A royal Ball (Open RP, all invited)
The curtains where going up in Aust, as the Emporer, accompnied by Prince Matthew and his Brother Prince William strode ddown the marble floor. Tonight they would celebrate like few mortals had ever done before. it was the 2000 Anniversary of the formation of Aust, and tonight all Aust would celebrate.
To there right a long row of plates stood, full of the finist delicasys that Aust had to offer, the Emporer reached over and ate one of the boiled potatoes, he smiled and licked his lips, the toungh playing over small filed teeth, "delicious," he said to the chef who stood nervously waiting for the royal verdict, "As usual, carry one." The Chef visably sighed with relef and turned away from the small haunched figure that had so much power.
The Emporer turned away up the stairs and his aides followed him, "And now," The Emporer said in his cold chilling voice, "To get changed for the Ball, the dignatarys should arrive soon and it would be wrong to dissappoint them."
The two men turned away from each other, they each knew that this date had another meaning, it was 3 years to the day that the Emporer's parents had been killed alongside so many of the Royal familly. The Emporer had never been the same since then, he had been 11 at the time and yet had chased down his parents killers with a cold savage anger that brought fear into most hearts.
Somethign had died inside the Emporer that day three years ago, and although he was alive he looked like the walking dead, a pale haunted figure that never smiled. The last time he had smiled was when he personally killed his parents killer, with a red hot poker.
Still, the boy seemed not to accept what had happened, and still he did not mention his parents deaths, he hadn't mentioned it in the last 2 years, and Matt doubted he would ever again. Still he had to hope, hope that one day that his little cousain would become better.
He went to get changed for the ball.
OOC: Yes, I know I killed off Palpatine so take this as his last Huzzah, it's completly open by the way

OOC - Please do a spell check before posting dude.
IC - As Saerat arrived with two Clerics he was met with a smiling guard. "Hello sir, nice night is it not?" He said
"Indeed it is" Saerat replied looking up at the sun setting in the distance. "I found this invitation and was keen to meet your Emperor. May we enter?"
Mr. Gum grunted and yawned widely as he entered the ballroom dressed in his usual clothes: An all-black tuxedo, a night-black cane, and a dark top hat with raven hair poking out of it's sides. The man was slightly older than middle aged-unusual for a Ravean diplomat, who were usally much younger than he. Still, Gum was a veteran, and this was an important event.
Mr. Gum leaned againt a pillar, waiting for the Emporer to Appear.

OOC:
Hiya...you dont mind a tiny bit of fantasy, do you? Im a modern tech nation composed of Goblins...basicaly thats the only fantasy-item I use. If you do, please tell me so I dont have to hit 'refresh' constantly while waiting for a reply that isnt coming.
IC
Prince Thark of the Blood Moon tribe arrived with typical Goblin fanfare...that is very little.
Thark was regarded as slightly more traditionalist than his father, and was obviously slightly ill at ease with these 'automobiles', big, noisy, smokey, bad-smelling and ugly...although normally Goblins appreciated these traits as a human would appreciate fine art. Thark was young though, as as with most young Goblins he craved order and quiet. Youth these days, eh?
Thark advanced with his two assitants, one of his courtiers and the kings Diplomatic Speaker, one of the few Goblins capable of coherent English (and a few other languages) that was easy to understand by most humans.
All were dressed in what was considered standard royal attire for Blood Moons, mostly furs, although they were well tanned. They were also fairly old and showing it, Tharks robe had been owned by a king a few generations ago, and still showed the sixteen knife-holes in the back. This was not considered a major problem though, because Goblin blood washes out quite easily.
The three foot tall Goblins did look slightly out of place next to the 'tall' humans, conversation might be a challenge...

[[Blood Moon: it has been my experience that most people don't really mind Goblins, although their characters (particularly elves) might not care for them]]
By some strange fluke of communication the invitation transmission somehow managed to reach a particular asteroid in the belt between Mars and Jupiter within the Sol System. Unusually this particular asteroid contained a very rare mineral that possessed the strange property of altering communications, refracting them and speeding them up.
These particular transmissions had the dubious honour of hitting this asteroid and being refracted through a strange series of objects including black holes, hyperintelligent shades of the colour blue and random pieces of desolate spacecraft before finally being redirected to a strange circular object that was anchored in space just outside a massive red nebula. From here it was sent through the narrow channel known as the Gate to Gate Station, a massive fortified spacestation fashioned from a moon, and from there to the Castle Beyond the Goblin City, where King Griptite Da Supa Da [random number] sat in state, High King of the Nebula, Lord of the Combined Goblin Collective, Head Honcho of the Green Power Movement, Big Boss of Goblin City and King of the Goblin Lands.
At present, the King was sitting rather casually in his great throne, his court arrayed before him as a human scribe relayed the message to His Majesty. BladeGoblin dukes discussed the events of their worlds with GreatGoblin Princes and GateGoblin Admirals, Cunnin'un ambassadors and spokesmen discussed industry and economics with Lil'uns and Trolls as best they could while the Griptite dictated a reply to the scribe who typed down the words carefully, avoiding the typically Goblin writing - capitalisation and punctuation optional, spelling phonetically.
Before long the message was sent and a GateGoblin ship travelled past GateStation and EntryGate bearing Prince Oulin Clevanoiz, ninth (of better than forty) son of the King, and Duke Wosamicallingim (better known as Call) da Torch, BladeGoblin ruler of HotWurld.

Rean Sedai looked radiant in her silk scarlet dress, silver lightning forks were embroidered up and down the body of it while she wore a ruby pendant around her neck. Her hair was the colour of beaten copper and she sported two small gold stud earings (OOC, no prizes for guessing her favourite colour). Smoothing her dress one more time she embraced saidar, and making sure she had a firm idea of her destination in mind, opened a gateway to the courtyard in front of the Emperors Palace. She drew herself up to her full height, and as in manner of all Aes Sedai, especially the women, walked through and towards the front doors as if she owned the place.
Smiling at the guard on duty, she released the weave, allowing the gateway to spiral shut, "Good evening, i believe there is a party of some significance tonight, i trust verything is in order, shall we enter?"
It had taken half an hour for Palpatine to change into his cermonial robes, but he didn't complain, he never complained, even when the tailor stabbed him with a needle he didn't complain, he just gave the man a steely glare.
The assembled guests where below, and the royal speaker stepped forth, a hush fell, "Ladys and gentlemen and all other races and creatures, I welcome you to the Imperial Palces of Aust, home of the Emporer and of the goverment. I present to you now, upon this special occasion, His Majisty Emporer Palpatine the 4th of Aust, with his brother Prince William of Aust, commander of Austian Armed forces and Duke of the Southen Provences, with his wife Lady Catherine of Thrashia and also Prince Matthew the 2nd, Lord of the Air and Duke of the Northen Provences. With them is Prince James of Aust, Son of Prince Matthew and cousain of the Emporer himself."
At this the royal familly appeared on the top of the stairs, and illuminated by the lights of a hundred spotlights made there way slowly down the stairs, a lactum had been rushed up and the emporer stood behind it, his hunchbacked frame almost hidden.
"My People." He said, his voice icy, "My people, and assembled representives of other nations. I welcome you to the Imperial alace. I trust arrangements are too your liking. It will be, within the hour, exactly 2000 years since the Trijan proclomation that united the Austian tribes. it was then that Austian history begins, though the origans of our great people streaches far further back. However I am sure you realise that this day has a far grater symbolism to me and my kin."
"It is exactly 3 years, to the very minuate, when my dear mother and farther, along with the rest of the Austian royal familly where brutelly murdered in cold blood. This of course excludes myself and those present of Royal blood. I prepose a toast to them." He lifted a small cup of champagn. "They are rembered."
"They are rembered" he drank the cup and placed it back on the lectum. " However I have another announcement. My brother has finally manged to track down the last of those who slayed my parents," He reached into a small bag at the base of the lecutm. "Behold the head of the trator."
The head was that of a young man in his twentys, but was criss crossed with bloody cuts where Williams elegant swordplay had sliced it.
"Thank you." The hall was silent, no one had been expecting that. Meanwhile, seeming unaware of the effect he had had on the audience, the Emporer went and 'mingled' as did his brother.

Suddenly, in through the door comes Neo-Litaria's diplomat; Robert Brown, a tall, thin, wiry man wearing a tuxedo. His black hair was slightly unkempt; being in charge of Foreign Affairs doesn't leave him much time for grooming. He takes an empty seat quietly. He waits for the waiter, and potentional conversation.
OOC: You can itneract with each other!
IC: William made his way towards Robert, exchanging pleasentrys wiht the verious other diplomates on the way.
"Ah, you must be, Mr Brown," He stuck out his hand, "Pleased to meet you."
OOC: I'll be dropping in a character here in a bit, I have a coupla classes so it might be a few hours, but I'll be postin...I assume this is taking place at night, correct?

:D Hello. I am new here but if I may ask,can I put a character in the Royal Ball? I would like to participate in your thread. :D
Sincerly,
Roman Greece
The black Caddilac CTS-V rolled away from the airstrip as the black and white painted Gulfstream V SP lept into the night sky. On board was Cassandra Soiret. She was, to say the least, gorgeous. Her near perfect skin was just a shade dark of mily white, and piercing blue eyes sat above a set of dark red lips that were of perfect shape and size for her face. He medium length blonde hair was pulled back, and put into a tight, conservative, yet still attractive pony tail. Her red dress, a rather skimpy number, fit her athletic frame perfectly. She looked to be, at most, in her late twenties, possibly early thirties
Sitting next to her was a youngish brunette, early 20s, and not quite as attractive, yet none the less good looking. She wore a conservative suit set, black whit a white blouse. Her brown hair was left down, unkempt. She however, was not the one attending the ball. She simply was Cassandra's, to put it nicely, aide.
As soon as the plane cleared Imitoran airspace, the young woman pulled back the sleave on her left arm, and held it out to Cassandra. She took the wrist gently into her hands, and bit down, hard, just behind the hand. She drank her fill of the coppery red liquid, and when finished, she ran her tounge over the two wounds. If it weren't frighting to the point that realizing Cassandra was a vampire, it would have been near erotic.
Cassandra wasn't your average Ventrue. Sure, she had been picked from a rather well monied family in Imitora, and yes, she was a power player, but her looks almost screamed "pick me Daeva." Of course, when it came to the almost miniscule Vampire population, Imitora held to no conventions. Cassandra sat back into her seat, and relaxed as the flight quickly moved towards Aust. It was beyond her why she had been sent, and wondered silently if an actual representative of the Imitoran government would be there as well. She sighed, and waited for the flight to finish.
It did soon enough, and transportation that had been aranged before hand brought her to the ball. She exited the vehicle, advising her aide to stay with the aircraft, and that she would return shortly, before sun up. With that, she turned, the light catching small sequins on the cocktail dress, reflecting her beauty. She entered the room, and began to move around, looking for the place to mingle.
:D Hello. I am new here but if I may ask,can I put a character in the Royal Ball? I would like to participate in your thread. :D

OOC: Sure.
Matt immidetly saw Cassandra enter and was taken by her buety, hw amde his way towards her, only to be stopped by the Dutchess of Everwood, a small town near Tanka, who wanted him to make the aquatence of her daughter.
OF course in Aust, trying to improve your statius and rank in the nobility through marrage was a well used tactic and Matt knew he and his relations would face countless such advances tonight. The girl could not have been more than 15 and she was bucked toothed and ugly. He quickly brushed off her attentions and made his way once more towards Cassandra.
He was of classic Austian build, small and chunky with dark skin that belied there indian ancestry. However unusually he had a shock of blond hair, a hallmark of his scadinavien mother. He was, handsome, well he was handsome as Austians judged it but his limited itneraction with other cultures meant he didn't know how they would respond to him.
He felt a stab of nerves as he approched her, how would she react, if he had approched any Austian they would have been flattered even to talk to a member of the royal familly, let alone the Emporers cousain. And he didn't get many chances to meet those from other nations, his job as the Emporer's aide and the senior, at least age wise, member of the royal familly meant that he was busy all the time with affairs of state.
The ancient Austian proverb If you don't try, you've already failed drifted into his mind, it was one of the many that had been painted onto his bedroom wall by his farther when he was little.
He was about to reach her, taking a deep breath to calm his nerves he spoke akwardly, "Hi, you must be the delegate from Imitora," he reaconised her from the guest list, "Welcome to Aust."
Cassandra allowed her eyes to move over Matt, examining him as she moved closer. It was obvious he was approaching her, she knew it. She allowed a slight smile to cross her face, she was half flatered. Well, she wasn't exactly flattered, as being one of the many undead, she couldn't feel. However, if she had at one point been flatered, the echo of that emotion now entered her conscious. She moved gracefully towards the delegate, and stopped short, letting him come the rest of the way.
He spoke first, and she returned with a smile, and a slight bow. "Yes, I am. Cassandra Soriet, it is my pleasure to make your aquaintance," she said, the words flowing like honey. Her voice wasn't to deep, yet not to high. Like most ventrue, almost everything about her bordered on near perfection.
Two brilliantly uniformed men entered the ball room. One Was a tall muscular brown haired man. He was wearing a small crwon uopn his head. He was Crown Prince Grand Duke Captain Sir Samuel Vandaland, heir to the throne of Findan. The man behind him was Captain Sir Alfred de Hessington VII, heir to the mighty de Hessington Arms Company, Findan's and Hadonia's primer wepons manufacturer. He bowed to the royal family and then after he bowed to Princess Heather H'Ines he exclaimed "Why my dear lady, you are perhaps one of the most beautiful and extravagent women I've evere had the pleasure to have seen." He presnted gifts to the family. To all three of them he gave them a classic de Hessington hunting rifle. "It is simply the best in hunting rifles in the world, as we say in Findan 'You simpily can't beat a de Hessington', and as a special gift to the lovely Princess Heather H'Ines a fine handmade Katana made by Henry de Hessington. It is made of high carbon steel folded 596 times and the pommel is inlaid with 24K gold." "t is a pleasure to meet you all."

Matt smiled at her and blushed, the few nagging doubts he had about her had been brushed away. He still had some strange feeling about her, she was almot too perfect and there was some strange unemotional quality about her.
"A pleasure for myself as well," he said, "I don't balive you have visted Aust before, Mrs Soriet, may I take you on a tour of the palace gardens."

*Bag pipes wailed down the halls as a small group of uniformed men entered the room. they were led by a young man in a White uniform*

The black Mercedes slowed, his driver scanning the numbers for the correct addres. On the back of the car sits the small and un-likely dictator-ess that nation Sfera was named for, and her guard. They quiet whisper with each other, she confessing her suprise to be invited on such a ball, and he offering his protections and re-assurances.
Their whispers interupted by the driver...'Madame we are arrived'
The car slows to stop. The driver moves to open the back door for Sfera, and uniformed guard Aleks moves to her side, touching light to hold her by her arm.
Sfera nerves hands move to adjust the cat ears piece on her head ;), then drop to smooth her long white dress, and adjust her red sash.
'Madame, you are without defect' Aleks speaks and begins to gentle move her towards the entrance doors.
Greeted on the entrance by the ball invitation control, Aleks presents their invite, and inside the great hall they are led.
Sfera's eyes grow large, scanning a crowd for any dignitary that she may know, but it seems that here such is not.
The architecture is grand and the crowd well dressed, on the manner of their stations.
The orchestra already plays, some music what seems familiar yet not.
Aleks leans close to her ear, whispers 'I will for us get drinks, wait me, I will soon return, and please, remember your English, if any-one should speak with you.'
He leaves Sfera there to stand, her eyes large, and always moving, over the crowd, over the room. She tries to review on her mind, the polite phrases. Almost hoping that no-one speaks, she is not certain the words on English will easy come.

The delegates from the Combined Goblin Collective moved easily into the room, Prince, Duke and a brace of Cunnin' Goblins. Their GateGoblin captain had elected to remain aboard ship, as was the custom among the flight-obssessed GateGoblin species, staying with the GateGoblin crew and the rest of the Prince's retinue.
The Prince stood at five feet three inches tall (slightly shorter than average for a Great Goblin), with disturbingly bright orange and purple hair that was gelled into spikes along the top of his head before being bound into a long pony tail that fell to his waist. A carefully trimmed beard matched the clashing colour of his hair, contrasting not only with the other colour, but also his rich green skin. Long pointed ears bore gold, silver and platinum rings along their length in mute testimony to the Goblin obsession with shiny things - something enhanced by the gold and silver embroidery down the sleeves of his black suit. A deep blue tie provided a neat contrast to the Goblin Prince's ebon-coloured shirt.
Standing well above his prince, the Duke of Hotwurld was an impressive round seven feet tall - well above average even for the tall BladeGoblins, and was even more slender than one would expect of an anorexic human of naturally thin build. Despite the goblin's thin build he did not appear unhealthy, even seemed in good shape giving him the faint appearance of the swords after which his subspecies of Goblin was named. A long, slender sword was sheathed at his waste, jewelled hilt giving it the impression of a ceremonial rather than functional weapon despite the magical aura eminating from it. The BladeGoblin's hair was cut short, and styalised into many spikes. His hair was a luminescent blue slashed with bright yellow. His clean-shaven face was marked with several duelling scars gained whilst training his skills. His jewellery - from earrings to finger-rings, was a less ostentatious echo of his Prince's, as were the sleaves of his suit. His tie was a rich red rather than a blue, bearing the crude runes and styalised flames that indicated the desert HotWurld among the intersystem Combine.
In contrast to the relatively tall and well dressed Goblin nobility, the Cunnin'uns were three and a half and four feet tall respectively and were dressed in an odd assortment of metal that was apparently supposed to be some kind of ceremonial armour, hole-filled helmets had brightly coloured hair sticking out and faint mutters could he heard coming from within the strangely shaped head armour. Each was carrying a large crate that obscured their view, managing to avoid colliding with guests by the simple method of looking almost vertically up at the backs of the Prince and Duke, and by following directly in their path.
The Goblins headed in the general direction of the emperor to pay their respects, pausing to allow others to pass in some cases, in others nodding politely to those who stood aside for the strange party.

Palpatine showed no signs of suprise at being confreonted by the goblins, he seemed totally at ease with the deminutive creatures.

Cassandra noted the man's movements, all but studying him. She did her best to conceal her actions, her only facial expression a warm, welcoming smile. "I'm afraid this is the first time I have the pleasure of visiting your fine nation. I would love a tour," she said. "Please, lead the way."

Rean Sedai looked on in mild surprise as a second party of goblins entered, her eyes immediately moving to the somewhat interesting choice of hair colour, dissapointed that out of all the colours goblins could pick, she could see no red amongst the clothing. Deciding to pay her respects to the Emperor she headed in his direction.
As she approached the Emperor she smoothly untied a small pouch from around her waist, "Good evening Emperor, i congratulate you on avenging your family, the beginning of the party was different certainly, and in fact my gift is related to warfare, although we Aes Sedai are bound by the third oath to not make a weapon for one man to kill another, we can still craft items to conceal a man from his enemies." From the pouch she held she drew forth a bundle of cloth which shifted in colour and tone as it moved, holding it up and allowing it to fall free she said, "it is a cloak, made of a substance we call Fancloth, this is a Fancloak, the material is designed to mimick its surroundings so reliably as to make the wearer almost invisible." She offered it to the Emperor
"I would be delighted to give you the tour, follow me." he led her out of side door in the main hall and down a sloping passage to a lift, her set it to take them down to the ground floor. They reached a long, heavly windowed passageway that encircled the gardens, "I am afraid it is far to clod outside to see the main gardens, at least if you don't want to freeze," Matt told her, "it's midwinter, and that means -40 celcius temprestures. However we do have a heated inside gardens and viewing gallerys of the main gardens."
The windows showed a great virety of flowing plants, some feet deep in snow, yet whos small flowers showed themselves above the surface and where taking in the artafical light, it was dark outside, yet in winter Aust was always dark, the sun wouldn't rise for at least a month, and even then it would be for just a few hours.
"Remarkable isn't it," he said, "That these plants can survive and thrive in such tempretures."

I really would like to get to know you more. I've heared your good at fighting. What do you prefer hand-to-hand or using wepons like staffs?"
"Ah, of course, I rember that now, I had forgotten what with the shock of my cousain revealing the head of the trator and all that. Yes, of couse, I can do both, but I find it to my advantage to sue weapons, due to my small stature"
Cassandra moved with Matt through the gardens. She oucld have gone outside sans coat, but that would blow her cover, so she moved along with him inside. Its fairly barren."

The two taller Goblins half-bowed politely to their host, before the Prince spoke calmly and carefully, as though trying hard not to let his accent show (an accent that makes Pidgin sound like one of Shakespeare's greatest works), and achieved his aim with reasonable success.
"We would loike to thank youze for hosting the event, and exteend our greetin'z to youze az the host of the ball."
The five-and-a-quarter foot tall Goblin clicked his long, slender fingers and the two balls of metal (supposedly containing Goblins) scuttled forward and placed the crates upon the ground before carefully opening them. One crate contained a few rows of bottles, containing variously strangely coloured liquids, and the other a number of boxes, each carefully and painstakingly labelled in almost illegible Goblin scrawl.
"This crate containz a gift for youze'z drinking cabinet, varyin' from Da Strong Stuff - that is, flavorisation and then one hundereded purr-centz of alcylol...we still iz not sure how the Hopskotch Breweries manage it, but even our nonGoblin freyndz have confirmed it wiv their own interuymentation, to the Light Stuff - only thirty purr-centz of alcylol.
"The other one has varying prezents - a custom in the Combine iz to give many little presents as one big, for greater fun and joyness at latering times."

"In winter most of Aust is barren, these have been speically grown using the lights. We used to have famines, but now we import so much food we are fine. Besides Aust isn't any good for crops, to mountainus. I'm intrested about your lands though, what sort of country is it. Is it like Aust, a monacy, or is it a democracy, or worse, communist?"

"I have heard of those," Heather said, "I find Kendo staffs, and a Quita are more usefull."
palpatine almost shuddered at the Goblins accents, he himself was well educated in the finest arts of speaking and all traces of an accent had been beaten out of him. "I am sure my companions will enjoy them, I am of course a minor and therefore am not legally allowed to drink achol, but thanks none the less."

The Goblins stare openly at the Emperor in abject shock.
"Not....allowed....alcylol?"
The two members of Goblin nobility turned to each other and spoke rapidly, their dialect and accent so terrible as to be actually beyond comprehension - quite amazing that they had even managed to make themselves understandable in the first place, let alone managing to be at least halfway clear of lingual bastardisation. After a few seconds of speech the two turned back to the Emperor, offering an apology for the rudeness in speaking the Goblin dialect - citing confusion and shock as the reasoning for it, before the duke - accent slightly different to that of the Prince, and who is also worse at removing the strange linguistic differences - spoke up about the cause of their discombobulation.
"Youze see, in all of our Goblindom there is being no limitation upon the drinking of alcylol, it is something of pleasurable nature to be drinking but also a most useful energy source for we Goblins of the Great Nebula of Paranoia. It is something that our bodies do find easy to be converting into chemicular energies and so is being most useful indeed for us....many Goblins have been lost for many months with nothing but their Special Stashings of drinkables and have survived...despite having to go for many long periods of lengthy durations of soberness."
At the mention of sobriety all four Goblins shiver slightly, as if being sober for more than a few hours (generally for complex work or for diplomatic purposes only) was something most unpleasant to their species.
"For us, drunkenness is most hard to achieve, requiring many more drinkables than humans, possible this is for our enjoyment of flavorings such as cyanide and arsenic which I am understanding are ungood for humans, which makes us most difficult to poison but also most difficult for dangerous drinkingness, but soberness is most unpleasant...much like the dying of thirst and hunger combined with most unpleasant drug withdrawal illnesses for youze humans. The idea of soberness for many years is...most un-nice for us Nebula Goblins. I most apologise for speaking so long, the shaking-up of unpleasant subjects seems to encouragement we BladeGoblins to speak lengthily, much as it makes Lil'Un Goblins go all quiet and secretive.
"Even if it is not being possible for you to be sampling these most excellent of Hopskotch and Spiky Sponge Brewery producements, we are hoping that the other items might still cause joyness."

"Imitora, is, well, interesting. We have elections, but it comes down to who can hire the better assasins or has the most money. There is no parlimentary structure, or any group that backs up the First Speaker. Whatever he or she says, goes. Semi democracy if you would. Terrain wise, well, there are mountainous areas in the east and Dessert in the south. However, the cities are purely massive, and truely come to life at night."
If Cassandra could have emotion, it would have been seen in her eyes at that moment. She came from Northampton, by far the biggest city in Imitora. It was the center of everything in the nation, government, night life, society, everything.

Caledor, Junior Diplomatic Minister and Mage of the Second Degree, appeared in a blinding flash of light just inside the ballroom. He had been sent from the Great Magocracy of Caladonn to further relations with Aust, and see what other nations would be there. He was seven feet tall and slender, even for an elf, and had dark green eyes and black hair. He was dressed in the flowing silver robes of his status as a Second Degree Mage, and held a tall black staff topped with a diamond in one hand. He strode in the direction of the Emperor, who was currently conversing with, annoyingly engough, Goblins. Caledor sighed, but told himself that it would not do for a Mage of his standing on an important diplomatic mission to allow personal tastes to get in the way. He continued forward, looking at the other guests.
The Goblins stare openly at the Emperor in abject shock.
"Not....allowed....alcylol?"

"I am sure they will. Here we have laws about the sale and allowence of achol, and not only is drunkeness servirly frowned upon by the law courts, but it is also illigal to have achol, under 14, which is the age I'm presently at."
"I do not like the stuff much anyway, I enjoy the odd glass of chamagn, and sometimes some French red, but other than that I can't stand the stuff."
"However I must say your other gifts are most interesting. I am sure they will be prove useful and effective beyond measure of anything made in Aust."
"The citys in Aust are massive as well, Aust City is nome to over 2 billion people, and of course it only occupies a basien of 12 miles, that of coruse explanes the extream hight of all our building, we cannot build out so we build up, how big is Northhampton?"
"You could say our citys come to life at night, but they also come alive in the day, there is no real diffrence here."
Willaim saw the mage Lord enter and saw the look of disgust at the Goblins, and realised there was a potential situation here, he made his way towards the elf, frantically trying to work out from the guest list who the hell he was. OF course all the guests are announced but he hadn't been paying attention.
He finally rembered and tapped the elf on the shoulder, wondering what the elf would think of being tapped on the shoulder by a 14 year old, a big 14 year old, but still a 14 year old.
"You must be Caledor, from Caladonn, pleased to meet you, I'm Prince William."

Caledor turned around, his robes swishing, looking down at a young human in exquisite garb. "Ah, you must be Prince William," Caledor said, as he bowed smoothly. "I must introduce myself. I am Caledor, Junior Diplomatic Minister and Mage of the Second Degree of the Great Magocracy of Caladonn. It is my pleasure to visit your glorious nation on this auspicious event. I am saddened by this day's cruel irony, however, and must offer condolences from both my nation and myself for the unfortunate passage of most of the Royal Family those years ago. Although Caladonn is now a magocracy, we understand the adoration with which many nations regard their royals. And do not worry, I would not disturb this great day by conflicting with your more... vertically challenged guests."
Cassandra thought for a moment. "I believe at last count, Northampton had approxemately eight or nine hundred million people. Its a massive city though, spreading both outwards and upwards. Its pretty much the center of everything for Imitora, set on the rather sceneic Northampton Cliffs, over looking tha pacific."

The Prince nodded, showing absolutely no sign of the alcohol content in his blood - it is amazingly hard to actually make a GreatGoblin or BladeGoblin drunk enough that they would be disruptive. Probably the main reason they rose to power in the first place.
"I am understanding, it is correct that many nationz do follow this path of aczion, ztrange az is it seeming to us?"
Meanwhile, the duke was examining the Elf currently speaking to Prince William, slitted golden eyes taking in the magical auras surrounding the mage, knowing full well that Elves in general tend to detest his species, although the Goblins of the Combine had never had any great issues with the pointy-eared race. The smartly dressed Goblin bowed politely, precisely correct the merest degree for the situation, although it might appear slightly strange when a seven-foot tall Goblin bows. Politeness observed, the Duke returned to the conversation with the Emperor.

There was a brief flash of light and her eyes flicked in that direction to see an elf standing in the hall, he looked young, but Rean knew that elves were one of the longest lived races that she knew of. His silver robes contrasted well with his black hair, she noted his expression as his glance fell on the goblins.
"And it seems strange to us that you can run a fully functioning nation, complete with a diplomatic corps, when you are concuming large aounts of achol all the time." Palpatine told the Goblin.

"I can see you point entirely, it is indeed a most difficult nation to be governing. Bright light flashed around the room, despite the fact that the vial was a mere three centimetres across. "This, your Majesty, is the fabled Solvent of Atrazar, a highly potent elixir which allows the drinker to cheat death itself. When on the threshhold of death, if drunk, it will restore the user to full vigour and health within seconds. Surely a potent item, especially for a ruler. "While it is impolite to boast, it is true that our buildings and cities do vary from what may be expected, however we have certain adavantages, much of what we do would be extremely difficult or impossible if we could not channel the One Power. Pollution from indusrty and transport is non existent as the pollutants can be dispersed at the sub-atomic level, it is because of the clean technology that our society has focused on beauty and comfort."
"However with so few people able to channel in proportion to the population, the One Power must be used selectivley. The Aes Sedai concentrate their efforts on designing and creating the technology that allow our machines to function, there are cases where entirely new branches of research have been opened through the research of Aes Sedai. The best example i can give you is the Sharom, above the city of Shar Honelle, it is suspended four hundred metres in the air through the use of the worlds own magnetic and gravitational fields, but the technology that allowed it was discovered and refined through the use of the One Power."
"And while it may seem impractical to suspend a building above a city, the designers did it simply because they could," noticing the elf mage walking towards the Emperor, "excuse me for taking this much of your time, i shall mingle with the rest of the guests, congratulations again on reaching this momentous point in your nation's history."
