Tuna tank, the battle was going well, and reports were flowing in of Panda routs all over the planet, the war was finally at an end, with Dolphin superiority finally proven. “Finally, we have them beaten.” Scholar one professed. “Poor sports these Pandas, I expected a little more resistance.”
“The ground fighting is still heavy. We will have suffered millions of casualties by nightfall, our forces are not as to adept at land warfare as the Pandas.”
“Nonsense Scholar fifty eight.” Scholar one clicked. “The Pandas are an inferior race, proven by their inability to swim. Even on land we can out run and out manoeuvre them.”
“Apart from in the deserts.” Fifty Eight corrected.
“Yes well, nothing a few orbital strikes won’t solve.”
Cracking his tail in protest against the bulkhead Fifty Eight raised his tone. “We are not allowed to use any orbital weapons. The orders as you know come directly from the primary aggregate, we cannot endanger the Tuna reserves!”
“Oh yes, the tuuuuna.” Tilting his head Scholar one emphasised his sarcasm. “I am sick to death of Tuna! Is there not another fish in this Galaxy!”
“We have yet to discover it.” Fifty Eight emphasised. “Every oceanic planet we have found only has plankton, vegetation and Tuna. We should consider ourselves lucky in a way, lucky to be the only other maritime creature to exist.”
“Somewhere, out there, there must be another creature that can be devoured, and I will find it!”
“You make that pledge on every campaign Scholar one, and you never do anything!”
“Humph” Scholar pulsed as he left the primary tank, snapping at a rouge tuna as it swam past.
At the start of the Dolphin wars the Pandas had realised that victory would be impossible, their technological advantage was almost instantly lost by the capture of their great dreadnaught Yi Zang. The Dolphins reversed engineered the technology and as a result adapted to the various weapons systems that the Panda Empire could throw at them. In preparation of the final defeat the Panda Empire sought to develop an escape method, a way to save their race, and escape the tyrannical dolphins forever!
Panda Command: Hanger One.
Hang Zoi shuffled up the ramp, ushering mothers and their cubs into their stasis pods, the escape was going to be quick, and with the almost instantaneous changes in acceleration he could not be sure that the enhanced inertial dampeners would suffice. Panda Zero, was his races final attempt for peace, for seventy years he had engineered a wormhole device which would take him to another Galaxy, far away from the evil Dolphin menace. Activating all the systems he finally saw to it that the ramp was raised and the ignition sequence started.
Grasping the controls with his paws the ship slowly rose, and with a great burst of energy it flew off into the upper atmosphere.
Frowning Hang Zoi saw a Tuna class battleship blocking his path, it was currently situated in the exact coordinates where the wormhole was going to be opened. Hoping the shields would hold against the torrent of laser fire, he pressed the large red button; an accumulation of his life’s work which fell into the an area of 3cm square. Not very dynamic, but it would do the job. Slamming it down Hang zoi fled into his stasis pod, the computer would control the ship from here.
The computer devotionally generated the wormhole, consuming the Dolphin battleships, and saving the Panda Race, but were the Dolphins destroyed, or did they follow the Pandas?
OOC: This is here for anyone to find the Tuna Battleship, or Panda escape craft. Its utterly open and yeah I'm serious ^_^
