The NationStates International Olympic Committee General Congress

For Your Information
This congress is the main governing body of the IOC, below the Executive Council, a 7-member superior body that has the sole purpose of vetoing Congress decisions on Host Cities that it may feel are uncapable of fulfilling their duties as the Host City.

The NSIOC-GC will consist of, for now 37 members, one delegate from each applying country, meaning that a majority will be an even 25 on votes. If the 37 member chairs are filled, the GC will expand to a larger number.

Nations applying to the NSIOC-GC must have a population of over 25 million or their application will not be considered. Nations with long, accomplished histories of sports RPing will be favoured over non-sporting nations for acceptance into the General Congress.

Application process is over - seats have been filled.

When you apply, do so in the following format:
- Country Name (full version, i.e. The Free Lands of Randomistania)
- Population of your country
- One example of a sporting RP you've participated in (if you don't have one, you can still apply, but as mentioned above, you will most likely lose out to a known sport-RP nation in the end).

Hockey Canada down Kzuu Mai. Scouting reports on teams released.

A 2-0 win out of the gate for Hockey Canada was a good warmup when they faced newcomers Kzuu Mai. The started out looking strong in the pre-game warmup and brought that hype into the game with them. A quick goal 4 minutes in scored by late add-on Mike Ko catapulted Hockey Canada into an early lead and didn't look back.

The amazing defence by Hockey Canada kept all shots no where near the net, or the 18 year line for that matter. A yellow card by Mike Feznak int he 42nd minute scared the Hockey Canadians a bit but keeper Kyle Thomas dove across the net to get the save. Halftime energized the Hockey Canadians and they played very well for an all-defensive team.

In the 70th minute, Miko Ko scored his second goal of the game on a free kick 22 yards from the net. The post-game celebration resulted in showers of beer and an avalanche of media reporters. But the celebration was overcome when they heard of Sjwitz's 6-2 bashing of Euroslavia. They'll pick up the pace as the tournement wears on, as for now... Euroslavia and Sjwitz are waiting.

Kzuu Mai- Rookies that'll prove themselves in the near future, they'll try for the best in their first U21WC.

Euroslavia- Another team of rookies going out to give their best. An early loss to Sjwitz won't daunt them.

So as we prepare for our next game, Hockey Canadians will enjoy their moment in the sun.

The Capitalizt Olympic Committee objects to the assignment of the code CMH to Commerce Heights. In many international standards, CMH represents Communist Heights (OOC: puppet), while COM is used for Commerce Heights. We would hate for people to get the two nations confused.

OOC: Communist Heights will probably never enter any sports RP ever again (it was in the WC a while back, I think), but, like LEN, Commerce Heights has always been COM. It doesn't matter what your code is from beforehand, the Olympics are completely different and therefore countries may be assigned different codes. Second question's answer - why don't you ask CB about his nation? He'll tell you better than I can, all I can say is that he's been very involved in Pacitalian sports and tournaments and vice versa. I think he's a great addition to the EC.
